Lush city park featuring grassy picnic areas, off-leash dog play spots & wetlands.
Its just a great park to have in the heart of Pittsburgh. Always pleasant and lots to hike or bike. Fall is particularly beautiful.
Family Friendly Park with great hours and miles of trails. Wildlife viewing and woodland scenery are amazing and all this is just a few blocks from great dining and shopping g experiences!!
Always a wonderful walk with my pup!Wish people would not litter so much near the entrance. They do a wonderful job of keeping the park clean ,But other people are just disrespectful.
You wont find a nicer place for a walk through the woods and fields. Even accessible by stroller
This is Pittsburgh history! A very wealthy powerful man! Carnegies right hand man! You will see how the rich lived 100+ years ago. I loved the tour! This was my second tour of the Frick museum and Ill be back!
Nice park. They have two full size baseball diamonds and a junior size.
Love walking in the park! Also we get to see many friendly dogs π
Naturally, a great park full of beautiful landscaped lawns, dog parks, jungle gyms, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, etc. Something for everyone. When there, you forget you are in the city.
Outdoor hub of the East End. Single track, wide walking paths, playgrounds, picnic areas, tennis courts, ball fields. Whats not to love?
This is a nice park. My reason for being there last weekend was that this was the starting line for the 10k run of the Pittsburgh Great Race. I will make a point to try to visit someday just to enjoy the park.
AhhhThe Frick-n-park.We love this place!!!As an Accoustic ambient musician, the trails here are prefect for classical music videos.Stay tuned!!!
I love love loveeeee Frick Park Trails so many to choose from . Very relaxing and peaceful . Refuels my electric energy for the week to come I am here about 3 times a week . π
The kids loved the playground. The picnic areas was small but they worked out perfect for us. The restrooms were clean and easily accessible. We didnt take our dog this trip but probably will next time.Everyone had a ball. Next time I think will take a walk on the paths and maybe bring my fishing pole.Frick park is a winner. I know well be back.
A magical park. A must see for anyone in the area.
You ever wanna be in the middle of the woods & in the middle of, arguably, a fine city? Well this is the spot for you. 5 stars all day every day. Just watch out for dingdongs who take their dogs leashes off. Jags.
It is a beautiful place, with a nice hiking trail, however when I went there there was soke construction going on and couldnt explore it to its entirely
Went there with my daughter and fiance and her dog. Had never been there. For being in the city, it was so peaceful there. Only heard the birds chirping. Very well taken care of. π
I ride my bike on the large amount of very well made biking trails. You are also allowed to walk on most of the trails too. There are plenty of playgrounds all over the trails. Along with all these other things there is a dog park and multiple picnic areas. A very amazing outdoor place.
Very nice place to just take a walk enjoy the outdoors in a city
Had to come stop thru Mac Millerβs neighborhood and park couldnβt come to Pittsburgh and not do so βπΎ & β€οΈ#RIHMacMiller #FrickPark
A really beautiful park, to walk around or sit and relax. Nice flowers and gardens. The atmosphere is welcoming and calming. The museums have nice collections. The house is really tastefully decorated, love the wallpapers and drapery, curtains. The guide tour is really nice.
Beautiful central Park like area with dog parks, workout areas and plenty of beautiful grass and wooded areas. This park truly has something for everybody, two legged, or four!
Went on a forest trail and got a tick in my hair. The environmental building has a few things for kids to touch and a cool artsy mural on the wall. The "barn" has no animals for kids to see. The fountain is a very low flowing one. Probably a great place for hiking but we wanted to entertain a child
Fantastic urban trail system! Makes good use of steep and varied terrain -- clearly lots of local work went into making these trails. Best of all the trail system is right by the city center, and connected to the greenway system as well. I would go out of my way to ride bikes here again -- a real asset to Pittsburgh!
This is a beautiful park that is very well maintained. There are so many open grassy areas for people who want to picnic, there is a basketball court and tennis courts as well. Very nice scenery and a chill vibe runs throughout the park
We love this park! The blue slide is everything!
Plenty of room for a wide variety of outdoor activities. Some places in the park make you forget that youβre in the city
Great variety of well maintained trails. There are easy flat ones for the family and more challenging ones for mountain biking and a good workout. There are multiple playgrounds that my son loves and lots of cute dogs.
A beautiful dog friendly park with plenty of things to do. There are two seperate off leash dog areas with an abundance of space and little activities to keep your pooch entertained. Water fountains for people and dogs are available along the walking path. And for those who want to do something more than walking, there are various built in exercise equipment near the entrance.
Absolutely beautiful park in Pittsburgh! Beautiful nature in the city!
Beautiful old chateau and green house. The architecture is lovely. The main home is under construction, but still worth a visit to walk the grounds and go through the greenhouse.
I lead a free nature photography walk in Frick month. I always find amazing things to photograph. Its an incredibly park full of diverse wildlife and lots of great trails for biking, walking, dog walking, and of course photography walks!
This Park is gorgeous. Youll enjoy the nature and the hiking trails.
This is a nice park. Cute equipment however we went in the early morning and apparently their had been a crowd there the night before who had left a bunch of garbage. Its pretty sad that even with a dozen garbage cans on the property some idiots cant throw their trash away. I always run into very friendly families here. Great place for my 19 month old to play!
Stunning. Beautiful, well maintained. You could spend hours walking miles... Something new around every corner.
Happy birthday to this handsome guy. Went to a birthday party here recently. Very clean park. Great space. You have to rent the area but you can also purchase an alcohol allowance. Great playground for kids. Plus, if you loose your keys, there a hammer at the entrance for "lost keys". I actually saw some hanging!! Great experience over all. Good restaurants close by. Nice trails and am ice cream shop right across the road. Wish it had a parking lot though.
We loved this park. Only street parking so we had to park down the street. Stayed 3 hours. Slides, pickelball, basketball, dog park. Bring some cardboard (or borrow some left by othersto go down the blue slide. Lots of benches for parents to sit.
In a modern metropolitan city like Pittsburgh, Frick Park is really exceptional. You can enjoy wide open spaces. You can also get yourself completely lost in the woods. Deer are very prevelent. Take the Roller Coaster Trail for a really special hike. The trail isnt much more than a deer trail. Have fun. Everyone should check it out. You can just go for yourself!(~);}
I was not expecting this park to be such an amazing place but it is one of the coolest big city parks. There is an abundance of wildlife last time I was there I saw 5-6 deer, black red and grey squirrels, the most chipmunks in one area, and a wide variety of birds.
Had an amazing time walking through the park!! I hope my pictures show how beautiful the park looks!! πͺ΅ππΏππ
Fairly large park for a city park. Lots of nice trails and trees. You may even see a very cool black squirrel. Beware of loose or out of control dogs.
Gorgeous wooded park with well-kept trails, grassy fields, creeks, and lots of birds and deer. Easily accessible lots with plenty of parking.
I really enjoy Frick Park however I got lost on the Riverview trail. This was somewhat frightful and lengthened my walk quite significantly. I did not go on the play ground this visit but it is enjoyable. My miniature golden doodle liked the dog area.
The founders and preservers of Frick, Schenley, and other Pittsburgh-area parks had great foresight into what an industrual city would require in the future. Im particularly happy that, during a time when social gatherings and entertainment venues are inaccessible (COVID), I have easy access to these pristine natural spaces.
Great place to walk your dog, run, hike or just take in the nature. Cant wait to do the Nine Mile trail and the leaves change.
Fantastic park for some solid, low-level hiking! While you wont reach great heights during your time roaming the trails, you can certainly find your way to some challenging changes in elevation and steep-ish climbs.Mountain biking is quite the excursion here, so be prepared to stay alert and move out of the way of oncoming bikes. The scenery is beautiful and helps you to forget that it took less than a 20 minute drive to arrive.
Beautiful area with walking trails and little hidden finds everywhere! Like the Bug Hotel π Its a very large area lush with everything nature has to offer! Whether you enjoy walking or biking or are looking to picnic its a gorgeous spot!
It is like going into the woods, but in the middle of a city. There are even deer. Great walking and hiking trails. This place is quite extensive. Other activities as well. Near destinations, like Frick Museum. Parking on the street is easy.
It is a lovely park. It gets windy and cold in the winter but it still is very pretty, and it is a great place to watch seasons pass. It is especially beautiful during the fall. The sound of the wind hitting the trees is breathtaking... There are also a lot of beautiful birds, so keep an eye open!!!
Frick Park is an amazing place to explore the beauty that nature has in store for us :)Although it might be too cold to take a stroll in snow covered trails, its a majestic experience!Eagerly waiting for spring to further my appreciation of the natures beauty!
