Funabashi Andersen Park - City park in Ichihara, Japan
An amazing park for the family with many locations in the park. We have a year membership there. Lots of flowers, nature, and workshop options. They also have exhibitions there… nice picnic area! My kids love the park section! Definitely recommended!
Wonderful park with many options for kids and everyone can enjoy. There are many restaurants around the park so no need to worry about empty stomach while having a funday in the park 😊Most recommended place for family with children 🧒🏻
great park for families. a very large area, recreates the life of Denmark of the past. beautiful landscape design❤️
A good play to have kids enjoy their weekend. My kids liked water park very much. People put their small tents to get shade. Athletic park is also very fun. Small zoo is also here. Very busy in the morning and start getting less people after 2Pm. Streets get heavy traffic jam in the morning and closing time. Better prepare yourself that you spend almost all day here when you come.Buy ticket at loppie in a lawson, dint buy it at the gate, too expensive.
I love flowers arrangement andersen park
Nice place to visit with your family speciallly in the summer to enjoy the water park
Very nice place, big park, many things to do,
One of the best parks Ive ever seen in Japan. Perfect for all ages. Splash area with small beach and stream, several slides including a giant japanese roller slide, jumping balls, animals, train ride and several vending machines and toilets (the only disappointing part as they were a bit dirty as it was a busy summer day). The shop inside sells toys, snacks and drinks and they accept credit cards which is a novelty in Japan. There are plenty more things to do which we didnt have the time. So definitely coming back as the entrance fee is also very reasonable. Tents are welcome.
Lovely wide outdoor space especially for children.
It is a very good place for flower lovers and children. Also they allow play with fountain water like a pool.
Kids and family oriented park with a bunch of activities, people bring tents and camp out/picnic outside.
It is an awesome place where every age people can enjoy. There are many kids play items, pony ride and adventures. Its a bliss to visit this place in spring where there are many flowers and aromas around.
A very nice park with a Danish town theme in honor of H. C. Andersen. For those who like his stories would find plenty of nostalgia. Its designed for entire families to have fun together but also adults and couples can spend a lovely quiet day in here.
We visited in January. The kids play is relatively big and nice. Other than that and the animals hiroba, there is not much to do.But seems like a better place in summer. Will make a visit later. There are quite a large number of food stalls. Many parking lots too.
This is a beautiful park feels like Im in Europe 😂😂😂
If you have a car and you want to take out the kids without spending much you must come here. Entrance for children os 200 yen only, adult is 1000 yen.you can buy beforehand at seven eleven machine, try to check the website before coming.parking lot is 1000 yen only.its far but so worth it. The children can hold the animals for free.elementary students can ride a horse for 100 yen, 200 yen for funny cycles.theres an athletic space that children would love to play.ice cream is 300 yen and taste so good! You can bring tent or picnic sheets and obento.theres also a boat you can experience and restaurants.the place is so beautiful you would want to come again.
Nice garden ı was enjoy there 👍👍
Excellent place for family especially for kids. Entrance fee is very nominal and parking car is also reasonable (500 yen). Plan for one full day, since it has many attractions inside. Bring your own tent, you will love this place .
I’ve been living in Funabashi City now for over six years and just went, for the first time, to Andersen Park. It was fantastic! My favorite parts were the windmill, the natural areas, the overall layout and architecture and the happy people all around.
Always fun, even on a rainy day we spent all day in the kodomo museum where’s there’s tons of crafts to make.
Lovely park.Few things inside you can do for a little extra but some of those things could be better maintained (specially with the entrance fee being 900 yen for an adult and the extra activities ranging from 100~300 yen per personentrance fee includes the waterpark section and petting zoo [which are currently closed due to covid] and the various play parks dotted all over the park - great for kids, but perhaps reduce the ticket price when half of the stuff is closed due to covid??? Kids do get in cheaper though (depends on age, with under 4years being free and scaling up from there... sort of between 100~600yen ish - see their website for up to date pricing. You can buy advanced tickets which are about 100 yen cheaper per ticket on average 900->810 etc).Golf putting was fun and quick activity for only 100yen per person but the 9 holes were a little bumpy with only bare minimum maintenance very evident. (I didnt expect much, but you can tell its not particularly thought about for maintenance when theyre deciding where to spend money). The "funny bike" course is VERY short but for only 200yen for a 1~2 person bike and 300 yen for the 3~4 person bike its pretty reasonable for a bit of fun.Overall its a nice park. Worth visiting at least once, specially if youve got kids. You can easily spend the day here if you wish to. Entry price is a bit steep (specially with so much being closed that would normally make it okand those extra 100~300 yen activity costs per can add up if you have a big family.
Went there twice. Kids was so happy enjoying the jungle “gym”. They love the long slides and jumping on the balls. They also did craft making candles. The flowers was beautiful.. Too bad we didn’t ride the boat on the lake. The line was long. We also enjoyed shopping and snacking near the windmill. If you have kids, take themhere!
Great place to go for family with small children, especially at the north side of the park. If you wanna go for a date with your love one, or wanna see something nice with your friends, go to the south side of the park. This park is huge!!! Children will love the athletic track in the man made forest, the huge playground, and the water pool. It is not a swimming pool, but more of a pool to play with water. Children can also go to catch beetle in summer. Prepare to spend one full day in the park.As for smaller children, theres a playground as well as indoor playground for toddlers. Now, for adults, the southern side provide nice places for taking pictures, with romantic atmosphere too. Theres a windmill, dwarfs village where you can see what supposed to be dwarfs houses too. The area is designed as if youre in Europe, particularly Denmark, as the name indicate (Funabashi Andersen Park, the Andersen from Hans Christian Andersen).Watch the railings of the bridge when you cross the pond/lake in the middle of the park. Youll see some images of fairy tales there. I can remember spotting the little mermaid and Thumbelina. The food was quite nice and not so expensive. I only tried the food court (outdoor). Never tried the restaurant.
Its a bit expensive in my opinion at 900 yen for 1 adult but we really enjoyed it. Its beautiful and relaxing. Good place to spend a day with the kids too, if you have any.
Good value for money.Lots to do if you have kids. Tons of play structures and activities. The Danish styles building are quite nice.
flowers, park, nature, and especially playground for kids, etc... a very nice place to enjoy the day with the family or friends. great environment!
Loved this park. So many beautiful flowers to see and interesting things to do. A great place for family to enjoy for all day. However the entrance fee is too expensive ¥900 per adult. A family of four would cost more. I thought it included all the rides in the park but it wasn’t. Car park was ¥500.
Having arrived at his park 20 minutes before closure I was skeptical about paying the full cost of going inside. After going in I was blown away at what they had to offer! I’ve literally traveled all over the whole of Japan and have visited many parks but I must say this park is amazing. Perfect for young lovers, children, and anyone wanting to enjoy the great outdoors, you can bring a small tent and relax. It was said that this was the most popular park even after Tokyo Disneyland was built. That’s no surprise. Cool park.
perfect place for kids and adult
Very nice place to visit, went there in november and it was warm that day so pretty good playing around in the park with kids. Can imagine it might be to crowded in weekends and holidays. So might avoid going those days.Best to bring your own lunch, food quality not to good.
This park is great for kids who can run and who, consequently, run all over the house. You can spend a whole day here easily. They let you bring food and even a small tent into the park. The flowers are always gorgeous, too.
When I first went I wasnt that impressed with the park but that was more due to not realising how much there actually was. Of course there are the athletic/adventure play grounds for the kids, but there is also a wooded walking area that has some interesting twisted trees and even though the majority is asphalt paths, there are a few dirt tracks that make for a regular wood walk. The areas outside the wood and behind the athletic parks are pretty interesting, too and lead through to the flower parks and European style village area which is quite beautiful. The bridge that spans the two different park areas overlooks the boating lake which was pretty busy on the day we visited. Its a nice park with plenty to see and do.
Its very beautiful and relaxing lakes, flower gardens, also lots of athletics. Perfect for kids.
A beautiful park although the ticket price is quite expensive (900yen/ adult). You can enjoy forest, playground, flower garden and boating (boating fee is separated from entrance fee). Spending one day in the park maybe is not enough for your family but you can purchase a year pass with an acceptable price (if you live nearby).
Its massive the amount of stuff here to do will take the whole day there is so much to do, giant slides, athletic jungle, giant fields and a giant pool. For food German sausages, and a restaurant. I would recommend this place for people who like site seeing and athletics. There is also a wide path so people who like jogging can have a good time to.
Great place to spend a weekend with family and kids.
beautiful place, but not friendly to foreigners, they refused to offer disability discount to my friend, just beacuse she is a foreigner!!that is so sad!which never happened in other Japanese park. they shouldnt treat disabled people like that!!
Vast park can spend whole day with family.Better bring lunch from home as every restaurants would have long line to get food.
I love this park! The entrance is 900 yen for adult. The park is huge with lots of options for kids (and even adultsto play. You can have a picnic there, enjoy the flowers (spring is the best season), play games and try different outdoor adventures. You can get the bus to this park from the Funabashi Station and it takes around 45 minutes to get there!
Pretty big park with many attractions for kids, nice organized and clean. You can take your own tent.
Only took an hour by car from urayasu (near Disneyland). I guess you can use public transportation too (but have to change with bus, because theres no train station near the place). The long slides and kids gym are my kids favourite. I think sakura will bloom beautifully in spring (we saw some sakura tree). Also theres mini pool that might be very nice at summer.
A bit far from the Shinjuku, However Nice Place to go with Kids.
A great and beautiful place where you can bring both your parents and children to enjoy. The only downside is that its quite a distance from the nearest train station. Bring your own picnic baskets as no muslim friendly restaurants/cafe are available.
Cant go wrong going to AP with the kids or as a couple. Go to kita narashino and then there is bus directly there. Bring a tent if sunny, swim suit for kids pool. Also military grade obsticle course around perimeter. 3000 jpy for annual pass for tokyo residents. Less for Chiba.
Great place for the family with so much to do - massive slide, water play, animals and pony ride, wooden climbing frames, jumping areas in a space that is huge. Remember to bring tent, picnic rugs and BYO food as there was some food available but not a huge amount.
We went when the cherries were in full bloom and it was AMAZING! It was so beautiful, and the layout is great. There are tons of activities for kids, families, couples, or even if you wanted to go alone. There is a forest hike, there are several adventure playgrounds for kids and adults, there is a huge fountain pool for kids to play in, and also an activity area to learn about how to manipulate water. There were ponies and a petting zoo. There are a bunch of restaurants all over the park, including the one where we went where I had lamb BBQ and beer, which was okay, and not expensive. There is an actual windmill. There is a lake with boats! Apparently there is a place to make stuff like artwork, but I didnt see it... The place is huge!! You should get there early so that you have the whole day to enjoy it. The entrance fee was less than ¥1000 per adult, which is reasonable considering the grounds. Parking was not free. I am pretty sure that if the city were not managing the park, it would have gone under a while ago, because the prices are reasonable throughout.
Its very convenient living nearby and the 3000yen adults, 500yen kids yearly pass is worth buying. There are a number of different zones: summer water park, long roller slide, lots of woodland assault/athletic courses, hill slide, animal farm, boat lake, small kid area and nature walks.Food isnt anything special, Vietnam bento a nice surprise. But on the south side of the bridge there are nice gardens to picnic.
Lots of obstacle courses. Enjoyable from 4-5 years kids to adults.
Great place to visit with the kids.Place was very busy when we went on the weekend. There is a restaurant called merhen which was a 45min wait for basic food.Suggest bringing your own food and a leisure sheet
Lots of adventure type play equipment for kids. Much bigger and better than I had expected. My 8 yr old daughter and 11 yr old son loved it and want to go back.
