Garden Hot Pot - Hot pot restaurant in Richland, United States
This was really good. Ate way too much. But good!
Love this place, great place to get some great hot pot. The servers are great and make you feel great.
Such a unique experience when it comes to hot pot cooking. At first I questioned "why would anyone pay to cook their own food" but I soon realized that this is more so about the experience. This place isnt a come and grab a quick bite. You come here to sit down and spend quality time with your friends or family over a nice warm meal. The hot pot itself is delicious, we usually go with the lamb and beef slices as well as a medium spicey broth. The tingley/numbing feeling is all thanks to the sechuan peppers. The tables themselves have a convection flat top built into the them and the broth is brought out and set to boil on your table. You then get the sides you selected brought out and you cook it as you see fit. The only down side is that they dont have much for a kids menu, but the food is so good, I cant remove a star for that.
Great service, great food but overall I give a 3 out 5 due to the price per quality and portion is walking a tight rope and the table is sticky.
Great experience! I really enjoyed the lamb!
This was fun, hard to enjoy another begining if you are hungry, order appetizers so you can patiently let dumplings, noodles, and veg cook amd cool so they dont burn your mouth, meat cooks fast, also spice level 2 is hot because the chili oil sets on top and stick on what you take out
Very fun way to have a healthy dinner. Family fun to cook vegetables to your liking in a boiling seasoned broth. A little expensive when you get a wide variety of of foods to cook. Many food items are frozen when brought to the table. A container is provided for left over broth/food.
This was a great experience. The food was delicious. I can not wait to go back. Definitely try the marinated beef so good.
OMG! Why have I never sought out hot pot before? It was fantastic. We got the mild and spicy broths; the spicy was quite spicy. We ordered spinach, beef, lamb, wontons, frozen tofu, and soba noodles. Thank you, Fung Bros, for teaching me how to eat it via YouTube, before we went. The three dipping sauces were amazing - so much umami. There were three of us and there were leftovers; it was just so much food.
A surprise to find it. A traditional Chinese hot pot restaurant. The food is great. We came here for vacation otherwise we will come again.
The hostess was rude because I wanted to order to go she was not nice or helpful but people coming in to seated dinning were greatest much nicer. To bad for the owner the hostess made them lose business today and forever.
In looking at reviews I see most are 4 stars from 2,3 and 4 years ago. I think something has changed. The menu is definitely pricey. The atmosphere consists of a room with a lot of booths in it and the service is awful. A woman poorly dressed, walks up and drops one big sheet of paper and a pen on the table and walks away. We look at each other and ask what does this mean? One big sheet of paper turns out to be the menu on an extra large piece of paper. So there is a paper shortage? One menu for two people? Are we supposed to circle our selections or does she think we are writing a check? Not our kind of place.
The food is GREAT. Service is a bit funny but totally workable. Seating is pretty unique and uncomfortable after 30minutes. Its just planks of wood that are heavily stained a dark wood color... Just as a courtesy for those wondering in price. Its about 10 dollars per item. So the soup is 10 dollars (enough for 2 peopleand so for 2 people if you want soup ,chicken, broccoli, beef, enokie mushrooms and maybe even some dumplings. Youll spend 55-65 dollars before tip. BUT you may have left overs enough for 2 to have lunch tomorrow or at least 1 person depending on how much you like to eat.
Total hidden GEM! No so hidden any more. Go try some real Chinese Hot Pot! Get the half and half spicy and regular broth. So good!10/10 recommend, and will definitely eat again!
Our favorite place for warm comfort food! The food is yummy every time and staff are always friendly and kind!
This is favorite place to eat for our whole family. The food is fresh and delicious every single time. The family that runs the restaurant is so friendly and welcoming as well. A great environment with incredible food. Win win.
First time there but it was amazing. The service was good and the food was delicious. I took a few photos but was so excited for the experience that I didnt take more!
This place is really good just a heads up though if you dont like spicy get the beef broth even the mild spicy was really hot.
Great service, amazing food!
Went for my wifes birthday. Absolutely loved it. Wait staff was very helpful and it was a very fun experience.
Very good! The "medium" spice was FIRE 🔥. So next time we will order mild. I think it is best to have a small group as opposed to 2 people. Everything adds up quick, because it is ala carte. But the more people you have, the price doesnt seem quite as high.
The food was delicious and the staff was very polite and nice. You order the soup base and the items you would like to cook separately. I got the half spicy half original and the broth was so flavorful. The food was fresh and everything was reasonably priced.
The food is delicious after you blow on it. Be careful when enjoying your hot pot experience because believe it or not its hot! We ordered everything under the sun and all of it is delicious. I recommend pork belly, mild broth, and chefs special chili sauce.
Incredible!!! Best hotpot place!!! The absolute best!!! Amazing food, always clean, always perfect, always so so friendly. Been there many times and I am never disappointed. So tasty. Fair and generous pricing, and the family who runs it are some of the sweetest people Ive ever seen.Havent been able to go in over a year due to the pandemic, mourned and daydreamed of it often. Missed it with my whole heart. Just went back tonight on a date with my husband again, and it was exactly the same as I remembered and everything Id been dreaming about.Anyone who would rate this with 1 star is guaranteed to be the type of person who can simply Never be pleased, and I wish them peace in life if they are ever able to attain it.Garden Hot Pot will always be my favorite restaurant.
I’m from Seattle and I’ve always eaten at the best hot pot places over there but to garden hot pot is honestlysome of the best hot pot I’ve ever had. It is so inexpensive and their broth is the best I have ever had. The family that runs this place is so nice and the highlight of visiting. I’ve moved back to the Seattle area since living in tri but garden hot pot is always my first stop when I’m back on the east side. Go and I promise you won’t regret it, especially with a group of friends!
The food is amazing! Service is awesome they are friendly and efficient. I love it here so much!!! We will be back!!!!
The only truly authentic Chinese restaurant in Richland. Nearly everything is hand-made in-house (spring rolls, hand-pulled noodles, etc). Meat and veggies for hotpot are always fresh, broth base is just right. The staff are all extremely nice polite
Great staff, pleasant atmosphere! The food was great :)I loved the experience
This place was not at all what I had expected. It was my first time and had no idea what it even was and boy were they not helpful at all. I dont know if your food is suppose to all be brought out to you at the same time or not, but it wasnt. Then when we were almost done and they were about to close they ask if we still wanted our noodles and seemed a little upset that we said no since we wanted all ofmour food at the same time. I was not satisfied whatsoever, but Ive heard other people love the place. I guess its a hit or miss kinda resteraunt
Awesome experience. Fresh ingredients for phenomenal taste. Service that you wish you had everywhere. We will be back for sure. Great job!
This place is great!Hot Pot isnt for everybody, but my family and I greatly enjoy it. Their non hot-pot offerings are fantastic as well, dim sum buns are hand made and to die for. :)
I absolutely love this restaurant!! Everything is fresh, the service is amazing and they love my kids!! The first time I went I went for a date to try it out and of course with 4 boys in always try it out to make sure my boys will like it and if they will be ok going there.. this place is great!! My kids love it and it’s nice to be able to order one side for the kiddos and one side for the adults!!
This restaurant would get a higher rating but the consistency is not there. The first time we came here, the dumplings were off the hook. Cooked to perfection. This time though, they didnt even fry the dumplings to give them that taste. They forgot to put the little black seeds on top. The first time the cook took the time to make the food look appetizing. Not this time. They just threw them in a small container and put it in the bag.
This place was so delicious and at a very reasonable price point! We got the spicy soup broth, hand made noodles, cabbage, carrots and thin sliced beef. We had 3 people in our party and there was enough food for 1-2 more people. Also the service was great. The people are nice and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend!
Great 1st time experience. Unique and delicious food cooked at your table. Helpful staff assisted us in ordering and how to prepare the food. Healthy ingredients in a tasty soup base. My 101 y/o mother in law out ate me! Great time good food.
So good. We had the beef slices, dim sum, oyster mushrooms, and dumplings. So so good. Service is a little slow, bit you spend however much the you want cooking and eating your r food.
Authentic Chinese hotpot. Ive been waiting so long for one of these in the Tri Cities. Its better than Little Sheep in Seattle.
As this was my first time visiting, I tried to make it apparent to the waitress that I had no clue what I was doing. She placed an order sheet in front of me and expected me to understand it. I ended up ordering way too much food. As I had no clue what I was doing, the noodles did not cook fully. Between the noodles and the dumplings, I did not care for their pasta recipe. The broccoli and shrimp tasted like they had only been steamed, with no additional flavoring from the broth. The base broth did taste wonderful though.I have heard of those who have enjoyed this location. But as an inexperienced person, I have no desire to return.
Always a super fun experience. I love to do an adult only date, friends or family, and even the kids love it. Its fun to personalize your hot pot with what you want and to try new things or combinations. The fresh noodles are AMAZING!
Came here for the first time and loved it! The service was great; the owners especially are very welcoming and helpful when it came to figuring out what we wanted. I recommend the spicy broth with some pork belly 👌Also, expect to pay a bit more if you are wanting to eat and be full. It gets hot so dont bring too many layers that cant come off.
The most authentic Chinese food in town. Bring three friends and explore their myriad offering of specialty vegetables. Absolutely delicious. Make sure you have time to eat because although the food comes out immediately it takes a while to fill up on soup, and it is a monster portion!
Everything was fresh and delicious. I was impressed by the hand made noodles. Service was great, fast and attentive. We let the potatoes cook too long and they disintegrated in the pot and made the broth grainy, Ill skip that next time. I loved the pumpkin, ennoki mushrooms, pot stickers and thin sliced meats.Overall a very fun and enjoyable dining experience. Im glad the Tri-Cities has a place like this.
will be going back. very pleasant experience. service was great and food was amazing!
Our first time trying this. We really enjoyed the whole experience! Great service and helpful since our first time. We did the half spicy broth, which was delicious but next time we won’t use as much spicy! Also take more than two people. So much food for two. We took two big containers full. Soup for days.
Meat and veggies are fresh and in good quality. The non-spicy chicken soup is so good that I have to drink a bowl full everytime I ate here. The meat and veggies taste great in spicy soup. My daughter loves the handmade noodles in the chicken soup. Plus the owner is super nice. What is not to like?
EXACTLY What We Hoped For!We drove from two states over just to try this place, hearing that it was authentic Chinese Hot Pot, and after reading reviews. It did NOT disappoint! The place, though somewhat small and doing a fair bit of business, was a nice atmosphere, very clean. We enjoyed the look and feel. Although there is no sauce bar, we ordered every dipping sauce to try. All the sauces were very good, although the leek flower sauce won as our favourite and was refilled by our kind wait staff several times. The service was excellent! We never went without kind service- asking if we needed anything, constantly refilling our broth whenever low, and tending to our needs in a friendly and courteous manner. We really appreciated the service. EVERYTHING was delicious food-wise; all super fresh. We would recommend the regular beef if you enjoy meat and the mocha ice cream for dessert. As discriminating foodies, we were very impressed by the flavor of the broths (we had the two broths), as they were so perfectly spiced and wonderful all on their own as a soup! We ordered the handmade noodles and did not need a double order. The portions are NOT small, unlike one review I read- nowhere near small. (We went March 24th, 2018, and I am STILL enjoying the leftovers!Thank you so much to Garden Hot Pot. We are already planning to come back. You are a jewel we fell in love with and are so grateful to have found you!
Amazing food and great service! It was my first time at Hot Pot and they were more than willing to answer my questions!
This restaurant is worth checking out. Normally there is nothing special about soup until you try this place. The fact you can cook your ingredients in the restaurants delicious broth ( spicy or regularis pretty cool. You know you are getting the fresh ingrediates in your soup and its being made in front of you. They have many ingredients you can choose from but the ones we went with were homemade noodles, chicken, beef, shrimp, and dumplings. They have vegetable options but we were here for the meats today. Service was fantastic, we always had water and enough broth for our ingrediates. The portions were plentiful enough for someone to get full and have left overs. The steam buns we had here were also very delicious, best I have tasted here in Tri-cities.
Very affordable if in a group (3+), otherwise a little pricey on your own, by nature of the type of restaurant it is. Delicious food, very friendly service, a great modern atmosphere for group dinners. Dumplings and noodles are hand-made! Lots of love goes into the food and it shows!
Family owned which is awesome! Probably the best dumplings I’ve ever had anywhere. You can tell they’re homemade and not frozen. The whole pot pot is a new and unique experience. Great service! Perfect for these cold winter nights! I definitely recommend trying this hot pot.
