Tridevi Sadak, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal, Hetauda
Elegant garden created in 1920, with 6 pavilions, fountains, landscaped grounds, urns & birdhouses.
About a fifth of the garden area is currently being repaired or redeveloped. So keep that in mind as they actively work on the gardens while youre there. It is a relaxing, nice place to visit to escape some of the chaos out on the streets for an hour or two. We paid 400 rupees each for the visit. There is a large bamboo swing there that is popular and you may have to wait in line to use it.
Ticket rate in high. Good place for dating. Green n peaceful. Very accessible location
Beautiful garden, albeit a bit small but thats expected as Kathmandu is a small but interesting city. A very relaxing, quiet and secluded area where you almost forget that youre in Nepal. If youre planning on where to go during the day, then this garden is a great shout but youll spend 1-2 hour max here as it isnt very big, as previously mentioned. Definitely still visit this place though, I highly recommend it.
Its a quiet and beautiful place to relax and enjoy your time with friends and family.PS. You can enjoy the silence even if youre alone!
Nice and peaceful place bt not much too see and 400 Rs for entry fee
Nice place to hangout. If you have to kill 2-3 hrs of your time the best place to hangout. Overcrowded on weekends.
The serenity and the tidyness of the garden is remarkable. I went in the early morning hours woth nearly zero visitors, so got to truly soak in the experience of sitting in a quiet, well kept garden. However, for the price, the place is quiet small, and doesnt offer as much. Still good for a quick rendezvous.
One of the most comfortable, calm, scenic and beautiful place to beat chaos of Kathmandu. One can fancy fresh air and easily catch glimpse of squirrels too. The place is quite popular as lovers spot, but can be enjoyable with your family and friends as well.
By far the most beautiful and relaxing space among the commonly cited tourist locations.
The views are really eye catching, peaceful area. Its a beautiful place and mainly popular among couples. The cost of ticket is Nrs150 per person. Its worth it...☺️
Very Natural and accessible from the City Center, Thamel walking distance from Narshing Chowk
A unique Place in Nepal but overall not such a great garden to visit. There are many other Great Gardens in Asia as well as around the globe.
It is a very small park with European influence infrastructure. The park has few photographic spots and is mostly crowded with lovers. The ticket was expensive approximately 400 npr as compared to the park areas. The park is situated adjacent to the main road. It has a few cafeterias and a washroom inside the park. It has one small temple inside the park.
Garden of Dreams is one of the clean, and peaceful place for spending time, making tiktok, reading books, or to feel the nature.
A place that shows the power of restoration. Garden of Dreams is the symbol of proper communication and teamwork. The place is full of natural beauty and if you are looking for a simple day off from your busy schedule, this is a place to go for! You can rest, take a lot of excellent pictures amongst the nature! A must visit!
Beautiful place for photography and hang out with friends also close to thamel. Keep in mind the photos arent good at the midday as all structure are white. Afternoon is serene here. Well there isnt much to do than take pictures.
Best place to take peace,Beautiful and amazed inside kathmanduFountain Garden
Best destination in kathmandu valley to cheer up with friends, family or your loved one. Very well managed, clean and tidy place where you can see green all around. For a moment you will feel like you are not in the capital city. Just I dont recommend visiting in public holidays because of huge crowd on those days.
More of a small park than a garden. Tourist pay 400 rupees. Under renovations so maybe not in its full attraction 🤷🏻♀️
Lovely place 💖🏵️ where people can stay in a peaceful environment.
Garden of Dreams is always my favourite place to be. The history that it posesses is extraordinary. The lush garden, variety of flowers, beautiful pavilions, the sound of trickling water from the lovely fountains and the Library is alluring. If youre visiting for the first time, do note that theres an entry fee. Timings are 9 am - 6:30 pm. Some part is under renovation currently and the Kaiser Cafe was closed too.
It is great for an evening rest or to loiter around .There isnt much to see,the entry fee felt like a rip off for the small place
During my last visit, I went to the Garden of dreams, as I was an international visitor I have to pay 400 NPR as a ticket bill. this building has the vibe of eastern Europe and a big palace. The Garden of Dreams the Garden of Six Seasons, is a neo-classical garden in Kaiser Mahal Kathmandu, Nepal, built-in 1920. Designed by Kishore Narshingh, it consists of 6,895 square meters (74,220 sq ftof gardens with three pavilions, an amphitheater, ponds, pergolas, and urns. From the mid-1960s, upon the death of its patron, Kaiser Sumsher Rana. The Garden, which featured a design inspired by the Edwardian style, was considered one of the most sophisticated private gardens of that time. Landscape architect Kishore Narshingh, designer of Singha Durbar and architect to Shumshers father, the Maharaja, designed and supervised the construction of the Garden of Dreams.if you stayed in Thamel, the garden of the dreams is one of the cool places to visit. you can spent a lazy afternoon over there, there is a small coffee shop inside the garden of dreams.
Amidst the choas of the city, this garden is like a breath of fresh air with elaborate fountains and greenery around. Yet, it is actually very small for a garden. Nonetheless, very pleasing to the eye.
Very well laid out garden with picturesque landscaping. Good place to chill out and read a book, requires a nominal entry fee.
Relaxing place. Full of young people or in some cases couple. Didnt see many foreigners and families. Well maintained and food to relax on a cold day. The price is little expensive for foreigners, 400 NPR per person. Considering the price, the place is not worth it. If it was the same cost as local citizens (10 NPT or around that), it is worth a visit
The green garden among the crowd of thamel and durbarmarg.A perfect place for the book readers, and natural scenery or greenery lovers. The squirrels will steal your heart.. But wish you Dont disturb them though.Cafe there was taken out dont know for what reasons.. But an affordable cafe or restro is necessary there.Well if you need peace do visitTicket 150 for Nepalese around 400 or 500 for tourist
Aloof from the hustle and bustle of the city. Pretty well maintained but quite a tiny garden. 400NPR for foreign visitors.
It has ticketed entry, definitely not free. 150 NRP for locals and 400 NRP for foreigners (May 22).Its a garden of many different plants. Its pretty.
A place to spend some time with the loved ones... be it a family or for couples.. but my personal feelings is that there isnt much to say about the place.
A palace garden open for public leisure. Loved the nature, monument. Theres also a picture museum inside. There are two restaurants inside. One must always be prepared if it maybe open or closed.
Located close to Narayanhiti Museum, Darbar Marg and Thamel tourist market, this place is a must go for photography lovers and peace seekers. The Entry ticket for non-Nepalese people costs ₹400 NPR for each person. The ticket prices are a bit overpriced in my opinion because the place is small and doesnt have much to offer beyond some seating spaces and photography opportunities in its beautiful gardens. However, I find this place an ideal spot for doing pre-wedding shoots. However, if you are looking for peace in the crowded Kathmandu, this place is a must visit.
Overrated; it is not so serene given you hear all the traffic from the street and is under major renovations. Small but nicely laid out, it’s a magnet for those looking to take selfies and photos.
The best place for peace seekers ..Everyone from child to older people can enjoy the views. Ticket price is reasonable.
Peaceful environment..Greeny.. Best place relax n hangout with friends and families
Nice view and place to relax from crowded city, but need more work on backgrounds.
Don’t listen to the haters. It’s a Lovely little garden. Yes there is an entry fee, but the garden is v nice. It’s a nice break from being a tourist in the city. It was very relaxing to sit back and enjoy people watching. It seemed like a very popular spot with locals and hence doestend to get crowded so time your visit accordingly.
Its a beautiful place.. BT it was under construction still so, it was okay at this time
Great place to relax in Kathmandu, green and calm, you can walk around freely or sot on the grass or numerous benches. The cafe there is closed and theres not amy shop to get water. Also its smaller then it looks like from pictures and entry fee is 400 NRP. Its still a great place to visit and hide from all the noise and chaosy just dont count on spending too much time there since its small.
A must place to visit in Kathmandu. Peaceful and best for spending some time with friends or family.
Looking at the existing reviews n photos i thought it will be a huge place , with lot of unique plantation. But to my surprise, it was not very big. It has an entry price too, its 400 for adult foreigners, while for Nepalese people its less. Its in an english style so if one likes english structures its good. Overall a peaceful place to visit in the heart of the city.!
Garden of Dreams in Kathmandu, also referred to as the Swapna Bageecha and garden of six seasons is a neo-classical garden. It is located in Kaiser Mahal at Tridevi Marg and is easily accessible by the public. It takes two minutes to walk from the nearest bus stop, the Lainchaur bus interchange, to this place. It was built by Kishore Narshingh in1920. The garden has a magnificent amphitheatre, urns, gorgeous pavilions, paved perimeter paths, pergolas, and ponds.
Nice place to visit... If you want to find peace in the chaos of kathmandu city, you can go to this garden and chill for a while.
It was wonderful 😊. I had a pleasant time there. Its a peaceful place to escape the hustle of Kathmandu Valley. 🎈You need to pay to get inside and it varies depending upon your nationality. If youre Nepali, it will cost you significantly less than that of if youre foreigner or simply tourist. Theres no student id fee discount.Enjoy your visit. Have fun .Stay safe
Good place for photos, for relaxing under the sun. Not recommended for solo traveler 🧳
Lovely place to stroll or sit with a book. Nicely kept. Perfect for a break from the traffic and dust of KTM.
Entrance fee is 150 NPR per Nepali person & 400 NPR Per Tourist which is very high for such a small garden. The ambience is good and peaceful but the garden is small and partly under renovation. The garden is well maintained and serene.
Totally not worth it. Please dont pay 400NPR for such small garden when you can see such gardens for free anywhere. Come to India and youll see much better gardens for free with better view.
I find this place overrated. Entrance fee is kind of expensive for foreigners (400Rscompared to what you will actually see inside. A piece of history and unmaintained garden. Instagrammable. Come during the golden hour to get perfect shots. Within walking distance in Thamel area.
Entrance fee is 400 NPR per person which is very high for such a small garden. The ambience is good and peaceful but the garden is small and partly under renovation. The garden is well maintained and serene.
