Geertje's Hoeve in Utrecht
Description
Privilege
Nice and cozy place to visit for kids day out!!!
This place definitely has its charm 🤩. It is very suitable for families with childrens 👨👩👧👦, who can play on the farm while the parents can have something good to eat 😋 or have a drink. Some ingredients are even local/homemade 👍🏼.Toilets 🚾 and the possibility to pay by card 💳 are available. The service was pleasant and kind. However, I miss the menu in English 😐.
MoreNot worth .. expensive parking. Its smells inside.. its not a farm but a restaurant with some animals
MoreI used to like it more, but thats personal. It used to be (feedingthe goats, playing in the hey and a bit of horse riding and that was it, kids loved it. Nowadays it gets more like a daycare, paying for all kinds of new entertainment. I think kids are fine with a bit less. :)
MoreNice place especially for kids and family. Delicious pancakes. The environment is a bit dirty. Toilets and dining tables need to be cleaned
MorePerfect place to go with children. Lots of fun surrounded by animals. You can:- feed the small and big goats- you can see rabbits, chickens, peacocks, goats, sheep and ponies.- big space for playing.- two playgrounds- many lopen Fiets, and all kind of children car to move around (free use)The food was delicious, specially the pannekoeken. Most of the food is made with their own products.Tip:Be sure to be on time to get a spot in the parking.
MoreLike the market inside the farm. This is a good place but it is very popular, for that reason very crowded
MoreExcellent farm and restaurant.
Kids had an amazing time at the Farm with the goats. The food is heavenly. Taste it to believe it...
MoreAmazing shop to buy goat’s fresh milk, and fresh cheese!
Love this place. The kids can see animals here. And the foods are very good. Hand made bread, cakes, soup. Very tasty
MoreFood was nice. We had toasted sandwiches. Afterwards we had pancakes...nice and huge pancakes. Loads of families visiting with kids.
MoreLovely place for kids to explore.. they forgot to make my pancakes after a long waiting 🥲
MoreA nice place to visit with kids. My daughter really liked being there feeding the goats she had a good time I went with my family after visiting the kasteel. The sandwich with goat cheese that I bought was also really good reasonably priced and the staff was also friendly and caring overall nice experience
More5 stars for the nice staffs there, -1 stars for the only rude lady we met who was combing the black horse. I do not see the necessity of being rude when a small girl touched the horse gently and asked her "are you going to ride on it". Keep the basic manner.
MoreFun for kids, nice outdoor seating for lunch and a well sorted shop
Nice food and proper prices
Perfect Playground for kids & a nice way to get acquainted with different farm animals. The lunch options are also really great for families, with lots of space to sit outside. Definitely going to come here more often.
MoreSuper busy on the weekends. Paradise for children. Restaurant is average. Animals are cute.
MoreGreat for kids and parents. Can interact with animals. Very nice cafe. Free entry.
MoreAmazing place for family outing. Kids loved the pancakes and farm animals. Totally suggest this place for family retreat
MoreNice goat farm. You can see the animals and have lunch.
Its atmosphere is just excellent but service and the way personel treats the customer is the worst I have ever seen. We visited the place just today and they warned me about the food I brought for my son, 10 months old. Furthermore, I asked about how they can help with a party that I want for my sons birthday, they told me all info is available on web page. Well, I of course visited the website before I picked their place an option but I simply shocked with the response they gave... I never recommend this place. There much better alternatives in surrending.
MoreThis is a perfect place to spend half a day. No doubt, your little children will be more than happy! Highly reccomended.
MorePassed by when returning to Utrecht from Castle De Haar by bike. Pancake is excellent with delicious cheese. Not quite sure whats in here but the lambs are cute and I feel very suitable to bring the whole family to play together!
MoreGreat lunch stop if you are visiting Castle de Haar. The place is beautifully setup and its not only for kids. We liked it as well. For food we had ordered Soup & Sandwiches. Breads served were fresh be it white or brown. Hot Chocolate was good. The highlight of the place was a small farm inside the fences.
MoreThis is my fav kids farm-hands down. Its a primarily a goat farm, so the restaurant also offers a lot of goat products. At the cafe you can also buy marshmallows on sticks to roast over an open fire €0.75, goat/bunny feed €1. Milk bottles for lambs feb-oct? €1, and after 15:00 token for pony rides for €1 (after 12:00 on wknds). Multiple outdoor play areas for kids 2-12yrs. Also offers plenty for older kids and adults too. I prefer going after school. On the wknds, esp on a nice day, plan to get there right when they open! Otherwise it gets crazy busy.
MoreCute for children, great local food and fresh cheese
Family kind of place, with cheerful staffs and good food obviously
This is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon with the kids. Animals, playgarden, pony rides, it has everything. Very close to the city center so you can also bike.
MoreSuch a nice place to go on a weekend! Full of pigs and sheeps. So cute. Lots of kids.
MoreFairytale castle rebuilt in the late 18th and early 19th centuries with Rothschild money. Many interesting stories and artefacts.
MoreIf you are looking for an afternoon on a farm, this is the place to go. Come by bike as the bike lanes till there are also child friendly. In the warmer months you can sit outside and enjoy pancakes, French toast or sandwiches. The kids can roam freely over the farm and explore the goat stable, the hay stack with a slide or the playground. There is even a possibility to buy little bottles to feed the goat kids or pet some of the many animals, like guinea pigs, rabbits or chicken. To finish such a great visit you shouldnt miss the fantastic farm shop. Toys, locally sourced food and traditional Dutch sweets, you can find it all there.
MoreFantastic place especially with little children. They can cycle, feed the goats, jump on straw balles and greet the lazy pigs.
MoreThere is a great atmosphere however also much more commercial than a "regular" petting zoo.
MoreAmazing farm and place for children! It has a great space and big playground areas. The food was really nice! Would definitely go back!
MoreLovely farm with a lot of things to do with kids and delicious food.
We already knew the big sister, but now visited Geertjes Hoeve for the first time. Its a perfect place to spend some time with kids. Goats to pet and feed, pony rides, a playground and so much more. Entrance is free, but you pay for everything else. The beauty of that is that you can make it as expensive or cheap as you like.
MoreEducational and recreational goat-farm. Ideal for young children: lots of playroom, including the occassional pony-back ride and milkfeeding the newborn lambs. Farm-shop with local products, goat-cheese and warm sweaters. Down-to-earth, free and welcoming vibe. Love it!
MoreVery nice place for kids & parents. I found it though too busy to sit outside and opted to go inside even if the weather was nice, at least we could hear each other. They serve very good pancakes.
MoreLove it!! Food is great, fun for kids and parents as well
A really wonderful place to take the family! The whole place is packed with bikes, toy trucks, and scooters for kids to play with. There are playgrounds everywhere and of course a lot of animals! There are goats, pigs, and chickens. The best part is that you can buy a bottle of milk for €1 for your kids to feed the baby goats. The only negative I have is that the food was mediocre. The pancakes were really not that great.Nevertheless. We have come back multiple times for the rest of the experience!
MoreA great place to visit if you like going to a farm with small children. The free entrance wont stop you from entering and children get to interact with the animals. Even feed some if they want
MoreWonderful place to be especially with kids. There are loads of activities to do and delicious pancakes to eat.
MoreEnjoyed the playarea and restaurant frequently with young kids under four. Bottle feed the youngster goats in spring is really fun. We tend to avoid it on weekends with great weather as it gets really busy. On weekdays it is an oasis of calm and fun.
MoreThe kids and elderly love an afternoon at the farm playing and feeding the lambs or having a lunch while enjoying the sun.
MoreGreat for an afternoon with the kids. Can get very busy. On busy says the food ends up being served cold as the waiters are wandering around without a clue as to who ordered what. The food is however fine and affordable.
MoreFriendly staff, but on management instructions I was denied a glass of water with my coffee, and was told to fill my glass in the toilet. Will never come here again, no matter how nice the place and the food might be.
MoreAdorable farm. The restaurant has a good variety of traditional dishes. Many local products are sold which are worth trying. The farm has a friendly ambience and is suited very well to accommodate groups. Children will love this place for sure. The goats are funny for both kids and adults.
MoreNice cost atmosphere and a corner for children to play... Nice food stuff as well mostly made using local produce... Located in an animal farm so that children can have fun watching animals.. Recommended!!
