Retail chain specialising in camping gear, tents, outdoor clothing and footwear.
Always love a wonder round Go the guys on the bike service are great
Superb value for money as always. Wide range of equestrian products along side everything you need for a great day in the outdoors.
Go outdoors was easily located and easy to park as the car park is a good size. There is disabled parking. The store itself is very well spaced out and neat. I went to buy a pair of hiking boots which I had not much knowledge of. I asked a member of staff for some info on the best boots for hiking. The staff member went over and above to not only get the best for my hike but educated me on how to take care and how maximize usage. All in all, cannot fault the place. Great shop great staff
Lots of free parking. Lots of great offers. Helpful staff. Will be back.
Johnny in the fishing department is really a big help
Good variety of hiking boots combined with solid expertise of Ross and Chloe made our shopping experience smoother than anticipated. Thank you!
Large store with vast choice of outdoor clothing, shoes and boots, fishing equipment and camping gear.
Chloe C very helpful and cheery. Sale had some good deals
Staff are excellent, building looks run down and needs a makeover
Very big store with a lot of options, for, well, everything outdoor. Lots of space to also see a lot of the tents already set up, even the bigger ones. Knowledgeable staff who are very friendly to boot and very willing to help out tourists who arent from the area. Club prices prominently displayed instead of actual prices can be a hit confusing if youre not looking out for it and the in-store radio needs some speaker cabling checked (very noticeable buzzbut otherwise the shopping experience here is amazing.
Stellar service from Cammie today, but the five stars are for the whole store.I go to Coatbridge for all my hiking and camping equipment, and always have a great experience.Everyone in the team are friendly, dynamic and extremely knowledgeable on the impressive array of products.Along with the membership card, discount and price match - its five stars every day!
All you can possibly need for the outdoors. Good selection, good offers and great staff
Brilliant shop for outdoor stuff. Brilliant service from Ellidh who helped me get a pair of Scrapa boots for my big size 13 feet.
The shop itself is great, everything you will ever need for camping under one roof. The staff are really fantastic, so helpful and knowledgeable.BUT.......Please display the ACTUAL PRICE of your goods for non membership cardholders more clearly.Having said that, if you pay a fiver you get top notch camping equipment and clothing at unbeatable prices for a year.I spent £108 today which included the membership fee, and the cheapest I could get the same items for anywhere else was £186, so the savings are really very significant.Overall, a very good shopping experience.
Great selection got what I was after could spend hours walking around better to know what your in for
Really helpful and patient team when searching for a bike for my son. Good price. Now I want a new bike too!
I got what I needed. I took my dog. The dog bowls by the door , one dry and the other filthy dirty with insects. Why not check the dog bowls when you check the customer toilets.
Huge thanks to Craig for helping me and Jenny get our climbing gear sorted! Really helpful, knowledgeable and a genuine pleasure to meet. Were so happy with the fit of our new climbing shoes. We will definitely be back to grab some rope kit once we are ready!
Great customer service. Friendly staff. Huge selection of accessories
My Sevylor Tahiti Plus inflatable Kayak I got at GoOutdoors u really need to buy an additional Skeg for stable tracking in the water sadly not available in store but is at competition online ie paddlestore online
Fantastic range of items from car tools to flashlights. Everything you need for outdoor activities and camping. £5 membership was a good send
We had an extremely helpful girl help us today she was very knowledgeable and could not help us enough!! Price still a little expensive but what we bought was reasonable priced.
Bought an own brand “top of the range” tent for a motorcycle camping trip in the North. Tent lasted 3 days then the poles bent out of shape. Tried to get them replaced under warranty - poles not covered - tried to charge me £8 a single pole for replacement that was not aluminium.Called customer service and store to be branded a liar from Ross who proclaims that he is the assistant store manager with years of experience in tent manufacturing. Could hear him chuckling in the background as he went to hang up the phone.Customer services couldn’t help even after I said I would pay for a new set of tent specific poles. Said I had to buy a complete new tent. The Edinburgh store service is far superior.Ross - if you’re reading this pal, you need a wake up call and put in for some customer service training, your attitude stinks.
Excellent outdoor shop that sells everything for outdoor pursuits at a very good price. Also very helpful and informative staff.
Bought a discount card on way to store, arrived ,picked up item I wanted then went to pay for it.They said because they hadnt processed the card I didnt get the discount ,even though there was no mention of this when I bought it !!!Cheeky madam at the till said " listen, you have two choices you can either go and come back when card arrives or pay the RRP" I said but ove paid for the discount card, showed the conformation email and welcome to go outdoors email.Left shop and didnt buy anything.Absolutely shocking customer serviceThey saw Id bought the card and wouldnt honour it and expected me to pay RRP or go away and come back.Is this REALLY the kind of service you promote???
Have always had good dealings with go. Staff are always very helpful, had to return an item and Chloe on till was great. Product was changed and left a happy shopper.
So cant really fault this place, staff are always really helpful, if you get in early when stock arrives you have a good chance of getting the size you want of something, good selection of gear and you can get some really good deals with the membership card. What I would suggest is always looking online for a price comparison for the really expensive items but mainly you can catch some good discounts here and the convenience of having a large stock under one roof
I visited go on Friday and my partner collapsed. I cannot praise the staff enough for their support. They phoned the ambulance and stayed on the line.Made sure I was okay.I cannot thank them enough.
I visited GO Coatbridge to look at what was available in gents wide fitting walking boots, with my daughter. We were greeted by Karen who quickly assessed the style and size I needed. Im not one for buying footwear in a hurry as I prefer to take my time trying on various styles and sizes until I find the footwear that fits me the best - maybe around 30 - 40 minutes, the footwear assistants nightmare customer! Karen exhibited much patience and offered good sound advice during our visit. This culminated in me purchasing a pair of Scarpa Gtx boots, plusė my daughter got fitted out with a pair of Berghaus Supalites. A very stress free and pleasant experience helped by a very patient, helpful and knowledgeable Karen. Id have no hesitation in recommending Karen and the GO Outdoors store to anyone requiring help and advice when contemplating the purchase of outdoor footwear. GO have a very good range of footwear to choose from at affordable prices. They also operate a price comparison policy, the details of which are to be found in their website. I took the time to compare the prices I was charged, against competitors on the internet and went back to the store two days later to highlight the lower prices to a staff member. After validating my findings, I had £103 refunded under the GO Outdoors Price Comparison Policy. Two able and pleasant members of staff, Kiera and Maryam, facilitated the price comparison refund speedily and competently. You cant get better than that. GO will be my "place to go" when looking to purchase future outdoor clothing or footwear.
Called up to set an item aside. The guy puts it out and by the time I arrived 10minutes later it had gone. Plus the guy wasn’t to be found. He should of put it aside. Hopeless customer service. Waste of time driving.
Excellent all-in-one store for outdoor gear. Many staff are new, but ask for help and youll get incredible customer assistance (particularly if its Amos)Get the £5 member card and get massive discounts as well.Well worth it.
Poor service. Waited at the front of the queue for 10 minutes. Other queue had 6 people go through while I waited. Would still have been waiting if I hadnt heard the checkout assistant say to a colleague her checkout was currently closed. Eventually got served at another counter.
Went in for a leisure battery, staff very helpful, as sizes werent stated online, brought few out for us to measure before purchase, great service
Walked in on an off chance looking for a Hampton 4 groundsheet, was looking around while my partner went to the desk to ask if they had any in stock. Neither of the male or female store assistants even bothered to help my partner, they didnt check any computers for stock or even look on the shelves. The male worker even said they have no Hampton hi gear accessories at all in the shop. While this was going on I was looking around the shop and saw a shelf with some items that looked like groundsheets being blocked by pop up tents, I moved some of the tents and noticed about a dozen Hampton 6 groundsheets and half a dozen Hampton 4 groundsheets. I got what I needed and walked over to my partner who was still at the tills being told they didnt have any at all. As soon as I showed up the young male assistant walked away sheepishly. Think the staff need better training to actually help the customers otherwise they will lose business.
Almost exelent shop. You can find almost everything you need. So 4 stars not 5 just becouse that ALMOST. A little bit nonsense that you need to have discount card otherwise you will pay way more for everything thant in other shops. Thay say that this is discount with card, but if you check for prices in the internet there are same prices everywhere else without any cards. But all together nice shop
They have a great choice of camping equipment and ideal for first time campers. I always go for one thing and walk out many pounds lighter because of the great deals 🤣🤣👍
Visited the store today fishing section hasImproved allot! This is something Coatbridge/Airdrie has needed for quite a while now and really good to see will be shopping here more often.
Decent selection of gear, but quite random if youll find your size. Would have given it 4 stars but the prices on some of the stuff I bought jumped up when they were ran through the checkout. Had to go and take photos of the price on the rack to get my refund. Lass on the till was nonplussed, but couldt fault her as it must be a thankless job. Although since I thanked her thats nonsense.
Checked online for stock for an item before travelling to the store and made the journey on the basis that I would be able to purchase it.When I got there, there were none either on display or in stores. The staff member advised that systems can be up to 48hrs pit of date.I left empty handed.I really wanted to buy this item from a bricks and mortar store. It’s part of how we get back to normal and stop depending on deliveries and the monopolies of online only stores. (No names required...)But of you can’t get past the hurdle of accurate live stock for an item, you’ve already lost.I’m afraid I won’t be back and that’s a real shame.
Great place to shop with everything you need for outdoor pursuits. Includes shoes, clothing, tents etc. Bought a pair of walking shoes with the help of a member of staff. Lady who helped with shoes and young lady on till both friendly and helpful.
Absolutely atrocious customer services, they couldnt even tell me if Coatbridge store was still open or if it was permanently closed. I booked a click and collect, they never got back to me, I called the store which rang out, then called the HQ number, they asked what the post code was for the store I had asked for click and collect from, yes I am aware this is easy to get, but it should not be something I have to get they should know their own stores post codes, I was told o would be emailed which never happened. I had to call back and due to the service I cancelled my order. Will not be ordering from here again.
Good quality products at good prices. But the cashiers are needing a training day session at Aldis (service is too slow). Saying that Im an impatient old git.
Breaching the UK consumer contracts regulations. I tried to amend an order 5 minutes after it was placed as the delivery address was slightly wrong. I was told that It would not be possible to do that or to cancel the order as I had already placed it. UK law says I can cancel immediately after ordering online or 14 days after receiving the goods I did the first option by trying to cancel immediately. I was told no which is a breach of UK regulations. Long story short I have been told the only was I might get my goods is if they can get the courier to return before being delivered. If it does get delivered to the wrong address I have been told it will be me thats out of pocket. I dont understand how this can be just, I tried to cancel the order immediately after it was placed. I emailed the care team and called the advisor as the welcome email said to do if I need to cancel or amend my order. Yet none of those things were achieved.
My visit today was with the intention of buying some walking boots, however I walked out the shop after a staff member complained loudly to a colleague that people were just browsing and that wasnt really allowed. Unfortunately Ive found it near impossible to be able to choose which hiking boots to try on without "browsing" the selection available first. Just rude.
Not very well organised. We were looking for kids waterproof clothes and the sizes on the hangers did not match up with the items. Items were well overpriced for what they were. Going to stick with online shopping as I can get what I want at a price I want to pay...
There should be more staff on the floor. I had to spend 10 minutes looking for an employee for advice. Young lad at the checkout was brilliant though, great customer care. Overall, great store.
The poorly maintained carpark makes for a bad impression. Often items will show as stock online but out of stock when you go in-store. To get the label price you have to buy a discount card which offers a discount off an overinflated price so I never felt I ever had a good deal. Whilst one or two off of the staff seen fine many of them arent overly helpful.
Not good, website said the boots I wanted were in stock at my nearest shop, got to Gooutdoors shop and they were not in stock. Still the same few sizes in jackets and trousers from my last visit 2 weeks ago. I feel the shop is getting worse.
Knockout discount on the item I wanted. Loads of stock in the huge store so plenty of choice for all, mens, womens & kids. Dont really understand the discount card set-up?!? Though I think the discount is the only reason I would shop there.Only downside was poor service from staff. To be fair I think they had a big delivery to sort through plus I dont like waiting... :(
Great selection of stock with great prices - provided you have a discount card, which is only £5 and is valid for one year. Very helpful and approachable staff who are also very knowledgeable. Overall a great store for all of your outdoor needs.
