Garden Promenade Café - Restaurant in Al Jizah, Egypt
Love the whole place and the historical information I knew about it.Looks like an old avenue in Europe.
Mariotte Zamlek best place for dinner and doing business
The best garden -promenad in Cairo
Wonderful. A historical/modern oasis in the hustle and bustle of Cairo.
I WOULDNT come for the FOOD. Was so excited to come to this restaurant BUT Food here is so bland and tasteless, arguably the worse I ate my entire holiday (including street food). The buratta tasted weeks old and was super dry. The pesto pasta had no flavour nor did it have much pesto...tasted more like a pea cream pasta you make is college when you have no food. The chicken I ordered, which was a thigh (very hard to mess upcame to me so dry it was inedible. I sent it back. At this stage I just wanted to get out of the restaurant but the manager insisted on bringing me another chicken dish which was even worse than the first one...they bring the chicken ready cooked on a sizzling BBQ which was dry and had no salt and very little spice. The rice served with the food was rice thats obviously been keeped in a warmer making the rice dehydrated (simply reheating the rice in a pan with some butter would give some life back to it).Honestly for a 5 star resort that food was left lacking all stars.Hotel is AMAZING, location is AMAZING, ambiance is AMAZING, drinks are AMAZING...BUT the food is HORRIBLE.Also saw 2 other tables around me sending food back which says a lot.
A prefect outdoor with fresh air spot.. lovely in the evening..
It’s a nice place to chill in; whether day or night. If you are not bothered by the Arabian tourists scouting for working girls it’s a nice place to eat a burger and have a cold beer and talk with friends. There can be some strange people roaming about but everyone keeps to themselves. The architecture and ambiance is great once you filter out the city noise and lurkers!!
Lovely, always busy
Nice historical place
Very nice and very expencive alcohol
Okay food and okay service, pretty expensive.
The place is nice , the view is beautiful but ....
Open area big area sound healthy placr this garden at omar khaim hotel in zamalek
The hamburger was very good, club sandwich was average, the fries were great, service is slow.Ambiance and views are just great and relaxing
Good food and as usual overpriced. We had the kofta .took forever to come. Wasnt bad but had way way better kofta elsewherein Cairo.
I always say this is the most peaceful place in Cairo. I come here a few times a week for the last few months, it is so peaceful sitting in the garden, whether its for a coffee or a wine, all the staff are always excellent and friendly at the marriott. Beautiful surroundings at the former Palace :)
Great place, lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Enjoy this cafe in the garden of this historic palace.
Great food, wonderful people watching. Be sure to visit the arabic bread oven and try some fresh baked pita bread.
One of the nicest places for open air outing in a garden. They sometimes have live music which adds a chearful atmosphere. They should consider to have it daily.
Best spot in Zamalek for outdoor drink or meal. Tables too close together, your neighbors will eavesdrop on your conversation. I wish for a total swap of staff to suit the Marriott brand. It always feels like they are doing you a favor, and belong better in Abou Shakra than in a 5 start hotel. live music can be obnoxiously loud.
In the hearth of Marriott ZamalekGood place to relaxing and enjoy time in open space
Very bad manager I hate the way he deals with, he is totally rude and not respectful at all his name is Mohamed Bonne and iam going to contact the head mangers and never stay their again
Nice mood and nice ambient to sit thereI have ordered Marriott burger which was super nice came with fires as a side dishThe burger patty was super delicious the bacon was nice but 25% of it was not properly cooked
Im really disappointedA fancy place, experience beverageVery baaaaaaaaad service!!!
Hot in the summer, the marble floor doesnt help with the heat as the marble itself absorbs heat and becomes very hot acting like a heat radiator. Its a nice place to have breakfast in the spring and early or late winter. In the summer go at night.
Excellent breakfast place, reasonable prices , service is not bad
Such beautiful restaurant inside the Marriott. Such a romantic design and elegant atmosphere
150 years old atmosphere. It is really stunning.
Some days you just want to feel like a true Zamalek Princess.
The place is beautiful. I wanted to try the food. I waited for almost half an hour then had to go and ask for a waiter myself. I first asked for a rib-eye steak, they dont have it although its on the menu. Went for a beef fillet, medium rare. They brought Tabasco and mustard to the table, but no salt and pepper... fillet was very good, cooked to a perfect medium rare. The pepper sauce was bland though. Generally, it was a good meal. However, again the empty plate waited for half an hour and I had to call someone to remove it. Was too lazy to ask for a coffee by then. The service is horrific and dulls the restaurant experience. The detailed review will be in East End Taste magazine.
Exclusive, historical and majestic !!Where you can have coffee, snack or a beer in open air space!
Ohh what a historic elegant place I visited it last time 1999 but it still carrying the fragrance of the marvelous Egyptian good days
Great outdoor experience with amazing views and service.. Would suggest adding fans for the summer weather
Excellent place to have an afternoon coffee or drinks, in a nice summer day. Refreshing!
Nice quite place for a snack or a meal or even just a walk and a visit in the heart of buzzing Cairo. Perfect stop for a break from the noise and stress. The garden and cafe sit in a beautiful historical palace built at the time when Egypt underwent some of its greatest transformations, under the rule of Khediv (ViceroyIsmail Pasha, grandson or Mohamed Ali Pasha, where egyptian and european exchanges have been at their peak. The architecture is a must see!
Excellent. One of the few places in ZAMALEK where you can have food and drinks in a beautiful garden with a very nice swimming pool. Not sure about service though. Too slow
Looks like a good place to stay in sunset, but in the summer morning, its too hot. The coffee is good. Yet to try other things
Place is nice. Food is not good . Service are acceptable but neither friendly nor proffesional
Great atmosphere and good service
Great atmosphere and food. The service is also very nice. The mushroom soup is very fresh.
Sit back and relax: an stylish oasis in this massive city
Great place to lunch outside. Either at JW Steak or the Italian Restaurant. Staff is attentive and kind. Definitely a nice place to lunch outside in Cairo

Nice place to hang out for a cup of coffee on a sunny day. Great service and friendly staff.
The best place to be .. breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner or even just to grab a coffee, a beer or a Sandwich. Youll always find someone you know or find someone to share your table or meal. Thats the best place to be anytime ..
This review is specifically for the Egyptian Nights Restaurant in the Garden Promenade. Customer service is ok not great. Food was a good representation of Egyptian food.
This place got nice atmosphere and relaxed seating, its in a well maintained hotel.... needs attention to food and service though
A very nice place. Fresh juices, very professional personnel. Very clean. Food is good. Keep up the good work.
Lovely place for a drink or meal. Outdoor seating, but with enough shade to be cool. Pricey by Cairo standards. As of May 2017, hotel construction was still ongoing, so there is a big construction wall, rather than a garden view and there is a lot of construction noise.
Was there on December 9thFood was excellent however portions were small.Service was very good. The venue was good, there was a band playing music there our table was near the band so the music was too loud we even couldnt talk to each other.Prices are on the upper scale, however we used our Entertainer coupon so it was fine.
