Friendly's in Uniondale

There was 4 little toddlers there that day, but one little boy was very loud and rude....it got nice and quiet after they left.

Friendly staff; customer service was just okay, average just like the food. Its more for kids and seniors. Personally would not recommend for other people. The food isnt worth the price.

Absolutely disgusted. Spend money to get take out and it’s slopped together with no care in the world. Burger undercooked. See the pictures of the loaded fries! I would not recommend coming to this establishment!

Bad experience, Ive been wanting for almost 30 minutes and they never say that my order was ready.

After school lunch with my 3 yo and 6 mo. old. Expecting the baby to be the reason we throw everything into to go bags and leave early - but it was the 3 yo. But we didnt leave early. Our waitress saw the coming storm and brought some crayons and paper, which held his attention long enough for the food to arrive. Good save!

Went to the Friendlys on Hempstead Turnpike. Easy to see why this chain resturant has closed many locations. While it features a ample parking lot and spacious seating, this is where the Friendlyness ends.Having revamped their menu, many of the old favorites are gone, replaced with questionable choices such as the Doritos burger with the chips toppingthe myriad of other things piled on top of it. Our server, a young girl didnt know what a pattymelt was and never heard of it. After explaining what it was, she happily said she would see if the kitchen could make it. What I got was anything unlike the old favorite served years ago. It consisted of under cooked ground beef with a marginal amount of onions and hardly any cheese on sound kind of marble bread that they said was rye.The other entree was their country chicken wrap. This consisted of chicken, lettuce and tomatoes in a wrap with a vinegarete sauce, which was requested to be on the side, but was coated over the wrap.The heat quality was lacking on both items and the fries as if they needed to be refreshed. The onion rings were good, but cut very thick.In looking at the ice cream and dessert menu, many of these favorites are gone. Like most ice cream places, chopped peanuts as a topping is gone in favor of the food police. Some of the old flavors are also gone in favor of their best selling ones. Every thing seems to have a coating of whipped cream on it, from tge ice cream to the milk shakes.There was a time that Friendlys evoked good tasty dinning that was not just for kids. But it appears the lackluster has gone.While I may choose to grab a pint or quart from my local supermarket freezer, dinning at their resturant is no longer on my menu choice

I have been going to Friendlys since the dawn of time. I love the Food, atmosphere, and everything in-between. 4 people $60. A little pricey. So its up to you. Hope this helps.

Very nice family friendly and clean place. Our waitress was great and very attentive. Food was good and tasty. Will be returning.

I kinda liked it better when Ron the owner was in charge and at the restaurant. Service was faster. Way too slow to attend.I didn’t get good vibes from manager Kathy at my last visit

Food is alright and the wait staff is friendly. Restaurant definitely needs some updates - seats are literally falling apart. Also, I feel bad for the patrons who are seated near the bathroom. They should build a wall at the last booth or something. Seems awkward they literally see into the bathroom if anyone enters or exits. Im assuming they hear the flushes as well. In addition, someone left the sink on since its not an automatic sink. Its 2022. I think you could update the sink.

Food and ice cream are great. Service is ALWAYS slow as turtles!

Excellent customer service. The food was great i got the all American burger and it was well balanced and flavorful. The patty was also very juicy.

The food is good. This location is understaffed, and quite dirty. The bathrooms are gross, and there are flying bugs all over the restaurant.

Truly wonderful service ❤️ and we were a large group for a kids birthday dinner, which isnt easy. The ice cream and fribbles were as delicious as always. And the m&m pancakes are my sons favorite (although, they arent doing breakfast all day anymore, so check before you go if youre going for pancakes)

Wow, so sad that the staff (at least 2work so hard seating, serving and even in the kitchen. Left without the ice cream order since it just took so long. I cant imagine that they cant hire more help. Way too long of a wait and so many others here were waiting long too. We wont be back. Wish I read the other reviews before wasting so much time there. Food was good (not greatnot worth the wait.

As long as you have 2+ hours to wait around in a freezing cold restaurant it’s ok. Otherwise, hard pass next time

My grandchildren loved the food and most definitely they loved the ice cream 🍦 😋 The waitress was very kind. We had a great time!

I used to love Friendly’s and would come every week, but their bad business decision of getting rid of their tasty and popular mini mozzarella sticks and replacing them with cheap, bland mozzarella sticks has made me never step foot in a Friendly’s since.

Everything was good food nice and fresh and the person who took our order name Nick was very friendly and polite. Plus treated us as a customer will go back for the nice service and place was nice and clean

Service is VERY slow every time we go. I know there are staff shortages so dont blame them. Staff is friendly and reliable. Just hard to wait so long for food and drinks with 3 kids at a kids restaurant

The kids loved it, especially their desserts. The waiter was very friendly and attentive despite having many tables to wait on.

Maureen was fantastic! It was very busy and she was meeting everyones needs as soon as possible. She even kept her cool with rude customers. She is a gem!

The other night I messed up and ordered pickup on their app instead of delivery! I live 20 minutes away and realized five minutes before this store closed. I called them panicked!!! Justin and Joshua went out of their way for me!!!! Joshua came and delivered it to me free!! This poor kid was heading home and he went out of his way to deliver my ice cream that I would have been charged and not got to eat!! I cannotthank these guys enough for saving my night!!! I will love Friendly’s forever!! Thank you guys!!

Always a great spot for the family to sit-in and eat. Never a wait time. Staff is polite and friendly. Restrooms are always clean. Plenty of parking. Never over priced

We go there quite often and we are always happy with the service we get. Maureen and Nick usually serve us and we have only positive interactions with them. They are wonderful at their jobs and treat people with respect.

Its been a long time since I last ate at Friendlys. (the one in Wantagh closed about 10 years agoI got the Clams Platter with fries and a side of O-Rings. Literally everything was perfect. Hot, crisp and delicious is how I would describe each item I ordered. Service was friendly and food came quick. Free scoop of ice cream included. The only issue I had was that I and all the patrons were seated in the same small section in an otherwise empty restaurant. Go to Friendlys before theyre all gone!

I was there twice in the last few months. The first time was a good experience and the food was pretty good. The second time wasn’t a good experience . The waitress wasn’t too nice to my 6 year old daughter. My daughter was excited to order her dessert called “dirt.” The waitress said something along the lines of “yes I know I heard you the 3 times you said you wanted it.” I feel that a grown person shouldn’t talk to an excited kid that way. Also, it took so long for our dessert to come out. I probably won’t be going back.

Wonderful service. Awesome deals. But food is way TOO SALTY. Besides that; I appreciate them cutting the cake for us and singing Happy Birthday for my little cousin.

One star because 0 stars are not acceptable. I placed my order, brought it home and found missing items. I called and requested a credit on my card (that I used to pay for my order( and was told by the manager of the East Meadow store she had no way to give me a credit. Her register would not allow her to do it. Waiting to hear from the CEO about the fact that Friendlys is charging and taking your money but not giving you what you ordered. I understand everyone makes mistakes but I shouldnt literally have to pay for Friendlys error. Where I come from they call that stealing.

Surprisingly tasty Clam chowder, Full of clams and the right consistency. Really well executed.The Turkey dinner was overly salty however, not nicely plated and corn as only vegetable is ridiculous when it is not wartime...The delicious icecream sundae made things right however.Service was friendly.

Gerianne was my waitress she is the sweetest thing and very attentive even though it was so busy! Very quick service and so kind. Me and my husband appreciated it how nice she was to our kids

We enjoyed the 1/2 price appetizers and dessert. Service was okay. They were quite busy when we arrived just after 8. There needed to be more servers and food came out very slowly.

So the food was alright. Not terrible by any means but not great. The staff was nice but the ice cream was great and that was winner.

Been coming here for years; top notch staff and really great food. All day breakfast is served at this Friendlys and the omelets are the best; Ive paid nearly three times as much for almost the same type of omelet at a fancy upscale hotel restaurant buffet that couldnt compare. I recently had the latest edition of the Vermonter Burger that was a long ago favorite many and has returned; its better than ever and it brought back a load of memories. And theres always that wonderful ice cream! This is one of the Friendlys that was completely renovated a couple of years ago, and its better than ever. While other restaurants have struggled during the COVID pandemic, this Friendlys is always crowded to its permitted capacity (with masks, social distancing and other safety precautionsat the dinner hours, so theyre obviously doing something right.

My first time there..I give 4 stars because when I first went in I stood there for about 5 minutes because no one greeted me. There was no sign saying "wait to be seated" I was just not sure...anyway food was OK my daughters worms in dirt sundae added the extra star .Our server was friendly . would go back

The food was good. The service was horrible! Went there for lunch with my some and his friend after a sporting competition to celebrate. Food plates sitting for ever after we were finished eating. Finally he came to clear them after I hunted him down. We asked to place ice cream orders he said I will be back in a few. Then 20 min later I had to ask another server to hunt him down. Then waited 20 more min while he cleaned every table and seated all new customers before he brought out the ice cream. I felt like I was there for hours. I asked the waiter Nicholas # 693054 If I did something to offend him to cause suck bad service and he said no. I just had a lot of Uber Eates orders to fill. Just and aggravating experience !

My tuna melt was cold so I could only eat half of it. They are cheap with their creamers. My friend said the mac and cheese could be better.

This Friendlys often has good lunch specials. I appreciate the easy parking situation and the location. Its a good spot to quickly get some burgers and fries. Their home-fried potatos are good but you can tell they were frozen so minus 5 points for not having fresh potatoes. Their french fries are thick and pretty tasty so that makes up for the potatoes. The burger is actually pretty good I ordered the bacon double cheese burger. I liked it a lot. My friend got a bacon, egg and cheese and he said its his go to Friendlys choice. Overall i give this Friendlys a 3.5 out of 5. They didnt do anything wrong but its not meant to be a 5 star experience. I would go back but I wouldnt go out of my way to get there.

Our server, Miguel, was attentive in taking the order even though we were an almost 20 person group. He explained the menu thoroughly, gave us really great recommendations, and was friendly, which made our experience there a great one. Thanks, Migi! :)

Geeted by a pink sign asking to wait. There was no personnel at the front of the store. Eventually, someone from another group waiting to be seated walked over to the kitchen to ask if someone would eventually come out to help.Soon after a young gentleman walked out, reiterated the sign, and told us we had to wait. He did not seem concerned, and his demeanor was not the friendliest.Eventually, when we did get seated we were introduced to Cristina, who did a great job waiting our table. The dessert and her positive attitude made up for a lack-luster greeting.Would revisit again.

I hadnt been the a Friendlys in so long that when I went, I felt like I was zapped back into my childhood. The ice cream was just as good as I remembered it. With the waffle cone? Mm-mm. The burgers and sandwiches are very good. The breakfast(which is now all dayis good. I got the Big-Two-Do with cinnamon roll pancakes(for .99 more), scrambled eggs, and bacon. The Munchie Mania(3 appetizersis a nice meal. It is the only appetizer not included in the half-priced apps. Everytime I go, I get a Waffle Cone. It is so good, the only thing I have to say is the paper that goes around the cone has glue that sticks onto the cone.

This Friendlys location is great for kids. I have 3 toddlers and theyre all nuts, especially when they eat sugar. So we like taking them here because they wait staff and other customers are very patient and (excuse the punfriendly. Today, our waitress was Gerrianne and she was excellent! Every single time we come here. My kids loooove the cool drinks they have, one is called sharks in the water. It has gummi sharks swimming in a blue colored sprite. The kids meals are very cost effective and come with an ice cream. There are healthy options if you want, most people dont realize this. Keep in mind they are friendly... Not fast, and not always accurate with the order, but always friendly. A great place for a toddlers birthday dinner.
