Gelbes Krokodil - Restaurant in Linz, Austria
Best food I had in Linz!
super👍❤️
Ok. Food was good, though i expected better taste for the price - at least regarding drinks(juice was kinda sourand meat(very much cooked). The veggy stuff was better in my opinion.
Vegan/Vegetarian friendly! Nice variety. Affable team.
Nice, cozy and trendy spot to have dinner with friends
A must have experience in Linz. I could add tons of positive aspects to go there. Just awesome!
Simply wonderful. They have approx more than 10 vegetarian options. I ordered the baked potato with beets and cheese. Pretty much cleaned the plate. The ambience was perfect and the service impeccable . A whole main course cost me less than 10€ and big starter with hummus and veggies cost 5€. Definitely worth it at its price point. Can’t wait to go back.
Vegan options are great! Many different things to choose from ❤️
Good food, many vegan options, menu changing daily
Daily changing menu also offering a wide range of creative vegetarian options, thus highly recommendable :)
Everything was very good. The lamb and the fish were extraordinary. Strongly recommend! :)
Absolutely loved it, they offer great variety of different dishes and cater to all tastes, including spicy, vegan and vegetarian
They havent english menu. Also very bad chairs. Hard to seat.
Chic little restaurant - either reserve or get there right when they open to get a seat. Menu changes weekly, really fantastic options. Good portion sizes, very reasonable prices. Waiters are knowledgable about the food as well as the broad wine selection, and you cant go wrong with following their recommendations. I had a vegetarian squash dish and was a bit skeptical about the quality and portion size at first - boy was I wrong! Huge (I was stuffed for hoursand absolutely delicious.
One of the absolute best restaurants in Linz. They have always changing menus with a big selection from meat to fish to vegan dishes. This place usually is pretty packed, so make sure to reserve a table before showing up. In the summer months, they also have a lovely outside area with a couple of tables. Dont forget to check out the cookbook they sell, which always comes handy as a gift for your friends next birthday 😊
Food:Good proportions / Tasty / Nice presentation in the plates / Nice balance / Not too salty or sweet / Homemade / Nice Austrian typique foodAtmosphere - decoration:Cosy / Intimate / Good vibes / Enjoyable / Comfortable / Handmade / a bit hidden which make it kind of a secret place.Service:Attentive to our needs / Reactive / Efficient / Professional / Speaks English / Friendly❗️❗️❗️ No english menu ❗️❗️❗️
Great food, different from restaurants. I was lucky to get a table because this place is usually full, but it’s with good reason. The only issue it’s that the ventilation is poor making the place really hot.
This restaurant was an absolute disappointment - it is hard to tell which was more horrific - the food or the service. The starter - some "cheese variation" - was absolutely underwhelming and overpriced. For three tiny pieces of breaded cheese - which resemble those that you can sometimes get at McDonalds - and some sadly looking salad garnish in the center you are paying 6,50€.For the main dish - a Seitan Schnitzel - you would get two tasteless, disgusting pieces of unseasoned Seitan which were soaked in fat. When telling the waiter that the food was too fatty to be eadible, another employee would show up, arrogantly explaining that the Seitan was one of the best you could get in Austria. He then told me what I consider to be fat are just the juices of Seitan and that its me who simpely does not know how this product usually tastes. The only positive thing about this stay was the beer. If you feel desparate enough to ever visit this place for food strongly consider ordering plenty of alcohol. Maybe this can somehow compensate the rest of a horrible experience...... or do yourself a favor and just pick any other restaurant in Linz, because it could not possibly get any worse.
had a really nice Mussaka with some close friends , a great place to eat with nice atmosphere
Good food, nice people, casual atmosphere. We eat well despite it was quite late. Good place to visit if you arrive late in Linz.
Went there on a Sunday. Waited almost an hour at the Bar for a table. The bartenders were super friendly. Most times it will not be this busy though but it is quite popular. The place looks to be well staffed with servers and kitchen hands.Glad we didnt leave. The food was average priced for a place like this, with average sized potions. You can get some traditional Austrian dishes here if you want or you can get Pasta 😕. Not a formal place at all, no fancy dress needed. Overall, worth a second visit.
Good food on a reasonable price, fast service and it is vegetarian and vegan (!friendly which id rare ro find in Austria.
Best Hotel for Vegan options for Indian specially. You get Sambhar rice.
Most friendly waiter and most delicious food in entire Linz! You will not regret eating here💖💖💖
Quite expensive but, they have a really good attention and super fast at the moment to serve the dishes, less than 10 minutes
very Special Restaurant in the City Center of Linz. you get vegan, vegetarian specialities, with a wiede variety of excellent wines. Very stylish and easy to find. highly recommended in linz! best vegetarian recepies in town, nice service cinema attached, good beer from a brewery nearby, a place for a special and an ordinary good evening. Great atmosphere, friendly stuff and local ingredients. Many vegetarian options too. Tasty food. Recommended!
Perfect. Good ambience but you must book ahead or youll be delayed.
Extremely delicious. Always. Every single time. They regularly change their menus with creative options for both vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters.
Great service! No menus in English (the change the menu weeklyso the waiter translated everything. Also non-vegetarian options for meat eaters. The food arrived after a blink of an eye.The curry pasta was a bit tasteless but the fresh mushrooms dumplings were great.Recommended :)
As a foreigner, this place gave me impression as a restaurant that served great local food. They have various kind of Austrian and European food such as Schnitzel, etc. But they changed their menus quite often.
Good restaurant with great choice of food including good selection of vegetarian options
Overrated restaurant in my opinion. All the dishes we tried were nothing special. I would not recommend it
Interesting restaurant with an innovative concept and frequently changing menu. Unconventional dishes and lots of vegetarian options. Lamentably, food is not really tasty - a classical example of a place having too many menu items at mediocre quality.
Good food and they seem to change their menu regularly to keep things interesting.
Very good healthy food! Definitely recommend it! The deserts are also amazing!
Great seasonal food, lots of vegetarian dishes and something new every week. Friendly staff, nice interior and interesting home made drinks. All this right in the cultural center.
Good beer, even better freshly made food. Vegan dishes available. The colocation with a small movie theatre makes for a lovely decoration.
Overall a good dining experience. The deer and the soup were on the average side while all the vegetarian food was delicious. Service was okay but not overly friendly.
Amazing European fussion kitchen. Veggie friendly. Good service, reasonable prices.
Special food in a nice restaurant. It is possible to have a brunch and go to the cinema.
Great food, good environment, fair price
Stunning athomsphere, very laid back, superb kitchen as well as service. Local cusine, authentic and inexpensive. Never ate better anywhere else in Austria. Highly recommended! Must eat, must have, impress your friends or loved one. You will love it.
Relaxed location to get traditional Austrian cuisine. Get a reservation!
Delicious food, good staff and very reasonable prices. They change the menu all the time depending on the vegetables in season. For a three course meal with drinks we paid 21 Euro (incl. VAT and tips). Highly recommend!
Very delicious - dont forget a reservation!
Good value restaurant with lots of vegetarian en vegan options. Try the wiener schnitzel made of seitan :Not expensive either. Friendly and profesional staff. Recommended!
Very delicious food and a very friendly staff. A must for everyone staying in Linz!
Really nice cuisine, the menu is constantly chaning, and with many vegetarian and vegan options. Always a treat and good value for price.
Its a very nice place in a good location with a great atmosphere. For vegetarians its definitely a place to go - it has always several tasty vegetarian dishes and is really good value for money.
The delicious menu changes frequently with seasonal ingredients. Always a chance to try something new.
