I just love this guy! Akram is very kind and caring for his guests and he can tell you a lot of interesting stories. Just visit him, like I do nearly every year... You wont be disappointed!!!

Awesome Palestinian hospitality! The hosts were super helpful in all aspects - getting around, finding transport etc. We took the guided tour and it was outstanding - it was a great oportunity to hear what Palestinians think of the history, culture and politics of this place. Highly recommended!

Super clean and luxurious great WiFi and location, free water bottles tea and coffee. Youll be treated like family!

The host, Akram, is beyond a kind and knowledgeable person who really knows what is happening and what happened in Jericho. He is willing to connect you with local people so that you can really get a deeper understanding of the situation in Hebron. He and his friends will invite you for tea, coffee, and sheesha so definitely come here for the hosts hospitality. You will also get to know some interesting travelers here (I was quite lucky that the day I stayed was almost fully booked and the social scene is amazing). Beyond all these, the hostel is located right in the middle of the souq and is only a few minutes walk from the old city. Really come here for the superb hospitality and the location.The only thing I liked less (its not that I didnt like itwas the size of the males dorm which was not that spacious and the facilities are a bit old. But all in all, you are not coming for the room and facilities, you are most likely coming for the history and the culture. Very cost-effective so still highly recommended.

Good location, 6 minutes walk from the bus station, 3 minutes walk to the city center. The breakfast is very tasty and the place is comfortable, clean and very safe, you will get a lot of information about the culture and history. The owner of the house will make you feel at home and they are very hosts, highly recommend this place! Extremely safe and perfect for a local experience

Hard to not love this place. And of course its not about the building. Its about the host. Akram is a really special, deep, kind and loving individual. If you ever have the chance of meeting him, do it. It will enrichen your life!

The room was clean, the staff was a very friendly family, Akram was quite helpful. The price was reasonable and the location is good. You have a nice view from the balcony of your room and just a short walk to the old town of Hebron and its historical places

Akram (the owner of the hostelwas really friendly and accommodating. He made sure that I had everything I needed and took me all over Hebron. He informed me about the history, architecture, culture, political situation of the city and so much more. If youre planning a trip to Hebron, this is definitely the place to stay. Akram and his friends really make the hostel feel like home. I couldnt have asked for a better stay.

I have been wanting to write this review in so long, but the fact I am only doing it now shows, that I am still thinking about the stay in Hebron with Akram and how much I have enjoyed it. We were three friends coming to Al Khalil and had the most welcoming and heartwarming arrival one could imagine. Akram is an incredibly friendly host, very helpful and full of interesting stories about the city and the area, so we definitely learned a lot. He knows where to get the best Hummus in town, ice cream, Falafel or Shawarma. The hostels interior is so original and a very selected collection of furniture, objects and details. They all seem to tell a story and have clearly been chosen with a lot of care. So discovering the small hostel, the pictures on the wall, the lamps, the Hookah on the chimney or the pottery in the kitchen is delightful. The Hostel also has a roof terrace, which is an amazing place to relax after intense days in Hebron, because the city is full of contrasts. It felt good to have this space to calm down and reflect the daily impressions. I am recommending this place to anyone, who is interested in culture, in learning about Palestinian life, in getting to know people, food.. I recommend it to anyone who likes feeling welcome and to anyone who wants to discover the most beautiful way to enter a hostel.... And then staying at the best place you can possibly find in this town. Akram, thank you so much for your time and the way you showed us around. After 8 months I am thinking about Friends Hostel and what an amazing time we had with you. One last word: شكرا

I had such a great time with Akram, he is really kind and care a lot about his hosted. I helped him to reference the hostel in websites, so that he gave me the host. He was really one the best person Ive volunteer with, he learned me arabic, took me with his friends, gave me tours and explanations about the city, etc. even when he dont have so much time he will take it for you.Also Ive seen how he is caring about the travellers, he have a lot to give.So if you want a good time with a smiling young guy, in a familly hostel perfectly situate in the old city of hebron, dont hesitate to go there!

After arriving in Hebron very late with no booking, I was very lucky to be welcomed by friends hostel. The host, Akrem, is truly one of the nicest people that you will ever meet, he is so welcoming friendly and forthcoming. For anybody that wants to hear a nuanced view about what is happening in Hebron, about its history and future, then this is the right place to stay. Akrem provided me with so much knowledge and arranged for me to meet numerous people so that I could gain a real insight into what it is like to live in Hebron. The city is truly amazing but staying with Akrem in Friends hostel was really the highlight. The hostel is very new and I would urge anybody to go and support this venture. However, it is more like being welcomed into a home than stopping in a hostel. I also had the opportunity to meet some of Akrems friends he is clearly very popular! There is a really hot shower and fantastic breakfast included and the rate is incredibly cheap for such a great experience.The location is very unique as Akrem will kindly share with you it is central to the story of Hebron and just a few metres from the old town which is rich in Palestinian history.

Get the full Hebron experience, by staying in the heart of the old town, tour and Hostel in Same place .- This is truly a friends hostel. Ameer and Akram will take good care of you and guide you through Hebron. If you were to do it alone, youd probably get lost or walk into the wrong neighbour hoods. Hebron is a city fueled with tensions and you should have someone to show you around. Akram is the perfect guy for that. - Breakfast was amazing, like many other hostels Ive stayed before... Akram also served traditional breakfast: hummus etc. BUT everything was made fresh in a local shop nearby, unlike many other hostels who serve it out of the box - purchased in a big container in a supermarket. - Comfortable beds, feels cozy overall.

When we say "friends hostel " that really mean friends not like other Hostels , Akram and just Akram , the property is a former house and the feel definitely encapsulates this. He owner always said “this is your home!” and it felt like it. It is a quaint and simple home. I felt right at home. This hostel is comfortable, simple, clean and offers all the amenities you need. The location is very central and it is easy to reach the religious sites, shopping areas and old town. The included breakfast was freshly collected by the owner each morning after we shared a pot of coffee. He ensured we ate a traditional breakfast with Falafel, fool, hummus and bread. If you want an authentic experience living in a Palestinian home with an owner that has a wealth of information about Hebron, Palestine and related conflict - then I cannot recommend this hostel more! It is a simple home with unbelievable hospitality. I came to Hebron wishing to learn about the culture and I left with friendship and knowledge. Thank you for my stay. It was incredible.

It really felt like staying at friend’s house in Friends Hostel. Basheer is most friendliest host I’ve ever met, and he was hanging out with us all day, and took us around the city for free and really showed how is life in Hebron. He also served traditional breakfast. The hostel itself is not the most comfortable, but what lacks in comfort makes up in hospitality! Take notice that the hostel is really hard to find, and you should have tel. number before arriving! Overall unique experience!

This hostel (guesthouseis in an ideal location, between the servees station and the Old City and its souq. It is on Shalallah Old Street a short distance from Bab az-Zawiye, a major intersection. Akram and his friends will do their best to make you feel comfortable and help you get acquainted with their beloved city. His English is more than adequate to convey both practical information and social and cultural context. Or you can just relax in the common room or the bedroom. I stayed two nights in the private room.

Akram is one of the most friendly and hospitable people you’ll meet. He really cares about showing his guests the reality of life in Hebron while also making them feel welcome in his city. On top of that, the hostel is centrally located, and the beds are clean and comfortable. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I stayed here for a night only and I wish I could adjust my plans to stay longer. This place is comfortable and clean. There is also a nice terrace here.Staying here was the best part of my trip to Palestine. Akram, the owner, is a really kind, hospitable, friendly and open-minded person. He gave good recommendations to me and my friend about what to see in Hebron and even introduced us his family at the traditional Friday lunch which which I appreciated so much! Its a big honor for me to have that experience.Definitely, Friends Hostel is absolutely appropriate name for this place. I felt at Friends Hostel like home rather than hostel.

It was really an unique experience to stay at Friends hostel in Hebron! Akram is very nice and welcoming host (and his friends also). He spend a lot of his time with us, took us to some great places, told us a lot about the city, their culture and even Hebrons political issues and gave us some good recommendations.The hostel itself is really nice, comfortable and clean. You are not squashed into a small space there as its quite common at some hostels. Its more like a cozy guest house than a hostel.It is quite difficult to find the entrance to the hostel even when you have a map with you, so dont hesitate to ask the locals around (you will eventually find it! We had to ask a lot :D).PS. Another great thing is a delicious traditional breakfast and tasty (and strong!coffee, which is included :)

Mega schönes Guesthouse mit drei Zimmern, gemütlichen Wohnzimmer und Küche in top Lage direkt am Basar. Akram der Betreiber ist ein mega freundlicher Student der sich sogar die Zeit genommen hat mir etwas die Stadt zu zeigen. Ich hoffe ich kann irgendwann nochmal hin! Mir hat es mega gut gefallen :D

헤브론에서 여기 호스텔에서 머물면서 정말 좋은 추억들 많이 만들고 왔네요 ㅋ그 때 저 밖에 손님이 없어서 그런지 호스텔 주인이 자기 친구들 데리고 저녁도 만들어주고 헤브론 동네 구경도 시켜주고 밤 늦게까지 헤브론에 대한 얘기도 해주면서..혼자 여행 가기에 심심하신 분이나 친구 사귀고 싶으신 분 있으면 여기에서 머무는 것도 좋을 듯 하네요 ^^전문적인 호스텔이 아니라 일반집을 깔끔하게 꾸며놔서 그냥 관광만 하실 분들은 실망할 수도 있지만 저는 혼자가서 너무 좋은 시간 보내고 왔네용 ㅋ올드 스트리트 내에 있어서 혼자 찾아가기엔 어렵고 아마 주인이 연락을 줄거예요ㅋ 헤브론에 버스에서 내리면 픽업도 해주고요I had made a lot of good memories at this hostel. Hostel owner is so friendly and so kind. He treated me good diner with his friends and guide for me about Hebron. We were talking about Hebrol and many things. It is good for me like single tourist to stay here.It is hard to find this hostel because it is located at the old street. But owner probably would pick up you by his car.Anyway, so nice place !😊

ベツレヘムからバスが着くバス停から歩いて行けます。中心地から近く、買い物にも困りません。僕は日本から訪れましたが、とても快適に過ごすことができました。ヘブロン行ったら、また必ずここに泊まります。ほんとオススメの宿。
