Fríða Kaffihús in Tórshavn
Description
Fantastic cafe/restaurant serving fabulous beer and the food looked pretty good but didnt sample as time didnt allow. At the end of bus route 400 from Torshvan(£10 each way .2hrs from Torshvan)
MoreHands down the BEST carrot cake I’ve ever had in my life. We went back a second time during our stay in the Faroe Islands just to have it again!
MoreCosy bar in the center of Klaksvik. Excellent cakes as a snack for after your hike and great, affordable dinner options if youre more hungry. Definitely worth a stop!
MoreAn incredibly tasty burger and potatoes. Do it!
We had hot chocolate and Cappuccino with oat milk. Unfortunately there was no vegan cake.Chocolate-banana and apple-cinamon were delicious though
MoreHad the lamb soup as they were out of fish soup. Quite good!
Really nice place to have a coffee and a lunch. Appreciate the atmosphere and the quality of food and drinks
MorePopular spot for people hopping off the ferry to Kalsoy. Cakes were nice, but service was a little disorganised with food being served to wrong tables. Rhubarb tart was delicious.
MoreDelicious fish soup option with a wonderful tiramisu latte, simple and visually appealing interior and located close to the water and some wildlife.
MoreNice place with gluten free options
The first time we were last year and we were very pleased with the decor, coffee and cake. After a year, we visited this place again and we are just as pleased with the service and coffee. We will definitely come by again during our stay 😊🎉PSI went back for Oreo coffee and carrot cake 😋😋😋Update: Were back again. Hot chocolate - yummy! and panna cotta coffee - very interesting
MoreDelicious salad, bread and coffee. Very cozy atmosphere.
Burgers are delicious and literally made our day. Cakes taste good as well.Coffee is average.
MoreTasty food, good location, pleasant staff
Discovered this place via Google Map. Lovely coffee, moist chocolate & banana cake and hearty fish soup. Recommended to drop by this cafe.
MoreThe worst fish soup I have ever had. It was cold and too salty. Even after I asked to get it warmer I just got another bowl which was also cold. I paid 120 DKK for two little pieces of bread basically. Dont eat a meal there, stick to coffee.
MoreFabulous food! Nice local beer and that cider was amazing!
Very nice. Good cake and drink selection
Very cute and modern cafe in Klasvik! We stayed near Torshavn and this was well worth the drive. My family enjoyed the breakfast platters which included coffee and juice, and we thought the price was okay given that everything is expensive in the Faroe Islands. We liked it so much that we returned later that day for a burger and some juices! It seems quite popular place with both locals and tourists, but it’s pretty big inside so seating shouldn’t be an issue.
MoreThis place is ADORABLE and very accommodating. I took a large group here recently and, despite some logistical difficulties on our end, their staff worked tirelessly to make some of the best meals we ate on the Faroe Islands. A couple people from my group returned here later for coffee, tea, and beers and had a wonderful experience. Thanks to all the incredibly kind staff who helped us with our order!
MoreReally cool experience, nice cakes and good hot chocolate there !
shrimp croissant is goodgood food pleasant space
Wonderful food & service!
Great burger and local beer.
Poor quality fish and the waitresses refuse to admit it. If the restaurant had a good reputation at least, it is only when you sit down that you realise how dirty it is. Not recommended
MoreGreat place! The chef was great to us and present us with a wonderful meal!
The fishsoup, carrot cake and glutenlactose free apple cinnamon marzipan cake were absolutely delicious. Staff is very friendly, quick service. Loved it!
MoreBurger was 100%, and 0.75 size beer - just bomb.
The carrot cake was a bit dry and a little too sweet but the salad was good though.👍cappuccino and juice were good too👍
MoreGood place for a coffee when in town or waiting for the ferry or a bus.
Nice cakes and hot drinks.
This is a very cosy cafe by the harbour in a new modern building. We ordered the beef burger and soft drinks. Prices reasonable as it is the faroe island. You can order coffee to-go just ask.No wifi in a modern cafe was a big disappointment.
MoreGreat coffe, nice place.Good food.
This is a very cosy cafe by the harbour with fantastic views to complement the meal. The staff with friendly and approachable. We ordered the beef burger and chicken salad. Both were good and portions filling (would have been better if the pan fried potatoes were not sold out!). The Nordic Cider by Foroya Bjour and Chai latte were great too. I would highly recommend to drop by this cafe if you are in Klaskvik.
MoreI have been to 83 countries, I ate countless cakes, and the carrot cake is hands down the best cake I ever had in my 29 year old life. Coffee is also great.
MoreQuite good pies and cakes. Poor, thin, flavourless Americano from old beans.Nice interior in the café.
MoreNot worth it.We had the breakfast platter, because we were denied the burger, because they didnt serve lunch for another 20 minutes. The breakfast consisted of a single small piece of rye bread, a bun, a slice of cheese, a bit of brie, a slice of serrano ham, a single fried egg, a slice of bacon, a small cup of yoghurt and a few nuts and pieces of fruit. The coffee was weak and watery and a bit cold.Overall a very disappointing experience and I wont come back for breakfast.
MoreWe ate a breakfast there, that was really nice. Probably the best place in the area. We bought sandwiches for the hikes, which were pretty good. We ate burgers for dinner which were quite fatty, but tasted good. All in all we were quite satisfied.
MoreMenu was in Danish, but the friendly staff answered our questions quickly even when it was bustling with people. We got the double cheeseburger, a salmon salad, and carrot-ginger-orange juice.
MoreWonderful cafe at the Dock in klaksvik. The brunch is amazing, fresh ingredients and newly baked bread!
MoreThe best place in Klaksvík to have a bite. It‘s very cozy and the staff are really friendly. We had the brunch-buffet and it was really good. 75 Kroner, what a price (normally it‘s 150, but still what a deal!). Sadly they close at 14:00...
MoreFrida is a small but cozy and lovely coffee house where you can sit down and enjoy a good cup of coffee and other beverages with a lovely piece of cake or some delicious food with your friends or family.I have enjoyed many good times at the coffee house Frida with my friends and family. I can certainly recommend their delicious breakfast and the many other delicious and tempting dishes on the menu and of course the wide range of hot drinks and other beverages.
MoreBeen here three times during our seven day vacation. Really good cake, nice personnel and I can really recommend the brunch on Saturdays! Especially when the weather isnt that good its getting really cosy inside.
MoreNice cosy cafe in the hear of Klaksvik. Excellent coffee, service and mouthwatering cakes! Would definitely recommend.
MoreGreat Coffee and food, pretty interior and friendly staff!
Wonderful coffee shop on the water with good food.
Stumbled upon this cafe while exploring Klaksvik. All five of us got something different from the menu. Super delicious! What a gem. Staff was very friendly. Beautiful location on the water. Highly recommend!
MoreThe tapas were the perfect way to get a taste of the Faroe Islands for a reasonable price. We shared it between two people and were very satisfied after ending the meal with some delicious cake.
MoreLovely café in the centre of Klaksvík. Main meals served too, the salt fish bacalao was delicious. Another day the rhubarb tart was heavenly after a hike. I hear the carrot cake is really good too! Very friendly service and very accommodating of my attempts at Faroese! English works too! Nice balcony if it is warm enough.
MoreI had a very good experience at this place. My friend and I arrived just after noon after a long hike. This was our first time in Klaksvik, and I definitely want to come back again, was just a lovely experience all around, and this lovely Cafe helped with that. They had just stopped serving breakfast when we got there, so the cook herself came up and told us some options she was working on. I got the soup of the day and a plate of faroese tapas, as well as a spicy hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was actually spicy, which made me so happy (its all syrup and sugar in America, this one actually tasted like it had real ingredients and was DELICIOUS). The soup of the day was a vegetable base with mussels and prawns, also delicious and very filling. The Faroese tapas plate was all locally grown/caught and traditional food and it was amazing in my opinion. It was similar to a cheese/meat plate, and there were sauces and garnishes with every selection that matched very well. Drooling just remembering it.Id highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to try a selection of faroese food or just enjoy a good cup of coffee in a comfortable atmosphere.
