Nice pub setting. Had late lunch with the girls. Staff were friendly and food pretty good, super decent portions

Love turning up and given menus then being told we couldnt order off those ones as kitchen closes 830...no issues until they came back and changed to 8pm. Ok cool, well just order a bottle of wine please...then told we had "a couple minutes" to finish it after we just poured the first glasses as "they were closing at 830". Website says 9pm, can you make your minds up please! Not to mention on license requires some kind of food be served while bar is open. Next time well just go elsewhere.

Good if u arrive at 750pm on a Sunday and order a jug. To be told they close at 8 just as you pour the first glass. Then have all the music shut off and the chairs being stacked and smashed loudly to hint that it’s time to leave. Lucky I bought an extra wine bottle on last call and my Bluetooth speaker. Enjoy the overtime..

Great range of beverages pity Paywave use has a fee attached. We can always pay by cash then they will have very to go to the bank to deposit it. At least the odd $50 note doesnt go in the back pocket anymore.

Straight after White Sunday, the whole experience was amazing! Our starters were fresh and hot. Our mains was delicious, everything melted in our mouths. My brother had the steak which was soft and juicy; totally devine; and I stuck to tradition of having pork ribs. Those crumbled of the bone and it went down well with a jug of raspberry and coke. They must make their own raspberry syrup as it was SOLID.

Garrison has indoor and outdoor areas. I had the vege pasta and enjoyed it with a glass of wine. I didnt have a dessert but they looked good, maybe next time for sure.Staff are friendly. I was catching up with a friend and we ordered from the scanner at the table.

Relax atmosphere good food but the drinks list for beer could be wider.

Honestly, I dont know if its just me or if I need to get with the times, but the waiters wouldnt take orders of food & drinks, you had to do it all on this app via your phone. Took the personal experience out of it for me. Our waitress just dumped our drinks on the table without even asking which one belongs to whom etc. Food was delicious. But the lack of service, and less of a personal touch was what let the place down. Used to be my go to at Sylvia park, I dont think Ill be going again.

Food was okay, nothing to write home about. Bread not cooked properly not once but twice. Toilets was a disgrace, when staff was approached they laughed. Front of house were nice. Real menus would be good for people

We had a large family group of 29 for dinner. We had a fixed menu of entree and main which were generous servings. Staff were excellent and looked after us. Thankyou, we will be back.

Great place to chill with a couple of friends or so, come in and enjoy the sports with a nice selection between food and beverages you will most likely leave here with a smile on your face 😊

I love Garrison Public House. Its always got a great atmosphere and a cool vibe. The staff are always friendly. Plenty of seating area , indoor and outdoor. The food I would rate as okay nothing special about it. They make delicious cocktails. They play some pretty cool music. Great spot to catchup with friends or family. Added bonus is its right next to the mall.

Great service from everyone that waited on our table! Sucha good vibe here. Almost everything was amazing and we ordered alot of food too. Only thing is that we probs wouldnt recommend is the nachos, too watery that my chips were just a soggy mess also did not have enough flavour so it was a let down! The ribs and the chicken fried burger was bomb as, definitely yummmm😍🤤

Food ok but service really bad, I have spent 110 NZD for dinner and when left over food I want to take away and they dont have take away container or any container at all. not good as I have spent a lot of money.waiter just ignore us and rude!!I dont recommend this place.

The ribs was so tasty and tender. We love the roasted cauliflower and our toddler liked the grilled chicken.We will be back to try the rest of the food. 😀

They hosted my 30th over the weekend. The only downside was they had to close early as they were short staffed (we appreciate that this was out of their control). They kept me well informed and were very lovely & apologetic.Apart from that i’m overwhelmed with how perfect it was for my event! The food & drinks came out super quick and MAN this place does some good cocktails & pizzas! Highly recommend. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Loved every minute, very thankful!

Such a great space and vibe!The atmosphere was alive and the music was pumping, Great music!The open kitchen and spacious interior had a place for everyone which is awesome.The food was delish! We went straight for mains, both ordering the mouthwatering Roast pork belly dinner with added mash and gravy. The pork was absolutely Devine with the BEST pork crackling...Good job Chefs!And of course I ordered 2 Mocktails for myself hahaha...Yummy!

Service was alright. Wait time was long 30-45mins and DONT get the steak & chips- no flavor cooked well but honestly tasted burnt more then anything else. Partner said ribs was good just some dry bits. For moneys worth not worth it.

Went last night with my husband - food was yummy however we were told initially an hours wait but they got to us in 40 mins which was amazing considering how busy it was and we know hospitality is struggling. Would have been 5 stars however our waitress last night was very poor. She was slow, uninterested, not one smile … always makes me uncomfortable to have someone with that energy serving us. But rest of staff were great and drinks good so good :)

Booked a table for the Super Rugby final tonight. Great atmosphere, yummy menu, neat spot, lovely staff. Blues didnt quite make it. Good night though

Sorry for the low rating but I figured it will help improve your business.We had the 10 hour slow cooked pork ribs...(cant have been)Extremely tuff meat sad to say,,, a battle to rip the meat from the bone and cartilage with 2 forks. Worst ribs weve ever had.Im a Big fan of ribs, and $40 to serve them up like that was a very disappointing experience in itself.We also had the Garrisons Works Pizza... The base was stale and smothered with sauce to compensate the dryness of the base and the Chorizo was over cooked (hard / charred).The Chips were Perfect thank God 👍.And the Mixed Berries Smoothie was perfect too.The staff are friendly, but only visited our table (onceto bring our drinks and food. There was no other communication with us in the 50 minutes we were there. No one came to check if we needed anymore drinks, water, or how are food was. It wasnt busy.I went to pay the bill and was asked how was your meal... I gave the guy the above feedback and he replied that he would let the Chefs know.Hopefully you can improve in these areas.Its a nice establishment, and I feel the food should reflect the same.Kind Regards,Leo and Samantha.

Hi, Saturday night 11 June friends and i visited your bar. We were greeted by a fabulous and welcoming female security guard which was a great first impression. I am a local and hosted friends and decided to bring them to the Local bar. Being served by a barman with a light beard who seemed to have a tone of a bar manager, the 3 of us ordered 3 drinks each as we do to save the bar trips back and forth. The barman was RUDE and disrespectful. He showed a lack of any basic customer service or a minimum of manners. As I was paying for the order, I Ordered 3 x gin mix and 6 vodka mix to which he responded "Im not giving you 6 vodkas" with no eye contact or explanation from him. Confused i asked "what can we order?" Which he repeated "im not giving you 6 vodkas" I then had to clarify to him that we were having 3 drinks each. At this point he approved the order and i Paid the $100 for the drinks. Asking for ice and reminding him of the Lime and asking for straws were all felt like we were being a hasstle to him which he made very clear in his irritated tone. Was a terrible experience and i dont believe he is doing your business any favours. I doubt we will return but i thought this would be valuable feedback for improving your customer experience and staff training.Regards

Worst experience ever! Customer service was shocking. I was charged for a platter that had half the things that I had requested to have off the menu. Waiter then told me that manager had said that if we wanted a new platter we would have to pay for it. Spoke to the manager and he also wasn’t of any help. We come here so often but will definitely not be returning! So disappointed!!!

Had such a great night. The food was really good and I erall experience was good fun. Drinks can be a bit pricey but so be it. Lovely local.

Far more expensive than other Joylab pubs ($50 for a jug!!)Pizzas are very small for $25+As you can see in my attached photo they don’t have great quality control either :/Will not be back

Had a beautiful dinner with our youngest. My daughter and I had the steak which was cooked to perfection- thanks chef and my husband had the fish n chips, and to top it off dessert. Thanks to our lovely waitress who had a smile for everyone and with the place being so full she even stopped on our way out to say goodnight now that makes all the difference. We’ve been here a few times now and the staff have been so obliging- thank you for giving our long weekend a great start.

Love their pizza and ribs! Taste so good. And even better when matching a jug of beer. A very good place for hanging out with friends.

The platter was great, lots of variety and stacked. The 10hour 1kg ribs were good, plenty of meat and sauce. Only challenge was the medium rear scotch steak, came out medium well in colour, however the taste was perfect.

Great place to go for family dinner & friends catch ups. The pork ribs is the bomb/delicious. And great customer service.

Garrisons is always easy. Easy place to get to and there is plenty of parking. The atmosphere is fun and staff are friendly and efficient. This place is great for large and small gatherings and the outside seating has heaters for the colder evenings. Food and drinks are good too. Pizzas are yummy. This place is a little more on the pricy side..

Really looking forward to a meal out after a long day, and Garrisons was okay, but nothing really that good.$187.80 for 3 x entrees, 4 x mains and 5 x drinks.Tables are sticky, doesnt appear to be any order to the wait staff areas or roles (nothing to define the staff from the patrons). The nacho chips didnt appear to be warmed before toppings applied, as they were cold by the time they got to the table, most of the chips underneath so about half were soggy. Fish was good but chips were over cooked.Not sure about going back, maybe to meet friends for a drink (as its really handybut not dinner.

Good atmosphere for a drink with music and glommy red lights. Friendly customer service too. Good place to catchup with friends for a nice weekend. Hoping to spend more time on next visit

Great place for a get together. Booked via email, got a confirmation call then an email. I also got a followup email and call. Staff were great to deal with, platters were nice and generous for our group of 15. Thanks Garrison, you guys were great!

Like the venue, has a great atmosphere. Food is okay, not amazing. The apple waffle had less apple than what I was expecting but the waffle itself was great.

Been here three times, staff are friendly and helpful, food are great, good portions and tastes wonderful. I had the Mocktail (Virgin Passion Caprioskaits refreshing but just too much ice considering the size, rest was great.

Been here for First table.Be ready to have your ID (my friend didnt have her passport and they had to seat us inside).Food wont surprise but also doesnt fully disappoint. Cheesy garlic bread was nice. Onion rings were a bit bland.Got a sirloin steak, well cooked. Loud ambiance but very nice and fast staff.

Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really decent food. We had our team Christmas party here and everything was so well organized. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Surely recommend this place.

International selection of the dishes. Very yummy with open kitchen to see the preparation. There was a live music when visited. Half is a sport bar and half a restaurant. Professional service.

Came here for lunch, special at $15 for item. The staff guided us to the table, gave us the menu, asked whether its tap water we want or sparkling water. I said tap water its just fine, then she never came back.............Ordered from another staff, and it took about 30 mins before foods were delivered to our table.Food is nice, but the Seafood Chowder is way too salty.Not sure I would recommend this restaurant to the others, maybe good to go once in a while.

It’s been a while since I last visited Garrisons and following a shopping excursion and low fuss decision between 3 on where to dine and wine, it was an easy choice.I hadn’t seen the renovations since their rebranding late last year and the dining section looks fantastic and stylish, not to mention light. Our waiter was very attentive and efficient and we ordered 2 lots of the Chicken Supreme with Asian greens served with sweet soy and a beef burger and fries.The food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner even we were well watered ales and Pinot noir. Highly recommended!

The staff there are super attentive and accommodating, especially since I went with a large group of 10+ people. Atmosphere was great, however the food was below average. I dont think any one in my group rated their meal above a 5. Lots of potential but their bland, under seasoned food lacked any punch. I always order ribs when its on the menu and this was the first time Ive ever been disappointed. Super dry, under seasoned and their sauce tasted like plain BBQ sauce from a bottle. On the plus side, whatever sauce they offered with the fish and chips was actually pretty tasty! Definitely go for a drink but not if you want a meal.

Service here is always nice and a great selection of drinks. Sadely over the last 2-3 years food has only gone down hill. Its much more pub grub now than a house that serves restaurant quality food. But if your looking for a snack and a bite to eat while at slyvia this place is perfect. Nice out door area too. Bring the love back into the food and this place will be tops again, as this is heavily shown in your other reviews now too.

$$$ , plater is very good cost around $70 plus a bottle of wine total $$$. $160 you will have lovely afternoon with your mate, one of best place in Mt Wellington for drinking, eating restaurant
