Fu Cheng - Chinese restaurant in Linz, Austria
I left a review two-three years ago where I feel I was unfair on Fu Cheng. They were away on holidays and I had gone there expecting it to be open but I realise the fault there is probably Googles rather than the restaurant. Ive been three times since and the food is really nice, and the staff are quick and friendly. The vegan duck is absolutely delicious.
2 stars for the location and ambient.Food was unbelievable dissatisfing. Almost no meat for a meat dish, lots of vegetables "from yesterdays dinner time", and not even then nicely done, I had to add soy sauce to give them a taste. Stained porcelain for tea...Lot to improve when comes to dining in this location!!!
Authentic asian food, a LOT of vegan/vegetarian options. Food was delicious, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere great!
Bedienung:80% gut 20% schlecht. Je nachdem wen man erwischt.
Wonderful good made with care and attention. No artificial taste, only well designed, tasty food!
The ambience is the same as the restaurant inside an IKEA, bland and generic. The wanton soup was quite nice, however the chicken sate with noodles was pale and unappetising. The noodles were overcooked to a point that their structure collapsed with my fork, and became sludgy, I left half of the noodles and vegetables because they had formed a paste ball. The chicken was overcooked in such a way as to make me beleive they were cooked at lunch time, unsold, then re-cooked for my dinner, the meat tasting stale and being chewy. For 15 euro I expected something a bit decent, and I dont think Ive ever been to an Asian where they didnt k ow how to cook noodles.Maybe they have changed owners or cooks, or maybe theyre more of a downtown lunch place than a place to have a good dinner. They also charge 1 euro for a small glass of tap water, and 2 euro for a large glass of tap water. Tap water.I did not want tap water, but I think its a good thing to note when choosing a restaurant.
Nett angerichtete gute Speisen.
Frische Chilis waren perfekt.
Very friendly staff and good ambiance. We have been there few times and the taste was very good all the time though the portion is not enough.
Great food, great people 👍😊Try the vegan chicken!
I dont know how many years we do visit this restaurant already, but we were always really happy. Everybody is really nice and the place is quite comforting.
By a landslide, the best and most authentic Chinese food you’ll find in town.Awesome selection of vegan alternatives.
Very good dishes and nice staff
Wonderful restaurant with a lot of tasty vegan options. You wont be dissapointed!
As a Chinese, I’m very satisfied. High quality Chinese food in Linz! My favourite Chinese restaurant so far!!Summer roll and deep fried banana are also great! One as a starter and one as a dessert. Highly recommend!!
So so so so so good! The veggies always taste very fresh and the vegan options are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the Vegane Ente! So so yummy!
The satay skewers were great, they have a lot of other vegan options on the menu as well.
really good gonna go back!!
Vegan options are simply amazing!!!
Amazing veggie options the duck was incredible!
Inexplicable delicious food (try the vegan duck!and kind staff. Interior is made for a busy lunch place (not for a cozy dinner out)
It was just like being in Taiwan! Loved every bite!
FuCheng is differen than your usual Asian restaurant, its modern. This aspect harmonises perfectly with what you normally expect. It is refreshing to be frank. But lets talk food shall we? My friends and I enjoyed a variety of dishes and we were more than satisfied. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted excellent. They got a lit of vegetarian and vegan items on the menu as well. Only if you read spicy, dont expect traditional Sichuan spicy, we used a good spoonful of the hot sauce on every table to get it spicy ;but that is entirely personal taste. All in all? I can recommend it whole heartedly!p.s: try their Mochi, they are amazing!
The vegan duck is fantastic
Has a great vegan section! The faux chicken is amazing!
Tasty food, polite staff and big portions.
Amazing food and service!
Very good food. Nice staff and fast
Excellent food and service. Nice and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Awesome and authentic vegan asian cuisine! Nice stuff! Love that place!
Im a big fan of Taiwanese beef noodle. And I highly recommend Fu Cheng🍲I visited Fu Cheng the first time on 27 May 2018. We ordered a deep fried plate as appertize, a wok dish and Taiwanese beef noodle. The deep fried plate consisted of dumpling, shrimp and squid, served with marinated radish, carrot, sweet and sour sauce. The portion was enough for 2 and the marinated veggies was tasty! The wok dish was with shrimp, chicken, cashew nuts and paprika. It was on the chef recommendation page and cost more than other wok dishes, therefore my boyfriend was quite looking forward to it. However, he found it just normal and too dried, he would appreciate more if there would be a sauce with it.The Taiwanese beef noodle didnt disappointed me. Portion is good, soup was nicely flavoured with all the spicies, beef qas tender. I highly recommend giving it a try if you are craving for Taiwanese beef noodle or have never tried one yet. Its authentic and a great job with limited ingredients can be found here in Austria/Europe. Im sure Ill go back wherever I miss Taiwanese food. It really satisfied me.I would have given 5🌟 for the noodle, however I have to deduct one for the wok dish!
Great food and friendly service. Menu in English.
Super
I liked this place a lot, good chinese food and modern interior. A little more pricey than usual (12-14 euros for most main dishesbut I would definitely go again.

Yummi food and tea as well as very nice staff. Got some good vegan options. (More than the few shown in the online menu atm)Not a lot of space though, so making a reservation might be a good idea ;)
