Gaucho Piccadilly in Ngara
Description
Privilege
Located off of the main street, Gaucho Piccadilly has a nice vibe when you walk up. There is an outdoor seating area with soft lights and a wonderfully detailed dining room where basically everything is made out of leather (chair backs, menu, etc). Steak was good but not amazing (we had one of the marinated cuts). The firecracker chimichurri was flavorful but again not amazing. Sides were okay again. Waiter was great with lots of discussion about Argentinian wine. Overall a very good experience.
MoreVery nice experience overall. Great food and nice wine. They made our experience great overall. Would recommend.
MoreGreat steak, great food, great ambiance. Need a nice spot for dinner? Come here. The table next to us was celebrating a birthday and they seemed to enjoy themselves. Its not a traditional Brazilian Steakhouse with all you can eat meat. Instead, think of this as that but fancy and more like a normal restaurant.Steak was tasty, though maybe a touch over. Dessert was scrumptious. Decaf coffee great. Would come again. Advice on sides: theyre just the right portion, and also well executed. 2 per person is plenty. We werent starving and felt that 4 sides and 2 steaks was just right for 2 people.
MoreThis is a fantastic establishment. The feel and decor makes you feel welcome and special as soon as you step in. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the food is sublime. Great menu choices for food and drink as well as recommendations for what wine to pair with the meats. We decided on a shared meat option to get the different tastes for the steaks and it was delicious. Would highly reccommend this fine establishment.
MoreThe steak was amazing! Definitely one of the best steakhouses in London! Nicely cook to exactly how we wanted it. We ordered Rib Eye and Sirloin steaks. Great customer service too. Big “thank you” to Camillo for looking after us.
MoreHad a lovely night in Gaucho with amazing food and wine. Have never been before but will definitely be back. I feel I do need to mention our server Tracey, she was absolutely fab and really made sure we had a great time 🙂
MoreFrom the time the doors opened until we left, the service and atmosphere was very professional. Now for meat lovers this restaurant is a slice of heaven on a plate. The gentleman Camillo looking after us was really friendly and gave us recommendations that didnt disappoint. The food was something else. Definitely worth a visit!!P.S. Id highly recommend booking a table.
MoreI came here with my friends and I’m so impressed! The customer service was great and the food was amazing. As we were a group of 5 we ordered quite a lot of things and shared it to have space and WOW the food exceeded my expectations. The quality of the food is definitely worth the price.Additional thank you to our waiter Alex for his recommendations and an amazing service🤩
MoreWent to gaucho to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, Great atmosphere, elegant from the moment you walk in.We were greeted by the lovely lady at the reception who was super polite and professional at the same time.. The service from our waitress Sofia was 10/10, she was super friendly & had a really good knowledge of the menu.My boyfriend requested halal steak beforehand which was just amazing.Everything was just perfect from the starters to the dessert.Highly recommend Gaucho!!!❤️
MoreTo choose Gaucho for celebrating my b-day was the right idea!! Everything about the food and drink was perfect. The atmosphere was great and the service top notch. Our waiter Pasquale was very attentive and very passionate about explaining what food he recommended to eat and drinks to compliment the meal. And thanks Gaucho for showing their great hospitality, with a lovely happy birthday chocolate plate for my birthday🥰
MoreOne of the favorite places in London. Always great atmosphere, delicious food and amazing service.I had a family dinner with my parents and it was lovely. We had burrata on toast to start, honestly the best thing Ive EVER tried and then we had the selection of different cuts of beef. For the dessert weve ordered tray baked cookie dough to share🤤🤤🤤 10/10.Special thanks to the reception team and our table host Alexia who have made our visit so special. Alexia looked after us impeccably, providing us with guidance on all the different cuts of meat as well as some great wine recommendations.Definitely would recommend to visit!!! 🥰

MoreYou really can’t go wrong with Gaucho! Their Piccadilly restaurant is centrally located but also away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly staff give a warm welcome and the food is always superb. Being shown the selection of steaks and walked through the cuts really helps when choosing. A great place for a celebratory or fancy meal out.
MoreWe had a wonderful evening here as always. The staff were professional and slick, the wine was fabulous and the steak was gorgeous. We can recommend the truffle Mac and cheese side and we went for the butters instead of steak sauce - perfect! We’d like to say a special thank you to Krzysztof who looked after us all evening and made it a really pleasant experience. Thank you!
MoreMy son is a frequent visitor to Gaucho and loves it, but this was my first time, I cant recommend this restaurant highly enough everything was perfect, the service was first class, and the food was excellent.
MoreLast meal of the vacation, perfect everything. Cant go wrong here, good wines and the steaks were amazing.great service
MoreProper meat. Chimichurri is great. Good wine. Mac & cheese disappointed, they lacked cheese.Waited around 20-25 minutes for the food.Be ready to spend ~£150 per person.
MoreI had an amazing time at this restaurant, Silvia our waitress was amazing, the most natural and funny person that served me since I came in London. I recommend you to go at the restaurant and be served by her. Amazing girl and the place was so welcoming. I enjoyed my anniversary with my boyfriend.
MoreThe restaurant is really well decorated and the atmosphere is pleasant. But, the prices are high for the quality, I would have preferred a slightly higher quality for the price but that doesnt mean it wasnt good! We had a very good meal and the staff is very nice.
MoreFood and service were Amazing! High quality of meat!Christopher was kind and very helpfulDefinitely will come back!
MoreGood meal with the family. Steaks were not rested long enough. This resulted in a lot of run off onto the plates. The mash was way to creamy to the point it had lost consistency. The steaks were tasty and chips and broccoli side was very good. The deserts were good also. I would return. Our server Sofia was a star. Friendly and good at her job.
MoreHad an excellent dinner experience here with my friends. Amazing service from the moment you step through the door.Wonderful atmosphere and delicious, mouthwatering steaks! Very knowledgeable and attentive waiters. The highlight of our evening was Silvia, who took great care of us, a shining example of a hospitality professional! Will definitely be back.
MoreI have to say that It has been a real good time. The food was well prepared as drinks! The vibes were amazing! The service, thanks to the wonderfull Silvia, was just spot on. She made our staying very pleasant, looked after us and helped us with every need!
MoreMy friends and I went for dinner yesterday and everything was amazing. The waitress, Silvia, was outstanding. Her recommendations were very good, so as her service, attentive, funny and kind. The food was delicious and the environment really nice.Thank you for a great evening!
MoreI had a good experience at Gaucho. It’s a great nearby steakhouse if you’re staying in the Piccadilly area. The steak and bread appetizer tasted great. However I wasn’t the biggest fan of their mashed potatoes. The waiter explained each steak they offer and was very welcoming. The steaks are a bit pricey as it came to around £70 for one person. Overall it was a great experience and the restaurant was nicely decorated.
MoreWe had a great time at Gaucho! The staff is extremely warm and friendly. Sophia took great care of us! The steak was brilliant!
MoreFood was quiet good, got what expected apart from the service that was really a let down. I know it’s not Michelin stared place but the way waitress handled the table showed lack of quality and eye to detail.Menius served over the table, no explanation if starters were served hot or cold with came back as cold 😅 dessert spoons placed on dirty table at the end. Few other things like pouring water over the table and so on. Spending 260£ you would expect better. Was a bit disappointed but steaks were nice enough for 3*
MoreDecided to visit Gaucho for Mother’s Day as we had a table booking for 5:15pm, as we was going to watch The Bob Marley musical for 7pm. On arrival I was told that my table was not ready yet and if I would like to take a seat in the bar area (wasn’t impressed), but however went to take a seat. Ordered a cocktail which was full of ice smh.. then after about 20 minutes it took for me to ask if our table was ready in which it was. We was shown to our table upstairs and our order was taken. The 300gm rump steak was lovely but the chips were awful!! I can actually say I think that’s the worst chips I have ever tasted. No one in my family finished them as they also came cold. The lamb shank was ok but lacked taste. The creamy mash was ok but also like warm. The mushroom was awful and also did not get eaten 🤦🏽♀️. We asked for one of our steak to be medium rare and it came well done. Again not impressed. My brother said their food resembled school dinners 😩🤦🏽♀️ And hated the food. Portion sizes were ok but sauces also lacked taste. On a whole the service was very slow and once the food was served to us, the waiter did not come back to see if we needed anything else.I would not visit Gauchos Piccadilly again.
MoreGreat lunch the other day at Gaucho. Who knew they would be so family friendly! I had a marinated steak that came cooked perfect. Tender and juicy. i especially liked the side of spinach with it. My friend had one of the salads on the menu and was not disappointed either. My toddler received lots of attention from the friendly staff and just loved the visit.
MoreFantastic service. Great food. Nice ambiance. Simply one of the best restaurants in London.
MoreWent here for my anniversary and the service and food was amazing. They even brought us this out (photowith our dessert. Will definitely go back for a special occasion again.
MoreLoud thumping music in the background. Took a while for our food to arrived, but it was Jubilee weekend - so understandable. Our waiter was assigned to 4 other tables - so constantly had to get his attention. For the prices they charge, you’d think it would be a server per table. My steak arrived cold. My brother asked for his medium rare - came out rare. They offered to either flash fry or make another. The steak was nothing special. Just an overpriced regular steak. My sides were chips and broccoli - again, nothing special.Their steak knives aren’t great. It felt like I was cutting my steak with a butter knife. Literally felt like an arm workout!Cocktails were ordered - that was probably the best part and that’s it.I wouldn’t call Gaucho Piccadilly fine dining. Won’t be returning at all.
MoreSuch a fantastic brunch! Silvia made the experience even more special. She was so friendly, never kept us waiting and was on hand to help throughout the entirety of the brunch and made my birthday very special. Couldn’t recommend the brunch and Silvia more.
MoreFantastic and original dishes. We were genuinely delighted by each dish.We receive a fantastic service from the manager with the glasses which provided a great welcoming and give us a great table on the terrace, he also gave a great suggestion on food and wine. We will definitely come back more and more. I highly recommend to everyoneThank you for a memorable high-enjoyable evening
MoreBeing a weekend, the other top steak restaurants were fully booked, so I chose this place as a safe bet. This is my first visit in 6 years. Steaks and desserts are as good as before but the chairs are dirty and the atmosphere is like a family restaurant. The quality of service from the waiters is also out of question.
MoreExcellent customer service. Decided to experience (againGaucho Piccadilly as my favourite steak restaurant. Tasty as always and exactly the way I asked. A special mention to Silvia who genuinely looked after me and always making sure I was having a good time, super kind and her attention to detail made me feel very welcome (great restaurant ambassador). Congratulations and keep going !!
MoreThird or fourth visit to this particular Gaucho. Service was very slow and bordering on poor. 15min wait while trying to attract waiters attention for water. It’s saving grace was the steak, which was very good when it arrived. But for a premium brand and a competitive high end price point, the service really should be better. It isn’t cheap and with competitors literally around the corner I won’t be in a hurry to return. It was also quiet and after the lunchtime rush on our visit.
MoreThe best steak is served here fabulous staff and the sticky toffee pudding is divine!! The.penicillin cocktail was so strong my goodness I could not drink it pure alcohol!!
MoreGreat steak, but you if you get the combo, they cook all the steak to the same level, which is disappointing. Staff were attentive.
MoreVisited Gaucho for the first time today using a Buyagift voucher, in my past experience when using vouchers like this the menu is usually sub standard and the entire experience is spent having items upsold to you; At Gaucho this was not the case! The selection of foods available from the menu was fantastic and the drink selection was great and didnt need any hard sell at all.The warm welcome at the entrance, the ambience of the restaurant and service style were all very warm without being overbearing.Furthermore the food was great and I will definitely be returning!
MoreWent in for a quick lunch. Service was great and my waiter kept checking in to make sure everything was okay. The food was lovely and I honestly can’t think of anything that would make me not want to visit again. A few diners were also a bit too loud shouting to get the waiter’s attention. Will definitely see me again soon!
MoreService was very slow on a Wednesday night. The steaks dont come with anything, no side of chips or salad, so make sure you order your sides!Portions were decent sizes.I had my steak medium rare. It wasnt very flavorful but it cut well and had a nice texture
MoreStarters were a bit small on the portion size, didnt feel like they were worth the money. Drinks were solid, main was brilliant. I ordered the 500g TIRA DE ANCHO, with truffle mac & cheese, and chips. They actually had made a mistake with our bill the first time and double-charged us for all our mains. This was because they had dropped a plate with all of them before and had to re-order it in the kitchen which caused the double up on the bill. After a bit of a back and forth (we had received about 4 different bills), it was finally the correct amount and they threw on a 25% discount which I was pretty grateful for.It also happened to be a friends birthday and I was able to order some Champagne in secret, and they brought a little Happy Birthday treat at the end, free of charge.Overall a good experience and Id recommend it for sure though dont think Id become a regular.
MoreAbsolutely amazing place! Was a special dinner which was celebrated in style! The food was nothing short of divine and the cocktails we had so fresh tasting. Never had a bad experience here.
MoreGaúcho Picadilly is located in Swallow street, just few minutes away near Picadilly Circus.Gaúcho offers a good selection of Argentinian dishes. Quality of the dishes is fantastic. The meat was superb. However, when it comes to price, Gaúcho is a bit overpriced. You will pay a lot for the side dishes and desserts. My overall experience was good.
MoreWorst steak I have ever had - seriously. I had high expectations given the location and prices, but myself and my entire group were really let down. My friend ordered a steak to be done medium rare - it was blue. My steak was extremely tough, and the best part of the dish was the egg (at least they can fry an egg right). The macaroni cheese was really dry, and it had no flavour. The woman serving us was really nice and friendly, and perhaps that was the only good thing about Gaucho Piccadilly. I’d just avoid and go elsewhere, you can cook a much better steak for a 1/5 the price at home!
MoreI booked to visit as I had a 25% discount card from Taste of London festival, having purchased some food from the Gaucho stall at that event.I cannot say I was overly impressed with the arrival experience, as I was made to feel a bit like the card was not real - the lady at reception then took it away to confirm with her manager, although I eventually had to question what had happened because we didnt get any confirmation as to whether or not it was ok - the waiter confirmed it had been applied when I followed up before we placed an order for food. The same member of staff that sat us at our table also took an initial order for some tap water as she sat us down, which did not arrive. Our waiter then took an order for tap water which didnt arrive either, until he came back and asked again, and this time it arrived. As for the food - the bread was nice, the steak was tasty but not amazing. The chips were not fresh at all - stale and lukewarm. My chocolate brownie was also stale and barely warm. The other diners in my party reported tasty food - the sticky toffee pudding was good, as far as I could tell. The pumpkin gnocchi was good too. The fillet steak was expensive!Another forgotten request for more tap water that we had to ask for again (thats three failed attempts), and we then paid and left. All in all, I was not that enamoured with the experience - certainly not worth the money in my opinion, even with 25% discount.A final point - improve the signage for the toilets! It is really, really unclear where to go, and led to a mishap in my party as one our guests accidentally entered the male toilets - there is no obvious signage whatsoever.
MoreWe’d booked Gauchos as a treat and were massively disappointed with our experience. The venue is huge and the music was a lot louder than we were expecting. My fillet steak was very nice but my partners £32 sirloin was awful- tough and over cooked. Would have expected it from a pub lunch rather than Gauchos. The sides were nice but again over priced for what they were. The wine we ordered was out of stock so ended up going for the £42 bottle. The wine tasted okay but at the end of the bottle, there was masses of sediment in the bottle - which was pretty unappetising in a bottle of white wine. I pointed this out to the waiter who halved the price of the bottle. A nice gesture but if I’d bought a bottle from the shops and it was like this, I’d have taken it back. Our server was fairly attentive although impossible to hear in the bedlam. He did however disappear for 30 minutes which made paying the bill a challenge. Overall would recommend avoiding as my lasting impression is it was over priced for the experience we received.
MoreYes the steak is good. But paying 5£ for half a mushroom is ridiculous to me… the sauces are really small portions, and my lamb was quite dry… if you’re going for steaks yeah sure it’ll be amazing but pricey, the desserts however were really good! Especially the tarte Tatin and cheesecake.
MoreFood was exquisite. Sirloin steak was juicy.I phoned in for the halal option, just be weary if you do want halal steak sauce the peppercorn sauce has wine. The atmosphere was riotous and buzzing that could be because of the day I went, I went on a day when England were playing Ukraine. The place was dark and peaky if you prefer low light.Overall, I enjoyed the food more than the atmosphere. Between two people we spend around £100, steak was not that overly priced. Dessert was a 9/10. Very very nice!
