Gardens Restaurant, Cafè, Art Gallery - Restaurant in Kyenjojo, Uganda
Located in fort portal on Kampala roadIt has an ample parking, security is tight in the parking yard, services like car washing are provided since there is a washing bay alongside the parking yard.Skilled personnels are employed to ensure quality services at the washing bay.To talk about space for conferences they have a big conference Hall, nice looking, address system in place to aid in communication. They also have a boutique where all sorts of clothes can be foundFood staff of all kinds are available within the restaurant where customers are worked upon within a short period of time. The environment is conducive for not only old people but also children as there are shades provided by natural trees and umbrellas where necessary. The natural trees allow circulation of fresh air within the place additionally a stream passes through the court yard this makes the place cold when in hot.
Nice African dishes and in a natural ambiance
It was a very pleasant dining experience from top to bottom. All food is sourced locally and is organic. The local couzine of "omukaro nobutuzi"was phenomenal. The staff was friendly. Make yourself a favor and eat here when in Fort Portal City
If you are not weary of heavy traffic, this is your number one go to restaurant in Fortportal. The food is good, two parking grounds, a decent number of waiting staff so expect no delays.
All meals were good. I tried Mukato and Millet, something that was not good but only because it was a local delicacy. If you are not from there just pass it up.
Staff was nice, dishes were expensove but probably worth it for the quality.
Best food, best service best ambiance
It is a very good restaurant
Went fir supper with the family and found the restaurant service great and the food as per the order and quality for money.Well done.😊😊😊😊
The coffee was very bad and extremely expensive, and they don’t tell you the price until you pay.
Great coffee and nice samosas...The service was good although not as proactive as I was expecting. The ambiance is excellent for hanging out over a coffee or an alcoholic beverage...
Buffet lunch average but friendly service
Good accessibility and a wode range of dishes
Great place with nice food, especially the chicken pizza 🍕🍕, the prices though, is good for tourists. But its worth the penny.
Always a lovely place to stop on my way to Kasese. They have lovely Western as well as local dishes
Limited parking space. Lots of noise in the environment given its located in the center of town. Great nice buffet though some bit of slow service
Cool beautiful place to be in Fort Portal Tourism City
A well set out, accessible with a good view
Very good atmosphere with fresh air from the trees around. The food was marvellous
Great location, great customer care. The local food is good too. Its quite expensive though. Prices are similar to kampala high end restaurants
Nice food though the ambiance is lacking, a few flies left and right, rude staff and they are racist. They prefer white people to locals
Great service and good food. I recommend it for family dining 🍽
The place is accessible and is really close to town. They however have few menu items and if you are in a hurry and just looking for a quick meal, it may not be so ideal. They have good local dishes.Cost - 6/10Customer care - 6/10
Was great. Good food and drinks plus friendly and jolly people.
The only place that I have ever had a delicious meal in Fort Portal 😋😋
Consistently good food and a reliable option for locals and tourists alike. The lunch buffet is famous. It offers value for money with a good range of dishes. The Gardens also makes very good cappuccino, serves alcohol and has an extensive à la carte menu of international and local food options. There are plenty of staff but service levels lack the attention to small details that would give the restaurant five stars. The craft shop is good with a decent selection of the quality items on sale.
The place was full of nature representing fortportal tourism city and the service was of a great level
Its a corporate place, with clear ambiance tailored for class at an affordable wallet.
Good customer care and I really love ld the food.
The food is very tasty, local as well as western selection is broad and well prepared.
Great customer care at the hotel, great food
Felt like the stuff were unfriendly, oh and I probably misunderstood what they mean by the word Buffet. After getting an impression of being in a wrong place when I went back for seconds 🙈 Tip: serve a full plate on your first go.
I love the care and hostability at Gardens Restaurant its best idea for your breakfast, lunch break with comfortable rest rooms
Loved the pizza but I dont know why they dont offer free disposables for drinks. On top of paying for the drink, you have to pay to take it away.
Nice place for dining out. All local and foreign dishes are served with excellent customer care. The only downside is its location next to the dusty stretch of fort Portal.. Kampala road which is under construction. The place is also open and noisy sometimes
At the entrance of Fortportal city centre the restaurant welcomes you with serene cool gardens. Hot and cold drinksFood is served on record timeBoth local and fast foods available.Coffee on the go is available tooService is good and fast.Ample and secure parking space available
Gardens restaurant is one of the oldest restaurant in Fortportal. Its near Mpanga Market. The place is cozy and well spacious. They offer great meals with great customer services. They have a wide parking space, washing bay, gardens for events and parts etc. When you are in fortportal this should be your first stop spot.
A bit pricey for local food, but the food was quite good - especially the beef in gnut sauce. In my opinion, a buffet for 20K with the most quintessential Ugandan foods is a great chance for visitors to get a taste of the various dishes that make up the local cuisine.
On the last two visits service from the kitchen was very poor. On the first occasion, having ordered fish for 2 people, after 20 minutes we were told there was only one portion left. This delay the meal whilst an alternative meal was ordered and prepared for the second person. On the second visit I ordered a mega chicken sandwich and after 45 minutes and no it didnt arrive, I walked out.
Ordered a pineapple ginger smoothie, what I got was a glass of white banana flavoured shake with hardly any ginger taste. I questioned why it wasnt yellow, the waitress replied pineapples are not yellow! 🙄🤨
Great open verandah for outdoor dining. Watch the comings and goings of Fort Portal. Lots of activity! Clean, efficient, good menu, buffet lunch very popular- (with local cuisine).
Spacious environment. Welcoming staff. Nice food though over priced. My order took too long to be ready though the manager apologized, though. Acceptable place to visit
Its cosy and calm. A good place to sit, eat, chat and relax. They have good food both buffet which is served from 12noon and also other single meals like pizzas, burgers, curries etc. They do have good juices and a range of drinks. The juice in the photo was a blend of passion fruit and watermelon. If you are ever in Fort portal do check it out. Its a perfect stop.
This is a place to be in Fort portal . Buffet is nice and service is very good
Great place for tourists to stop in Fort Portal ahead of the Kibale National Park Chimp trek. Good restaurant, although not if you require vegan food but that is to be expected in the whole of Uganda. So be prepared for that and organise accordingly. Clean toilets, generally good service if not busy.
Consistent.... Defo coffee and great for people wathcing...also very good in power cuts to work as they have a generator...
Nice place with out door service. Good staff but slow service. Right place to enjoy this small tourist town over a light luncheon. Time flys viewing the traffic passing through the town with a delicious food.
We had a nice stop here for refreshments on a long safari drive in February 2017. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was tasty. Excellent espresso and local coffee. Two in our party had mint and fresh ginger milkshakes and said they were wonderful.
Very nice people very clean restaurant...and toilets ;)
Very nice place. You can have lunch buffet at very nominal price. They have their pizza menu which is quite good.
