GG's place LLC in Mason City

Cant say I payed much attention to the "atmosphere" at GGs as we ate here for lunch at work most days for about a month, but the food was phenomenal. The Reuben was my go to and to this day I have not had another nearly as amazing. Perfect pricing per portions, timely service, and rustic antiques decorate the spare room in the place. Its a beautiful little small town Iowa eatery Im glad to have given service too. Only bust I can find is that it isnt open Mondays. But quality overrules quantity at GGs and if you dont believe me youll have to try it out yourself

Gigi‘s place in Nora Springs Iowa. Very friendly. Mike (dad, owner, cookand Cassidy (Daughter, server, support staffWe’re on deck for our visit, today. Pork tenderloin with fries, for me. Hard to give you a real perspective on the bartender. It’s not a real pork tender if it doesn’t hang off the bun. But this one stuck out off each end of the bun the same size as the sandwich itself!!, Taco, Coke for my mom. very pleasant time. Lots of Northsprings memorabilia. Mike and Cassidy both very nice and conversational.

I ordered two breaded tenderloins to go. Also an order of cheese curds and a coke while I waited. Menu says tenderloins comes with pickles and onions and I added lettuce and tomato. Wait time was fine, they brought my food, I had to ask for the coke. Got home, tenderloins had nothing on them, plain on a bun. Tender loins were mediocre.

First time there, and it was great!

Amazing homemade alfredo sauce. You can really taste the rich homemade flavor. Very big helping and so filling. The loaded fries had peppers..tomatoes bacon and cheese. Also very good. Def. Recommend the small town eats. Great service as well very friendly environment and hospitality.

This is a great small town restaurant. There were 6 of us. Each person said their good was delicious.

Mike & Karla & all their staff are very friendly! And the food is SOOO DELICIOUS! You never go away hungry! We love to eat there!

Had a great time dining here for lunch. The staff were friendly and came to take my order quickly. The food came out about ten to fifteen minutes after I ordered. My Bacon Cheeseburger was really good and came with onions, pickles and lettuce on it. Absolutely loved the place. The only bad thing I can say is that the booths sit low, other than that, I will most likely come back again.

Out of the Valentines Day Lobster supper by 5:30 pm . After calling ahead from Mason City at 5 . The cod I had instead had no flavor except stale fish. The Greek spaghetti tasted strongly of vinegar. Absolutely horrible meal. They were half empty yet out of food long before the rush even hit. I do not recommend this place. Service was slow besides. One star is too much.

There was hardly anyone here and service was very slow. For a party of 7 it took well over half an hour for the foodnto arrive. When we sat down, I ordered 3 orders of cheese balls. After the food finally arrived, we asked where the cheese balls were and the server said "I heard you talk about cheese balls but didnt know you wanted any". Apparently asking for 3 orders doesnt count as actually ordering them. I had the Ruben. It had a good amount of meat but was otherwise tasteless and lacked cheese. I had asked for extra dressing on the side and was given 2 little plastic cups of a very bland version of thousand island. I heard the food was really good but unfortunately my order wasnt.

Excellent waitress, attentive while pretty darn busy at lunch hour. Food came out pretty quickly and was amazing.Homemade gravy and mashed potatoes were heaven. The roast beef flavorful and not dried out. Plenty of food on the plate.My dad had that amazing looking Cheese Nugget Burger with a homemade sauce. He loved it. Cooked just right. Very big burger and the nuggets also had its own homemade breading. Darn good. Definitely worth the short trip from Mason City. A new favourite place to eat.

GGs has great service, is friendly to all (even out of town folk), and in my handful of visits, Ive never had anything I wouldnt order again. Prices are incredibly fair.

It got my dad and I sick. Thankfully nothing severe but we will never be back. The waiter seemed ok but we hardly saw them so no real opinion on the staff just the horrible food...

This place honestly has the best home cooked food in this area...make the drive I promise the food and service are worth it. large portions and good prices.....the BLT is amazing!

The place is on the small side. They had salad bar with meal. I had their ribs, but not my favorite the way they were cooked. Wheelchair access is a little hard with 2 doors to go through. Restroom looked okay for wheelchair. Service was friendly.

Perfect fries! GG’s burger was fantastic! I’m from out of town and was glad we gave GG’s a shot! Don’t be fooled by the simple looking front. Inside is a warm, tasty meal!

❤ SERIOUSLY worth a detour for spectacular burgers and ice cream!The GGs Cheese Curd Burger with SPECIAL SAUCE was to die for. Then Ive tried PB in burgers at other places, but this time I was happily impressed with the GGs burger with jalapenos, peanut butter, bacon, & onion rings on it!!! Yep, it was amazing! 🤗To top it off, they have ice cream cones too. Yum!Wish we were able to checkout breakfast and dinner now too! Well be back any time were traveling anywhere near!
