Geelbek Bird Lookout in Saldanha

항상 국립공원에 들어 가면 플라밍고 보러 가는 곳 입니다. 개펄에 수초가 아름답게 보이는 것은 당연하다. 건너가는 나무도로 너무 좋아요. 새 보러가는 길 언제 어디서든 친근하게 다가왔다. 이른 아침 가봐야 할 것 같아요

Seeing the Flamingos was an amazing experience

Excellent venue to experience the West Coast National Park and see some of the birds that make the park their home.The road is a bit narrow so be careful and courteous as you approach.There are clean toilets and a tourist information building as well as rangers if you require assistance.Good place to explore and in some areas, acceptable for wheelchair users.

Brilliant hide for summer waders. 2 hours after high tide for wader spotting.

Great place to watch flamingos.

We hadn’t planned to go here and stopped on a whim. The hideout is placed well into the lagoon and is a short walk along a wooden boardwalk. You get some good views of the nearby flamingos and lots of other birds. Take along your coffee/drinks and snacks and settle in to enjoy the many local birds.

We had an amazing view of the various bird species. Great information available inside the birdhide on all the species. Nice walk towards the hide and car safely parked

Precious birds in natural wetland

One of the best bird hides in the country to observe waders. Timing of your visit is critical. Be there four to four and a half hours after high tide in Table Bay. As the tide retreats and exposes the mud flats in front of the hide the waders arrive in huge numbers to feed on the exposed mud flats. Also watch for Fish Eagle and Osprey feeding

The walkway to the hide is well maintained and the was clean. Beautiful flamingos of the lake.

We enjoyed the time spent at the Geelbek Bird Lookoutbird. The hide is well build and a great condition. The flock of Greater Flamingoes was a joy to watch as was the small plovers, sandpipers and stilts. It was high tide and we could identify a number of different birds.

Excellent location for birding, better when high tide. Plan clothes to protect from the wind.
