Great food and wonderful service.

Great independent restaurant on a street of chains. Right off the interstate. Excellent American comfort food with friendly staff. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly. Support local businesses it really does matter.

Most Impressive, Service was top notch.One Lady working the floor last night.Not one empty table, She did not miss a beat. Better, Healthier selection MenuVery busy. The Food was great! Old School Service !Tips say a lot, so tip well !My Tip was more than the ticket.Like I said, Black Iron next door Over rated.15 tables and 4 staff could not keep up.

Waited about a hr for our food, then the food doesnt come out all at ounce. The waiter didnt come back to the table after the last dish was served, till we was getting up to pay. Food isnt that good. Floor was super dirty.And on top of everything.... it wasnt even that busy, they had alot of empty tables.... so no reason for the poor service....

Usually food is good, but the all U can eat cod made my stomach churn.

Excellent service for a good price. I always need a go-box.

Note: Visited them July 30th on the way back from Missoula. Used to love this place would visit once a year. Took my fiancé and was not impressed with their breakfast (biscuits and gravy were too peppery).I was not impressed with the waitresses this go around. The restaurant was not too packed but seemed like one (waitress #1was too busy to be able to serve the right drinks to the elderly couples. And the other (waitress #2was flitting around not helping the main waitress. When a couple asked waitress #1 for a to go box when she walked by. She acknowledged their request but the poor couple had to wait for over 5 minutes before they went up to her and asked if they could get a to go box.When it was our turn to pay for our meal waitress #1 was busy so we went to waitress #2 who was behind the pay counter. Her response, "Im sorry I cannot ring you up because I dont have Waitress #1 key code, youll have to wait."If thats the case, dont stand behind the register counter go up to waitress #1 and ask for the code to ring up a meal or help her with wiping tables, taking orders, or serving drinks. I get it its hard to find people who want to work but they need to train their staff better when it comes to common courtesy, punctuality, working as a team, and helping each other out.

I love eating here, or just having coffee. Girls are always Smiling, and on the ball. They are very nice.

Had breakfast, didnt even look like an omelette! Short while later I was sick and I mean sick! Wouldnt recommend this place!!!

My wife decided to take me to eat for fathers day, I picked Galligers family restaurant. Boy was i disappointed. I ordered butterfly shrimp, when the order arrived the waitress stated they were out of butterfly shrimp, so they substituted popcorn shrimp instead, and she asked if that was ok. I told her they should have asked that before they cooked it and i didnt want that because thats not what i ordered. So i chose chicken fried steak and told her i wanted fresh onion rings. Well the food came chicken fried steak was ok but they just dump the onion rings in a differant bowl and she served them, i knew they didnt make fresh as they were cold to the touch. I ate the steak and two of the onion rings, they were to cold to enjoy. Extreamly disappointed in the quality of the food. As i love here in this town my whole life but have traveled extensively this was the poorest experience i have had in a long time, i cant say if i would ever go back and sure cant recommended it to others. Maybe if they change all the cooks and hire better qualified ones.

Great service and good food!

This is the 4 times and all have been less then desirable...Tried to give them another chance but was the same everytime. Messed up orders...gravy and fries came after the meal.Not good. Wait staff seemed friendly but not good experiences for us. We drove quite a distance ( 11 hrs only to be disappointed. Wont go again.

Plus: they open early for breakfast. I had also a meal. Food is fair, as well as service

My husband and I stopped in for our anniversary dinner while on the road to Alaska. The server was great. The food was delicious!

We had the Open Faced Sandwiches.Roast Beef and Turkey. Excellent portions with Mashed Potatoes. Good price.Will be back!

They were extremely busy. They should have someone seating you instead of seating yourself. Could get service faster.

Plenty of seating. Fast, friendly service. Food came out quickly and was hot and tasty. I got the biscuits and gravy with hash browns and eggs and bacon. Will go here again.

The customer service wasnt bad, but the food was awful. I ordered chicken fettuccine and it was greasy and had no flavor.

Good food, omelet was a little different from what I like but still ok. Good service and a cool place if you like history.

The place was dirty, stuff all over the floor. Food came out fast BUT the side salad was just a bowl full of wilted iceberg lettuce. I got a side of Mac n cheese which was the boxed kraft kind. My Husband got the chicken fried steak which was burned and the veggie side was your basic frozen vegetable medley of carrots, peas, green beans and lima beans.We wont be back...you get what you pay for.

A Dennys sort of place, locals eat here, good food and friendly service. I had chicken tenders that looked like they were overcooked and theyd be dry, but were tender and juicy. Kathy had a Taco Salad that she enjoyed. Even with my typically big appetite, I brought home two chicken tenders that Ill have for breakfast

Food was great. Service was great, waitress came over several times to check on us. Reasonable prices. Id recommend this place.

This restaurant was kinda dirty and run down. The carpet was really gross. My food tasted ok but for some reason my wrap was super watery & the lettuce seemed bad.. it was. I got sick shortly afterwards, which is the main reason for my review. The coffee was great and service was good, however this place need some work!

Food really good, but the building could use a good cleaning. Prices were really high for breakfast choices. Apparently thats the norm for Miles City, though. Would eat here again if we are in the neighborhood.

This place was great. service was excellent considering conditions. over worked and under staffed, seems to be a common dilemma. Great food good service, i would eat here again.

My top sirloin was tender and delicious! Great flavor! My husband had the ham dinner offered for Easter and it was moist and delicious!First time here! Definitely will stop again!

The food was very good here however the way I watched the server treat the dishwasher was down right disgusting! I’m trying to teach my child how to treat people with respect and then she watches you talk down to the dishwasher right in front of customers?!?! Have a little pride and dignity in your place of employment and learn to be professional

The food was tasty and enjoyable, wait staff was friendly and quick. The prices were a little bit high, but was a better bargain than most fast food joints these days.Over all a good experience, I will eat there again if I am even passing Mile city agian.

Ate breakfast in bar area. Taken to table with dried food on it. The waitress did not smile at anyone, obvious she didnt want to be there. She did not wipe chairs down when people left. She did not wipe sugar, salt, pepper when she put away. Not a people person and with Covid, she should know better. Food was good.

We were traveling and just happened to find this Cafe and I am so glad that we did. The service was awesome and the food was amazing. They have the best hollandaise sauce that Ive ever had. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Ate in the bar area. The server wasn’t friendly and seemed peeved we were even there. Only one other table so not sure why...Food was excellent. I had a Ruben on rye with fries. Both very good. I am thankful I went to the restroom and through the dining room after I ate. Both were not clean and just gross.

We ordered the all you can eat Cod fish turned out to be breaded fish sticks had to take the breading off to eat them did not like the mashed potatoes and gravy just my opinion. We should have ordered breakfast I guess.

The food was very well portioned and tasted very good. The wait staff was very friendly and provided great service. Definitely would go again to eat there.

We have eaten here before, but were so disappointed this trip. Prices are fair, however meal, service and cleanliness was poor. Iced tea was bitter, chicken fried steak was stringy and soggy. Skimped on fries...waitress was nice but forgot my salad. And the worst...flies all over us. And it was hot in there. We stop in MC on a long trip we take 4-6 times a summer. Unfortunately we wont dine here again.

Great breakfast food and 4/5 times weve had great service. Rating is due to how dirty the place looks. Its all stains but this place has got to bring in enough money to get some new chairs or carpet, its really gross!

Under Staffed, Slow service and Cold Food... Not impressed !!!

We went in for breakfast late on a Sunday morning. Service was good and the food was good. Sausage and eggs over easy hash browns toast coffee all very good. We chatted with some other guy who was in there. Friendly service and the coffee just kept on a-coming. Try it. Youll like it.

We usually go here for breakfast. Tried lunch the other day and the salad bar was nice and fresh with many options. Ive never heard of deep fried green beans but I have now! Deliciousness! The servers were very polite and friendly.

Food was great with the exception of my husbands nachos... We expected more - was a pretty small portion. Our waitress was adequate but not overly friendly, although we observed other staff being very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return whenever we are in the area!

Stopped in here for breakfast. Mom and I split a Denver omelette breakfast and it was delicious and the right amount of food for us both. Nicely done hashbrowns were crispy but not over cooked. Flavorful and we received excellent service. Coffee tasted fresh and was kept full entire visit. We would definitely come here again.

Awesome food, great service except for one time. A young guy with shorts, unlaced sockless shoes, waited on my granddaughter and myself. He took our order, walked over by the salad bar, blew his nose, ran his finger underneath his nose, and then walked over and picked up our plates of food. Gross. I couldnt eat mine.

I was very disappointed because I got the Captain Crunch French toast to go and when I got back to my motel across the street I discovered that no utensils had been included. It was 101° outside and I didnt want to go back across the street. I checked with my motel and they had no cutlery. I called Gallagher and explained the problem. They said they didnt know what they were supposed to do about it. I suggested they send someone over with utensils and preferably a fresh food order as mine was rapidly deteriorating. I was put on hold for several minutes and then told someone would be over in 2 seconds. 5 minutes later the cutlery arrives. Two bites in and I knew I had just wasted my money and would not be eating this mess. Gee, thanks Gallaghers.

Great little dive. Had Captain Crunch covered French Toast and it was awesome. Kids loved it as well.
