I have been to Ghanta Ghar many times and I find the experience each time interesting. The place is full of old clocks which is why its named Ghanta Ghar. The reason its so interesting is because of the variety of clocks that have been put up there over the years

I am new at local guide. But this is a very useful feature and I am happy to here.

Love it, I am 35KM away from SUKKUR GHANTA GHAR but I travel 1 to 2 times in a week for shopping, u can get anything at there.

Ghanta ghar associated with our childhood where our Dad come along with us to having lunch at Qalandari restaurant which is abandoned now.. Very good place 👌

Ghanta Ghar is also called clock tower in Sukkur. It is the main hub of Sukkur City. All kinds of shops do their business. Most shops open at around 10 or 11 a. m.

Its a historical monument errected by a Hindu businessman, Seth Wadho Mal Nebhau Mal Manjhari, to mark the silver jubilee of King George V. It was inaugurated by the then Collector of Sukkur, UM Mirchandani, in 1937. Its a prime location in Sukkur sorrounded by many important places.

Ghanta Ghar means House of Clock. This tower has a huge clock on its top. This tower was built by Britishers before partition so that the people of Sukkur city

A symbol and identity of city Sukkur. Pre partition beautiful architecture but totally wasted and destroyed by Sukkur authorities and administration. Congested by shops, local sellers and a damaged road always overflowed by drainage water.

Its a good place and a human will find alll the things there at good price but the crowd is very much and for the parking of bike you will be charged 20 rupees there is no car parking but people park there and I suggest you to not to park there thank you

This place is good for mobile purchasing & sell, lawyers offices are also there, if you want hire lawyer you can. Electric appliances/accessories shops i.e fridge w/machine solar panels.

Sometimes I go there and sit at pathans hotel and look at the flow of traffic. it remained me the life of a human on Earth.

Had a chance to spend some time at the historical Ghanta Ghar CLOCK TOWER od Sukkur... Likewise the busy markwt places of Pakistan.. This one has some awesome feel... Yet not so dirty... Thr z a peace in the area.. Must visit place

Multiple shops are around this chowk, it is old bazar of Sukkur and still very much visited place. You can easily find fruits market, vegetable market, meat market, fish market and dry fruits shops are also there. Famous Dolphin Sweets and bakers are also nearby. A variety of jewellery is also available in different shops. Police station is also near to this chowk.

At the foot of hillock nearby with many famous buildings lies GHANTA GHAR (THE CLOCK TOWERfamous,busy, hub of all trade & commerce and gateway to bustling bazars & central fish,meat,vegetable market.Once there was famous HaAFEEZ cinema on one side now turned into shopping arcade, opposite to it is Al Habib Hotel & Restaurant centre for tasty food lovers at evening.Nearby is prepartition days IMPERIAL cinema. The population & the traffic on roads have incresed many folds which makes it difficult to move around. On eastern side is uphill road which approaches the MASOOM SHAH MINARET but this road is rightly used for one way downward traffic since beginning.The clock tower erected by wise British administrators is proof of their worthy dedication in reforming & developing the society of this area.

It is 90-feet high with four clocks that marked the passage of time on four sides. Once upon a time, the sounds of the tower’s bells resounded throughout the city especially at night, when life slowed down and the buzz of daily life muted.

Not something spectacular, in middle of a crowded market with lot of noise. Also the landmark has been covered by banners and stuff which makes it looks worst.
