The staff is great! Burgers are awesome and the sweet potato fries are the best. So glad they opened a location on the south side.

Delicious!! Really good clean grass fed burgers, fries were hot and fresh. They even will cook an unseasoned patty to-go for your dog. Dog friendly.Dogs allowed on the outdoor patio.

Green chili burger is amazing 🍔. Price is a bit on the higher side given that the patty is 1/4 lb (you’ll need double patty to enjoy the burger). Other than that it tasted great & fresh.

The food was amazing! My group had a vegan bowl, and cheeseburgers.The sweet potato fries are to die for! Yummy...the only downfall, the fountain drinks are less than undesirable. Not sure if its a carbonation issue or syrup issue.Id come back again when in town!

Food was good. I gave a 4 stars because I was not fully blown over as a big guy. For people slimmer around the waist may enjoy it more. There also seem to be no kids menu. We ordered 2 bacon cheddar with fries, a plain cheeseburger w/ fries, and 2 drinks total out to 50+ dollars.

My husband and I had lunch at Grassburger yesterday. The burgers were incredible as were the sweet potato fries. The service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Great food. A casual place with an old fashioned decor. Environmentally friendly, they encourage recycling.

The person working at the cash register was really rude, for seemingly no reason. She was really short with me and my partner and had an attitude. Im usually understanding about things, but it just soured the experience as a whole. On a more positive note, the food was good at least.

Came in around 3:00p on Labor Day, when it was about 90⁰ in Durango off Main. Not sure if I brought my family on a bad day, but heres my take.Pros: Food was tasty. We enjoyed the burgers, fries, and dipping sauces. Its definitely better than most fast casual burger joints Ive been to. The beef was tasty and the green chili ranch was great!Cons: While I liked the music, Grassburger played it very loudly inside. Loud enough that my 11 year old daughter and my wife were not OK sitting inside. There are maybe 10 tables outside and most of them were really dirty, as if they hadnt been wiped down all day. It seemed like the air was trapped under the outdoor cover, so it was stale and hot. Id recommend they get a fan for those hot days.The young lady who took my order at the register wasnt initially rude or nice, literally just doing her job. She was also the one who brought out our food and it was the same. She asked whos food was whos, we said thank you, and she walked off saying nothing.I might order online for take out, but I definitely wont be eating in again.Update: Ate nothing out of the ordinary, other than Grassburger. Was violently ill all night.

Great stop for quick burgers. Family and dog friendly. They even have a small play/toy area for kiddos. The chipotle mayo sauce is good but a bit too spicy for our kiddos. Would def recommend. Yummy Durango soda selection too. Very nice staff!

Hands down my favorite place to get a great burger. I’ve eaten at burger joints all across the country, but grassburger still sets the bar for me. I spend the same money here as any other fast food restaurant, but get much better service and gourmet food. The classic grassburger is definitely the best, but you can’t go wrong with any of their menu options. The fries are better than anywhere I’ve had. They also offer Zuberfizz sodas, which is a Durango favorite. Even when they’re slammed, I’m still served in a reasonable time. Outdoor seating is comfortable year round. Very clean and sanitary.

Great vegan burger or bowl option! Ive had the burger on previous trip to Durango. This trip I went back before and after a 6 days long backpacking trip. No problem finishing the bowl & fries after 40 miles in the wilderness 😁🥾😎Durango is awesome and great to have an option that accommodates vegan for quick casual burgers.

Really good burger and great pop! Cool restaurant with great food. I got my food fairly quick and the staff was nice and helpful as well. I got the bacon cheddar burger with fries. The burger had great taste the only thing I would have done differently is not get the chipotle mayo I just wasnt a fan of it, it wasnt bad just not my style. Other than that the fries were great and the pop was good too, they had a bunch of different pops that you dont normally see. Overall good food and I would recommend stopping by!

Today I made a last-minute decision to drive to Durango…of which I’ve never been. In looking to find a bite to eat, I was intrigued by Grassburger.The staff were working incredibly hard to get food out to people as quickly as possible.I had a bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries that were absolutely amazing. To be honest I don’t think I’ve ever had fries that were that hot and delicious. Usually by the time they reach the table they’re lukewarm but not here. Everything tasted fresh.The one critique I’ve seen on other reviews is the portion size and price. Please folks, pay no attention to them. There’s a clear desire for people to indulge in delicious food while still being conscious of their health and ultimately how they fuel their body. Grassburger provides a nutritious and health-conscious menu. I was so excited to have a delicious meal, feel that my appetite was completely satisfied, and not have that awful feeling of being stuffed. If you want to consciously eat substantially more than your body needs, there are plenty of other places for that style of consumption.Oh, and by the way, the prices are incredibly reasonable. I’m not sure where these naysayers are typically frequenting (maybe the dollar menu?but in most places, food like this would hover around $16-18; not here.If you get the chance, stop on in! You won’t be disappointed.

Another clean plate. Grassburger’s philosophy of grass-fed beef delivered on taste. Not greasy but juicy burger. Had the bacon cheddar burger with fries. Fries were seasoned perfectly. Ordered the Green chile grass burger in a combo, the burger was a bit bland, could have used more seasoning. The fries were nicely salted and crisp. Their cola fountain drink was quite sweet. The place seemed a little bit too hyped up for what their food is like, therefore the stars as I would have expected better in downtown Durango.

My new favorite stop in Durango! We ordered our food and it was out in no time! It was very good! They forgot my fries but brought them out probably 15 seconds after I asked! Good quick and professional!

So… Heres how it went…A group of 5 showed up a solid 20 minutes before closing, met by the staff begrudgingly. Repeated to each part of our group that closing was in 10 minutes. Literally, each individual ordered food that was paid for and not delivered. And when the food they decided to make was actually delivered, it was in a to-go bag indirectly or passive aggressively asking us to leave. Personally, I paid $23 for a quinoa burger bowl and can of beer – fries that were never delivered. All this epitomizing the current inflationary trend and inability to acquire even reasonable quality employees – at least half a dozen teenagers standing behind the counter. This place has a moniker of high quality fast food – not at all a happy meal!!Local person – entirely disappointed!

Would love to recommend Grassburger as I’ve been enjoying it for years - but I can’t recommend it when I spend 50$ on dinner for 2, and almost every part of the order was wrong, the fries were stale and cold, and there was no silverware or napkins. This is the 3rd time in a row that Grassburger has completely dropped the ball & I’m pretty upset as it was one of my favorite places in town to eat. I would expect for 50$ I wouldn’t have to check every part of the order before I leave the store but I guess I was wrong.I’ve also called and left a message for management, on the 2nd bad experience, and no call back or apology.

The food was good, but the music in the dining area was WAY TOO LOUD!!!! Also, one of us ordered a turkey burger and was handed a beef burger instead. The menu was a bit confusing, as the options werent shown in an easy-to-use way. Suggestion for menu:Choose your patty - Beef, Turkey, Black Bean.Cheese (add $1- Cheddar, Pepper Jack, Swiss.Extras (add $1 each- Bacon, Mushrooms, Green Chilis.

Absolutely lousy service. The burgers are good and during covid they had good take out but now Ive gone twice where they NEVER bring the order to the curb. And the phone goes to voicemail. So I go in to get my order, both times, and the staff is just standing there chatting with each other. Food was cold. Im not going back.

Be careful ordering from this place, as metal pieces from their cookware might end up in your burger. My grassburger came with a small metal chip from the spatula they used, luckily I didnt swallow it or I couldve had a big problem. The worst part is the customer service was so terrible I didnt even get an apology. They just remade the burger (I didnt want or ask for another oneand left back behind the counter. And this is all after getting my initial order wrong as well. I asked for 3 burgers, one of which without tomatoes, and instead got 4, one without tomatoes. Order here at your own risk, as the service is astoundingly bad. Theres plenty of better places to eat in Durango, dont go here. Honestly, one star is quite generous, this place deserves 0 stars.Edit after the owners reply:Why? Are you going to refund the order? I sure doubt it. Theres literally nothing else you could do for me. Im not looking for any coupons or free meals as Im definitely never returning the place where they put a piece of sharp metal in my burger. And frankly, an apology a whole day after the fact is pretty worthless as well. I just want anybody planning on eating here to know they could be saving themselves thousands in medical bills and a trip to the hospital if they just eat somewhere else, preferably somewhere where the employees are properly trained and the cookware/utensils are properly taken care of and managed. These things dont just accidentally happen; quality and well maintained spatulas dont just shatter and chip so easily that you dont notice. This is a clear sign of a lack of management and maintenance in the kitchen. I dread wondering what else goes on back there.

First time I went in there was a 30 minute wait somehow. Second visit was the charm to get food. It was a solid burger and pretty good fries music was great.

The meat on this burger is indeed good. The toppings for the burger were limited and not very fresh. Staff was not friendly or helpful. For this price ( higher than expectedwere directed to " bus your table".

Food was delicious, the only downside is how expensive it is. We got the mushroom Swiss burger, the cheddar burger, sweet potato fries and the black cherry shake. All were very tasty, personally I preferred the cheddar, only because it was a little saltier. The black cherry shake was the only thing that was disappointing, wife thought that it was just a vanilla shake.

I wasn’t wanting a burger, but I was overruled. Thank goodness I was! The line was a bit long, but still went fast. We had just filled our drinks and sat down when our food arrived! We’re talking like within 5 minutes of ordering, our food was delivered. I had a Black Bean burger (completely recommend to anyone, as I’m not veganand it was amazing. The rest of the table had other types of burgers and there was not a plate that had a crumb left! The prices are reasonable for a burger place, but for the taste? This place is downright cheap! I have had burgers that are almost three times the price that don’t even close to flavor of these burgers!

My wife ordered a burger with a gluten free bun ($2 upchargethat ended up being toasted too long and was burnt. We sent it back to get fixed, only to have the "fixed" bun delivered charred black. She gave up at that point and just ate it without the bun. The table next to us also had to send their burger back because it was wrong. We likely wont be going back to this place if they dont pay enough attention to detail when you send something back to get fixed that they dont even make sure to get it right the second time. Very disappointed based on how many good reviews this place has.

Ordered 2 double, bacon, cheddar burgers yo go, got them home and patties on both burgers were so well done I couldnt even chew mine without some kind of drink to get it down. 37$ for 2 burnt burgers.Sorry, but its pretty disappointing when I know what their burgers are supposed to be like.

Portions were small and website showed a kids menu but when you order online there’s no option to order from it. When you call the number it’s automated and no one ever answers the phone when you ask to speak with a real person. We picked up our food after doing the online order and they forgot to put in the fries so we had to go back for them. Got to our hotel and opened the burger bowl and they forgot the extra patty we ordered for our child. Called the number for the restaurant again and attempted to talk to someone but again no one answered so I left a voicemail. It over a week later and still no call back. If you get takeout make sure you open everything in front of them.UpdateAfter leaving this review I was contacted and things were made right. It was nice to know that the founder cares about customers. I’m not changing my review but adding to it so others know the process if they aren’t satisfied or have an experience like I did.

Came here for lunch one day and enjoyed our food. We had the cheddar burger, fries, and chocolate shake. I probably wouldn’t order the shake again because the Hershey’s syrup was overpowering. Burger was delicious and so were the fries! Service was great, cashier was very nice, and food came out quickly, despite how busy they were. Would definitely eat here again!

The guy who took our order forgot to put our ticket in the system. We waited an hour to get 2 burgers. I asked if we got forgotten about after I watched a party of 8 & 4 other to-go orders get their food before we did but the staffs response was unapologetic and rude. A simple apology would have been nice instead of making multiple excuses for their mistake. Poor customer service & time management. The food was yummy but not worth the wait or service.

Quite good burger joint, including the black bean burger. Was nice to have windows open to the deck. My only complaint - and it may be just me - is that everything tasted over-salted.

The burgers and fries were great! I love that they had soda sweetened with pure cane sugar and not corn syrup. They even had fresh lemonade however, it was to sweet. Good but sweet. The employees were nice and helpful also. Definitely try them!!

We ordered takeout via their online order system. We got the Mushroom Swiss Burger, Green Chile Grass Bowl, 2 french fries and a Strawberry Shake to share. We really enjoyed our meals. The chipotle sauce is really good.

wow this is a local favorite and they do have good food service can be long and frustrating at times. your food will take forever to get out to you even though it’s just a burger, havent been here in a while but I do know that every time I go back nothings changed really. They really do have a good fries though and good meat so if you’re looking for clean meat highly recommend. it is also a touch pricey though

Neat little place with some character to it. When we showed up it was kinda empty but it progressively got busier. A bit disappointed with the portions. We were a group of 12 and most of all of our fries were cold. A menu items was missing. Their website offered chicken but there was none. I had the green chilli Jack burger and it was good!Bathrooms are unisex, so be prepared. Sundays parking is free in downtown!

$70 for 4 cheese burgers with fries and a drink. Bus your own tables. Thats $18 a piece. I can’t imagine how it could be worth it. Fries are undercooked. Portions are small. Hard to be impressed.

Rave reviews and milkshakes made us think this might be a new old fashioned burger joint, so decided to give it a try. Burgers were on the smallish side, but juicy, tasty, and well-made. Not the best weve had by far, but definitely above passable. The fries, on the other hand, were thin, crisp, greasy, served in a small cardboard boat, and on the whole disappointing. Worse, ketchup was provided in those nasty 50 million year shelflife aluminum packets. Dear Grassburger: Ketchup in packets designed to last for discovery by archaeologists a million or so years hence is not ketchup. If youre concerned about the quality of your burgers, then be equally concerned about the quality of your fries and condiments. So in short, Durango Grassburger is nothing to write home about from a culinary standpoint. Its more of a fast food joint with slightly better burgers. But weve had better burgers fries (and ketchupfrom a food truck back home. Our advice, from a former restauranteur, is "Make it count: Step up your game and deliver the whole package."In response to reply from owner about "award-winning fries." Yes, we live in an era when awards are given to preschoolers for going from daycare to kindergarten, so awards are at least as subjective as taste. But in the food world taste texture and the other elements that make a good product distinguishable from a lackluster one are still In play. Consider all the "award winning" chefs who are regularly eliminated from competition for lackluster performance. We will just have to agree to disagree. The product we received at your establishment was as described.

I have celiac and so appreciate this place! They are ultra careful not to cross contaminate so I’ve never gotten sick! The non-dairy shakes are yummy! The staff are all super friendly and helpful! Will continue to eat here every time we come to dine in Durango!

These were very tasty burgers the fries were also pretty good. If were ever in Durango The sodas were amazing I would go back and eat here for sure but, f Im in New Mexico I would rather have Blakes Lottaburger. Just saying.

So ordered a burger and Fry and a beer. Everything with the food was great. Left a nice tip. (If can post receipt, will show left 50 percent, I work off tips...They were busy, had to wait a minute to order. No issues. Waiter brought food, said enjoy and left. Ketchup for fries would have been great; or do you need anything else before not caring and walking away. You guys were busy, Ill be back. 5 stars if staff was cool. Would love 2 more beers before leaving. Lets see if staff asks.

With the pandemic, this was our first trip out of our area to Durango. We been to this location multiple times and had great service and good quality. However this time the burgers were delicious, as always! But the fries this trip were so crunchy and hard it could chip a tooth. We enjoyed the burger and discarded the fries into the trash 🗑

Delicious! The burgers are huge, full of flavor & I had peace at mind knowing it was clean grass fed meat. The fries were perfect too. We sat outside on the covered patio while it snowed!
