Food is delicious and service is fantastic! Enjoyed the Bourbon glazed shrimp.

Very great place overall! The Sweet Chili Salmon was outstanding. My favorite was the queso grits. Heard many others mention other things they claimed were the best theyd had.

Always a solid experience all round! I’ve had many items, always great. Ultimate BLT w fried green tomatoes/egg and the hot brown was delicious.

Really good food and not overpriced compared to its ilk. Variety of dishes. Shrimp and Grits is a particular favorite. The Meatloaf (seriouslyis good. They have a nice little assortment of beers. Friendly staff. We go fairly regularly. Check it out!

Service was phenomenal, restaurant itself was clean and inviting. Food was delicious, but you got rather small portions for the price paid. When we went 8/28/22the bathrooms were a mess but they were renovating the womens restroom so they had to make due with just the mens. It was rough. But otherwise a 5/5 experience.

I had a great Kentucky Hot Brown today there. It was served by a smiling waitress. It was one of the best Hot Browns Ive had. For dessert I had Strawberry Shortcake, which was equally delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, quiet, good for relaxing, and tables were spaced well so it wasnt crowded.

Great for easy dining, food, drinks, atmosphere and service is top notch. Their bourbon shrimp is ridiculously good.Great bourbon selection

Two words: Grit Cakes. This place is incredible! Huge portion sizes, flavorful, well seasoned, and great quality. I had the Black and Blue salad, and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken Alfredo, and love that as well! This is going to be a regular place of ours now. ♥️

This place was absolutely awesome. We went there for my Birthday dinner.Started off with Chips and queso. I had the Hot Brown and my husband had the Shrimp Alfredo. Both were delicious. Topped it off with the Blondie for dessert. Nicole our server was very attentive. Scott the manager came to check on us twice. Definitely will be going back.

Never disappointed and always a great experience. Always a go to when visiting our son & DIL for the weekend. Did Father’s Day Brunch Buffet today. 👍🏻. The shrimp & grits were my favorite bit everything was so good. I love the young, positive, hard working staff. They all seem to really enjoy their jobs. We love Kris also. Talked about MI and how much we love. Kudos to the Management Team for keeping your employees engaged, respectful and loving their job.

I always love going to Gander when Im home in Louisville. Goose Creek Diner, the proprietors prior venture, is great whenever you want reasonably-priced homestyle diner food, but Gander is where his culinary chops really shine. I always get the Shrimp and Grits, and i enjoy it every time. If you like New American style cuisine and youre in East Louisville, try this place! You wont regret it.

I’ve been here a few times and loved it every time. Got take out one time, and got a Gander Burger, their signature burger. It came out looking like this… I’ve had this burger before at this restaurant and it’s been great. But for real, what in the world is this? Burger on toast? They were also out of their sidewinder fries.

Enjoyed lunch today with a long time friend who is a regular customer. My first visit wont be my last! I ordered a Hot Brown. It was the best I have had in a while. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel welcome!!

We really enjoy this restaurant. It’s got a varied menu. We’ve eaten here several times and have received only one poor meal. Other than that we eat here as much as possibly since it’s so close to us. Plus, they became real troopers during COVID. I was very impressed with their response. Just because of that we will always add this to our list of restaurants where we want to consider for a night out.

Went to this restaurant for Mothers day brunch buffet. Was charged $30/person for a small buffet selection with food that was dry, and over cooked. I expect upcharges for holidays, but I also expect whats offered to match that upcharge. The one positive was the service.

Food was good. We went for mothers day buffet. They definitely crowded in a lot of tables for not a lot of space. The variety of food and desserts were good. Would recommend overall.

$15 for TWO steak tacos is pretty ridiculous but I gave them a shot. My mistake. The steak was incredibly dry and the tacos overall extremely bland. Should’ve asked for them to take it off my bill but I felt I couldn’t after finishing one out of the two tacos. I got mashed potatoes on the side—I took a couple of bites and left that & the other taco at the restaurant.

I was there with 11 others on Saturday 4/23/22. We had 1 server (I think her name was Maryshe was fabulous!!!! The Kentucky Hot Brown was wonderful. White queso grits are out of this world!!!! Everyone loved what they ordered. We shared the Potato Skins, Fried Green Tomatoes, Soft Pretzels with queso, and Fried Calamari. All were delicious!!!!Highly recommend!!!!!

Great experience! There were 11 of us and we ALL loved our food and waiter! The food also came out really quickly. I think it was about 20 minutes and all 11 of us were served our food. Great little place to visit. Will have to go again soon.

My family & I wanted to try something new for dinner, looked up places near me & this was our pick. Im so glad we did. Awesome place. Food, service, cleanliness, all up to par!! We spent a little bit more many than usual but definitely worth it when you get what you paid for !

We went here for the first time over the weekend and enjoyed ourselves. We had fried green tomatoes and pretzels with queso for appetizers, both were so delicious! Our dinners were shrimp and steak tacos with Mac and cheese, blackened chicken Alfredo (both pictured below), chicken fried chicken and kids grilled cheese with fries. Dessert was Creme brûlée and butterscotch brownie. Our entire party enjoyed everything, it was all super good. Service was also really good! We will definitely be back again!!

Lets just start with the salsa. Man its good. Ive had a lot of salad dressings before and man the smokey tomato dressing is one of the best Ive had. And I found out you can buy it by the pint. Thats awesome. The sunrise burger is always a winner. My wife had the chicken fried chicken and that was awesome as well.

Exceptional service, tasty food, and a complimentary birthday cheesecake slice. I had the Country Boy coffee stout on draught with beer battered cod, chips (sidewinder friesand a zingy coleslaw and everything was superb. Kids had mini cheese burgers and chicken tenders with fries, includes a soft drink. We enjoyed this dinner so very much, we will surely return.

This place is amazing. We got there right when they opened. We got seated quickly. As soon as we sat down, our waitress got us all waters and asked us if we wanted anything else to drink. We then ordered our appetizer and within 10 minutes or so, it was on our table. We got the fried green tomatoes. So flavorful. The sauce that came with was delicious. We ordered our main entrees and waited no more than 20 minutes (probably less because it all seemed so fast). Dont let time fool you. The food was HOT, yummy, and fresh. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. Try the strawberry shortcake, its worth it! We enjoyed this place and plan on going back to try other things. I got my eyes on trying the shrimp and grits!

Giving it a 4 because of the good service and friendly staff. They were awesome. The food was average. I was so excited to go but everyone in our party had some disappointment in their meal. Dont get the gravy or pasta. Atmosphere was very very nice however. Even a small outdoor area to wait and lounge.

Good food and atmosphere. Have had several work gatherings here and its always delicious and a good time. They have tasty pretzel buns for their juicy burgers served with the best twisty fries. They also have good size portions, as I always only finish half of my food here. I havent tried much else on the menu because I get the same thing every time, however Ive heard only good things from friends and coworkers that have more adventurous palates than myself.

The food, service and prices for Ganders brunch were excellent! While their regular menu includes a Hot Brown made with the usual turkey, the one offered as part of their brunch menu is made with the most succulent country ham, a few slices of ripe tomato, crispy bacon, and an egg all on top of toasted sourdough smothered in a delectable mornay sauce. We also enjoyed the Grit Cake, and some of the best baked potato soup Ive had on a long time Delicious!!

Good restaurant with a nice menu. We arrived during the dinner hour on a Friday night. Staff was busy, but all had a positive attitude. I ordered a burger with a side order of loaded potato soup. There was a long wait for our orders to come to the table. While we waited, our server did a great job assuring we had drinks and kept us informed on the status of our meals. She told me that they were short handed this evening and that is why orders were coming out a little slower. That was understandable. The food eventually arrived, the burger was good and the loaded potato soup was outstanding. There was a nice patio for seating and the entire restaurant looked very clean. We are looking forward to returning soon.

We checked this place out on a whim while we were in town. They got us seated right away and the food was phenomenal. I had the shrimp Alfredo and it was definitely the best Ive had so far. Our waitress seemed stressed or tired and wasnt very friendly. She seemed annoyed that I was waiting to see if my son wanted me to order him something to go. But other than that we had a great experience.

Went there for dinner. Was pleasantly surprised. We had a group of four. Everyone enjoyed there meal. I felt prices were good. Also thought the portions were generous.Ate here a second time. I felt the food was decent and generous portions. I wouldnt say I havent had better food but it wasnt bad. I had meatloaf and my husband had fish and chips. He also thought food was okay. I wouldnt say either meal was the best we had ever had but was a decent meal.

Great food and definitely worth the price. Cant say anything bad about it. If you get the pasta you will be VERY FULL. Hot brown is amazing. Cant wait to go back and try more food! A great restaurant in louisville and Middletown

I really liked this place. Outstanding friendly quick service. Easy parking in the plaza and good location in Middletown.Place is not easy to notice from the street as you drive by.There is a bar area, a regular restaurant area and outdoor seating. Currently it allows indoor and outdoor dining as well as pick up.I had marsala chicken pasta it was great. Creamy but not heavy. The chicken breading could use some seasoning or something to kick it up a notch. But overall it was great, the bread was exquisite. Great suggestion from my server.There are many other plates in their extensive menu. Also loved the number of tvs in the bar area. This could be a great place to watch sports or some game. 👍✔Very well stocked bourbon bar. And the soda refills have perfect timing! 🥰

Gander was Great! They have an extensive menu that covers anything and everything you could want. The food was excellent. The service was great. Prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is good. They have a decent patio as well. You really cant go wrong at this neighborhood jewel. There is plenty of parking as well. Good bar selections.

The Gander burger with pimiento was AMAZING...so was the queso grits! I dont like grits but dang that was good! Our waitress was Samantha D and she was the bomb! She was very friendly and had the best suggestions! She recommended the blondie for dessert and it was absolutely to die for! Highly recommend! Ask for Sam and treat her good because she was awesome!

The food is absolutely delicious! So many choices,and each one is phenomenal-pics of the goat cheese fritters with sweet chili sauce 👍 and the prime rib sandwich, along with Kobe beef Burger-wish they had a location in Jtown...just sayin😉

Pros-Fried Green Tomatoes, Wedge Salad, Shrimp & Grits, Hot Brown. Our server was great. Her recommendations were on point. This is a locally owned operation that had a shaky start years ago but their staff and the menu is rock solid now.Cons-Wobbly table top.

Wow. Recommended by a friend when I asked about drinks. Too bad I missed happy hour (over @ 6:30and I was too tired to hang out until 9.Food was fantastic. Drinks were tasty. I was offered free dessert b/c my entree was delayed.We had cocktails, appetizers, made substitutions on menu. Nothing caused our server to kiss a beat. She made great Suggestions (even though I wasnt 100% in agreement, I appreciated her input.I will be back
