This is the best bar hands down, they always provide great service and have the best bartenders. David, Chelsea, and Gianna always make it a fun and social experience whether you’re on a date or at a work social, or simply just want to catch a game! Simon, the owner, is fantastic, and makes the experience a true joy. He makes it feel like “your bar” every time you show up. I would recommend this place over any other in the city!

Very good pizza and attentive staff. My family and I were there on football 🏈 Sunday and it was quite busy but the staff made sure we were taken care of. My 7yr old granddaughter is a very picky eater and she wanted a 3rd slice of pepperoni pizza! That says a lot. 👍👍

Good food, chill atmosphere, nice staff. The Greek salad, I return for. Bar in the back, I think three tv screens with varied sporting events. Mid range prices. Good pizza. I like a crispy crust.

I like the spaghetti and meat balls. The baked Ziti is good. The Buffalo shrimp are soooo yummy. Happy hour is discounted prices.

Alcohol was over pricey and it didnt taste like what I asked for which was Hennessy...And my sister makes drink was awful wouldnt go back.🤣

Really nice place to eat & have a few drinks. The employees their are nice bathrooms are cleaned! No where will u go in life will be PERFECT! When I’m in town, this is my Fav place to go! Thanks to great food & Customer Service.

Today I went to this location for a cheeseburger platter and the fries were absolutely horrible!! Some of them were not edible. A complete waste of my money 🙁

There was literally a bed bug or roach in my food. I am so disgusted and disappointed. I just vomited.

The bartender didnt act as if she wanted to serve me until I decided to walk to a table... The table waited male with abs n some would say is white couldnt ask if he could wash my bottle out. I ask for ice n he gave me less than a half of the bottle. I order a slice of pizza....... I went to the bathroom n they had my pizza sitting on the counter uncover. I asked for a new one fyi after he handed it to me n it rubbed against the napkin case. He gave the cashier the same pizza... It was more cheese pizza.... The drink was good... The cheese steak was good. Was not worth the price, anything more than bread, cheese n meat cost more. I dont wanna give a homeless person this slice...

Went here as dinner spot for our first place to eat in Philly. Food is good but it comes with an deranged wacky staff to ruin your night. So be prepared to leave no tip due to the lack of competence and genuine service.

The food is fresh and hand made. The salads crispy and appropriately green, red, white and purple.The cheesesteak rolls should be ordered in groups. Thin crust, chessy, groundbeef filling, fried just right. They provide a tangy spicy ketchup on the side.The Greek salad was fresh with chunks of feta, olives, green peppers and 2 grape leaves.A wonderful quick option, lunch, dinner and the kitchen is open after 10pm.!!!!In COVID-19 thats a gift!

Giovanis at lunchtime is a subtle, hustle and bustle. The White Tuna Panini is absolutely delicious! Their handmade crumbled cheesecake has a good taste. Would be even tastier if the cream were a little sweeter:)

The RUDEST staff i have ever met. The security guard put his hands on me and yelled at me because I tried to go into the bathroom with my friend without knowing that they only allowed 1 person in the bathroom at a time. Bartenders were SO disrespectful and rude. So out of line. Do not suggest ANYONE coming here EVER

Basically a sports bar with a more varied menu including Italian, Greek, and vegan. I had the pasta which was very good. My girlfriend had a cheese steak which was also good. Limited beer selection. The prices were reasonable.

Great pizza place with over 20 selections of different pizzas available every day. Quiet, great service and outstanding choices of sandwiches and meals besides their trademark pizza bar. Definately a go to again. Presently visit atleast 3 times a week.

Have done a pickup order from here before, but ended up going here for food & drinks about a week ago. When you first come in, it looks like its just a pizza place, but theres a bar & dining area with TVs towards the back. We got there early enough to catch the drink specials during happy hour and beat more of the crowd that eventually came in. We decided to sit at the bar.The bartender was great and a cool guy - good service, personality, just attentive enough and good at stirring up conversation. We ordered a few drinks along with the Buffalo Shrimp and Wings as our apps. I wasnt expecting the buffalo shrimp to come out how they did, but they were really good! Great size shrimp that were sauteed (rather than fried which is probably what I was expecting), drizzled and sitting in buffalo and ranch dressing - you can get blue cheese instead of ranch since they ask which you prefer. The wings were decent size and what you would expect when ordering wings. The drinks were really good too. He mixed both of our drinks with just enough alcohol that they were strong, but not overpowering in taste.If youre looking for maybe a more low-key spot in Center City for some standard drinks & eats, this could be a good option.

Great staff and good food! Its not too big inside ofthis pretty popular pizza bar and grill. It fills up faston the weekends and even the daily lunch rushpacks the house! The bartenders are super dope(cooland very accommodating! Security keepseverything intact by strolling around the placechatting with employees and customers. Its a greatplace to hangout and kill some time or link up withyour friends for a great night out!

Ordered a pizza via Slice App and it was really strange. One side of the pizza was really undercooked, which isnt necessarily a terrible thing since some people prefer their pizza cooked a little lighter, but the other side was so overdone that the sauce was black and burned to the crust which was really unappetizing. Hopefully it’s just a one-off because this place has good reviews and is close to my work but it was really off-putting, so much so that no one really wanted to eat it after seeing how poorly it was cooked.UPDATE: After speaking with the owner they provided a replacement which was absolutely perfect. I can see why all of the good reviews. I would highly recommend ordering from here!!

After the eagles game ended it was a nightmare to get an uber on the street so we hopped in the subway just to get out of there and we got off in downtown.We asked a local man for a good place to have a good steak sandwich and he said Giovanni.We were not disappointed.Service was great food was good.Awesome place to have some drinks too

After walking all over the city, trying to find food after midnight on a Saturday, we wandered into Giovani’s. They were out of food, but we were so exhausted after hiking for miles all through downtown, we sat down for cocktails. John took care of us well, plus he was friendly and helpful.The scene at Giovani’s was late night great, reminding me of George Webb’s in Milwaukee at 1:00 AM. We had a ball.

The service was excellent and for the first time in a year I found a pizza place that let me have a pizza because my food allergies their pizza sauce doesnt have garlic or onions based products so for you low fodmap people out there if your hankering for some pizza the go to Giovannis bar and grill, the atmosphere is nice, and the service is great thank you for a good experience at your restaurant.

I ordered the sausage stromboli and and the chicken Alfredo. It was really good. I like their food. I will continue to order from this place

Went there "by accident". We went Philadelphia to try the Philly cheesesteak and there was this place which supposedly was the best. Just around the corner from Giovani, but massive queue. Just couldnt be bother to wait so tried Giovani. And Im glad I did. Really nice Philly cheesesteak, big portion, good flavour, and good price. Plus I didnt have to wait to eat. Nice and easy. Recommend.

A wonderful cheesesteak and beer oasis at 1533 Chestnut in Center city. The cheesesteak was very tasty but small but inexpensive especially considering you’re in Center City. The beer was priced right. Big screen TVs and you don’t feel like you’re in Center City. I liked it. Finding a parking spot on Chestnut helped the whole experience.

Stop by Giovani’s for a quick slice or check out their bar in the back for some drinks. My wife and I come through here every so often on our lunch breaks for pizza, and on our most recent visit, I had a slice of barbecue chicken pizza and she had a mushroom slice. Food was fresh and service was quick and pleasant. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Tgis place was very low key yet fun! We walked to the back for the bar to get the bar specials. It was a little packed because of the Egale game but still comfortable. My husband and I got the cheesesteak egg rolls, nachos with steak, and maragrita pizza. All of it was yummy! We got the shots of the day, green tea, and were very satisfied! The beer was served cold too! But I definitely retreat the candy apple drink. It was small, expensive, and not good. But Id go back to try other things if I was ever in the area again.

It’s difficult to give 5 stars nowadays but this place deserves it. Great price, great portion, great food. People call me crazy but I love pineapple and pepperoni and on their pizza was amazing. It was cooked hot and fresh and I will definitely be back when I’m in town again.

Such a cozy hangout place..! Decent selection of liquor. Foods great i would recommend falafel for sure. Buffalo wings have are little spicy and smells so pungent. Hummus n pita are so fresh and soft. Bacon fries are ofcorzz auhmericaaaa..! Good thing i was here on monday they hookah Mondays and prices are so reasonable.
