Food tasty. Interior great. Seating not very comfortable. When we ordered extra shiro and potatoes, it came to a whooping extra chf 17 which in my opinion was unreasonable. Anyways, nice place but wont go back again.

Très authentique. Décor vraiment sympa et pseudo-traditionnel.Plats bien faits, de bon goût et bien présentés.Le personnel est très sympathique.

Restaurant incontournable tant pour sa cuisine raffinée et savoureuse que le cadre authentique. Laccueil est chaleureux, la qualité des plats inchangée depuis les 16 années que jy retourne. Je recommande les yeux fermés.

Right up there with my other favorite restaurants in Geneva. They accommodated our very large group, helped us order efficiently, and were very kind and patient. Also obviously very cool ambience.More importantly, the food was fantastic! I was only moderately hungry when I arrived but I still polished off a pretty big portion-- amazing flavors in each dish, and chicken that fell right off the bone. Would absolutely go back, and would recommend to others.

This restaurant is amazing. We had such a nice evening. Delicious food and great atmosphere. We even got to have our own little birthday celebration surprise. Will definitely come back :)

Certainement une des pires expériences eues:NOURRITURE: je lai trouvée pas bonne (épicées bizarrement avec beaucoup de citron et surtout difficile à digérer)SERVICE: Très mauvais (le serveur semblait être constamment dérangé davoir des clients, on a dû demander 4 fois une bouteille deau, il "jetait" notre commande sur la table le visage énervé, ...)Le restaurant en soit il est pas mal, mais il faudrait encore pouvoir bien y manger et être accueilli décemmentDéçu.

Super restau, décoration au top et cuisine savoureuse dans un budget raisonnable. Petit bémol, les plats sont un petit peu chers à mon goût

Cela fait au moins 15 ans que je connais ce restaurant et que j’y retourne très fréquemment. J’y ai mangé avec différentes personnes et tout le monde a été ravis. Le lieu, la nourriture ainsi que le service sont excellent. Je suis tombée amoureuse de la nourriture érythréenne grâce à ce restaurant. Je le conseil vivement.

Une magnifique découverte, un très grand restaurant avec des coins repas conviviaux, le dîner était original et délicieux !! Je recommande cette expérience !!

Cest lun des derniers vestiges des excellents restaurants genevois dantan...30 ans dhistoire, ce nest pas anodin :Excellente qualité et quantité dans un cadre unique qui dépayse vraiment.Certains plats se démarquent des autres restos "erythro-éthiopiens" comme le kitfo (tartareou la pizza aux zegnis de boeuf qui fait partie - sans aucune exagération - des meilleurs mets que jai mangé !Quand on sort de ce lieu, on se sent ravitaillé, repu et de bonne humeur 😉Je recommande mille fois cette adresse !!

Cadre et déco très agréable. La table et sièges sont originaux et confortables. Le service est très sympa. Concernant les plats ce fut Waouuu délicieux et goûteux. Merci au service et la cuisine. Très belle soirée.

Plats goûtus et relevés mais prix beaucoup trop excessifs. Ambiance Céline Dion à fond danses oreilles pendant toute la durée du repas... un fond sonore plus typique aurait été appréciable et aurait davantage collé au reste de lenvironnement du restaurant. Personnel moyennement agréable.

The way the restaurant is decorated is Unique and is worth it to spend some time there. With regards to the food, I must admit that even though Im an Ethiopian food specialities fan, I dont like it there. The wife of the boss in charge of the cooking is not friendly...

Excellent restaurant Érythréen, décoré comme un village africain. Les serveurs étaient très accueillants et sympathiques, et le patron est venu nous serrer la main à la fin du repas et parler avec nous. La nourriture etait excellente !!

I have been going to this place for several years now. I always liked the atmosphere and the food which is very different / exotic. Last time, I was a bit disappointed, staff was extremely slow and not attentive, didnt quite understand neither French nor English, no towels for cleaning the hands upfront were handed out and we needed to wait for everything if not claim it several times. Food was more sparse than usual (quantities are generous normallyand less tasty too. Especially the meat Samossa were unpleasant. They didnt even ask us how we liked it (I would have told). Hopefully this will be back in track soon!

This is truly a hidden gem. You have to visit the place to truly appreciate it. I really enjoy the incredible details in the decoration. And the food portions are super!! Although a bit expensive though...

Good Ethiopian food

Great find. A little piece of Eritrea in Geneva. Great food and unique immersive atmosphere.

We were very pleasantly surprised by our experience at La Gazelle dOr. The waitstaff was warm and welcoming, checking in on us frequently but never making us feel rushed. The sambusas served before the mains arrived and were hot and delicious, fresh out of the kitchen. We loved the fish and the doro wet, which came a little spicy per our request. The other tables were mostly full and the cozy atmosphere was especially nice on a cold, rainy night in Geneva. Try the traditional coffee to end your meal. Im looking forward to going back!

Food is good and the place is interesting, nicely decorated.

Ethiopian food is one of my wife and my favorite foods to eat out. This was our first time at this restaurant and we arrived right as it was opening for the evening. The decor as shown in my pictures and referenced by many reviews was one of the best I have seen in an Ethiopian restaurant. We used a BuyClub voucher which was a great deal that included a half bottle of wine, appetizer and three meat dishes. That said the food was just average. The injera was cold as if coming from the refrigerator and was very dry and easily fell apart. The meat dishes were pretty good but the vegetarian dishes usually our favorite were almost without flavor. I gave it three stars due to the friendly wait staff and ambiance.

Finger food, very good

Wonderful Eritrean restaurant with a lovely and well done up interior as if youre in little huts. It seemed a bit kitschy to me at first, but its actually quite nice and has a practical aspect which is to slightly separate larger dinner or lunch parties. The food is excellent and they have a nice selection of cocktails (love the passion fruitand wines. If you can get the BuyClub deal when it comes around each year, do! Its very worth it.
