Brazilian churrascaria featuring barbecued meat skewers in an opulent setting.
Terrible, I asked for 1 picahna rare and another medium rare and they send me picahna over cooked, I couldnt eat it. Asked for a soup they were offering chicken noodles, they send a red soup. I asked and paid for Yuca, they didnt send it. Last time I order here.
Came here for Valentines date mid February 2020 with my girlfriend. They completely ignored me was right next to alot of waiters asked politely to get service. Ask for two cocktails showed my ID and my girlfriend did too we waited up to 20 minutes for drinks note we didnt get served any meats was there for 30 minutes. Spoke to the manager and she apologized but the restaurant lacked service we get it was busy but waiting for 40 minutes for two drinks and food? Not worth it
The service was well done and so were the meats. The experience was adequate, with a decent salad/sides bar and wonderfully friendly staff. I wont be going back, but there is nothing particularly bad about the place. If I smoked hookah I would absolutely find my way there, and frequently.
Came on Valentines day with a reservation. They sat us down and in 45 minutes, they only came by with 1 meat in our section. The whole section complained and they finally came with some meat. People were fighting over the cheese bread since they never baked enough. Meat quality was hit or miss with some being too chewy to eat. Even after all this, they came with the bill and tried to pull a fast one by charging tax and "OTHER" tax. The waitress couldnt even explain what other tax was so they took it off. Overall horrible experience and im never coming back
Wow. What an experience. We went on valentines for a nice romantic dinner and all we got was chaos. They packed WAY too many tables in and didn’t have enough wait staff. The music was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other. The samba dancers were good and entertaining but everything stopped (service, talking, buffet line, etcwhile they were dancing. During dinner there were angry customers everywhere getting frustrated about not being served and not getting their check so they could leave. The food was good and hot, but the meat didn’t come very regularly and only 5-6 options of meat were brought to the table through the course of the meal (the menu said there were 14). After 15 minutes of trying to flag down a waiter, we finally were able to and only ended up waiting about 45 minutes total to get our check and pay. To top it all off, they charged us a non-cash fee of an extra $4 because we paid with a card (with no heads up). Needless to say, we won’t be going back.
The key here is to go for lunch. Dinner is $45. Lunch is $25, and by pulling up the promotion found on their website, is only $20. The meat selection dont change that much. Dinner gets you access to filet mignon and lamb, but the lunch selection already has four different steaks including top sirloin as well as St. Louis-style ribs. The meats here were quite good, but admittedly it varied. There were a couple of cuts that were tougher than they were supposed to be, there were a couple that were definitely better than anything I expected from a $20 lunch. Note that at least one was served blood red, which I dont mind at all, but may offend others. The biggest surprise for me was at the side buffet, where they had the most delicious caramelized bananas ever. Theres no real dessert selection here, but those alone could more than suffice for me. Service was top-notch as well from the waitresses and the gauchos.
The cuisine is good. the service is efficient and the stuff is well trained. The price is modest. very much recommend. This place is worth trying. They serve big portions for convenient prices. Regularly clean and with great mood. Highly recommended.
No one does meat, like an Argentian restaurant, and if youre a carnivore, this may become your favorite restaurant. Huge selection at the all you can eat, self service buffet. But dont over indulge. Because servers keep coming to your table with large skewers of different cuts of meat. From lamb, to beef, pork and chicken and cut slices right on to your plate, straight from the grill. Full bar. Not cheap. Be prepared.
We love Gauchos villiage, especially to catch up with friends. Their sides bar is huge and difficult to resist, but their amazing rotation of meat is what we come for. Picana is a house favorite! While dinner here is incredible, we often go for lunch as it is less busy and it is quite a bit cheaper. While we miss out on a few dishes (especially the amazing lamb shank!), there is still ample variety and it is all delicious!
I shouldve give 5 stars but the waiter took my dirty plate and never brought me a new one. So 20 mins pass by and decided to ask for the check instead. But meats were delisious and the sangria omg delish
Excellent food and drink selection at the bar. Plus happy hour until close. Great customer service too. Wish it was open for more hours so people could enjoy it all day.
Unique Brazilian Restaurant in Glendale. Very friendly staff and Brazilian decor. We opted for the all you can eat barbecue. One has a marker green and the meats keep on coming and put up the red to stop. Delicious steaks! I loved the grilled pineapple with cinnamon. Samba dancers entertain guests Friday and Saturday evenings.
Place is great. Previous comments dont do them justice. Food is delicious, they have a large variety and all of it quality. Service is attentive to all your needs. Bring your black card, do the all you can eat, its well worth it, this aint a Golden Corral
The best 6 star rated #BrazillianBBQ
Great food, excellent service and loved the Samba dancers!
We got there 10 mins early and the staff let us wait inside because of the heat. Every time we have visited the staff is great and the service is excellent! Most importantly the food is amazing!
We give Gauchos Village Brazilian Steahouse in Glendale, CA 10 stars! We just had our daughters high school graduation party here and couldnt be more pleased. We loved it, family loved it, friends loved it. Hats off to Server Priscilla, Manager Luis and Owner Kevin. Top notch service starting a month before party with my numerous phone calls to Luis, all handled personally by him & with true professionalism. Day of party they allowed and helped us set up decorations, balloons, etc. Went out of their way to please all our guests and each personally congratulated Grad. Servers remembered drinks for each person and those guests only eating chicken. There was another large grad party separate from ours and both parties treated with utmost attention, never once lacking. Owner Kevin gave us individual attention, sitting with us, personally bringing us his special gin, vodka & non-alcoholic mojitos...DELICIOUS! He also went way out of his way to be kind and sweet to my elderly mother during the entire party. Cant say enough about the incredible food and buffet except "bring your appetite." Literally the absolute best service we have ever had at any restaurant. We love you Kevin, Luis & Priscilla!!
O.M.G Becky! This place could not, DID NOT disappoint when I took my mother, and 3 of her friends here for Mothers Day. Based on a viewing recommendation from Food Networks Chowdown Countdown, I was curious to try their food, and after seeing all of the meats they had to offer I couldnt pass this up.The restaurant is situated near the Americana Mall, and is in a small, but asthetically pleasing arcade. Your senses are immediately slapped by the delicious aroma of slabs of meat awaiting your jowls. The meat was expedient in coming to our table, we had no problems with the servers, or other guest, and the other dishes at the buffet were equally as delicious. This is not your typical Brazilian restaurant where youre overwhelmed by the food, the servers TELL you what meats youre being presented with, so there are no surprises. And if you still have room after dinner ask for the pineapple with cinnamon. Holy s+×t!Lunch, date night, dinner, or any occasion make sure you dont miss this wonderful spot. Why are you still reading this, hurry and up and go already!!
Excellent! Meats made on swords over a wood fire served by gauchos in costumeA must do experience.
One of the best Brazilian steak house I ever been.Very good service 7 stars. When he find out we from Australia he bring nice dessert out without any charge.Meat was keep coming ,thank you guys.Amazing experience. Must try.
New location but same great food.I went for a big birthday lunch today and i had not been in years, especially since they moved from Brand. The food continues to be solid. And great service. The staff did a great job with the party and with the food.I was surprised to see kimchi in the buffet... And it was ok (a little too ripe for my likingbut still good. Most of the meats were tasty. I wish their picana was a little more seasoned and cooked consistently.Ill be back for sure!
The food was pretty good, not the best thing ever but good. I went on a Friday evening so there were some belly dancers for a few minutes. It was really pricey though, $50 per person and to me thats not worth it for the food they had.
The place was empty and for good reason. All the meat was varying degrees of overcooked and lacking flavor. WAY overpriced! Its too bad cause its in a cool spot with nice decor, and defect service.
John, one of the meat server, was very attentive and was super friendly like the rest of the staff. His personality and humor made our experience here at gauchos very pleasant.. the meat were cooked medium rare to medium well, just how we like it. Definitely try this place out.. and oh, one last thing.. grilled PINEAPPLE and PICANHA for the win!! 😁🤙😈
We had our surprised party for my husbands 60th birthday last Saturday Feb 9. Just want to say thank you Kevin for being so accommodating, friendly and very kind to us. My daughter and her boyfriend was there early morning for the decoration and they told me that you were one of a kind so good to them. Also to the manager Luis.. thank you so much for understanding on how well we count on our guest as there was misunderstanding on the numbers. Its just that the other waitress whos telling me that people come and go so she miscounted it. Numbered stickers should be put on guest collar or somewhere on their shirts so not to miscount it.. thats only a suggestion.. But overall.. we really had a good surprised party, very well taking cared of, and guest were all saying that the food was so very good. Thanks Kevin and the rest of the crew. Mabuhay!!! (in English "Live").
Amazing food and service. The samba show on Friday and Saturday night is a fun addition to any outing. Lunch is also great here. The bar has great happy hour specials and snacks. They restaurant is always well decorated for every special occasion.
Best cuts of meat that I have ever sampled. Outstanding service by waiter, gaucho, and reception (manager). To round everything out, the entire (Saturdaylunch buffet was very impressive.
Ive been to many different restaurants but this one top them all with great service and friendly staff and the food is amazing with so many different flavors. I will be coming back soon. Keep up the good work 👍
I do not recommend this particular Brazilian steakhouse. I went with three friends for lunch and we were sorely let down by the quality of the meat. It was all VERY dry. The chicken and the pork chops were laughably dry. The tri-tip was well done, and the garlic steak was charred. We asked for the meat list on three separate occasions until they brought it out because they kept bringing the same four meat options to us. Once we finally had the meat list, we asked if they could bring the items we hadnt tried, and they did. I have to say that we were actually very happy with the cinnamon pineapple (but I fully believe they wouldnt have brought it out, had we not seen it on the meat list and asked for it). I also must admit that they had a pretty good salad bar with some decent items (the mushrooms and chicken items were good). I should also mention that they also dont have lamb during lunch. :( They save it for the dinner menu.
Decent food. Great choices of meat and good options of side salads. However, they would bring the meat very sporadically, not even following their green/red system. I didnt get to see all the meats promised on the menu.Lacks good customer service.
Favorite restaurant, the meat choices are great. they offer roasted pineapple which is great to finish up a large meal. Couldnt recommend this place more. celebrated wedding here a few years ago and we were hooked.
I love this place! The outdoor patio is a nice place to get drinks and chat with friends. The bar tender Raine is excellent and the drinks are priced well 😀 Also the food is spot on... I highly recommend the sausage platter as an appetizer!
Amazing Brazilian Food. Great place to enjoy dinner and have fun. The service and the food were superb. The samba dancers display an extraordinaire job. We will definitely be back for more.
This place has improved since moving to the new location on Maryland Avenue. The management is making an effort to provide a comfortable, upscale experience and it shows. The service is fast and friendly and you never have to wait for your next serving of the grilled meat. I am reluctantly taking one star off because the quality of the meat and the salad bar is a notch below Fogo de Chao, which is my reference point for Brazilian steakhouses. But hey, the prices here are also more reasonable than Fogo. So if you are in Glendale and dont feel like driving to DTLA or Beverly Hills to get your Fogo fix, this is your place. PS - the cheese bread and the fried plantains are awesome and are alone worth the visit. :)
This was the worst restaurant. Ill never go there again, even if it is free. The guy in the front was watching us the whole time like a guard. Was not welcoming at all, tip was included so the service was bad, dirty plates till the end no care at all. Salad bar gross, weird combos. Yuk. Uncomfortable atmosphere, they dont even validate parking, so expensive, not worth it!!! Try Fogo de Chao, best place great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. Gauchos between a 1 and 10 is a 1.
Definitely a must try! Meat was cooked to perfection and their endless side dishes thoroughly complimented the course. If you are celebrating something, they also served a delectable chocolate mousse.
Went here for my birthday with some friends and bottom line.... it was awesome. The meats come out hot and tasty and the buffet portion isnt half bad either. The dancers putting on a show are quite entertaining and bring a bit of fun to the whole thing.
Brazilian steakhouse with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The meat is fantastic and definitely not in short supply. It is a good price for all you can eat meat and the sides are good as well although admittedly I do not get much from the sides bar as I save most of my room for delicious meats delivered straight to my table.
First time at this location. We use to go to the old location often. It felt crowded. Its a lot smaller than the old place and its more expensive. I mentioned to staff that they need to do better at placement seating. We where surrounded by two strollers and could not get around them. It was very uncomfortable. The parents saw us struggling trying to get around them and didnt bother moving them out of The way. The salad bar is okay. It use to be better. Overall, it used to be a lot better. The quality of the meat was great though. I do remember the quality of meat at old location was not great before it closed down.
We just celebrated my moms birthday and everyone provided very good feedback on their experience. The service was good. Food was delicious, particularly the salad bar and several meats. Everyone thought the grilled pineapple was delicious. Also the ambiance was very warm and inviting. Will definitely go back for dinner when they have entertainment.
Nice atmosphere. You can enjoy eating outside in a pedestrian street. Salad buffet is well dressed, waiters are very friendly, the meat is delicious. They come often to serve you and we enjoy the wine
It is my honest opinion that this place has earned my 5 star rating. The meat selection is awesome and the side dishes in the bar are equally good. Great selection and the service was outstanding. I do have to say that on the weekends when they are busy, they have to share their attention with many more patrons but either way, the meat keeps on coming. Restaurant is clean and with a nice ambiance.
“Quick Lunch”Great Italian sandwiches are found here. Service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is no frills and busy. They have a wide offering of sandwiches, pastas, meats, cheeses, sauces, olive oils, and drinks. Off-street, metered parking is the only reason I dont come here more often. Sometimes, its hard to find a parking spot. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon,...
Excellent, I have been going to this place since 2011 and Ill tell you they have never let me down, meat is always fresh, all the staff is friendly, highly recommendable if you want to eat meat and have a great time with samba dancers. Wish you the best.
Unbelievable! Zero Star ratings need to be initiated for this purpose. First off my OpenTable reservation was a complete shock to the host staff, even though it was confirmed. I finally got a table right next to a friendly family, no elbow room mind you, and waited to be acknowledged by my server. Obvious lack of communication in the front of house. I was then approached by the "meat carvers", whom could give a damn of any allergies you may have and keep bringing back the same thing you said "no" to 3 previous times. I let my server know that I was not satisfied with the level of service, and that I wanted to close out my check, he insisted on not charging for the meal, but no manager or ever stepped up and asked about my experience. I dont think the management has time to give a "rats ass" about one customer. Thank you, but no thank you. I will never step into that establishment again. Honestly, anyone who has rated this establishment anything over 2 stars works there or is family.
Aside from the delicious buffet and overwhelming amount of meat choices , the atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming. The service is exquisite , and the management is all about making the customer happy. We were there with a large group and accidentally included an additional large tip when the tip was already included in the bill, and the owner drove to our home and brought the tip back in cash after I called and and told them about our mistake. The very same day! We look forward to many more delicious and fun lunches and dinner there, and celebrations with family and friends.
I feel like I didnt get the full experience when I was here because I didnt go to a Dinner and went to lunch instead. I knew I had lesser options and I knew I would see the dancers. Other than that I generally thought that this place was alright. Ive had better experiences and have had more options at Brazilian spots during their dinner time.*Spicy Chicken - This was one of the surprisingly good items considering im here to eat beef and the chicken was good. Nicely spicy and had good flavor. I would say to try everything that passes by just to try.**Beef Ribs - Whatever it is called. I have seen it heard as Picanya in other spots. The fatty and tenderness of this meat is what makes it great, and the flavor it was throws it through the roof. This is my favorite item in all the Brazilian spots.***Grilled Pineapple - This is more of a celebratory mention since I dont eat it, but my GF and friends love it and would be one reason to get. Its pineapple on a spit, whats not to love.I had a great time when I ate lunch here for my birthday. Thank you.
Valentine’s Day. My mom and I had been wandering the streets of Glendale in search of a nice spot for breakfast. No small feat in Glendale. My phone had directed me to several restaurants. Sadly, few were open and those that were; weren’t serving breakfast fair beyond a burrito. We had been walking for about an hour when we happened into a one of those lovely restaurant corridors so commonly found near theaters. Gaucho Village is a Brazilian Steakhouse. It’s really long – there patio is extremely wide and features many small tables that can be joined together along its expanse. Each table along their patio was appointed with fresh potted tulips in vibrant red, upon long white table cloths. THIS is what we had been hoping for!Kevin, one of the owners, spotted us admiring the tables and gave us his time. Though this must have been a busy day for his restaurant, he seemed calm. Kevin offered to assist in every way he could – directions to Fox’s, a complimentary coffee – very rich and delicious (as one should expect from a Brazilian). To make a long story short, Kevin, for reasons I can only thank God for, opened up his restaurant to us and served a fantastic breakfast – Brut Champagne Mimosas, fried eggs over medium, bacon, rosemary potatoes alongside - chicken fillets? Okay so when he offered the egg dish with chicken – well, how could I say no? I was about to receive the Champagne Brunch we had been longing for. I don’t know how to describe the chicken other than to say it was seasoned and very thin. “Good choice Kevin.” It complimented the breakfast beautifully. The other thing that set this meal apart from any other brunch I have ever had, was the service. Kevin runs a tight ship. He’s trained his staff to monitor his patrons closely. The service was outstanding! Something that must give Kevin a strong sense of pride.Apparently Kevin has been mulling over the idea of opening for breakfast. I agree it would be an asset to the community, but the risk of opening when no one knows about you, can be costly.Maybe if we all contributed a small fee to guarantee us a table at his grand opening we could convince Kevin that this is a good idea? I hope so. I hope to become a regular.
This place is really incredible. The food here is delicious and you get full really quick. Its a really nice place and the decor is really stunning. The servers that work here are really nice and you really feel welcomed when you dine here. Personally I like this place to bring the family for a special even and I would recommend it for a business meeting. It has a really quiet ambient and really makes you feels relaxed. Overall it was a new experience and I have to say Ill be going back soon.
So 1+ for the entertainment+1 for the ambienceand +1 for our super sweet waitress!Pero....-1 Salad bar options arent that great for vegetarians. Great side dishes but really why come if your not gonna partake in the meats anyway!!*Side note came because they had a Groupon and my dad was dying to go for an early Fathers Day dinner*-1 for the incredibly rude manager!!Back story- I called at 4:55 (before they even openedand let them know we were gonna be running late for our reservation at 5pm. The hostess told me not to worry they hold the reservation up until an hour after your scheduled time. COOL! So me and the fan make it there at around 5:30pm. We are seated immediately at two tables amongst the 11 of us. (Kind of didnt like that but it was necessary for the guys to come around and serve us)So we are enjoying ourselves, we are a large party and after eating we were wondering where the show was. 6:45 came and left and the girls came on about 7pm. We werent gonna leave without seeing the show!! And some of my party members wanted the ever soo yummy filet mignon and waited for over 45 mins for that sucker to come out again. We were informed around 7:30pm and when we got the bill that we had to go to the bar and figure it out from there because other guests needed our table -_-THAT PISSED ME OFF! I thought it was extremely rude! Especially because I felt certain situations werent our fault. It would of took us 5 mins to figure out the bill with our large party and there was ZERO room at the bar for our large party to figure it out comfortably. It was a $400 bill you didnt rush us to spend the money please dont rush customers to pay. That was foul.Wouldnt come back as a vegetarian nor with a large party -_-
