Fast food–style spot known for its Belgian fries with dipping sauces, burgers & waffle sticks.
No photos, but all the food is devoured. We wanted the chicken fritters combo but they were out. I got the chicken fritters basket and a few sauces. My favorite sauce was the sweet chili. The chicken was amazing as were the French fries. Generous portions, decent price. We will certainly be back in again. I also loved the cool face paint on the person who took my order!
Ordered the Chicken & Swiss, added bacon and subd onion rings with the Smoked Paprika Aioli 🔥 This place is a hidden gem for sure! Check em out!!
The food and restaurant space were both good. The space although small is relatively clean. The one critique I would give is I would lower the oil temp and try to not overcook the food. The food was freshly cooked and served hot. The sauces were imaginative and quite good. I had the fish nchips. I liked it.
Awesome fried food. I got your fried combo basket and hubby got the bacon cheeseburger. All very fresh and very yummy!
First time here - I got a Beyond Burger with obviously homemade fries. The menu is tastefully and strategically limited and every plate I saw was beautifully crafted. Loved the selection of dipping sauces for the fries! Quick, made-to-order service and delicious burgers/brats/fish and chips.
A typical burger place serving mainly burgers and fries. They have kind of standard options for toppings but a large variety of dipping sauces. The quantity of fries is a lot and can be shared. For vegetarian/vegan they just have one impossible patty option. But make sure the bun is vegan too.
They were out of all menu items except for one. Employees were rude and weird while I tried to look at the menu, off to the side and by myself. Just a strange kind of aggressive experience.
For the price there are better burger places. Their menu focuses on your choice of sauce, which makes the whole experience a bit cliche. It took about 20 min for food to arrive. But the food was hot when it did finally arrive.
Pretty fresh and tasty, but on the more medium expensive side for cost of quality
I only go when Collin is working, he makes great tasting food, and always has a positive attitude. I have been when he isnt there and its just not the same.
amazing burgers, amazing friendly staff, and some of the best damn fries and sauce ive ever had, all for a good price. heavily recommended. i also recommend the avocado garlic wasabi mayo
I wish I could rate this place higher. I have been there twice and both times the grill was broken so he could only serve deep fried food. The 2nd time I went there in addition to the grill being broken his blender was also broken. I fear if he does not start investing in his kitchen he will not be there much longer. All of that being said the food was pretty good and the service was prompt and friendly.
Fish and chips were good. My son wanted a burger but they were out of lettuce and tomatoes. He got the sausage dog instead. He said it was alright. He enjoyed the curry mayo on his fries. We thought their prices a little high...higher than what we saw on their website. But prices are higher these days. Glad that we tried them. We may go again for a burger.
Was pleased with the food. I felt prices for food were fair but prices for fountain drinks were excessive. The place didnt offer much in terms of atmosphere but its downtown location makes it convenient and the bathrooms were clean. Also the joint was being run by a single employee doing everything and he was friendly and accommodating.
We usually eat here at least once a week and absolutely love the chicken strips and fries. They have great tasting sauces too, when they arent sold out. Today, not only were they out of every sauce I usually like but the food was awful. I couldnt even eat half of it because it was so overly cooked. The fries were burnt and unsalted and the portion size was about half of what we usually get. The onion rings were so over cooked that the onions inside turned black. The chicken, which is usually very moist and satisfying, was so dry you could hardly swallow. I really hope it was just an off day because I used to really enjoy eating here but if we have another experience like this we will not be back.*We have been back since and will only go when our favorite workers Colin and Mary are working. They make the food perfect, give amazing customer service and are amazing people.
Stopped in with my family for dinner. As soon as we stepped in the one employee barked at us that they were out of burgers, which was fine. He continued to work the fryers as we discussed what we wanted to order, then he proceeded to ignore us untill he told us a bit later that they were " almost out of fries " suffice to say we left, not because the lack of supplies, but due to the attitude of the employee.
Great pick your toppings and sauces. A bit pricey for a larger group. Great local beer selection.
Fun, funky spot with great music and chill vibe. Got myself a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a side order of zucchini spears. Definitely the way to eat Zucchini. Dipped them in their curry mayo and I couldn’t get enough. Incredible combination. For my fries I got the red pepper mayo and the smoked paprika mayo. The smoked paprika mayo was my favorite of the two but neither surpassed the intensely delicious flavor of the curry mayo. The fries were hot and crispy with the perfect level of saltiness. The burger is a make-your-own sort of deal. I made mine with Mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. The patty is a smash-burger style and had great flavor and the right amount of char. I think next time I’d go with no tomato or lettuce so I can really savor the flavor of the burger and bacon. The bun was a fresh soft bun that tasted like brioche that paired nicely with the charred meat. My only recommendation might be to have some pre-built burger options. I like to eat what the chef’s eating! While sitting here they ran out of chicken strips so it must be a hot item. I’ll grab some on my next trip. I’ll definitely be back!
We stopped by for a late lunch. The burger was juicy and cheesy and the bun was soft and sweet. The fries had a mix of crispy and soft fries to please everyone at the table. I like the crispier ones and these fries were really creamy and delicious. Fritz has lots of sauces to choose from. The honey dijon tastes like Dijon and not like cheap, chain honey mustard. We really enjoyed our meal and would go back.
Best burger Ive had in a long time and the fry sauces are amazing
Very nice people and great food. Underrated place to get food fr. Hope youre having a great day
Got the chicken and swiss. Fritz is still good. Its definitely not like it use to be by the ferry tho. It was phenomenal..good food and lots of it when it was at the old location. New location yes you dont go home smelling like fried food but your portions are smaller and they only carry canned beer..no draft :(. Still a good place to eat at but its not what it use to be. As of late they always have sauces that are out. This is unfortunate cuz they have been known for their fries and sauces.
Sally great staff! And even tastier food fries were amazing and had 10+ sauces on to try from
Awesome little burger joint!! Had great food and an awesome guy working (Saturday 12/11). I was impressed with the selection of dips :we will be back!
There’s a saying that goes like this, “good food shouldn’t be rushed!” The bacon cheeseburger meal and the fish & chips meal my family and I had were some of the best grub we’ve ever had. This joint is a must stop for great grub and honest service. Just be patient! 🍔🍟🍺
Employee was extremely rude while taking order. Made sarcastic remarks towards me and other customers. Missing items from my order and others made incorrectly. Ketchup and Mustard is missing and he put raw mushrooms on my burger. Never got my mozzarella sticks. Been here numerous times and I know the food is amazing. This employee just doesn’t care.
it was great food. small nice place for a date. love their variety of dipping sauce.
Family friendly, chill atmosphere and music, delicious burger and fries and extra chicken strip for the baby- so many sauce choices - we’ll be back - (also free puppet museum nearby)
I love Fritz! Their fries hold a special place in my heart and their burgers are the perfect size. Its always shocking to have them cook your order exactly how you want. "Just tell me what you want and I got you" is so great to hear. The sauces they have are also an absolute treat. My favorite is their red pepper parmesan.
Food was OK, sauces were good. Soda/Ice dispenser machine was green with mold.Brought is to the Operators attention. They responded with "Thats on the outside". They knew about it and were OK with it?!
Food was great both times I went there, however at my second visit the customer service was incredibly poor. In addition to getting annoyed that we wanted burgers, he proceeded to be visibly angry that we got two of the same burgers when he wanted to write up two different tickets, so basically he was mad at us for his own mistake.
Im not sure what sort of magic potatoes these folks are using, but whatever it is, Ill definitely be back for more! My wife and I were just out for a walk on a sunny afternoon and I decided I wanted a quick snack. We popped into Fritz and ordered some fries. I was in no way prepared for what was about hit my face hole! They looked like plain old French fires to me, but I assure you there is something more going on there. Do yourself a favor and just stop by and grab some, you wont be disappointed!
Amazing place to eat!Such likable people at service. Food is wonderful! Their chicken fritters are thin crispy AND juicy! Great homemade fries and variety of wonderful SAUCES!If you wanna eat here make sure its the right location because they just recently moved next to the admiral theatre!
Came here on a sunday on the way home from a 140 mile bikepacking trip. Had a tasty burger, some crispy fries and a cold local beer. There was only 1 employee working but he hustled and got everyone their food. Music was good. Would definitely return.
Excellent fish and zucchini chips. The bacon burger was very tasty. There was a diverse number of sauces to choose from. Backyard barbecue and the sweet chili sauce were delicious.
Excellent food, great prices and super quick too boot. The Red Pepper Parmesan fry sauce was crazy good. Will come back for sure next time in town.
Im so confused by the reviews here...A tiny burger and fries for $10? It tasted decent, but they only brought grilled onions after they gave us our burgers(had to remind themand enough for just one burger. Dipping sauces were okay. The guys working were completely oblivious to when we left (no thank you or good byeand to top it off the music was the weirdest. I honestly could only pick put one song and it was an a cappella version of the Pitates of the Caribbean theme. The rest might have been Gaelic? I dont know! Just a weird, disappointing experience all around.
Best fries ever. No really, the best. The burger was great too.
Food was the booooombbbbbbbbFresh, hot and made with love. Thank you so much 😘 definitely a weekly stop!! Mozz sticks, fish and chips the fresh cut fries omggggg. Cant wait to go back. We went twice in one week
After visiting Quarters arcade where my daughter wanted to take her friends for her birthday instead of a party, we decided to stop in to Fritz (which was just up the streetand grab a bite to eat before heading home. I had with me another adult and 3 girls - 2 of which are extremely picky eaters. 4 out of the 5 of us ordered the Chicken Fritter basket and one of the girls a cheeseburger. I was absolutely blown away, these were the best chicken strips weve had in ages. The perfect amount of crisp, great flavor and perfectly cooked. Every one of us finished our baskets, even the littlest one that we had with us that I dont think Ive ever witnessed finishing a 3 piece nugget, much less something the size of this basket that filled two, not so petite, adults : What made the experience even more memorable is there was only 1 person working inside - the cashier was the cook, the dishwasher - pretty much the everything man and he knocked it all out seamlessly. We live about an hour away but plan to visit again in the near future - we were so happy with the food and the service.
First time in and will be back for sure. My cheeseburger was perfect and oh the yummy perfectly cooked and salted fries. Fast food (but not greasyat a great price. Cant wait to try the sweet potato ones next time. The guy behind the counter was fast, friendly and efficient. Great place to stop in for a quick yummy dinner.
I absolutely loved this place and finally visited again for the 1st time in about a year. The sauces seemed different than what I remember - like store bought instead of homemade. They were out of zucchini fries and I was really looking forward to having them. Im also not happy they switched from Pepsi to Coke, but thats just my personal preference. The staff are super awesome though and the atmosphere is great!
We had the frys. The sauces are great!
So happy to see a vegan option ( just mayo and vegan cheese included!!It was really tasty to boot. The fries are amazing and they have a dedicated fryer for the vegan options. Would come again, I highly recommend! Omni hubby loved his cheeseburger.
Not sure what could be construed as European about the menu.Service was friendly, good, and fairly quick.Price was a bit high: $40 for fries and 3 bacon cheeseburgers.Bacon was a bit too crispy, but the burger was ok. Lots of fries made up for the fact that half of them were throw-always.I suspect this place won’t be here past 2018.
The cod is delicious. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Perfect balance. Dry fish is the worst and it was perfectly juicy. They were out of chips which was kind of a bummer but compensated with extra fish pieces. The variety of sauces is delightful and plenty. Would recommend.
Cooked when you order it so expect a short wait but the food tastes great!
One of my favorite places when waiting for the ferry. Definitely need to be in the mood for fried food. Their thin fried cod fish and chips and chicken strips are awesome. The Wasabi Garlic mayo is really good. My wife loves ranch sauce and had said their Dill ranch is one of her favorites. Highly recommend.
The food is just fine. We enjoyed the waffle sticks. However it took an extremely long time to get the food. The restaurant was short staffed with only one person behind the counter. Our waffle sticks took a very long time to get. And it is not a family-friendly place there inappropriate pictures for sale on the wall. Not really interested in taking my kids someplace where theres nude pictures for sale.
The girls behind the counter are extremely nice. The beer selection leaves something to be desired but what they do have is usually quality.Im not a fan of soggy fries which is what happens when you throw fresh cut fries directly into a fryer but Ive been told I cant complain about that because its just the European style. If you like soggy fries, youll love it. Especially with their awesome custom made dips. The pop culture art for sale on the wall (all drawn on LPsis amazing.
