Great ambiance in an old industrial space that has been left intact to a surprising (and charming!degree. Excellent and surprisingly veg-friendly menu—the veggie burger was among the most satisfying Ive ever had—and good wine selection. Service was slow but friendly. One of my best dining experiences in Zürich.

Different atmosphere than your usual location in the area. Food is also great and personal friendly. Was great for a business lunch could also be good for a dinner with friends or datenight

Some time ago this place used to have a really good kitchen. Went there yesterday, and seriously, this was money terribly wasted. The chef still has not understood what a vegetarian meal should look like: its not simply dumping a load of veggies onto a plate, without taste or additional side dishes - in our case we each (!received an entire cauliflower, partially raw, seared at the top, decorated with some measly toppings of some sort. I felt like a cow in a garden - honestly. The cauliflower itself is already something hard to digest for certain people with delicate stomachs - but this atrocity topped it all. If this is the Restaurants idea of creative vegetarian cooking, then they are seriously wrong. A never again experience. And by the way: having to pre-order a fix menu for 13 people, when your restaurant is empty anyway, opened up other questions as well. Facit: this crew has a hard time coming back to business life after the Corona hiatus.

This restaurant concept is very unique. I think it looks romantic and it has a kind of industrial style. I really enjoyed it. I think its a good place for groups or also if you have a romantic dinner its a unique option. The food is great. 🥰😍 The kitchen is more swiss food but with a modern touch which I really enjoyed. Next time I will not take any starter as the main dishes are huge.. 😁😍 we really enjoed the stay, thanks for the great service.

Die Giesserei is an amazing wedding venue!As a destination wedding photographer I have been lots of weddings so Im quite picky. If youre looking for a modern, relaxed setting for your wedding this is it.Time flies and your wedding day will be over in a blur. I believe that every couple deserves to have the wedding of their dreams 💛

Appreciate the small menu. Everything was spot on, from the friendly staff to the great brasatto and the exquisite choice of grappa, even though I ended up drinking tea instead.

Tried both lunch and dinner. At lunch, nice post industrial atmosphere, perfect for not boring business lunches. Dinner, magic atmosphere, with incredible lights and mood. In both cases, food was delicious. Service also super friendly. Will definitely be back

Food is not bad, place is very mediocre. Dishes arrived incomplete which was acknowledged by the waiter but was not mediated and was still fully charged.

We had the vegan menu (falafel three ways, lentils and risotto venereand the lobster. Both dishes were outstanding. The falafel were really tasty and the lobster was cooked to perfection. Giesserei has a very nice rustic and romantic ambience. I can highly recommend this place

Went there for a business dinner, really original atmosphere and interestingly arranged inside. We all very much enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and helpful, food was good, wine really delicious. It seemed very busy even during the weekdays so probably reservations are recommended. Great place!

The place is a former Factory nicely refurbished with a unique ambiance. Very fine food, good wine. Only the desert was slighlty disapointing. The chocolate cake was not bad but really not special vs the quality of the other courses.

Best Lunch I‘ve ever had! Wow!!! We had asparagus - goat cheese salad, beef tartare and chickenbreast on couscous salad with yogurt dressing.I‘ve never had such a juicy chicken breast! The couscous was really authentic and perfect... I am SPEECHLESS!! 🤤😍 Perfect service - not too pushy but also not inattentive... GOLD! If I had to find a fault it would be the price...1 menue salad, 1 asparagus salad, 1 beef tartar (bigger size), 1 lunchmenue (chickenbreast2 coke Zero, 1 Sparkling water and two espresso = CHF 102.50.— 💰 actually not too much for zurich- but still too much for lunch only... 😅 BUT GUYS I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!

We were looking forward to this birthday dinner which in the end was not really worth the pre-excitement.The restaurant received a rather big group therefore the staff was not too much into us. Unfriendliness, chaos, wrong food information - are the words which come to our mind when we think of the experience.Foodwise it was tasty for some of us and def. Too cheesy for the others (gorgonzola should be highlighted prior since it is a very distinctive and not mainstream-cheese).

The whole setup, old factory; serving some excellent, tasty food. Price-wise is not on the lower end, not on the much higher either. Its one of the places that stands out in Zürich! Ive been there few times already and surely will go again!

Came here twice for dinner with friends. A really special place to go for a celebration, date night or a girls’ night out. Festive ambience with an industrial chic feel. Food was beautifully presented and they have a nice selection of wines on hand. Reservations required.

Lovely industrial feel about it, easy to reach, friendly junior waiting staff. But overall, I left a brunch with a decidedly stale taste in my mouth. The food was certainly acceptable (albeit no much more than that, there was nothing exciting on the menu, the presentation at the buffet clearly failed to impress on any level, the bacon wasnt particularly tasty, the juices didnt make my taste buds sizzle, the pork roast was everything but tender and I could continue to find fault, but thats not the main point of the review). The problem was the pricing and more specifically with the rather big gap between the promised price (CHF 55.- per adult in our group, incl. 1 glass of Champagneand the final bill: CHF 65.- per adult plus CHF 9.- for the glass of Champagne (which, by the way, most certainly was not Champagne but some cheap knock off sparkling wine where the bottle probably cost less than CHF 9). As I didnt organize the brunch, I dont know where the whole mix up came from, but when the pricing was challenged (and our assumptions proved to staff in writing), the senior staff reacted fairly poorly. It would be very unfair to give a 1 star review for this experience, but it certainly did not feel like my rather simple breakfast was worth CHF74). Maybe Im just to poor to be able to afford priced in Zürich-Oerlikon?

This would not even be my last choice. I would rather eat on eat out or something but for sure not here. There was only one vegeterian option and that was so worst that I could not eat even 1/3 of the food served. I had to come out starving and eat somewhere else. Not to mention , they are super expensive and not worth even a try. Think twice before you go there. I would not even rate or recommend if I have the choice. All in all, never to go to this restaurant.

This is a nice restaurant with industrial setting/ theme. The food is good and book in advance.

Good event location with is own charm.Video and audio equipment cab be connected, sperate bar area for Apero-style occasions.Biggest problem is the availability of restrooms. Only one toilet is easily reachable from the main dining hall without leaving the building. That is just not enough for large occasions.

This is such an elegant and cool place. Great food and service. I wish I could have lunch here every time I come in Zurich.

Excellent restaurant at Oerlikon. The location is in a vintage factory building and gives the customer a bit of the spirit of the golden industrial age.

Most uncomfortable chairs ever, feels like they want you to leave asap. Staff always in a hurry and you have to be lucky to be noticed by them. Food good but the main ingredient is garlic - seems hard to get a taste with good ingredients only.

only went for drinks, and the industrial setting is really awesome. if i remember correctly they had an open fireplace there too.
