GFC in Emerald

Stopped there before refuelling .Ordered sweet-potato chips and fish ,that was the best we had.Will definitely stop there again when travelling through Emerald. Big Thanks

Not the best fish n chips in town,

NO NO NO Stay away.Wednesday night, a little quiet. I wanted a Steak Burger but I was told "Sorry, we have not been able to get steak. Its very rare around here".Thinking to myself, thats a bit weird, I ordered a Chicken Burger instead which comes with Chips. Total cost for the Chicken Burger and chips was $19.45 + $1.95 for a small gravy.When the food came, the gravy container was 1/2 full (yet all the others in the bay marie were full).Ate the food there and at the end asked for a Napkin. The reply was they had also run out of napkins, and I thought, why not take a quick walk a block down to the local IGA and buy some?)I think the store is struggling to make ends meet if they cant afford the meat and 200 napkins for roughly $2 from the shops. I only went there as it was close to the Motel, but it was a mistake, and not one Ill make again.

Average meal. Bacon was a bit chewy and tasted like plastic. Long time to cook as well.

We had barramundi, chips and calamari. Very yummy. Loved the chips.

My partner and I decided to go in to get lunch today roughly around 11:30. We ordered a chicken burger, small chips and a lunch pack. Which must have been misheard for a dinner pack, which I’m not gonna complain about because I had gotten a extra piece of chicken. We had received the chicken burger first and was told that the dinner pack was handed out to a different customer and was scratch off the docket. Over 10 mins later we received the dinner pack, as we were waiting the manager had been serving customers while having a conversation with someone on loud speaker and they were arguing about how there were 100s of orders and he was wondering how long this person was gonna be. Which for a business is very embarrassing to witness especially being paying customers present and then manager preceded to tell me and my partner that we didn’t order a small chips to go with the chicken burger because they weren’t a deal even though we had ordered it separately and he even had our receipt in his hand but it took him a few goes to realise that we had ordered the small chips. We had to wait another 10 mins to receive the small chips. Overall my partner and I will not be returning to GFC Because the overall experience was absolutely dreadful.

I wont go back.Really cant be bothered with a review.Most expensive in emerald.Long wait.Small serve.Customer service extremely ordinary.Chicken/yuck/over pricedOver all food rated by partner/ ordinaryTip save your money and go elsewhere.

Food was good quality, portions a bit small though for the price

We ordered a Veggie Burger, and a piece of crumbed Red Emperor and Chips. All very fresh and delicious. The fish was succulent and cooked to perfection. The veggie burger had loads of vege in the paddy, and the salad was fresh. Chips were golden, crisp and amazing.These guys were the only place open early Sunday afternoon when we arrived in town. The owner advised me that the burger special came with chips and a can of drink. Very happy with our meal.

Have the Best Beef Jerkys in town.

Nice food but a bit slow

Pretty good fish but $17 for a burger that wasnt worth the price.Would go back but probably give the burgers a miss!

Ordered battered Mackerel, battered sav, chips and a kids burger. The burger was the only thing that wasnt like cardboard. I expect fish and chips to be frozen, but you have to batter the fish and sav fresh surely. Everything looked like it was premade frozen and didnt have much in the way of colour.

Very very expensive....not good quality and also long waiting time after ordering. Bought a bacon and egg toasted sandwich for 12$ ( just the sandwich). Totally disappointed and bread was dry not fresh. Don’t recommend to anyone .

I travel a lot, these guys know how to do a awesome works Burger, and their chips were nothing short of exceptional. Great service and good prices. Also if you get a chance, give their biltong a go excellent also. Thanks again for great food and service.

Was quick service, meals were very nice.

I got the lunch pack and my partner got a mince burger. All tasted good and great. I do think they are a tad over priced for what you are getting.
