I hadnt been there for over 15 years and I was happy to see that the quality of the food is still the best. I would recommend anybody to go there. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the country. Free bread rolls and butter are served before your meal arrives.Recommended dish: Chefs PlatterGolden Tip: Do not go on a completely empty stomach because you may wait a while for your meal....but its definitely worth the wait.

Yes, we love this place! That is referring to the bakery. Did not get around to visiting the restaurant yet.Always ask what was freshly baked that day and you can never go wrong.The prices are very moderate and you can park right in front of the bakery.

Been here once, the food was great.

We visited their bakery next door and the rolls are delicious. Its even the only place in town where you can get something that a European would dare to call bread. Very good!But the best here are the different varieties of custard tarts, danishs and cakes. Absolutely incredible!

Bakery was awesome. Linguine was cooked nicely but a little over cooked (too softand kind of watery (too much sauceand salty. However, the sauce was really great. The vanilla ice cream really tasted like...... cream. Not a fan of it.Nice dining experience overall.

Service can be slow some days, but the food more than makes up for it. The Bakery is great. Well worth going to.

Great food & good service

Portuguese restaurant in the heart of Manzini close to the CBD. The service was not good, the waitress was slow, unattentive and not engaging about the menu or its contents. The food took long to come, but the quality of the food was ok. The setting and ambiance are well suited for large groups. Nice restaurant, but the service quality could use some improvement.

We travelled from Malelane Mpumalanga especially to visit this restaurant and we were not disappointed! Where ever me and my boyfriend travel to, we always looking for a good Portuguese restaurant, Gil Vicent ticked all the boxes I had the seafood platter which was outstanding, my boyfriend had the chicken, awesome atmosphere with friendly service and very clean, the resturant also had a bakery and bottle store attached to it. When we arrived in Manzini we could not find Gil Vicent as we had no signal on our phones, but the locals were very polite and assisted in directing us to the centre were Gil Vicent is.

the best place to have a good meal if you love good Portuguese food,the best in town and the atmosphere is good,and the wine list,incredible
