Giraffe conservation & breeding center with feeding platforms & a 94-acre forested nature park.
Beautiful place, beautiful nature trail too. Apart from feeding giraffes, little activities to do here. Nonetheless its fun and enjoyable
Great experience. You can have a walk too after feeding the giraffes. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Wonderful place to visit. Absolutely beautiful. Most of the visitors are international tourists, you get to feed giraffes by hand which is very satisfying. You also get lessons on how giraffes live and survive. There is a hotel and a curio shop where you can buy items which might seem a bit expensive depending on your financial capability. Would recommend to take kids with you, theyll love a close up with the giraffes if theyre but a bit scared at first. Probably due to the long giraffe tongue 😁
Just Amazing. To see and feed the giraffes. My daughter also had the most amazing time . Entry payable by card this was a big plus and will definitely return. There is a restaurant there and just good guides who explain about girrafes.
Amazing experience. There’s a gate fee which is separate for Kenyans and non-Kenyans (not much difference). Once you make payment and go through, you’re given the Giraffe’s food just incase you want to feed it.Lovely experience, totally enjoyed it!
Looking for where to go to on a weekend? Giraffe center is a good place to visit as an individual or group or family. It was fun feeding the Giraffes 🦒. I also got to see Warthog.
Giraffes are magnificent creatures and Giraffe Centre gives you an opportunity to get close to them. You get to feed them & there are guides to explain everything you want to know about the Giraffes.
It felt Therapeutic feeding the giraffes. I felt connected to nature like never. God is very creative and such a Masterplanner. The history and well planned detour within the site is well exhibited, the art work displayed is excellently so. I recommend nature lovers to visit, access to wheelchair and parking very available. There is an accompanying trail resembling a hike..with a Ngong View. Splendid place, Giraffe Center.
Amazing to see these creatures up close and be able to feed them like this. It just gets a bit crowded mid-day. I was told earlier in the AM is way better. Also I would imagine the giraffes also start to get full at some pt later in the day too and dont engage as much.
Loved being so close to giraffes and feeding them. A short informative talk about giraffes in Africa was great.
Although a very short trip and admission fee is too high for Non Residentials. But its worth if you like seeing giraffe really close. For locals admission fee is 400 ksh but for me it was 1400 ksh
Its a nice place for anyone who is a giraffe lover or anyone whos never been up close to them. You are given some pebbles like things to feed the giraffe. Awesome place to take your kids but not much variety of animals I only saw a warthog haha but hey if you want to be close enough to smell a giraffe then this is you place
This experience is perfect for all ages! The giraffes are so kind and very humorous. You will enjoy getting slimy warm tongues all over your hand, and the giraffes love posing for pictures! I would totally recommend this excursion.
Get to feed the Giraffes whilst overlooking social medias famous "Giraffe Manor". You wont spend more than an hour here, have a coffee or tea and buy some gifts. After your session, go across the road to a hidden yet amazing forest with lots of hiking trails. You might bump into a Giraffe along your hiking trail (Thank me later)
The experience was amazing because youre upclose and personal with these beautiful creatures. You also get the chance to feed the Giraffes if you want, youll be given special meal portions created at the centre to feed the giraffes with.
We have an amazing time at the Giraffe center, my kids loved the place 😊.The stuff were supper friendly they explained the important things to us. If you are in Nairobi please visit this place ☺️ you wont regret it.
I would highly recommend the Giraffe Centre to every age group. Its something beautiful to experience feeding these gentle gorgeous animals. Lovely peaceful place, very clean, staff are very helpful and friendly full of knowledge. Very welcoming too. Thank you for a fantastic day out.
I absolutely love the giraffe Centre.I took my clients there last Saturday and they absolutely loved it.Feeding the Giraffes was the highlight of the day.It was a very short visit as the clients were on their way to Amboseli. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They understand the giraffes and they gave us tips on how to get cool shots with the giraffes.I do this trip so many times as I run a tour company but every time I visit, its absolutely an adventure!!Thank you Giraffe Centre!!
Superb! Nice facility, wish there was a longer walkway to feed and interact with the giraffes. Come early to avoid the crowd. Nice little learning sessions about the animals are given.
Must visit for all tourists. Feed the giraffes and get clicked with them. Its been renovated about an year ago with a ramp going up the platform to reach the giraffes. A small snack shop and curio shop add to the whole experience.
Amazing experience feeding the beautiful giraffes. It was a bit busy so one has to wait their turn to feed the animals. But really awesome anyway!
Wow! Such an amazing experience!!! Such a beautiful animals, that you can feed and touch. The place is small, and all the activity takes no more than half an hour. But what half an hour! Very very recommended!!!
Ive been here severally and enjoy feeding the gitaffes each time . The education center is quite insightful. The giraffe center is a great initiative for the Rothschild giraffe population. Keep up the great work
An excellent time feeding the senior and young giraffes. The walk through process was extremely efficient and at no stage did it feel overcrowded or constrained. Great tourist experience.
Loved every second even if we are only feeding the giraffe, you get to be as close as you can get with giraffes. No long queues and it seems like there really isnt a time limit here either.
This place is a must in Kenya. The giraffes were gentle and feeding them was such a beautiful thing to experience. Shortly after walking in through the gate there is a stand with the food for the giraffes. The food is in a cute coconut shell and there is buckets throughout the centre to put the shells in when the food is done. The drive to the centre was a bit wild so definitely put on your seat belt. Parking was a bit difficult, not a lot of parking spaces available.
Such an incredible experience!! The guides gave us interesting information on the giraffes & conservation efforts, and the giraffes seemed to be treated very well! Super cool.
Its very beautiful place. Take care only card and online payment are accepted. No cash payment for entry. Staff is very well behaved. Very good store store available for shopping for special items.
Enjoyed close contact and feeding the world’s tallest animal, the giraffe! The African Fund for Endangered Wildlife - AFEW Kenya has done extraordinary work rescuing and saving the Rothschild giraffe species from extinction. It was an exciting and memorable experience!
Beautiful place. You get to feed the giraffes up close. Very clean as well. My kids enjoyed
Its a nice place. For Non Kenyan residents, the entry fees is 696 Kenyan Shillings. At the entrance, they use to provide food of Giraffes in a coconut shell which we need to feed to Giraffes with our Hands. You can click pictures with Giraffes. It is really a fun place.
This was a fun experience. Learning about the different types of giraffes. You also got the opportunity to feed them. This was definitely a Bucket-list experience.
This is my second time here. Went with my family and they loved it. It was such a nice activity for us to do together. Cant get tired of seeing these magnificent creatures. Will be back again 😉
Giraffe center is a nice place to visit yes, its affordable (Ksh400), you will be given pellets the giraffe can feed on from your hands, they are trained and you can touch them too, but its a very short visit and they dont have any other activities rather than feeding and seeing the giraffe and in 30 minutes you are out. But scenery is good for pictures.
The giraffes are amazing. Just been careful with your feed dish. The giraffes are also very greedy and will try to steel the food with their long tongues!
Loved the fact that there are guides present at all times because people tend to push limits with animals, the centre has well marked systems in place from entrance to exit and are very well organized. The giraffes are magestic and can be friendly once they warm up to you, you can also spot warthogs below I enjoyed my visit. Will definitely pay them a visit again.
This is a very beautiful home for giraffes. The staff were courteous and professional. Told is what to do. We paid via our cards. A calm lovely place. Got to feed giraffes.
It’s a small place, slightly overpriced but still it creates a fantastic experience. Expect maximum only 20 minutes in the place. Suggest to visit it together with other nearby attractions (mamba village, animal orphanage, botanic garden, massai market, etc.)The giraffes are so beautiful and their eyes are just magical. Be prepared to get lots of giraffe saliva as you feed them. It’s great to see they put the feeds on coconut shells - pretty environmentally friendly.
I enjoyed my experience at the giraffe center. The place is wonderful ever since the renovation was done. I highly recommend this activity for both first timers in Nairobi and repeat visitors.
A wonderful place to visit and interact with the Rothschilds giraffe. It is next to the fame, Giraffe Manor. The Rothschild Giraffe is a subspecies of the Northern giraffe. It is one of the most endangered distinct populations of giraffe, with 1,669 individuals estimated in the wild in 2016.It is about 15 dollars to enter and it is a beautiful experience.
Giraffe centre near Nairobi is those one of experience which should be in everyones bucket list. The places houses rescued giraffe and gives you one one encounter with gentle animal. The tickets are 1500 Kenyan shillings per head which provides you entry and feeds for the animal. The experience is mind blowing with which close encounter with the Animal is unparalleled and never experienced for most of the visitors.
It was fantastic nd a very interesting day for me with the giraffes🤭I got be near them and to top it all up I got to feed them also 🙈🙈this a MUST-TO-GO if you looking for this new thrill experience 👌💯
The place is well developed, have added screens that allow people to learn more about the Giraffes. The Giraffes themselves are very friendly and dont become aggressive when you feed them.
The Centre offers you a chance to be very close to the tallest giraffe species by feeding them. It’s child friendly and has a relaxing atmosphere.
The giraffes are well taken care of, with onsite guards to make sure visitors have the best experience while respecting the surrounding environment and species. The facility has an educational centre as well as nature trail.
I fed a giraffe!!! 🦒Well organized, one place in Kenya where the Covid spread prevention measures are strictly followed.I noticed trained people from the center among the visitors, there to assist in case of aby emergency.A good place to take your kids 😉 to have fun. And one for adults to conquer their fears🌚🌚🤣🤣🤣
A short tour, but well priced compared to other nature related activities in Nairobi! You get up close and personal with the giraffes and they have the freedom to come and go as they please. The staff were friendly, informative and always there when you needed but not in the way.
A fun place to visit and the kids love it. The centre is run by a non-profit organisation and provides a home for endangered Rothschild Giraffes. You can get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures – feed, take selfies and even get a kiss from them if you wish! This is a great experience for all!~ Ayaan @ traveltribeafrica.com
What a lovely place! You can take some pellets and leaves and go on a bridge where the giraffes come to eat :)Sadly, it can take some time since the giraffes basically do this all day, and there’s also lots of people pushing in front to feed the giraffes, but being this close to the giraffes is a wonderful experience.
Had a lovely time there. After paying the entry fee, we were given little bowels with feed for the giraffes. It was nice to get up close to giraffes. As an added surprise, some warthogs showed up.
