14501 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32837, United States, Buenaventura Lakes
Circa-1949 landmark delivering alligator & snake shows, a petting zoo, a water park & a zip line.
What a great place to visit if you are ever in the Central Florida region. And if youre not try to drive to it. First , a percentage of your purchase goes to wildlife. Secondly try to arrive around 11 and ask about feeding the gators; its an additional $10. You will be about a foot away, feeding some of the biggest gators you have ever seen. Its not only gators they have snakes turtles and a bunch of florida native birds flying around. Its not expensive at all when compared to the surrounding parks. And the staff Id super friendly I couldnt believe it. Everyone was nice.
Wow what an amazing day for my family and I. We got so up close and personal with the animals. I got the Great Gator package for us all. Family of 5. It comes with 1 admission ticket, free unlimited train rides,1bag of gator food & a meet and greet with an Alligator. The Photo of the meet and greet cost extra$$. Not to much💰 I thought is was reasonable. We tried Gator nuggets they were really really good. Their staff were all friendly. I would def do this again. 🐊🐊🐍🦜🦩🐊🐊
Would highly recommend. 10/10.They feed gators here, lots to see. Go early, check when shows are playing, they make it better. The acting if corney, but the staff try 😅Also they care & talk about all the animals. The place is kid friendly, but group of adults, not bad place to roam. They have a train ride. There kind of a scavenger hunt while on it. Take pictures.
This is one of the best value for the money attractions in Orlando. Their rates are very low and there is plenty to do and see there. Gatorland is also one of the oldest attractions in Florida and is a must see. There are shows with the gators, a petting zoo, nature trail, train ride, swamp buggy ride, water park for small children and even a zip line. The gators are the stars here and you can even feed them but there is plenty of Florida wildlife to see here and some rare and foreign gators too. There are charaters to see and interact with. Make sure you catch a glimpse of the skunk ape mascot or take a picture with him. They have a big souvenir store as you exit but there are other souvenir options on the property and plenty of great photo opportunities. You can also buy food and drinks there. This is a do not miss attraction. You wont be sorry that you went. If you are a local they offer special pricing several times a year but their prices are very reasonable to begin with. They have recently reopened after hurricane Ian and have added much needed overflow parking and a new entrance. They are also decorated for Halloween and even have a haunted walk through that is included with your admission.
What a wonderful way to spend with the family. There is something special all year long. They have a splash pad. They have baby alligators they have a petting zoo that you can feed the animals. They have shows. Train ride a buggy ride for the more advanced people. This October they did a celebration with trick or treating and hunted house with special treats. Everyone was so kind and amazing. And we have to give a shout out to mildred and her sidekick that worked the swamp buggy and Dracula’s wife.
Posting for June 2022 visit (before hurricane Ian).Made reservations online very easily and received a group rate, email correspondence was timely and offered options from park visit only or with lunch… we just did park entry. Arrival and entry was easy and quick, received maps and attraction schedule. Definitely recommend making prior arrangements.Mixed group of mostly 14/15 year old teens and adults all found lots to do during our 3 hour visit. Animal petting area was clean and could purchase feed for a couple bucks, aviary room to feed birds was carefully monitored so it didn’t get over crowded with humans, also purchases feed sticks for inexpensive cost.Photo opportunities everywhere because animals were close enough to view and their safety as well as human safety allowed.Highlight of our visit was the alligator feeding Jumparoo show which was comedic and lots of viewing areas surrounding for little kids to sit down behind plexiglass or along open railing. Entertaining and good audio set-up.Bonus was the huge gator jaw sculpture photo opp at the front of the park outside the gift shop. Loved our visit and hope after the flooding that Gatorland bounces back even better than when we had our awesome visit!
Gatorland was a relaxing and enjoyable experience from the moment you enter the parking lot which was free. The staff are there to greet you as you buy your tickets and give you directions. There is something here for every age group including a water splash park for kids. The live shows were spectacular and professional. There are lots of opportunities to refresh yourself in the shade with a drink or snack. everything is reasonably priced. The park is clean and the animals are healthy and obviously well taken care of. We were able to tour the entire park in just over three hours and took the train ride. The only thing we didn’t do was the zip line but it sure looked fun. Totally recommend this park for Florida residents and tourists. This place “crocs”!!
This place is amazing!! If you love reptiles or animals in-general, then I highly recommend you stop by if your visiting Orlando. My wife and I did the "Trainer For A Day" package and I was blown away🔥 We got a behind the scenes type of tour that allowed us to do some really cool hands-on activities. Our tour guide, Nick, was awesome!! He gave us some great educational information on the park and the animals. He led us on a great adventure that got us up, close and personal with the Alligators & crocodiles around the park. We got to feed and observe them from a fairly close distance. We also got to hold some amazing reptiles and feed the tortoises they have in the park. The cherry on top, was physically getting on top of an actual alligator and holding his jaw.Overall, everything was an amazing experience and I will definitely be returning again in October. Huge shout-out to Nick and our wonderful photographer, Jasmine🤙
We had a wonderful time at Gatorland! If you go, make a point to watch the shows (freeand feed the alligators at the breeding pond. The food was very reasonable, we purchased 4 bags for $10 and it was perfect for 2 of us. Most of the park is on a cash only system to buy pictures or food, but I was able to use my card for the gator food. We went in August so it was crazy hot but cooling towels around our shoulders made it much better. There is also a great splash pad available, so if you have young ones, take a swimsuit.
We were expecting it to be good but is was great! My 11 yr old son and 14 yr old daughter did not want to leave! Feeding the gators is such an experience and they even loved feeding and getting up close with the budgies! Didn’t get time to do the zip wire or the train but still had a wonderful day. Food was surprisingly good too! We had chicken bites and fries. Gift shops are also decent. Every team Gatorland member was really nice and helpful. Visiting Orlando can be a case of having to cram a lot of things in and often you have to make a decision on what not to do - make sure you don’t drop this place - it’s simply awesome!
This is an excellent family reprieve from the Disney Theme Park burnout. All of my kids, ages 4-14 enjoyed Gatorland. You can feed gators, feed goats, feed flamingoes and fish, which makes the whole experience more interactive and fun. There is also a water play area and a playground too. The prices are reasonable and parking is free! If you go to Gatorland you will definitely see a LOT of gators. Highly recommend, 10/10.
I took my kids to visit this last week, and they asked if we could go back again today. Its much larger than I expected, and plenty of things to see and do to keep you busy for the day. There are still things we didnt have time for, so Im sure a third trip will be coming soon.Well worth the money (Dont forget the Florida resident discount!).If you are going to spend an entire day, get a souvenir cup. Youll save money on drinks in the long run.
Florida discount is very appreciated, my husband and I got in for about $35. Super hot day! The fans found in different areas were nice. An air conditioned done in place would be very profitable. The alligators were beautiful, awesome, intimidating creatures! I loved seeing so many of them all around! Theyre are other animals to see also. Everything was really a lot of fun!
So I was pleasantly surprised with how relaxing and serene this place was- a nice spot to grab a drink with your significant other and just walk around. The scenery was really pretty especially the trail through the "swamp". Saw some adorable turtles on that trail. Got a new perspective on gators too as we watched them being fed- so cute to watch the handlers interact with them! This place is a great alternative to the busy theme parks! Highly recommend!
The Orlando area will always be known as a tourist destination, and some places tend to be way over touristy and cheesy. But not Gatorland!Yeah, theres a lot of tourists, but the place is an excellent educational opportunity for those that dont understand these amazing creatures.I like how the exhibits are also group by the ages of the gators. The shows are worth seeing, but be prepared to get a seat a few minutes early. They do fill quickly.Be prepared for some walking as there are many paths to see and especially take the time to wander out on the boardwalk.Concessions are what they are, and the gift shop is well stocked and staffed with friendly help.
So much fun. I wish I would have planned better. This place has grown!!! We thought it would be an hour or 2 but we were there for at least 3 and hadnt seen everything. The Bird room is amazing. Feeding the gators is a little gross if your squeamish but its cool to say you have done it. And to walk out into the lake ...there are over 100 HUGE gators. It was definitely an experience. I cant wait to go again.
Had a great time, I thought it might be a little cheesy but it was a pretty cool place. The kids really enjoyed the day there. The shows were fun and interesting. We took the swamp buggy ride which was fun. The guide was very entertaining. We rode the train which was also a lot of fun. It was a pretty hot day but it seemed like there were fans everywhere to help keep you cool.
Visiting Florida with teenage daughters and wanted a chance to see the wildlife, mainly gators. Got a lot more than we bargained for. Three of us cost a $100, we stay for about 2 hours but honestly this could be an all day experience. For me, it was worth it. I The experience was unforgettable, staff was personable, and there was something for everyone. If given the chance I would return. Had a wonderful time.
So much fun. Definitely an all day adventure! There are several different shows all throughout the day. There are more than just gators here. One recommendation is to bring some quarters with you to feed the animals throughout your adventure. You can zip line over alligators, take a swamp walk, giant dune buggy/monster truck through the woods, train rides and more. Don’t forget to try the alligator bites at the cafe it’s a must try eat if you’ve never tried it before. 10/10 recommend gator land for everyone the entire family will enjoy.
Had a great time learning about alligators and crocodiles. Lots to see and do here, and reasonably priced. The staff was great and entertaining (a little corny perhapsbut we had a terrific time spending our afternoon here. A definite " must see" when in the Orlando area. And dont forget, they offer FREE PARKING!!
My six-year-old daughter has been wanting to come to Gatorland since seeing an ad on YouTube. She loves all reptiles, especially snakes and alligators. The ticket price is pretty cheap and they often run steep discounts for FL residents, but there are tons of extras that you’ll likely spend money on. At full price, for a family of four, you might spend $100 to get in, but I guarantee you’ll end up spending at least $100-$200 more once inside. They nickel and dime you to death lol.Things to do: The adventure hour gator feeding/photo op they try to sell you at the ticket booth is $12, but isn’t really worth it in my opinion. You’re rushed through the feeding (you’re literally almost jogging back and forth to grab your chunks of meat), so there isn’t time to enjoy it. They also have a photo op which includes straddling an alligator. The photo packages are around $14-$25+ and you’ll probably end up with several different ones. You’ll definitely want to do the swamp buggy ride which is $15 per person. It’s only about a 10 minute ride, but it’s a lot of fun. Near the entrance, you have an opportunity to feed juvenile gators fish with a fishing pole. I think it was around $5. This was fun and you can take your time, but guard your bowl of fish because the birds will steal it! Bags of gator pellet-type food for the adult gators are available for $4. They have an aviary with hundreds of parakeets flying freely! Seed sticks are $2/ea or 3/$5. Absolutely worth it. My husband and daughter loved it and spent half an hour with the birds— twice!Don’t forget to bring your children’s swimsuits and a few towels because they have a nice little splash pad toward the entrance/exit. The little gift shop across from it sells towels and suits if you forget something. Don’t spend too much on souvenirs throughout the park, though, because you exit the park through a massive gift shop and your kids are guaranteed to find several things they can’t live without. We’ll definitely be back soon.
Great place to check out if youre in the area. I enjoyed all the gators, crocs, birds and other animals that were there. I only saw one show, and it wasnt that great. You can easily spend half a day here. Parking is free which is always great. There are a lot of add0on options, however we did not choose to do anything other than what was included in regular admission. I feel that this attraction is a bit overpriced for what it is, but its well worth a visit. There is a nice childrens splash playground so bring bathing suits and a towel.
Gatorland is a relatively small park that is is to navigate.Get your schedule for the shows and accommodate yourself accordingly byarriving early to each show, as seats fill up rather quickly, especially the shaded ones! All shows were amazing, I wouldn’t miss any of them.*The park is easily accessibly by wheelchair.I recommend wearing sneakers, lots of sand and uneven walkways. The restrooms could use and upgrade! The train was three dollars each, tickets were good for the entire day with unlimited rides. The kiddie park is pretty cool and can entertain a child for hours. The petting soon had quit a few very friendly animals and is an adventure that will be excite every age.The Swamp Buggy ride is a bit intense, if you have some physical limitations, I’d pass on this one.Zipline was about 99 minutes-long, you must make reservations prior for both.Dinning in the park was fairly inexpensive and pretty decent food for Park food with portions of surely fill you up.Sunscreen, a hat, and maybe even a spray water bottle will surely make your experience a lot more comfortable.
This place is out of this world amazing and a must see if you are in florida. Me and my family enjoyed it so much. The great customer service/food plus entertainment 👌. We will be revisiting again by far the best park with no stress just enjoyment for all the family dont for get to bring swimming gear for the little one, because they have a small water park there that the kids will love also.
My friend Kelley took me there for the Trainer for a Day tour yesterday, and it was the absolute best! We had so much fun up close with all the dinosaur descendants, learning about them in their enclosures. Our tour guide Nick was extremely knowledgeable and humorous! He made sure to keep us safe and informed every step of the way, topping off the experience with a good jump scare. Our photographer Juan was also very pleasant company, providing extra fun facts, funny stories and AMAZING photos! He captured all of our best moments (even the quick ones), the excitement in our eyes, and sweet pics with our favorite creepy crawly creatures. Thank you so much for a wonderful adventure and good vibes!!
Great experience we had visiting Gatorland for our first time. We enjoyed feeding the alligators 🐊 and watching the Legends of the swamp show. Great way to enjoy a day off the theme park’s. Parking is FREE! And they have a cool gift shop. Will definitely come back when visiting Orlando next time.
I really loved this place. Great experience and the shows are a must see. These folks put a lot into their work and you can tell they are super passionate about what they do. I had a blast!
Today I attended the Trainer for a Day experience and it was amazing! Nick is the best trainer/guide ever! He truly has a passion for what he does and answered all of my questions about the gators. It was great to finally meet an expert willing to share their knowledge. Thank you, Nick!! Best time ever!
What a unique park. Basically a mini zoo focused on gators, crocs, and a few other animals. Hundreds of gators you can be really close to! The train wasnt worth it unless you have children, as its the same stuff you can already see by walking around. Walk the swamp on the left side of the park, its short but a nice walk! And cannot miss the boardwalk that goes through the center, thats the best part! 1 full day is perfect to see the whole park.
Excellent palce to visit with the family. Lots of alligators to see. You can feed them too if you want. Few shows too. Specially the experience to sit on top of a live gator for a picture is unforgettable for kids (and adults too). The show entertainers are very good and funny . You wont get bored.
Awesome place! Enjoyed feeding the gators, and also the shows. Really loved how close you could get up to the birds! Saw the gator wrangling, the up close encounters with the tarantulas and snakes, and also the live feeding shows where the alligators jump for chicken pieces! Free parking and reasonably priced snacks made this a win.
Pretty cool place just hard to navigate when we went. The kids really enjoyed the feeding show they put on. Lots to do and you can hold gators. They loved the splash pad and of course we didnt have towels but they had a little human dryer.
I had a good time. The zip line was well worth the upgrade and the workers were great. The zip line staff was awesome and really make the experience fun. They told facts about the animals and was friendly with a few humorous jokes along the way. Train ride was OK just OK. 1000s of animals. They do have ice. Ream snacks drinks and food inside. Was a cool experience glad I went.
Absolutely love this place! Pricing is incredible for Florida residents! This was the first time we were able to experience the aviary and it was WORTH IT. Three totally different shows, petting zoo, splash pad, zip lining, gift shop, etc.
I have been going here since I was little and now have 3 kids of my own. I haven’t been here for 20 yrs so a lot has been changed and added. They have done a fantastic job. My family and I enjoyed it very much. It took us about 4 hrs to go through everything and also experience most of the shows available. I would suggest getting there very early because there is a line if you go there late. We paid online so our line wasn’t as long as paying tickets at the booth. Also it was cheaper online. Be prepared to walk a lot!!!!! We paid $20 for 20 fish to feed the alligators and also $20 for kids to take a pic with a alligator & snake. We didn’t eat any food but looked pretty normal for a attraction. It was nice that they had a park for kids while we relaxed /ate lunch.
A full day of entertainment. It was fun. The performances were funny and had good participation opportunities. The last attraction was standup only which made it impossible for people in wheelchairs to see. Good variety of show times. Enough gift shop options. The grounds are laid out nicely for walking or folks with wheel chairs. Nice displays of birds. Also a splash pad for kids.
Very cool place! Really fun and amazing! The gators are such fascinating reptiles and it is really fun feeding them. There are so many different things here that I didnt know would be on exhibit here like the birds and cats. I am looking forward to going back again!!!
Super recommended. We loved it. The next trip to this city we will surely repeat to enjoy the Screamin Gator Zip Line and other attractions. I recommend spending at least 4 hours or more to reach each corner. There is a water play area, you can feed the animals and the cost of food for them is very good compared to other places we visit. It is suitable for all ages.
We loved it here! From feeding the gators, to multiple photo opportunities, the splash pad & the multiple shows..it was so much fun! We also did the swamp ride which was pretty cool & reminded me of the good old days of Florida tourism fun.
The is the first time visit with kids. They had a great time. Place has more than just gators. Feeding the gators, very educational, reasonable prices, free parking, train ride for the family which goes around showing all the attractions and swamp. Excellent place to spend a few hours with the kids. Lots of walking and outdoor activities. You can see snakes, parrots, turtles, etc. It was a great very first time here.
It was fun. They have a show where you can see how to handle a gator. At the end of the show, if you have a specific pass you can go over and get a picture with one of the gators. I have pictures I took from a video of one of the handlers. You can see snakes, parrots, turtles, etc. It was a great very first time here. Definitely suggest going there.
This place is incredible! I’ve always been intrigued by a gator-centric attraction, but had never visited one before. I was thoroughly impressed! The staff was super friendly and there was a tremendous amount of animal variety. Literally hundreds of gators, but there’s all kind of birds, reptiles and other mammals. Lyle the Nile crocodile was my personal favorite.
First of all, the pros: You want to see somegators, you will see MANY gators. This wholeplace is full with gators. Not only gators, butalso crocodiles from across the world, withother animals for display. Also, theressnakes, and these snakes are not the onesthat just sleep all day. In fact, these snakeswere some of the most active snakes that Ihave ever seen in my life! Now, the part that Ihate the most, the cons. We will start withthe shows there. The shows are kind offboring, and they might not go the way thattheyre supposed to go like. That is just myopinion. However, 2 of the shows areexcellent that I would recommend watching, these are called "Up Close Encounters" and"Alligators: Legends of the Swamp."Overall, gator land was fun, and with that Igive this a 4 star rating. Thank you.Tips: Do buy the tickets online, you will savea lot of money, and this whole visit will takearound 3-4 hours for most people.
Alligator-focused reserve with other wildlife exhibits, zip lining, water park, and train. Came here on a Monday before we flew out, and we had a fun time. They do have luggage storage in the gift shop, although note that it’s unsecured, so you should still hold onto your valuables. It’s a family-friendly space, and they were doing a half-off deal for Florida residents. They say that if you buy tickets ahead of time online, you get an online discount of $3, but it wasn’t working for us. The lady gave us the discount anyways. There’s free parking. Credit cards are accepted. They do have food for sale (lunch options and ice cream/popcorn/cotton candy). It’s a place where you can spend about 3 hours (assuming you don’t have kids, otherwise, it’ll probably be longer since there’s a water park and petting zoo). They do have shows including one where you can see exotic animals, see them handle alligators, and another where they feed alligators. They were all educational and humorous in delivery. You have the option to feed alligators ($5), go ziplining ($50+), take a photo atop an alligator ($10), and more. We had a lot of fun checking out the exhibits and watching the shows. My favorite part was going into the bird exhibit and feeding the parakeets ($5 for 3 sticks).Overall, it was a fun time and a good thing for tourists or families with kids to go to.
Amazing day with the family! So much to see. Staff was friendly and the food was great! Bees were a little issue around the train station while we waited an hour for a 10-minute train ride, but other than this, it was a perfect day.
highly recommend! Reasonably priced, wasn’t expecting as much as there is, if you take your time there’s plenty to do, we loved the bird room. Only about 7$ for all four of us to hangout and feed the birds and it was super fun! We signed up for the zip line, also super fun and we had great guides (don’t forget to tip)! Much better way to spend your time than waiting in line all day to go on 5 rides. They had great shows with very funny and knowledgeable staff!
Very fun place to see the famous alligators from Florida! Lots and lots of small and big gators and they even do fun shows with them. You also got a large swamp where you can walk through and a tall tower where you can see everything from. Kinda busy but you didnt have to wait for anything.
My family and I had a blast at Gatorland. It’s a playground for adults and of course kids. When you first walk in you see big gators cruising in the water followed by smaller gators sectioned off by age group that you can feed for a few of course, but totally worth the money in my eyes. We enjoyed that so much! There are plenty of gators to see/feed along with other animals that you can pet and feed as well. We paid the extra $10 to get up close and personal with the gators and feed them two big pieces of meat (see first picturethat was totally worth the money as well. We also came back another day to do the night tour. I definitely recommend doing the night tour because you are only armed with a flashlight and get to see the gators in their natural state. Gatorland has so much to offer for people of all age groups and you are guaranteed to have a great time there!
This was a fun thing to do in the evening. It definitely isnt an all day thing we went around 3pm and kids had a great couple hours there. Lots of cool wildlife to see. Can pay to feed some alligators which kids thought was really cool. Got to see the jumping gator show at the end of the day, one show was good enough for kids (10,12lots to see here definitely recommend on an evening in Orlando that you have nothing booked to do!
This place was really not what I expected. I had expected a couple big ponds with some gators. Pleasantly surprised. Well run place and there was more to see than just gators. Caught a few shows, took a walk through the swamp, and saw several critters as extra bonus sightings. We got there around 11 and wandered around until the jumping Gator show at 4:30. Well worth the time and military gets in free. Solid fun for all ages, but if you dont like walking or warm weather....not for you.
