Amazing Place 🤩
Historical place, located middle of the bhavnagar city besides ganga-jaliya lack.
This is a very nice piece of architecture. Marble stone is used to make this structure. The carvings on the marble, the net work, the work on the pillars are also very fine. There is a lake next to it, you can walk and stop there. In the middle of the lake there is a water bridge and in the middle there is a white idol with a fountain.
Most historical place near to lake specially visit to view marble carvings

It is kept under lock & key. The key is obtained by requesting the stall-owner nearest the entrance. A Khodiyar maa or Aai Khodal is the enshrined daity of this shrine. It is on the edge of Gangajalia lake. Built with white marble, it has well-carved arches & grills. There is a multi-level parking facility nearby. It has a historical significance.
This used to be a place i loved so much but no maintenance at all. This heritage is turning into ruins.
Taj Mahal of Bhavnagar. Beautiful monument carved in marble on the lake side of Gangajaliya lake. Built by the mighty ruler of Bhavnagar state, his highness Sir Takhta Sinhaji Gohil. Beautiful place.
Cleanliness needs improvement. Otherwise nice experience
At a distance of 1 km from Bhavnagar Railway Station, Ganga Deri is a memorial situated on the banks of Gangajaliya Talao in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. It is one of the historical places to visit in Bhavnagar.Ganga Deri is a historical monument standing tall in the middle of the city as a silent witness through the history of Bhavnagar. This marble monument was built in 1983 AD by Maharaja Takhtsinhji in memory of his wife Maharani Rajba who died in 1875 while giving birth to the heir Bhavsinhji. It was designed by Sir John Griffith, who was the principal of J.J. School of Art, Bombay. The architectural style of the monument is a synthesis of Mughal and Rajput. Looks like a mini Taj Mahal, this elegant edifice has a chhatri, pavilion, and bridge all of which are built of white marble. The grills carved with delicate floral motifs and the columns are the distinctive features of the monument. This two storied structure was built as the centerpiece of the then Gangajaliya Talao. Though today, it stands on the banks of the lake which shrank as it has been reclaimed for other uses, it still holds its own identity.
Ganga Deri is located on the bank of Famous Gangajaliya Talab in Bhavnagar. This place is historical and builted by an English Architecture with an order of Maharaja Takhtsinhji in 1875 A.D. King Takhtsihji builted this Monument in memory of her Loving Queen, who died after giving birth of a Son. This monument is build with white marbles. We can feel cold breeze and calm here. I think this place needs to be care by Authorities.

Ganga Deri is a state protected monument in the city of Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Built in 1893 after sixteen long years, Ganga Deri is now in a bad condition and needs to be restored urgently. While the surroundings of the structure are filled with dust and debris the structure itself has developed cracks. Further neglect of this structure would be a colossal loss to all the local communities and tourists who come to see it.
It is a historic place built by beautiful marble artwork. It was built in 1893 by the King of Bhavnagar State, Shri Takht Singhji in memory of his wife Queen Rajbaa. It is a splendid piece of art built according to the Rajput and Mughal styles. It is located on the banks of the pond. People call it as Ganga Deri, but in fact its name is Ganga Chhatri.Though it is a protected monument, due to urbanization it is now surrounded by bus station, shopping malls and markets. And the local authorities too are failed to keep maintain this beautiful heritage properly. Hope they understand its value very soon and protect our heritage...
Nice heritage, very peaceful place, but municipal corporation should keep this place clean
I loved it.. But I also hated how it is not maintained at all. It displays great history of Bhavnagar but alas! No proper place for parking, no cleanliness around and inside it. I went by looking at its pictures and it was indeed incredible but as there was no maintenance I totally regretted going there.
This is one of the Ancient Monuments of Bhavnagar city designed and made by the king of Bhavnagar region SRI KRISHNAKUMAR SINHJI in their early years with many other Monuments in this city for the public lived here.
Its very good historical monument but very sad to say that it is neglected in preservation aspect marvelous marbal arts minutely carved predicts a wonderful crafts and skillful work.

Its one of the very few temples of Shri Ganga Devi built by great king of the Bhavnagar state. But, due to maintain and lack of awareness, this place is out of the travellers visit.
Now it is under construction and sure it will be one of the best place to visit
