Really good place to dine in on the river line. The waiters are really nice. They dont speak so much English but they are happy to help you in any way. You can opt for the English menu. The burgers are really tasty and you dont have to wait much for the food to come.

We only sat down for refreshments. Nice outdoor seating next to a stream. The place was very busy. Nice full service restaurant indoors. There is so an outdoor kiosk preparing barbecue burgers. Traditional Hungarian food at reasonable prices. Everything looked good.

Just like a little Oasis. A lovely, heartfelt place with great staff and good food.

The staff was friendly, service was quick thanks to the adequate staffing. We tried the hamburger and some desserts at the end. Food was good enough, some more spice would have been even better, but it was good. Prices are high, as most of the restaurants in such a nice environment.

We were here 2 times. First time we tried burgers, those were ok but nothing special. No "OMG" feeling just a general burger. Second time we tried steak and chicken. The steak was salty and the chicken had raw parts which made our lunch quite unpleasant. We had to wait quite long time to be able to pay, but after the third time we asked for the bill, we got the bill. Hugo cocktail was good though and the place has a nice environment.We heard lot of good things about this place, but it was a quite big disappointment for us each time.

Waited 105 minutes for a burger. Kids got tired before the food arrived so we had to leave. Pathetic.(In fairness, we’ve enjoyed this place before and it was a favorite. But won’t now be going back)

Nice place on the foot of the castle hill of Veszprém next to the Séd stream. The place is a renovated old building, very stylish and good decorated inside. The food is great, there are various kind of meats and veggies, and wide range of beverages. The staff is very kind and helpful, the serving is pretty fast. Absolutely recommend.

I have been here a few times, as I love Veszprem, has such a fab vibe. We were served by the friendly and English speaking Bálint, who remembered us from our last visit, nearly a year earlier, impressive. The food is burgers and such, delicious, love the red cabbage salad served in glass jar. Setting is lovely, cheery, next to a small stream, next to the castle walls. We will be back. Thank you.

This was a really enjoyable random find after checking the castle! The place offers a variety of (excellentfood and drinks, there is outdoor seating, good and relatively quick service even at peak hours. (Or I assume Saturday afternoon to be a peak hour.The outdoor area is quite enjoyable to spend some time in. Prices are acceptable for a trendy place like this, and the food was really quite good. I can really recommend, if you are in the area!

We could sit outdoor but could not eat or drink anything unfortunately. Lovely place but their seating capacity(only outdoor tables were fullis not aligned with their cooking capacity. When we sat we were told that we had to wait for 1 hour for the food. If we order soup it could be 1/2 hour so we had to leave and had to find another place to eat. Especially we came to veszprem just for this place.

When you order an iced latte and they give you this... thing. And then they laugh at your face. Cool

Not going to Fricska, it’s like not having gone to Veszprem. The view is like no other, the food is out of this world and the staff even let us charge our phones while ate.Can’t wait to go back.

During a storm the water didn’t let us have a couple of beers by the bar even though there were free tables inside. We were happy to stand, but he refused to let us in. Moreover, the waters were watching rain while having ‘a full restaurant’...

Cute little place, very trendy. We ordered 3 nicely served meals. Unfortunately i didnt enjoy my Cesar salat which i find very boring

Overall quality has declined quite significantly from last year. When you order mineral water, the bottles are refilled with tap water. Its a pity, because the place used to be decent.

Great location and food selection, the service and the burger I had was excellent, my kids had fun playing around and running to the creek and bridge nearby. I liked how the tables had names.

Damn good burgers and great staff! Ate here several times this past week and never disappointed in fact quite pleased ever time.Try the double burger and the bbq beef sandwich but be ready for messy food....its worth the mess!

It has a super nice outdoor terrace right beside a small creek, all is grassy... view to the castle, exceptional location. The food, the staff and the service are all great.

Visited this restaurant in Veszprém a couple of days ago while in Hungary for my birthday. It has an amazing location right by a small creek that produces a very relaxing and peaceful soyund. It looks very cool on the outside with a few wooden benches and refined inside with upscale furniture and deco. It was not cheap (for Hungarian standardsbut a bargain if you compare to prices youd pay anywhere in London, New York or Paris.

We have been returning and we still like Fricska. Staff is friendly, service is relatively quick even if the place is busy. Food is good and portions are large. Well done!

A place with great atmosphere and nice decoration. Location is amazing, right next to Séd stream. They say sometimes chairs are set up in the stream itself, but when we were there water levels were too high.Drinks are okay. Food is way overpriced for the quality, for this amount, one can buy the best burgers in Budapest. Burger here is not even decent and other meals were nothing special either.Service is nice and restrooms are clean.It is worth to check out, but skip the food.

We sat at one table, and for like 15-20 minutes no one came to take our order, not even for the drinks. All the other customers were seemed very upset, they were keep asking the waiters where are the food what they have ordered, and the answer was: sorry, the kitchen is busy. We had to leave, and eat home, there was no chance we will got any food in the next two hours. Must reorganize the whole place.

Tasty food, nice and very friendly service in an unforgettable environment at the foot of the castle. Cooling down your feet by sitting at the table in the small stream is a unique experience you definitely have to try.

Many people who wrote reviews, had problems with the service, hopefully we didnt. The burgers are GREAT with capitals, the view is simply awesome. I really recommend this place.

Lovely setting with wonderful seating indoors and outdoors.Very cool design and chilly atmosphere.We had burgers (very goodand the fresh crisps were amazing.Excellent beer from Zirc abbey.Great service, decent prices.Also great for parents. We went with our 2-year old who enjoyed the slide and the many toys and books.
