Absolutely Wonderful Food and Beverages!

Is cozy, I always go for the duck amd the brussels. The service is attentive, but not overwhelming. Perfect to go as a cuple and enjoy the ambience, is fun with a little of romance.

, its not at all what it used to be... cocktails were weak ... food tasted bland ... a lot of the food tasted like it was locked up in a fridge for days actually... I cant tell what it is but it seems like a fake version of what it once was. also the bathroom smells weird. R.I.P .

Gallo Negro is tasty, hip, and incredibly friendly. Seriously, I practically fell in love with the waiter, and later the owner came over and chatted with us for a long time, and even gave us some detailed recommendations for places to go afterwards. A real gem of a place: modern, but vibrant and alive, not like all those cookie-cutter modern hotel restaurants. Go!

One of my favorite spots in Santurce. Ive been here for brunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. Their creative menu, cool ambiance and friendly staff make it a perfect spot for any meal of the day. I also enjoy their cocktails .

When you are in a restaurant, you eventually understand that waiters are not happy with your arrival, because they already have a lot of work, and then you and the children. And this unwelcoming attitude towards you is read in each of their actions.Service can not be called good, its disgusting. Already after we made the order, our friends joined us. The waiters did not pay attention. We had to go and on our own to take the menu on the counter. For 15 minutes, nobody came to order. We approached the bar to make an order - the waiter in a unwelcoming tone explained that she is busy - "Sit down, Ill come to you." she commanded. But she did not found the opportunity to do this, although I counted only 4-5 tables with guests for 2 waiters.In the restaurants menu there is Margarita pizza for 6.90 or 9.90 because of different sizes. I chose a big Margarita and asked to add ham. The result in the account is 25 euros and some absolutely different pizza, not Margarita. The waiter insistently, arrogantly and even rudely explained to me that this is my problem, that I did not understood menu and could not explain to her what pizza I want.I thought then how much work of managers, cooks, investors, crossed out two absolutely incompetent, lazy and rude waitresses, Tamara and Veronica - who, of course, should not work at any restaurant at all.

Great selection of Whiskey. Wednesday through Friday you will enjoy a great selection of $1 tapas at the bar, from 6pm to 8pm.

Where do I even start? This place was incredible. I wish that they would open one back home so I could come here all the time. It is so incredibly cute inside, feels very vintage but cozy. Our waitress, Carrie, was so so amazing. She asked about our "flavor profiles" to help us decide on what cocktails to try, and even had the bartenders make something specifically for us. Not a single drink disappointed. We got 4 items off of the menu and every single one was incredible. I dont think you can go wrong with anything here. The chef clearly knows what shes doing. I really cant review this place high enough, it was everything I want in a restaurant/bar and then some! If you are in San Juan absolutely make this a priority.

This place is just excellent in so many ways. I recommend you arrive from 6-8. Otherwise youll wait for your food longer. A little bit pricy but totally worth what you pay for. Also, the only thing I can complain is the parking. You have to park in the streets or pay for their valet.

This has been the worst culinary experience Ive ever had. I honestly fear of getting food poisoning. The chicken drumsticks felt like they were deep fried days ahead and then they are swamped in sriracha sauce. The tempura cowliflowers were extremely salty...Very dissapointed because the place had a nice and elegant vibe but deffinitely they dont pay as much attention to detail to the food they serve. Had a good server but if they see I barely finished eating the food they should ask if everything is ok with the food...Specially when its so expensive.

Very cozy upscale bar with brunch specials saturday and sunday. Ask for their Bloody Mary.

Amazing food and excellent service. Everything was impeccable. Loved the cray fish empanadas and the pato al 15 (duck breast and mushroom risotto).

El Gallo Negro sports an amazing whisky menu. This is the place for a killer dinner and out of your mind Sunday brunch. This is one of my favorite spots in San Juan.

George the bartender makes fantastic cocktails that pack a punch. Cool ambiance, laid back but upscale.

The food was creative and delicious (need more vegetarian options and some choclo). The bartenders provided phenomenal service! What was supposed to be a cocktail and an appetizer, due to the limited veg options, turned into a very full evening. Hoping to get back to Puerto Rico to visit again!
