Fujiyama Japanese Steakhouse - Japanese restaurant in Bremerton, United States
I really liked that restaurant. Fun place to watch the chef do tricks and cook food with a flame of heat. Their food is absolutely delicious. I would recommend getting yum yum sauce as their secret recipe that we cannot tell anyone about that. Pretty expensive though! We only go there for special occasions.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! They steal from you!!!I recently ate dinner here with a group of people. Since we were a group of 6 they automatically already added an 18% tip to our total dinner bill. So the food, tax, and tip all combined was a total of $197. It even says on the bottom of the receipt that they already add in the 18% tip for parties of 6 or more. And we did the math and confirmed that the total amount already did include that tip.We paid with a credit card and only signed off for the $197 amount and even rewrote the $197 amount on the line to show that as being the total amount for everything which already included the tip.Flash forward to today we just saw the final amount that was actually charged to the credit card and they actually charged $227 instead!!! So they literally charged us TWICE for the $30 tip. We only authorized and signed off on the receipt for $197 and they charged more than that. That is STEALING. Totally unacceptable and ridiculous! Therefore I strongly advise everyone to NEVER eat here but if you must, only pay in cash so they can’t steal any extra money from you. Completely shady and dishonest. This was my first and LAST time ever eating here.
Five solid stars for Morgan and Daniel at my stepdaughter’s birthday dinner. Both were personal, patient and professional. Daniel is a true pro at his grill craft and we enjoyed visiting with him as he prepared food for the ten of us. And the food was great and plentiful.
Absolutely delicious food served w/ an accomplished chef!
This place has always been excellent...until tonight. We only treat ourselves to this place 2 or 3 times per year as dinner out is not cheap these day.The only thing that came in order was the soup n salad. My drink came out as a coke rather than what I asked for.It took almost 10 mins to fix it.0 showmanship on the cooks part. Many of the group ordered what i believe to have been the jackie special. 4 8oz fillets between 6 plus of us.Had to ask for the group after everything else had been served including the rice which was last at that point... for my steak to be prepared medium as the cook was appearing to prepare to clean up.The gentleman to my left asked for medium rare. Mine was served first.Had to squeeze our own yum yum sauce Had to ask for the ginger sauce 10 mins later. The fried rice was lacking the normal color and the onion volcano was prepped literally last and thrown out instead of being chopped and served w the rice. The food was OK but what a disappointment at an $85 tab for 2 people.
The chef had an existential crisis on our wedding day. It was a quick court house wedding, so we decided on dinner at fujiyamas. The chef had us and a full family including 4 children, two under the age of 7, the others were 14 years old. He kept talking about how our life is basically in a simulator and were nothing in the ultimate March of time. Ive tried reaching out to management, yet they never return any calls or my emails. Sucks to get married and told nothing exists amung other things. Would of been great if the chef just shut up.
William is #1! Seriously, I have been a dozen times. Food is always YUM-YUM, But...this guy was on point. A real showman 👌
The staffs are so nice, friendly and accommodating but the food here is totally disappointing. There will be about 10 people or so seating around a big table grill. It may be a fun experience if you come here in a big group of friends or family. However, if you are looking for a romantic night out and find it awkward or uncomfortable to seat right next to strangers then this place is not for you. The chef was nice and tried hard to entertain us with tricks while cooking everone orders on the grill. The best chef would fail to make good food with the way they cook it. They use the SAME kind of seasoning which are TWO things - a bottle of soysauce and lard butter- to season EVERYTHING no matter if it is chicken, steak, scallops, fried rice, shrimp, vegetables or whatever. As the result, everything there have the same bland mehh disappointing flavor. I was wondering if they ever tasted their own food???The restaurant looks sad and gloomy.
The food was great and the cook was very friendly and engaging!
We totally love Fujiyama. We had a female chef. In addition to being a great chef, she was also an awesome entertainer. The food was delicious, prepared to perfection. Always a special experience.
If you ever feel like eating out with your partner you should eat here ! The food is amazingly delicious and the service is wonderful!
Today, Tuesday July 26th, is my birthday. I had guests from across the water and hours away come to what was a tradition of going here. I checked earlier today online and it said it would open at 4pm. All my guests and I showed up at the restaurant around 5:30 to closed doors and a few other couples confused. The door still has the old hours. I called the restaurant and heard they are now closed on Tuesdays. This time change must be new, but what a huge let down. Very upset.
We walked in with no reservations and they were able to accommodate. The 3 star is for the lack of cleanliness when we were seated and the lack of having to request refills of water. Server was not readily available and was serving 2 tables. Thats a lot to deal with. The tables were not fully cleaned from last group. Our clean plates were set down on dirty tables.
Expect to wait no less than one hour for your chef to show up and thats after youve waited 30 minutes to be seated.UPDATE!!!theyve gotten a lot better since then. You are seated and have your chef in less than 30 minutes now.
This was my first time dining at a Japanese steakhouse and, I was not remotely disappointed! Our chef was William, who was/is friendly and funny! Hes really good with the theatrics at the grill, which removed all apprehensions I had when I first came in (Ive never dined with strangers around an open grill like that). I caught him by surprise with my request for blue steak but, he certainly knows what hes doing! Most chefs cant do a steak blue but, not only did William rise to the challenge, the flavor was fantastic (something which is often absent in a blue steak)! The food! Oh, the food! The flavors were simply incredible! Normally, I need more salt, or sauce, always something extra to add or bring out more flavor but, not here! I will definitely eat here again and, I would certainly recommend it to anyone! Thank you, William!
Very tasty General Tsos chicken, a little on the mild side but easy remedy, extra hot red peppers.
This was our first time there. It was very entertaining. The food was amazing!!! Huge thanks to all the staff and especially our cook Will! We will be back there again for sure.
Food was excellent and Teppan Chef, Will was great. Went for granddaughters 10th birthday.
Recommendation for party and eat out dinner...love the experience 😋 😀 👌
Always a great experience, if you want to skip the show and just eat the yummy food and are over 21, there is almost never a wait to sit at the bar.
Terrific for Anniversaries and get-togethers. The chefs are entertaining and the food is delicious. You must try the Yum-Yum sauce
The Food is Fantastic!! Everything we Ordered was Superb!! And I can Vouch for that, because Our Orders Included Filet Mignon & New York Steaks, Chicken & Steak Hibachis, Lobster, Scallops, Shrimp, Ect..It was Prepared Right in Front of us by a Top-Notch Chef that Entertained & Enhanced the Visit!! This was the BEST Mothers Day Dinner by Far..Dont Believe Me? Ask MY Mother!!👸
Fun place for Japanese food and showmanship from the chef. The food is all cooked on a grill in front of you while the chef performs some tricky maneuvers with some VERY sharp knives. Family style seating makes for new friends. Portions are enormous which are reflected in the prices. A little less for less would be better but all, a great dining experience. Great place to go with a crowd for birthdays or other celebrations
The Restaurant and their servers were all great no to mention their awesome food. Will have to revisit next time I come back
Love the food/flavor. We continue to go back because of it every few months, we sit in the bar as we dont go for the show and service is always very prompt. With that said, Quality of the meat has slowly gone down hill over the past few years. They did a much needed face-lift semi recently but was pretty minimal and not well done. Also, not sure if its just me but the place kind of smells a wee bit weird.
Riding on the reputation built by previous owners. The food here is not even close to as good as it used to be. Small cheap shrimp compared to the large tail-on shrimp they used to serve. Fried rice used to be amazing, now its average. Come for the atmosphere if you must, but you can get better food elsewhere for less money.
Food and service were excellent. Only downside was unable to get a reservation because phone line was jammed with other people trying to get reservations, had to eat at the bar.
I had the best experience at Fuiyama in Silverdale!! Our chefs name was William and he was so personable and hilarious! The other people at our table were super nice also so we all had a lot of fun and the food was amazing! I definitely recommend this place and I am going back as soon as I get the chance. Its a 45 minute drive for us and totally worth it!
The staff were great. Prices are high but the cooks do a great job at entertaining on the grill.
Always love the food and service. The orders were ready on time, nice and hot, great portions and tasted wonderful.
Absolutely delicious!!! I ordered the chicken and steak with fried rice and it was Aah-Mazzz-Ing! The steak was so tender and both were very flavorful. Since it was my birthday, I also ordered a Long Island Ice Tea. The drink wasnt as good as I thought it was going to be. When I splurge on that one special drink for the year, I feel like I should at least taste some of the alcohol but it only tasted like lemonade so that was a little disappointing. Other than that, its kinda pricy but definitely worth it for a special occasion. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a fun atmosphere and great food!!!!
Definitely would try and visit here again. Next time, Im going to bring more people and sit at the Hibachi seats. A classic Hibachi is always better the more people you have. They cut up and fry the rice and proteins right in front of you.
This use to be one of my familys favorite places. But the arent the same the last couple of times Ive been there. The food, although its being cooked right in front of you, is just not good.
This place is my husband and I favorite!! It always delicious, great service, and awesome atmosphere. Even with the chaos of Christmas Eve and being packed, the still came through amazing.
I have to give a HUGE shoutout to our chef, Jackie. He was super awesome. Very talkative and interactive with us and it made our experience so much better. Our food was started late due to his stove not being on, but Jackie made up for the delay by engaging with us and getting sauces started and just filling the time well. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious! He helped us sing happy birthday to my niece and just made our visit an enjoyable one! Thanks Jackie, we appreciate you!
I always have an awesome experience when I come to Fujiyamas!Ive been to other hibachi places out of town and out of state, but this one always beats the rest. Not only is the food cooked to perfection every time, but the chefs are funny, personable and always put a smile on your face. They make your dinner a whole experience, rather than just a good meal.I highly recommend!
Brother came home from college, his favorite food at WSU is hibachi. We went here for dinner, ran up a tab of about $120 not including drinks, that’s the food only. They cashed us out, we asked for the yellow sauce to go and they told us it would be around 1.5 dollars per little container. We have been to Japanese steak houses all over the country. Never in my life have I been asked for my pockets to be ran the way these people did. This place use to be good, grew up here with the children of the people that use to own it. They moved and sold the business and the restaurant went into a decline. Hot trash of a restaurant. Remnants of what it once was.
The cook was a lot of fun. He really engaged with our granddaughter. He has a lot of dad jokes, but was still so entertaining. And the food was great as well. My ONLY issues are the darkness and the vents making the place so cold.
Really good experience, will be back! This was my first time here and the service was great, from the waiter to the chef! The food was sooo good. I love how they have a punch run that comes with a glass souvenir. We came out for our birthday and they came with candles on our little cake. I was entertained and fully satisfied with the whole experience. Definitely, recommend!!!
We had a 7pm reservation for my boyfrienda birthday. We didnt get seated until 7:10 which was not bad but then waiting for everything get started was super slow. We sat at our table for a good 30 minutes before our orders were taken. The chef didnt get to our table until almost 8:30. The company at our table was great and the chefs jokes and artistry lightened every ones mood. The food was super yummy. I would recommend this restaurant on the chef alone. The servers and hostess seem like they need more communication between each other.
3pm reservations but didnt get served by Chef until almost 4. The Chef was a mess, he blew his nose was a rag that was stuffed in his pocket and continued to serve us. He looked homeless. He had a cool fire show though. The food was a grade of C-. The waitress and hostess were awesome though. They tried their best to keep us happy with soda. It will be a very long time before I go back if ever again.
Came with my sisters food was great and had alot of fun
This place is one of the best Japanese steakhouses I’ve ever been to. They cook your food right in front of you. The chef was great. Yet the price was worth it. I ordered the shrimp with some fried rice. They also grill vegetables and create an onion volcano, which was entertaining to watch. For dinner they serve everyone onion soup with a salad. Everyone also gets 2 pieces of shrimp with their meal. I would go here every birthday I had since 2011, up until last year (because of COVID-19but I came back here this year for my birthday.I would recommend to make a reservation in the weekend because it gets booked.Thank you staff for your service, and I plan to come back in the future.
We celebrated a birthday at Fujiyama and it did not disappoint! The service was amazing and the food was great too. We had the calamari appetizer and the sauce that accompanied it was incredible! I had the surf and turf . The steak was delicious, the lobster was ok. (A little too much seasoningThe chef was entertaining and we enjoyed the atmosphere. They give a free birthday meal and dessert. Recommend making a reservation so you don’t have to wait !
Good times, great service, exceptional food. Out of the ordinary experience in Kitsap. Be entertained and enjoy a meal you wont soon forget.
This place is filthy. Grease stains all over the table and the grill. I don’t think this place should stay open if they are too lazy to clean the place. Sad some people are comfortable dining at this place. Food is alright but its like eating your food in a dirty wet ally!..
This is a fun place to go for a special day. The food is very good, make sure you get the fried rice. The entertainment from the Chef is always funny very entertaining. The serves is at a good pace but they are not pushy. Also love the squid steaks. If busy the wait may be awhile, so make reservations. Oh and dont forget to tell on that Birthday person, it is always fun.
We always enjoy eating here. The seafood is consistently cooked properly and the tempura with a side of fried rice is a great option for kids. Upgrading to the fried rice is highly recommended and worth the $2 charge. The VIP card is very worthwhile if you eat here even just occasionally.
We had a great evening! The food was tasty and our teppanyaki cook was amazing. Very skilled and entertaining. We will go back!
I was looking for a cool teppanyaki experience for my two boys and Fujiyama delivered. We rolled on without a reservation and were pretty much immediately seated even though they were pretty busy given the holiday. Everything from ordering to the show went pretty much as youd expect if youve been to a hibachi place before. We had to flag our server down a couple of times for drinks and our chef seemed a bit timid compared to other guys in the room, but he rocked the tricks and kept everyone laughing and having a great time. The food was excellent and the prices are on point with other similar restaurants. The boys (5 and 2had a blast and loved the onion volcano and all of the other performance parts of the service. It was out first time there and Im sure well go back.
