Fusion_1 Bar & Restaurant - Restaurant in Rangoon, Myanmar
We waited 45 minutes at a table in an almost empty restaurant for two California rolls and an Asian salad. Then had to wait another 10 minutes for the girl to come get our check.
Super cute little sushi place! All is the food looked soooo good. My sushi was delicious, I saw a lady with a salmon dish and it looked so good too. If youre a sushi lover and are in the area def check it out.
Rude reviews and denied my reservation what a garbage place to dine.
Update: I would love to have made a reservation had I known you are reservation only! Please post that on Facebook (which you replied to others saying thats where you have it posted, but as of Friday it was not there - that is how I found youor your google business page or even your website! By your responses to your reviews, you have a delicious food. Help even more people to enjoy your food by posting your reservation requirements please!Went to dine in tonight, Friday. Turned me away because it’s reservation only, which is not posted on any of their sites. Restaurant was empty. A waitress hollered across the room have a good night very dismissively. Not sure Ill try after being dismissed at an empty restaurant.
Very rude and ignorant! Would never recommend. I wish I could give 0 stars.
Brought Chef Craigs Sushi to a few friendsThey all loved it as much as the Mrs snd I.You will also!
A rainy Wednesday night in an unfamiliar town and I picked right. The slaw (salad or kimchi )with the chicken tarkari is something I dream of and the chicken was spot on. Don’t hesitate to go here and thanks for a wonderful meal.
Great food and service every time. Limited seating so call ahead.
Extraordinary experience. It was our first time there and I will be recommending it to every sushi lover I know. It has a wonderfully charming atmosphere and deals throughout the week that are hard to ignore.
Craig is amazing, the food is always top notch and he doesnt seem to have to spend any effort to get it there. Thats how you know hes a master. Watching him work has taught me so much!
My favorite bay city sushi place! Always fresh! The Philly roll is my favorite
Definitely a restaurant to enjoy. The food was excellent. The tomato basil soup was probably the best Ive ever had. The Cajun beef tips were melt in your mouth delicious. Tender with just the right amount of chewyness. The service was good and friendly and the chef was outgoing and friendly. I will definitely be back and will invite my family too
The service was great and the food was awesome. Will definitely be back.
Poor service.Rude staff.I dont think their sushi worth to wait like about 1 hour to get it.The staff there acted like they didnt see us when we showed up in front of their front deck 15 mins earlier than our reservation while they had empty seats!Never come back again.
This was a place that I was so excited to try. For years we walked past this place and drove past this place and we were never able to go due to work schedules or the place just being closed or other factors. This evening we finally made it happen. We had a reservation and we showed up and were quite excited to see what this was going to be like. There were open tables, but we literally waited from 7:15 to 7:35 to even be seated. I had this gut feeling that things were not going to get better and that we really should go. I should have listened to this feeling. Our group consisted of a large guy and a lady and a baby in a car carrier, so I cant imagine that they just didnt see us. We did not putz around with ordering, but it was not until 7:50 that we had soup. The soup was okay, but it was too salty. We had a salad that came out at 8:05. The waitresses were tag-teaming our table and not really communicating. This led to four waters being brought out for two people and then us looking around for a long periods of time hoping that either one of them would see us for service. Our first sushi came out at 8:25. The sushi was pretty good, but it was nothing life-changing. After the first plate, the magic of the sushi already started to run out. But, since this was supposed to be all you can eat we needed to do some more. One of the waitresses eventually stopped to speak with us and apologize for the slow service after we pointed it out. They were talking about all the things that they were up against and that this was not a usual night. We were understanding and gave them the benefit of the doubt. We paid our 42 bucks for two people on credit card and left cash for tip. The other waitress who was not the apologetic one came out and actually challenged us on not leaving a gratuity before looking at the cash on the table! This was an epic error of judgment. Holy cow! I believe that this might have been the first time in my life that a waitress has done this. We left a conservative cash tip, but after walking out I really felt that I should have went back and picked it up. This place and this idea has so much potential, but unfortunately it seems that this potential has been squandered. What I might recommend instead of this place is to go to a local store and pick up sushi and go sit at the park by the river or better yet go to State Park or wherever really. I want to see a business like this survive, but there has to be some rethinking of this place for it to be worthwhile.
It was so relaxing & peaceful since I went by myself & the sushi was excellent along with the service!
UPDATE: THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS! As evident to the reply....This is how they treat their patrons and justify their rudeness. I wish you dry eyes when your business folds! 💋Unfortunately the sushi was delish! We saw the promo on FB about BOGO Free, so I called to ask a couple question, since this was our first time placing an order. The women who answer wasnt very pleasant and made me feel like I was more of a bother than valued patron. I placed an order anyway and I was given a time to pick up. When I picked up the order I asked for eel sauce and was rudely priced, $2....like the guy didnt want to go and get the sauce!Like I said, the Sushi was DELICIOUS, but the staff needs refreshers in Phone Etiquette and Human Relations for Face to Face interaction! We MAY be back, but there are places that treat you better.
The Hubby and I enjoyed a mid week (Wednesdaydate night. We had salmon and steak dinners and of course, sushi! Delicious as always!
As you can see the owner is very rude. They have the time to attack every single reviewer instead of thinking about how to improve their service. Had the worst sushi experience here. Very rude waitress and longest waiting after sitting.
Our reservation was 6:30 but still didn’t get any food after sitting for one hour and twenty minutes. I told the waitress that we have been waiting for more than one hour after ordering and she said “We are not a fast food restaurant.”
Took my wife an daughter for dinner on a Thursday night. When we arrived we were turned away saying we had no reservation. No where on there site or specialty board does it say reservation is required. Was very disappointed at that point. Was not even offered take out. Last time I drive over an hour to dine there. As you see by the owners response they are very rude. Their specialty board is on the wall in their restaurant.
We were there again last night and it is one of our absolute favorites! Wonderful food and service as usual! Please remember that this is a family operation so while it may take a little longer to get your food, it is definitely worth it!
Excellent sushi in Bay City
Just tried Fusion 1 for the first time with some friends and we all loved it! We went for the Sushi Extravaganza and it was a great deal, all you can eat sushi and salad with a bowl of miso soup. Everything was great!
Yummy sushi & very friendly service! Called to make a reservation & we got in right away. We will definitely be back!!
Well, I would like to give this place a review based on their food, but sadly due to their lack of information in regards to what food services are offered on what days, I cannot. Evidently, though you wouldnt know it if you looked them up online like I did, they only serve take out orders on Tuesdays. This is a fact that isnt mentioned anywhere online that Ive been able to find, and when asked about it, the tone the employees used when answering was condescending, almost as though they expected everyone whom walks through their doors to know what they do and when they do so. Overall, if their food is of the same quality as their online and customer service, then I would be unable to recommend them to anyone.
If I could give ten stars, I would. Today was my first time, and I want to share with every one with great service, totally fresh food, the seasoning was spot on, and the variety more than I could every expect. We had the tomatoe bisque soup, octopus salad, unagi roll, Thai noodle salad and last but not least the poke bowl. I would recommend it all and will return.I see they have specials, Tuesday and Fridays, but today, a Thursday, lunch was ideal. Thank you for your love of cooking, preparing, plating, (presentationand service. You made our dining experience Ten Stars!PS- Dont expect fast food like Panda Express. This is the real deal.
Sushi and food are great, with very friendly staff who are on top of great serviceWe ate here 2 times, each as good as the other.
The best around. Great environment. Friendly staff. Excellent food with weekly specials. Almost dont want to say how good..I dont want a line to wait in..Check out the facebook for specials
OUTSTANDING! This was the best dining experience Ive had since the world changed in March...my fiancee were served by the chef himself and loved every bit of our two course meal. Thank you so very much. We will surely be back.
Friendly staff and good food. Only downfall was all the rolls tasted very similar.
Decent sushi (try the shrimp tempura). Service was slow, but I didnt mind waiting as it gave us time to kill. Walking around downtown was nice.
Outstanding food and service to go along with it. To have something like this in my town of Bay City is so appreciated.Be sure to stick around and talk to the owners while they take your order. They are great people and love to share their stories of their trips and experiences. Hearing about the tuna youre going to eat being caught by the hands preparing it for you.....is something to cherish.Fresh food that never fails to deliver every single time.....!!
Great sushi and selection. The tuna and salmon are extremely fresh
Went for the $20 sushi option. We were seated by 6:30. Just before 7:30 we still didnt have any food. There was only one person preparing sushi and two waitresses. The restaurant had maybe seven tables of customers, and three of them also didnt have their food yet. The sushi is mediocre at best and definitely isnt worth the wait. It shouldnt take nearly an hour to make four rolls of sushi. We wont be back.We went to Blossoms instead, received our sushi in 8 minutes and it was amazing. They also had a restaurant that had three times the amount of people, so I dont understand why Fusion took so long.It has a phenomenal atmosphere and the waitress was friendly, but thats where the compliments end.
Craig is #1 in the Tri-Cities for his menu and the Sushi he makes you crave more even when you cant eat anymore. If you havent tried the Asian Noodle Salad dont miss out on that either. Another good craving food! 🍱🍣🍜 YUM
Best sushi Ive ever had! I love coming here for all you can eat sushi and its always amazing, every item Ive had off of the menu has been so tasty and fresh. The seaweed salad is the best around. My co-worker who brags about the quality of sushi on the west coast said this was the best sushi he has ever had in Michigan! And that it rivals the west coast. Call for reservations!
LOVE this place. Their food is great and so is the service. We love to go there for sushi, especially friday night "all you can eat" this place is a great place to go for a relaxing, comfortable dinner. I recommend eating here if you havent. The staff members are absolutely great and the place is clean. Not many tables, so it is a pretty private dinner area. Do not hesitate to eat here.
Have to have reservations on Thursdays and Fridays otherwise they will turn you away. Good for beginner sushi eaters, not the variety I was wanting. Seemed a little unorganized with who had which tables. Took A LONG TIME, our waitress literally passed our table 5 times after we asked for our bill bringing other tables their drinks, food, etc. I waitressed for 5 years at a very busy restaurant so I understand how food service works and there are many things that could be improved
Well worth the wait! A delicious variety of sushi with a nice laid-back ambiance. Be prepared to wait as all the food is made fresh. We had poor service 1 of our 3 visits but it may have been a fluke. I still highly recommend trying Fusion Cafe.
I ordered take out, said it would be an hour for 4 rolls. I got there 10 minutes before they said, food was just setting on counter in a takeout box. I got to my car the masago was in a still frozen block yet the rest of the sushi was all warm! Tried one piece of each roll and threw the rest out as it tasted off. They did include some ginger and wasabi, staff was friendly.
I don’t know how people are giving this restaurant more than 1-2 stars.. Two hour wait for a take out order (two rolls only), sushi just okay, nothing to rave about. Weird hours, won’t be back. Come on Bay City, get a Maru, or something comparable. This place sucks!!!
Amazing food and a great environment. Acapulco roll is amazing. Salads are huge and the hot saki is amazing! Chef does a great job. Staff is very friendly.
Cozy, romantic upscale resteraunt tucked away by Bay Citys waterfront. Famous for the all-you-can-eat sushi. Has a full menu as well. Also open for lunch, but hours of operation can discourage you. Call ahead. Reservations are definitely recommended. Food comes out slowly as their theory on meals is food should be an experience, not fast. The bananas foster is big enough to satisfy three. Well worth the wait.
Pros: good service, cheap prices, fast service, friendly staff.Cons: If you’re used to really nice sushi places, with top grade selections, this might not be your type of place. Atmosphere was a little loud.If you live in the Bay City area, You should definitely give this place a try. The Maki rolls are a very good here. If you’re from out of town, and enjoy sushi often, give you a try, you won’t have your best sushi experience, but you’ll enjoy yourself.
We eat here often and always find it to be delicious. Have only eaten the sushi and know I should try other menu items, but love the sushi. Have had friends order other menu items and they raved over it.
Great local sushi, the restaurant has unique hours of business. The food is delicious however it does not come out very fast. So as long as your with good company and not in a hurry it makes for a good evening. If you have young ones who dont like to sit for very long you may want to pass.
Upon entering we had high hopes. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, however after placing our order we had to wait a very long time for our sushi. (The cafe was nearly empty, so having a long wait was strange)We ordered a large seafood platter for $30, it came with some small cuts of salmon, tuna, and a ball of rice. The salmon and tuna tasted blan, and the salmon had a few brown spots that made us question how fresh it was. The California rolls were alright but also lacked anything special. In the end I would not recommend coming here.
While a little slow at times - the rolls are all done at time of order and only by Chef Craig. Something I enjoy and am happy to wait for.The tuna is top notch, fresh, and yummy. Miso soup is good, and I love his salads. Dressings are homemade and are also freshly done.Service was slow our first time, but we still have become regulars, and we really like the big town feel for something like this in our small town! I love it!!!Thanks!
I really liked the sushi and loved the miso soup. Customer service is not great. I can deal with the slowness, but I get frustrated when I tell the waitress one thing and then another waitress shows up with the wrong order or brings salads when I ask them not to (allergic to the cilantro in it - I promise I will eat all the sushi I order please dont try/force and fill me with a salad that I cant eat). I was asked "are you sure youll be able to eat all that sushi?! I ordered 3 rolls, pretty standard for me. Really wish they had more seating. Especially for Thursdays. Get reservations !!!
