Friendship Park - National park in Tijuana, Mexico
Good to go
Amazing views and extremely calming!
Very interesting experience to be at the U.S. border with Mexico. I saw lots of people in this area. Beach goers and vendors around.
This park should be a must visit spot on any map. The contrast of freedoms, the food, music and even a workout area. Very cool on weekends when the shamans are in town. #hireahacker #hireahackerpro #tonycapo
Great family trip, people on the beach selling drinks and souvenirs. Weekends gets busy
Best place to visit people at the border. I wish the US would actually let visitors hug and embrace loved ones, though, like in spots on the US-Canada border.
Its a good place to visit. Not that well taken care of. Streets , businesses, lacking maintenance. The view is good. But not much of excitement here. It is the boarder from Mexico and USA.
Tijuana beaches are in need of investments, it looks super sketchy but many people visits it!
Its a meaningful place. Its a raw feeling of me being american born to Mexicans on the other side. Having the ability to go back and forth with ease. Brings the fact of a wall to reality.
if you go to playas de tijuana must need 24$ gas! , is that just am did went there 3 times just to get wet in plain cold winter without sun 2018.
Tried to go here a couple times from the US side during the hours its supposed to be open and we have been turned around about 2 miles away by border patrol. Its not accessible by US citizens. Were not "free" to visit in this country.
The murals are amazing! Love what Mexico has done with The Wall.
Obviously, the value of this place is symbolic. You can literally touch the wall around the USA and look through to see the guard towers and searchlights. This place reminds you that San Diego-Tijuana is the largest divided city in the world.
Loved the sinset sns thf friendliness and koy on the Tijuana side . Nothing happening on the American side..it felt like a restricted area. Not a soul in sight....Only seagulls..
Everyone was friendly and the shrimp are delightful... Had the best twice baked chicken wings at the wood fired pizza joint on the corner... Might just be the best ever... and the pizza is bomb too... cant remember name but its the only pizza spot so,,,, Get sum!!
This is a nice park next to a boardwalk. Great views and good food.
Lots of paintings along the wall and some cool wings painted on the building across from the wall. There’s a bathroom open in the day time there an a strip or bars and restaurants. The views to the other side are amazing seeing San Diego in the distance.
Nice place with many things to eat and drink.you can park in the streets across and walk aver all the way to the beach.
A good place for a walk and to really feel the rawness of reality. I was saddened to see how many US military veterans have been deported. Theres plenty of food options along the walk, from fish tacos to hamburgers, fresh coconuts and candy.
Very beautiful park and so sad to see the Trump wall extending into the water. The names of deported US military veterans is very sad. The people of Tijuana were very friendly and hospitable. Will go again.
The 1 star is for the sadness this place projects... With the US border wall and the immigration crisis that is happening right now. Still a must-see. Buy some churros from the street vendors.
This beach/park area felt safe and nice to exercise early morning
Plenty restaurants to choose from not as crowded as expected.
Last time I went I have the time of my crazy life the sunsets and the soup d of the waves beautiful
Great art along the wall. Restrooms available. Views of the ocean are amazing. The TIJUANA letters are found here. Plenty of free parking and paid parking ($50pesos). Plenty eateries along the water. Enjoy
Great view of Tijuana, Mexico and the border wall which stretches from yards into the Pacific Ocean eastward as far as the eyes can see. Sunday, the US side allows visitors from the US (San Diego sideto enter the border zone between the US wall and the Mexican wall / fence. There you can chat face to face, albeit with a fence between, with the Tijuana locals or listen to a Sunday sermon in Spanish. Topics generally lean to the political and sometimes any American so be prepared. The US border guard was engaging and helpful to the tourists and locals visiting. Very interesting...
Good spot to train parkour
Cool area if you like to people watch. Decent food places, a bit over priced. Interesting place in Playas De Tijuana.
My mini vacation loved it just cant believe u have to pay to go to the restroom lol
Great scenery. Love the work done with the board walk. And they are cleaning up the place. Keep it up!
Super crowded! There needs to be more parking spots. We were lucky not to drive. Our poor Uber driver took forever to arrive we felt so bad for him !
Fun place. Good food!
So beautiful! I love the art and its history 😊
Good for walking the dog and taking him out to place when short on time. Clean, quite and close. Lots of stray dogs though.
If you havent seen the border fence from the Guacamole side, you havent seen the border fence. Friendship Park is amazing.
Highly adventurous and thrilling park. We didnt get to see people are talking from both side bcoz of illegal crossings. But we saw people crossing illegally and caught by the border patrol. It was thrilling and scary.
This place have a sad and happy history behind.... families who cant cross the border see and talk each other trough a fence where they can barely touch by the pinky. There its always somebody to tell you everything about it.
Its very small and theres not much to it, with a small childrens jungle Jim, but the fence running alongside it is quite the attraction. It is part of a larger area that features a lighthouse, and a statue of swimming dolphins.
I liked it but the restaurants are very expensive.
Wonderful place to see people and enjoy art.The tagging on the border wall is positive and full of love. This place really expresses the heart of Mexico.
Interesting .. Kinda sad to see a wall we should be building bridges instead of walls.. And maybe area needs a paint. . just saying. .
Got wrong and ended up in Tijuana, eventually was fun ,Mexican police was kind my only fear was entering back to the states as police border r usually nasty . Thanks God we came across a nice cop.
I would say that it is a beautiful and peaceful place. Love taking walks here. Wish they open the back half more often so that we can get into the park easily. It would waste our time while entering the park from the front end. Hope it will be done soon. Rest 5 stars for the cleanliness.
Great for my kids to see. Saw lots of patrols going on. Helicopters too. Eye opening for my children.
Southwest corner of USA. the park is very simple but the place is unique and invokes so many feelings . you can look through the fence and see life on tijuana side. the views of pacific ocean are amazing , specifically if you get there at sunset times. there is about a mile long (one waywalk from the parking lot (outside the gates. During summer months apparently the gates are open and you can drive all the way up to the park.
Having a good time at the Boardwalk in Playas de Tijuana. Just wish it was a little cleaner for visitors to enjoy.
Somber place but important to go and witness. To their credit, the border patrol guards were really friendly and helpful and nice here.
This is one of the most happy, hopeful and saddest places Ive ever visited. It is the point were the border wall between the US and Mexico stretches into the Pacific Ocean. Every weekend for a few hours the U.S. side is accessible and families separated by immigration status are able to meet and have a conversation through the tiny holes in the mesh. The U.S. side is otherwise barren with only Border Patrol agents and their vehicles roaming the area. On the Mexican side you will find beautiful murals, art displays, families enjoying the beach, food vendors, and a jovial environment. This is a must visit for anyone in Tijuana or San Diego.
This is such a interesting place to visit where you can see the u.s Boarder wall go into the Ocean and all the high teach cameras from the i.s boarder side its just interesting to see .
Great little area to exercise while enjoying the beach
