Gardens on Spring Creek in Fort Collins
Description
So much fun all year round! Story times, beautiful gardens, amazing events. And of course the butterfly house!!! What a great resource here in FoCo! If youre a member here you get into botanic gardens around the country too (including Denverwhat a steal!!
MoreBeautiful botanic gardens in all seasons. We visited as they were setting up pumpkins for their fall event. This is a very family friendly location. In addition to accessible concrete paths and beautiful plants there is an open section of lawn where you can set your kids out to run. The butterfly pavilion is small but quite pretty. Lots of butterflies and beautiful indoor plants.
MoreWe had great time! Will go again.
Wonderful, chill place to walk around and take in nature. The butterfly enclosure is amazing!
MoreVery beautiful place, the staff are very pleasant and very helpful. They also have amazing pumpkin displays this time of year.
MoreOne of the best botanical gardens I have been to. Perfect size. Fantastic selection of plants.
MoreBeautiful gardens and an amazing butterfly sanctuary. A peaceful afternoon date with a cute little gift shop !
MoreBeautiful place to see music or just check out. The gardens Are beautiful and marked well. We saw Marty Stuart. Fantastic
MoreA great place to spend some time enjoying some amazing colors
I went here with my family and another family. The butterfly garden was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed walking the botanical gardens, as well as the kid area. The water area, with the pails and the hand powered water spigot were our favorite part this time because of the heat of the day.
MoreIncredible gardens and venue. Close to the spring creek trail and a pond that is home to ducks, geese, loons and other interesting waterfowl.
MoreBeautiful concert venue with a very good sound system. However, the entrance into the sold-out Three Dog Night concert was poorly managed due in part to their nitpicking venue rules. Also, the advertised 2 hour concert only ran for 90 minutes.
MoreWe went to see 3 Dog Night. My first time there. It was a good place to see them play. We had an hour delay due to weather, because of light rain with distant thunder. It was not crowded.
MoreBeautiful! Nice place to wander around and take pictures or paint. They now have a butterfly pavilion too.
MoreA beautiful and well-maintained collection of gardens. The holiday lighting events are really great and its a wonderful place to see a concert.
More1000000% recommend going to Gardens on Spring Creek!!! Inside and out, from butterflies to amazing plants and views, this is a must see. Amazing!
MoreA small botanic garden but enjoyable. Various themed gardens.A butterfly garden, too. But your time inside is limited although you can return.Maybe a bit more thought to shade for the benches?
MoreWow! Never expected the Gardens on Spring Creek to be so delightful, complex and on a par with some of the countrys most high-end botanic gardens. The planning and whimsy that went into the design and construction is top notch. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The butterfly pavilion outshines several others we have experienced in other parts of the country and is home to butterflies collected from all over the country. And the plants inside the pavilion are as exotic as many of the butterflies, such as the amazing Bugle Plant which grows giant bugle-shaped flowers that grow upside down (see my pic). In July we go back with friends to attend one of many outdoor summer music concerts. The gift shop has many affordably priced unique garden-themed items made of glass, metal, and other media. 12 marvelous acres of wonderous sites and experiences including a rock garden and of course, Spring Creek which runs through the center of the garden. Bring the family. Bring the kids. Enjoy this gem.
MoreThis place was breathtaking! We loved seeing all the different plants and the butterfly room was serene.
MoreWe enjoyed our time here, but for $50, not sure it was worth it. The gardens are nice, but I was expecting more flowers. Theres a pathway that circumnavigates the gardens. The butterfly house was the best part. Interesting to see exotic varieties of butterflies.
MoreAn end of winter day spent mostly in the butterfly pavilion because the garden side has not come to life from its winter slumber. Just the experience of the pavilion was worth the price of admission in my opinion and was an experience I will never forget. It is beautiful to see all the butterflies flying about and learning about the blue dots under their wings. Definitely will return to see the garden in full bloom.
MoreWe had a wonderful time walking through the garden of lights for Christmas! However from what I had read it was supposed to be a "suggested donation of $5/adult". We got there and we HAD to buy tickets at $10/ adult! I understand it was Christmas eve and they had to pay their workers but Im lucky was son was able to cover the admission for our family or I would have felt so bad and been so embarrassed because I wouldnt have been able to pay the $80 to get us in (it was my invite and idea to go). I was prepared to do the 5 but they should not say donation based admission if it really isnt a donation as it isnt optional it is an admission.
MoreThe lights at Gardens on Spring Creek were beautiful. We had a great time waking the paths and enjoying all the light "sculptures". We took pictures with Santa and Mrs Claus and they were very friendly and patient with my little preschooler who wasnt sure what to think of Santa. Also, the cocoa for sale was a nice touch. It was wonderful to walk around with hot cocoa to keep our hands warm and the pricing was affordable. It was such a wonderful experience we all had such a good time and my little preschooler kept getting to go back for days afterwards. So much fun. The price for admission was a little high, but we really enjoyed the park so it made it worth it. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
MoreBeautiful lighting and decor!!! Santa and Mrs Claus were a hit beautiful set-up for photos and Santa was a great sport (classic photo of baby 1st Santa)
MoreSee the lights! - The Gardens of Spring Creek is holding a garden of light display Friday, December 10 - Sunday, December 26, 2021, 5 - 9 p.m. each evening. This is an amazing activity for you, your date, or even a fun family night out. Theres also a Cafe on site open during these hours. Cant recommend enough.
MoreWe go here a few times a year in the spring and fall to see the beautiful plants and well manicured gardens, but this time we went for the Christmas lights and they are masterfully set up. Lots of lights, fun and interesting displays, and friendly staff.
MoreWow, they did such a great job. So many artistic and creative displays! Im going back to see it again in the daylight. Great music selection playing throughout added to festivity. Childrens activities and attractions were well thought out. Food trucks were a plus. New patio table area on north side fulfills a much needed seating location.
MoreWe had a lovely time at the Gardens on Spring Creek. So nice to be able to get out and do something and still stay socially distanced. The butterfly pavilion is bursting with life an color! With timed entries due to covid It felt like a private tour. The outdoor gardens are beautiful and in full bloom, there are spread out picnic tables throughout the grounds that you can pack a lunch and eat amongst the flowers :-)
MoreWhat a beautiful little garden, with tons of treats inside, and some of the most passionate, helpful and smiling volunteer staff I have ever come across! The Butterfly garden is small but stunning! We had an amazing time enjoying all the flowers, fruits, vegetables, sculptures spread all across the gardens.
MoreIt was a very beautiful place and people are very friendly there we got to see a red tail hawk there i got some good pictures of him there and it was a honor to be able to get the pictures of him
MoreBeautiful gardens. Lots of annuals still blooming. Nice area of cacti. Small, but very nice butterfly Pavillion.
MoreIts a hidden jewel! Such a great experience. I definitely recommend
The gardens as a whole are a bit of a mixed bag. They grange from the neglected Turf Demonstration to the renowned Undaunted Garden. The Butterfly Pavilion is one of the best I have been to.
MoreDidnt walk the gardens but only wanted to see the butterflies. Not as big as the butterfly pavilion but still a near experience. You get 15 minutes to go thru the butterfly area and a guide to help you find the different kinds! The guide was very nice and helpful! Would be great for just adults or with kids too. Watch where u walk so you dont step on any.
MoreVery beautiful place! The grounds are neat and tighty! People that work there take great pride in what they do!
MoreVisited for Mothers day with my kids and it was beautiful. Cant wait to see it later in the season. The butterfly pavillion is gorgeous too!
MoreVery nice staff! Wasnt much outside yet, but the butterfly sanctuary was so cool! My girl and I had a great time!
MoreWe have made frequent trips to the Gardens on Spring Creek in 2020 as it is a great place to enjoy the displays while easily maintaining distance from other patrons. The recent expansions and addition of the butterfly exhibit have given us opportunities for the whole family to find something they enjoy each trip. A membership here goes a long way and it is an ideal location to meet someone outdoors and catch up while getting some exercise.
MoreLoved the lights!! different and unique. they had garden food lights that was super impressive shaped as vines grapes carrots berries peppers sunflower seeds
MoreWe went for the Garden of Lights. SOOOO worth the $10 per person. We got the last time slot and were enjoying it so much they had to kick us out so they could close! Highly recommend going. Its beautiful and I was just amazed thinking about how much work goes into making it possible.
MoreGarden of lights during the winter is a great covid activity. The $10 entrance fee is worth it! We really enjoyed walking around and looking at all the different lights. There is so much more than what I posted in the pictures. You can spend up to 45 minutes in the park. There is some benches to sit on. It wasnt that crowded, everyone was wearing masks and being respectful of 6 feet. 🎄 Happy holidays
MoreThe outdoor gardens by themselves are great (particularly the recent additions like the Undaunted Garden), but the butterfly house adds a whole other level!
MoreThe remodel has turned out great!! I love waking through the butterfly house. Membership is very reasonable and gets you into the Denver Botanical Garden along with many many others.
MoreGreat little garden and 300 butterflies in a small pavilion. Wonderful for birthdays or just a stroll. My kids loved it, even in winter. They also have a really cool Christmas light show each year.
MoreThis is an interesting place with great activities for all ages. Our daughter was married here and we have returned often to enjoy the area with our grandchildren. The Christmas lights were amazing patterned after plants and insects.
MoreWe went for the "Garden of Lights" and it was beautiful. Our four year old had so much fun. A great family activity during the holidays. Just be sure to bundle up!
MoreWonderful, fun, kid friendly, only thing missing was the hot cocoa! The line was not long for Santa at 6 PM.Very clever lights. Not alot of lights compared to Botanic Gardens but worth not having to drive to Denver!
MoreBeautiful landscaping with different areas and styles to enjoy. Theyre working on a renovation of the welcome center that should be completed in Fall of 2019. But there is still plenty of space to walk around and enjoy it all. A great way to spend an hour or so, though theres not any shade so go early during the Summer.
MoreSpring Creek is beautiful this time of year with all of the fall colors showing in full splendor! Winter critters can be found along the banks
MoreFor a young garden it has some great gardens already established. The childrens garden had many interactive elements and it looked like kids really enjoyed their time playing and exploring.
