Fulin Restaurant in Quesnel

They claim to sell prawns. They showed me the box that the prawns come out of and on the label it says, Medium Shrimp, they deep fry this with pancake batter and supposedly turns from shrimp to prawns just magic. I told her she should go to Safeway look in the freezer where they keep Prawns and Shrimp a d just look at the differenceShe told me she cannot read English, and I said she only had to look at them to see the difference, it says Prawns on their Menu , do not be deceived , the box that they get their prawns from says Shrimp on it. She went in the back and brought out a box from the freezer opened it with a knife and said see prawns. I asked her to turn the box around so that I could see the label, she did so and on the label in big blue print it said shrimp, with the word Medium written beneath the word Shrimp. For 12 Shrimp, Sweet and Sour Pork (not bonelessand a bowl of Rice ( was supposed to be chicken chow meinit was $55.00. We asked for our money back and was given $40.00 back on our debit card and were told never to come back there again, really, I replied who the hell would want too, and advised her she could be sued for false advertising saying she is selling Prawns when it is actually Shrimp she is selling people, anyone wanting easy money, there it is for you, I cannot be bothered. 2nd worst Chinese place that I have eaten at in my 70 years on this planet. Definitely not the best in town. Ginger beef was the only thing that was good, everything else wasnt. I would not order from here again

Great food.

Paid around 17 dollars for the trashy fried rice. Tasteless, overcooked rice, not enough eggs. What a disgrace to my culture. My ancestors crying right now.

Asked to place an order for delivery and immediately got a hard sigh by the lady who answered. She then rudely asked what my address was like my call was an inconvenience.I told her to nevermind and said that she was being rather rude with how she answered the phone and that I will place my order elsewhere.I did enjoy their food, but their customer service needs some serious work.

The food was absolutely fantastic But more the staff is absolutely friendly .Always remembers my order remembers my allergies Before I even Finish my order. Its always nice when there is good customer service Somehow it just gives you that feel good feeling !!

Best food in town! We order from here often, and have tried many dishes. Since COVID we have only ordered for pickup. Our orders are made quick, and the owners and staff are professional, and really great! Definitely recommend for everyone to try.

This place has great Chinese eats. Pricing is on the cheaper end of the scale, but dont think for a second that this is reflected in the food. Friendly staff, as always in the cariboo!

Gone there for years. Food is consistently excellent.

Made an order here, They screwed it up. Then said we were wrong about how we ordered it. Refused too do anything about it after it took an hour and a half too get the food cold. Super rude on the phone when we complained and refused too do anything about it other then offer a 5 dollar refund. Defiantly dont recommend ordering here.

Food is delicious. We order seafood fry rice and wonton. I would say it’s authenticate Chinese food in my opinion.

Where do I begin, this place was honestly gross the deep fried oysters are legit just canned and everything has no flavor, my order took almost 2 hours to get to my house, I will never eat there againDO NOT RECOMMEND.

Everything was going swell until I found a lizard in my chow mein but I decided to just keep it as a pet so i do have to thank them for giving me my new best friend.

Gross food, chow mein was burnt, nothing had flavour, the food was barely warm& the service was poor, and would not even apologize for the less then poor quality of food!! Very poor customer service.I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Best Chinese food in quesnel in my opinion

Try at your own risk if you like over microwaved over cooked and under cooked bland, greasy, mushy Chinese food. Enjoy the almond chicken with raw dough and "chicken", a must, not. Egg rolls and spring rolls dripping with grease and filled with stuffing? Awful.

Very westernized chinese food. If you want decent chow mein, seriously do yourself a favour and try the house chow mein on crispy noodles. Very good. Almost all the other chow mein dishes involve just the basic fare of bland, soft steamed egg noodles with a small amount of bland chicken...or pork..or something with some sauce. This isnt a knock against Fulin Restaurant. It seems this is the normal way alot of dishes in central B.C. are done. As soon as you leave the lower mainland/fraser valley, chinese food quality and care seems to take a downturn. The only reason our friends and family can think of is the lack of competition. If you serve average food in greater Vancouver, you seriously risk going out of business. In a town where you have between 1 and 4 chinese restaurants...you maybe dont need to put quite as much effort in to wow the patrons that darken your doorway? Anyways, this isnt a direct shot at Fulin. They do have some good dishes, just dont expect to be wowed.

Ordered from here tonight because kakalots was closed and was hungry... everything looked great until I got my sweet and sour pork..... saw something sticking out went to pull it and it was a piece of metal..... called fulin right away the owner offered another sweet and sour didnt feel like getting another metal piece again ....... offered $10 back .... Will never order from here again

Bland and over-priced. Portions are mediocre .

Wonton was very u dercooked and my friend got food poisoning...not impressed. Had to pay full price anyways..

Would give 0 stars if I could. Called to order delivery for 1 person. Wouldnt deliver, said there was a minimum amount for delivery but wouldnt tell me what their minimum delivery amount was, even though I explained Im in a hotel and have no transportation except my semi.

This would be my 2nd favorite Chinese place in Quesnel, after Dragon gate. The staff I find to be nice. The food is delicious and the prices are good. Plate size is good, but I dont think quite as big as Dragon Gate. The main thing it lacks in is the atmosphere and decor, it feels kinda dark in there oftentimes and the decor isnt very nice. But overall I still find it a pleasant place to eat and its definitely worth eating at (especially on Monday when Dragon Gate is closed.)

Great Chinese food. Plenty of table space for larger groups and families. Friendly staff and great cooks make for a very good dining experience. The only drawback to this location is the lack of parking.
