Colorful chain with a large variety of ingredients for build-your-own Mongolian stir-fry bowls.
It was really tasty. They have good bowls. One of my wifes favorite places
Food was hot and great. Service was excellent, Zane was such a helpful person, I needed to correct an order, which in turned messed up one of my other orders. Very quick to resolve the problem and all was made right.
Great stir fry bowl place. Choice of bowls sizes and "fill your own bowl" or order prepared bowls (good selections of varied tastes). Great selection of meats, vegetables and sauces. Prices very reasonable. Staff and service quick and helpful. Bowl arrived piping hot and delicious.
It was awesome! Food was fabulously fantastic! So many options galore. Our server, Christian was the best server I have ever seen in all my years of eating out. Great food, great options, great service, and affordable prices!! 10/10 recommend.
This was a place I enjoyed, not so much now. I know many things have changed since the pandemic, including prices and lack of staff. It was a good clue (not busy at lunch time on the weekend)that I completely ignored but quickly found out why. Mostly it was the prices were ridiculous for cheap buffet style food, then there was the slim down of choices (including the only sauce I use).... last but not least was at no fault of the staff was the screaming toddlers running amuck under tables across seats. The staff was perfectly nice. I do question the person who thought it was a great idea to start charging extra for items that used to be on the buffet.... like$22 isnt enough?? I would give less stars but the staff was great.
Good food and great staff, just pricey for the quantity.
This location is one of my favorites to visit. The staff is always friendly and attentative. The food was fresh it didnt look like it had been sitting for awhile. Even though they were busy I didnt have to wait for my dinner for too long. I will definitely will be going back soon.
Loved it. Just put the veggies first in your bowl, and pack the meat on top to make sure youre getting the most for your buck!
I remember eating at this restaurant back when it open in 2008. The selections and services was amazing! Now the service has gone down and one of the items they had back in 2008 is not available no more and thats the sausage. As per an ex employee, the original vendor for the sausage could not keep up with all the new restaurants they were opening in 2013, so the company decided to do away with that vendor and go with Eckrich sausage company. Worst mistake ever!! The original vendor product was 100% better then Eckrich...anything is better then Eckrich, even H‑E‑B brand out weights Eckrich!!!!One more thing...the prices are out of control. Now they offer 3 bowl sizes so the customer can think they are getting a better bargain! But, Back in 2008 to 2015 they offered one size bowl and unlimited trip for an extra price.Like I mentioned earlier, it was great back in 2008 and now its not worth it especially with all those price hikes!!
The store manager is always rude and always argumentative, even when they are the ones that make the mistake. He don’t try to accommodate you and my wife and i are loyal customers and this is very unacceptable, for a store manager. The staff was great and very genuine it’s just the horrible customer service the store manager gives that makes you not want to come back
My wife and I eat at this location often. The staff are friendly and the manager always goes above and beyond to make sure we have a good experience.
Best place to eat in The Woodlands! Love the food and the fact that we get to make it our own!
Had a great time with my husband. The margaritas were tasty and the bowls are so good. We tried the Korean bbq meatballs as an appetizer and loved them. Zane was great! His personality and customer service skills were refreshing! Getting a great server/bartender like him is rare.
My wife and I went to the Woodlands location for a late lunch today. We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. I hesitate to call Ariel, our server because she treated us like we were old friends. She was cheerful and kind and checked on us frequently. The food selection was full and plentiful. The grill chefs cooked everything to our specifications and it was amazing! It’s been 3-4 years since we’ve been to a Genghis Grill, and all are not created equal. We spoke with the shift manager and complemented on our experience.I can’t wait to go back!Thank you staff and management for a wonderful experience!
Went in for a second time with my service Dog we were treated like trash by the hostess again and the manager this time was even worse. Please look into and train your staff accordingly. Its very easy someone walks in with a dog you simply ask is this your service dog 🐕🦺 they say yes or no and go from there. Do not automatically assume its not and tell the customer rudely with an eye roll that they need to go eat outside with their dog (that would be like telling someone with a walker or in a wheelchair to go eat outside. Then when the customer lets your staff member know the proper way to handle things with someone like me and my dog (ADA lawsas to not offend them like they did me to walk away with their hand in the air being rude to get a manager instead of trying to descalate the situation or helping the other customers waiting for a table to get a manager for him to come out totally lost and ask me how he could help me which I never asked for a manager all we did was ask for a table. Totally unprofessional not to mention the restaurant was a mess the restrooms were disgusting and they were out of several vegetable items as well. The server and the trainee that ended up helping us were super nice and made things a bit better once things calmed down...
Its good but not great so if youre dropping $50 as a couple (including tipId say go somewhere else. It was good, I was hungry but Im never going back and heres why:1. In 9 interactions with various staff only 1 showed any enthusiasm and customer courtesy skills. While all others werent rude you get the sense they hate thier job.2. The food is just okay, atleast the quantity is sufficient.3. Youre in the woodlands surrounded by better options!Youve been warned ⚠️ 😏
Ordered a bowl. Do not get anything except rice meat none of my vegetables were in my bowl. I ordered bean sprots, cabbage, carrots and onions
Looks like this location has newest decorations and looks cleanest.
It’s not Mongolian grill food it’s a stir fry spot. The sauces are definitely not Mongolian style and neither are the noodles
Worst food and service.Quality of food has drastically decreased and food is uncooked.Spicy sauce was not available. Not one good thing during my visit.I would never go back to this place.
The staff was great. The food was delicious. I will definitely be going back more often.
First time ordering, the server was super friendly and helpful especially with ordering the food.
My family and I love eating here! The food is good and staff is very friendly!
Ive used this restaurant infrequently over the last couple of years. Their food is undeniably interesting, and its best its terrific. Unfortunately their service and their cooking is a toss up in quality. Long wait times before being seen to and partially burnt food are fairly normal in my experience, and tonight I left without being served. If you can get them at their best theyre a great experience, but I dont think Ill be coming back.
We order the potsticker for appetizer and they were awful. They took forever to bring my husbands bowl.I was finished with my meal when it finally came . It was a bad experience we will never go there again.
Great food will go again and very nice
Great place to experience a different type of food service!
Food is good, lots of choices and ingredients are good quality. Staff is very friendly . Overall service has been declining for a few years now however. COVID and staffing shortage has not been kind to anyone, but errors keeping track of the order in which dishes are placed on the cooking table are too common to deal with any longer. This is independent of any “outside” factors and is merely not having a system in place to keep orders straight.
Went last night to do a to-go bowl at a ridiculous $18 pricetag. Picked my ingredients, set my bowl on the counter for cooking at 8:08pm. By 8:47pm it still wasnt done and after asking multiple times where on earth my food was I kept getting told just another minute or two. Completely wasted my time and I was pretty hungry. Ended up getting a refund and leaving, not even so much as an apology, no one cared about customer service. If youre going to charge that much now atleast provide the service comparable to that.
First time here and I’m not impressed. Food was just OKAY but the beef and chicken came over cooked… just a regular bowl too is $15.99 a piece… that’s outrageous for the quality of food. Not to mention the service was trash. Never got a refill nor her coming back to check on us… even ONCE. Just an odd experience and we won’t be returning.
For the first time ever the service and food were not good. We ordered apps and were about half way through our meal before they came. My husband had to remind the server. The taste of the food has gone down, but the prices sure did go up. Wont be back which is sad because we loved it before.
Place was half empty, got seated straight away. Ordered ASAP one medium bowl, waited 30+ min for the food ON VALENTINES DAY! Walked out after it felt it was way too much time.
Went to meet some friends. Sat outside and no one ever came to the table. Friends showed up and went into order food (this was our first time there). “Ed” came out and threw utensils and menu on the table! The waitress came out and asked what we liked and we said forget it, we are not ordering…only because Ed threw these items on the table! So rude! Then Ed comes out and said he has to ask us to leave! Like why.. one: no one ever came out, two: our visit was not over and NO ONE was outside but us! Just rude! Never tried the food but will never go back!
This was off the chain good, wow what an experience my niece told me about this place and that we had to try it so we did and dam was she right. I only wish they had one in Savannah. I cant make the trip to Texas to eat dinner every night or weekly lol. If you have never been to one of these restaurants you have to make the trip and find out what your missing you wont be disappointed thats for sure I guarantee it.
Employees were very nice, but my meal wasnt cooked properly. My beef was too salty. I had the Supreme Fried Rice. Even my family ordered customized bowl they where also disappointed. The Bowl are expensive too. But I was impressed by the waiter he took real good care of us.
Food great. But service was lackadaisical. Took 15 minutes to get asked for a refill because of socializing with off-duty co-workers. We were one of 3 tables for our waitress, and maybe 5 total in restaurant. Come on Danyelle.
Terrible experience. Terrible food. Slop at a high price. $16 a bowl. That is absolutely ridiculous amount of money for that quality of food. The meat was dry, tough and over cooked. My wifes bowl was burnt and tasted burnt. And they have absolutely no idea what a rice noodle is. And by the time we made it through the line and dropped our raw bowls to the cook it took 30 minutes to get our food. We will never be returning to Ganghis Grill in the Woodlands.
If I could give 0 I would. I used to love coming here. Great food and amazing service. This was the worst ever. We came here 5 months ago and it was terrible. Then against my better judgment we came again to see if maybe they just had an off day. Service was worse today that it was 5 months ago! We sat down and our waitress never came to take our drinks etc, we ended up having to flag someone down to take our order. Once we made our order, they forgot one of my kids food and we wait 29 mins for a Mac and cheese. We didn’t get refills on our drink until we were getting check! It’s the most worst experience I have ever had here. We can understand if they are busy but they were NOT busy. We will never be coming back here again.
Great place to eat at! I always love coming here. The staff is always attentive and polite. The food is always amazing, especially when I create it myself!
Alyssa and Elena were really sweet and would come check on our table to see if everything was fine! Great customer service! I did the build my own bowl. My chicken was undercooked but flavors and the rest of the food was overall good.
Amazing service, HUGE SELECTION of choices, ALWAYS clean & restroom smells great, quick seating, they sang Happy Birthday and brought my sister free dessert, and our drinks were always kept full. This Genghis location has always been A+++
Clean appearance when walking in. Waitress was polite and informative. The buffet-style food selection was dirty. Food was in different bins. We waited over an hour to receive our food. The waitress said they had to shut down the grill to clean it which only added to the wait time.I will not recommend this place to anyone. We watched people walk in and leave after 20 minutes of no service.
Ordered a pad Thai and it came without noodles and rice instead....never in my life have I seen pad Thai like this, I don’t think it should be called pad Thai. No peanuts, nothing. This tastes nothing like pad Thai from anywhere else
Not that impressed.Service wasn’t the best, I can’t say it was bad, it was just unenthusiastic and lacking efficiency / enthusiasm. For example, we had to ask for drink refills and how the ordering process worked.I found the food quality to be a bit of let down, firstly the beef was frozen solid in the serving section. And most of trays were running light and looked like they might have been sitting a while. When I did eventually get my dish, the noodles were undercooked, yet the meat was over cooked and chewy (as picturedI was just left with an overwhelming taste of burnt chewy substance.Defiantly cannot understand the ratings, and will not be back.
*Follow me on my Google account for more reviews.Great service especially during the covid19. They will have you seated, give you a paper to write what you will want to eat, once you get in line, you had the paper to the server. They will be the ones to pack your bow and serve you.
From the choice of choosing your own ingredients to there amazing cocktails...I liked the overall package
Great concept with good choice of meats and veggies. Also they offer you a variety of spices and sauces to add to it. Overall a very tasty flavorful food with great serving size for lunch. Highly recommend this place.
Family restaurant, flavor food combinations, friendly staff. Booths need to be fix
This place has gone downhill since my last visit. Prices have gone up and the physical condition of the restaurant has gone down. Spend some money and get the bench seating reupholstered already! Tuesday special was a $5 margarita which was darn good. That’s worth the price. The food is still great but oily from what they must use in the griddle.
My first time came. Good quality of meats vegetables and price too. Our server is very tentantive and kind. You can tweak your little chef on your bowl. Use your unlimited creation or follow the direction. When i watched their cooked ours, I wonder if they did have separate the grill and the utensil for people who have certain allergies ( gluten, seafood, peanut etc). For the safety too. I am pretty sure the new owner set a highly standard for themselves.
