Modern zoo with animals from around the world, plus an indoor dinosaur park & a petting zoo.
Worst zoo where i’ve ever been. Not enough animals , the price is horrible compared to the attractions.
The way the zoo is divided into several section helps prevent a redundancy feeling even after several hours. Most of the animals seem to be stimulated enough and to have enough space except for the lions Which I found a bit sad.
Great if you want to see plastic and stuffed animals. 4 adults and 1 Baby. More than 100€ spent in Tickets and parking only. Unbelievable. Never again.
Nicest zoo I have ever seen, feels like walking in a park, can be busy sometimes.
A really beautifully landscaped zoo, with a good variety of animals from near and far. There are many ways to observe them, either in the open or in their enclosed pens. Also the animals have a lot of space and enough space to hide if they dont want to people watch. There are quite a few playgrounds for children nicely distributed in the zoo, so ample options for kids to play. There are also a few restaurants and cafés with differening menus! And the staff is super helpful and friendly!! Really a must visit!!!
Our family has year tickets for this zoo and we go as often as we can. The kids love seeing the lions and rhinos and its nice even to just have a little wander and get an ice cream.
Plenty of amimals and things for the children to do! Food and drinks can be bought here or you can bring your own. Drinks are a bit expensive, €2.75 for a 200ml bottle. A 330ml is cheaper than that (Just for your information). There is also some exhibit and information you can lean about the animal your interested in. The gorillas might not be outside at times. Your best bet is to keep waking towards the gorilla enclosure where mostly likely they might be eating. Overall it was a great experience, great for the family.
Absolutely beautiful zoo, the nature and use of streams of water give it a lovely peaceful vibe, everything is nice and modern and there were a few species i had not seen before.
A beautiful zoo to visit with a nearby parking lot and easily accessible via highway. Plenty of eat and drink facilities and playgrounds for kids and a cute store to buy gifts.
This is a fantastic Zoo! Beautiful place with a great variety of animals. Nice to walk around, enough possibilities to have a drink. Great parking place.
I loved it. The special corridor to walk. It was a hot day but it was all right, a lot of shadow where you walk. It is nice. Beautiful animals.
Enjoyed the variety of animals. The all seem to have a good amount of space. Also enjoyed the ice cream.
Very beautiful park and too nice animals 😀thank you GaiaZOO 🍀🤗😘🇺🇦❤️
This is a good little zoo. It has nice paths to walk and look at all the different animals. Kids have a lot of possibilities to play and you can buy refreshments all over the area. Also good numbers of public restrooms and they are wheelchair friendly. The culinary experience is quite dissapointing though. Only 3 from 5 Stars. Worth giving it a try to spend a few hours and have a good time.
Fantastic zoo! My kids and us grown-ups enjoyed the trip just the same. Not the typical zoo where you see more cages than the animals themselves. You will see here "happier" animals, very active as if they are trying to entertain guests. All because of their environment, Gaia zoo made sure the animals feel they are in their closest-real habitat: lots of greens and trees around. A lot of play areas for the kids too, dino-go-round is very good. The dinodome is awesome, must-check for those who plan to visit. Generally amazing experience.
Perfect adventure. We especially liked the closed tour sections with birds and monekys roaming around us.
Great zoo, the areas were well maintained. Everything was clean. Lots of animals to see. It has a great spot to eat a snack while you visiting. Plenty of things for kids to play.
Medium zoo. The biggest disappointment is the aquarium. On the map there is an “aquarium” but actually it is just a room with dead animals. I wouldn’t call it a zoo if it’s without aquarium… except this the zoo is well decorated with plants and trees. It was a relaxing walk after all. The restaurant was very very busy during rush hours where you could barely find any places to sit. The advantage of the zoo is that there was always a sign on the route indicating where to go. There was enough parking.
It was okay. Surprisingly few people on a Saturday in summer. Children will probably enjoy themselves but dont expect anything special animal wise.
3 stars because its a zoo but it doesnt even deserve that many. For the arrangement of the zoo 7/10For the animals 3,5/10For the working staff 6/10I recommend only If u are from the neighborhood it self it would be good, tourists I suggest to pass your way.
Most beautiful Zoo. The animals are as good as possible integrated into nature.
Very nice zoo, all the animals are placed in what looks like their natural habitat. The park is very well done and very clean. You have multiple cafes and restaurants to eat at. Overall a very well done park.
Nice zoo that is also beautiful in terms of flora. Also many play equipment for children up to 12 years.
Really nice zoo, people take good care of the animals here. Really feels you are in forest.
Is lacking a few animals but the place is big, neat, clean and with a pleasant ambient . We spent a very nice day there. Various restaurant as well as play areas for the kids. I recommend it
Most of the animals have big open cages and some are getting even bigger ones in the future. While this might be annoying for us its great for the animals, more space for them to run around and hide from us when necessary. The covid rules are easy to follow and I had a safe feeling going around the park.
Lovely place to visit as a kid or an adult or full family together. Perfectly planned routes which are easily accessible by foot or even for wheelchair access or with baby prams.Enough food options at multiple restaurants with range of drinks snacks ice cream and etc.Enough spaces for sitting when you feel little tired and animal areas and shelters are very clean and managed so well without any foul smell.Big parking space and very well accessible with public transport as well.Staff is equally good and supportive.
Went here with the SocialDeal discount. With that we paid around 50 euros for two adults and two kids. Quite a nice zoo. Love it how well decorated most of it is. It is lovely and blends perfectly between the worlds. Also the restaurants blend in well with the scenery. Nice collection of animals. For kids there are quite a few lovely playgrounds. I didnt understand the 8 letter puzzle thing they hand out at the entrance though and didnt bother enough to ask for elaboration. Quite a lot of maintenance going on, things being broken or in need of maintenance. All the mechanical kids rides are broken. One had a sign on it that it was closed because they couldnt manage to get spare parts for it in the current world economy. Still feels odd that all of them are broken then. The water playground was a little too simplistic. Doable to visit everything in one day. Toilets and park are very clean. Restaurants are really pricey, but you can easily bring stuff from home. Lots of seating, also when bringing your own stuff. Parking at the zoo costs 7,50 euro but you can also easily park entirely free at the Kerkrade train station. See my review of the parking lot of the zoo (P1for walking instructions..
Gaia Zoo is a great place to spend a weekend with family and friends. We really enjoyed it here. Especially 🦁 Lions and Gorillas 🦍lot of playground for kids. Great Restaurants a lot to choose from.We will be back.
We bought tickets online (21,50€/personand it made going through the gate a breeze. Their website says you can only buy parking online (7,50€and you’ll need the parking ticket they give you at the gate to exit the parking lot. We went on a Saturday at 10am and it wasn’t too busy although it was already starting to get busy. There are several eateries here with various options. It’s pricey but not outrageous. Most of the zoo is in a loop path but some paths aren’t marked when it splits. The animals’ habitats are large and it made it a bit hard to see them if at all. We couldn’t seem to see the gorillas from any angle, they must’ve been hiding. It also gets cold here during fall-winter since most of the zoo is shaded so bring a jacket. There are several large playgrounds for kids. We spent 3.5 hours here. Overall a typical, nice zoo.
A small, but beautiful zoo. It is one of the prettiest zoos i have visited. The animal areas are large and the animals seem to have plenty of space to hide if they want. The staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to know a lot about the animals.
Today was our first time in Gaia zoo and I can tell u honestly we are thinking (my family)to buy year tickets. It was phenomenal,we enjoyed whole day,the space, animals I ADORE RHINO,Dinodome and everything.I tried burger menu and hamby was really really good.I recommend for everyb to go there, chill and relax 👍
Well maintained zoo.The many plants, trees, flowers contribute very well to the experience.Good explanation tables for the animals.Multiple bars and toilets available.
Big park where the animals are kept in very spacious compartments. This results in a harder time to spot the actual animals, but is a good thing if you ask me. Due to covid there is a temporary "one-way" route on some parts (see photo), but overall very well organized. Had fun here :)
Absolutely brilliant! Lots of fun for all ages! I would love to go back!Animals there looked happy and content, they had space and it was clean and well maintained! Highly recommend!
Wonderful experience, we had the rain forest guided tour and it was nice having someone giving us facts about the animals we got to see. I also love how much food there is to choose from! I absolutely recommend this place for anyone who loves animals, views and food.
Very nice park, Ive enjoyed it alot. If its not too busy you can see it in 4 hours. I loved everything about it. The animals have enough space and a very beautiful habitat. Its very peaceful to walk in this zoo. The food was also very good and not too expensive. Friendly staff and you can choose the way you wanna go on the route. I recommend this zoo!
Real nice zoo with a lot of different enimals. The setup is done is such way that little children can also have good look at the enimals. Also a shout out for the covid measurement the park applied. The measurement are not disturbing the fun. Walking directions and hand sanitizers applied and reservation for the entrance.
We took my sisters here. Well organised especially in this time. Did not spoil the day and still safe. Plenty of play areas for the kids en route. A lovely day
I never visited this zoo before , it’s not that old, great setup, friendly staff, I’ve seen animals that I never seen before . Well maintained park. I definitely will visit this zoo again when I’m around
Very nice zoo, worth a visit. Not very large but nicely landscaped which makes for a good 3-4 hour entertainment. If with kids, one can easily spent a day as theres several playgrounds and attractions as well. Most animals youd expect in a zoo are present. No elephants, tigers though and not too many aquatic animals.Food and drinks are reasonably priced. All in all a nice outing for most age groups.
Good size zoo. The enclosures were well maintained and spacious. Didnt eat there and looked like off season but the quietness around the zoo made it peaceful and enjoyable with the animals not hidden away. Reasonably priced
Very animal-centered zoo. This place gets it — excellent value for money. It s a great way to spend a day outside. Most animals can also be viewed in the night enclosures. The restaurant is the only thing that feels a little out of place. Everything is beautiful; the restaurant is crowded and noisy. I did enjoy a perfect glass of wine at the flamingo enclosure — an excellent location for a drink.
Large zoo with lots of space for the animals, and some species you havent seen before. Elephants are missing but the other big favorites make up for it and the settings are stunning.
Excellent zoo with a wide variety of animals distributed in three things (taiga, savanna, and rainforest). Plenty of play areas for children and good food at reasonable prices. Tip: dont forget a parking ticket before returning to your car.
Loved seeing all the animals in large habitats. I hadnt been to a zoo in a long time because of the way the animals were kept in small spaces but Gaiazoo is a game changer in this regard. They truly seem to respect the animals and try to provide natural habitats where they can.
Had a great day at GaiaZoo. Not overwhelmingly busy even though we were there on a Saturday. Not a very big zoo, but plenty of animals and well kept. Will definitely come back again!
Great zoo, enclosures for the animals are very big and they look happy and well taken care of. Was a joy to see them behaving naturally, not nervously walking around in the same pattern like you see at most zoos. Moreover, there is lots to do and see for kids (playgrounds, information standsand for adults of course. Parking as well as entrance not expensive at all. We had a great time there.
The best zoo I have ever visited! Such a vast variety of animals and they are all very well looked after. The most economic and wise choice if you live here is to purchase the annual ticket, as it pays for itself on just 3 visits!
Beautiful maintained zoo. The animals are well cared for. There are also a lot of extra childerns activities such as an indoor playground (dino dome), outdoor playgrounds, a parcours with robes and a mini zoo where you can walk among little animals (goats, ducks).
