This castle is in the middle of the sea . The boat ride will cost you a fee of 50 TL round trip. Its called locally Kizkalesi castle. Please dont called it Maidens castle. The entry fee was 20 TL August 2022

One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, this castle is located in the water. To get inside the castle, you have to use the boat tour, which I think is worth seeing. If you are inside, you can easily take videos and photos. Beautiful record

Wonderful historical castle in sea sourounded by pure water.You can go up stairs on the castle wall to enjoy the wonder sea view.You can reach there by ships which take people from the beach to the castle for a fee.I really recommend visiting this castle once you arrive to Mersin

Situated about 300 meters on the mediterranean sea off shore, this castle lies on the center of Mersin province. Maiden Castle was manufactured to defend the ancient city of Korykos. The tough stonework of the castle, a matter of tradition is quite inspiring. The castle was mended by Karamanoğlu İbrahim Bey. The castle was named Maidens castle because it was informed that a king held his daughter here in captivity to make sure that she is safe but she was killed by a poisonous snake as predicted by some that she would pass away by a snake bite. Sometimes, castle is also called by locals as “Girl’s castle”. It went through a lot of empires but always remembered by the love of the father to his daughter.

Very Nice Place!!

Great place to swim or to take a boat and visit the castle. And by castle I mean the ruins. In summer it gets crowded, but even then you can find plenty of space on the beach.

Its a nice place to swim to, even though you would hardly find any fellow swimmers there. People prefer getting to the Castle by means of taking one of the numerous boats available at the seaside. The Castle itself is in the state of permanent repair, which is typical for Turkey, though.Anyway, I would like to recommend visiting the place in case you happen to reside nearby.

12th century castle from Byzantine Empire. Can get there with boat, sea bike or even by swimming. Its around 100 meters far from the coast.

I love coming here. The speedboat to the castle is a relaxing and joyful experience. I really enjoyed exploring the castle. You can climb up to the top of the castle. On the beach there are cafes so you can get a drink or something yummy to eat. Do not pass up this amazing experience!

Amazing! Take the boat there should be only 10Tl (maybe a bit more in season.Amazing place to run around for half an hour. But they should create a brochure or information area to get to know the history!

From the coast you have beautiful view to the castle and surrounding area. Theres kind of coffee/ tea place on the beach where you can enjoy views. Can be crowded and dirty cos of the people who dont look after. Also theres a boat which takes you all way to the castle if you would like to visit it. Nice historical place to visit.

dirtiest place Ive ever seen! Everywhere is full of dog poop, garbage, prostitution, drug dealers . Prostitutes are waiting at the childrens parks and hair dressers. Beach is not clean, full of cigarette butts and garbage. Local people are so disrespectful! All they want is money! At beach, everyone is trying to sell something to you, and yells. Maidens Castle, if you wanna try to swim til there you can but you cant go inside. Because its 5 liras. You can go inside, if you can bring money while youre swimming. Great historical relics, ruined by people! Everywhere smells pee and garbage. Dogs are everywhere. Not the safes place to spend a vacation. 👎

It is a nice place, it is pretty crowded for its size, the Castle looks beautiful from the nice soft send beach.

Girls castle - you can even swim there from the beach. The unique bad thing was that you could smell there a pee.

A great island to swim out to. The castle is really fun to explore.

Castles are in a good position but all around is very messy.

Swam out to it. Tough to walk bare foot on the rocks. Water was very cold.
