Classic check tablecloths & scenic views set the tone at this pizzeria serving thin-crust pies.
Great, friendly, fast, service. no other menu choices only pizza, bread sticks
This has been one of my favorite pizza places in town for years. Sadly, Im officially done with this business. I order a 2 topping pizza and the price has gone up this year alone $5.50 per pizza. When you compare the sized portion you get, it is officially the most expensive pizza for its size in town. Its good pizza, but it isnt worth $17 for a medium 2 topping pizza...
Pizza was OK for extremely thin, but no onions? Server was very friendly and efficient. But no menus at all! C’mon folks…how is this acceptable in any shape or form? Photocopy some menus at $0.01/each in black and white. And paper plates that don’t last past 1/4 of a pizza make me wonder how this place has stayed in business for so long.
I love their pizza, but choose Scribs because if you want onion on a Fricanos pizza, they put great big slices on instead of chopped onions.
Love the pizza!! I would like to be able to order a salad with the pizza. Nice place, good wait staff. Like the bar set up.
Fricanos Muskegon is one of those places I go when I depend on having great food and good atmosphere. My favorite thing to do is grab a pie and a carafe and sit by the window looking out at the Lake..... thats my therapy!
i ate here and the workers were super nice and the pizza was so good i cried.💯 I actually cried I had to use the napkins to wipe my tears 🐓🧱🌚
Only pizza is available (plus sides), but it is really good pizza.
We found Fricanos quite by accident while in the area. What great luck. Wasnt sure what to expect from the food based on the front of the building. What we got was the most incredible pizza! Thin, crispy, old-school. Whats not to love? All with a beautiful water view.
Want a pizza? I hope you like pepperoni and mushrooms. There were NO other portions. No onions, no olives, etc.Want something else? They dont serve it.
Had my first and last pizza from Fricanos. But hey the PBR was good!
Sorry, but I was so disappointed in Fricano’s. Nothing had any flavor. The pizza was supposed to be thin and crispy, but it was so greasy that the crust was soggy. They only offered 12 inch thin crust pizzas and had about 5 toppings to choose from. The breadsticks had no flavor despite being served dripping in butter. The only thing that had taste was the one thing we didn’t want to have taste…the water. Maybe that’s how all Muskegon water tastes. The only reason I gave this place two stars is that the building it’s in has a lot of potential.
They only have like 5 toppings, so if you are looking for variety you won’t find it here. They also only have one style of crust. All in all an ok pizza place.
Our waitress was great and she ended up taking the pizza off the bill because it was the least crispy thin crust pizza Ive ever had. Maybe asking for the pizza well done might help
One of the best pizzas in west Michigan. Its 1 size and you can choose pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, and anchovies on your pizza. I always eat one there and get one to go for later.
HORRIBLE OMG. Literally had better service at a 1 star restaurant. The staff is so rude and the cooks are musty. They cut our pizza with used scissors. 🤮🤢🤮🤢
I’ve had Fricanos pizza since 1955. Tonight I had the worst - WORST- pizza ever! Ordered pepperoni and double sausage. Got just the opposite with microscopic cheese - cold and dried out. The bartender couldn’t find our order - then it suddenly appeared - cold. I love their pizza and look forward to having it. DISSAPPOINTMENT!
I loved it at my nephew Kylers Graduation party on July 17, 2022. I had a good time and ate pizza and salad and DIET COKE THERE (2 CUPS WITH ICEAND THEN WENT HOME. PLUS HAD A EXCELLENT TIME WITH MY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS FROM LONG TIME AGO. AND ALSO ADAM MY BROTHER IN LAW MOM WITH GLENN.
Terrible! dirty kitchen, dirty forks. Hostess seated us and told us no menus. Then went and sat down, got back on her phone. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. We didnt stay. Gross!
Set up for an open house in the sweet shoppe part a few weeks ago. It was so filthy. Like layers of dust everywhere and dead flies. Everything went smooth when it was all said and done but I was just kind of floored at the cleaning we were doing...
Great but going to have to pay up, one small pizza two waters, $18.75
The breadsticks were better than the pizza. Friendly server. Our main disappointment was that the Sweet Shoppe portion is closed this year due to lack of employees. It wouldn’t have been a big deal except we had brought a group for my daughter’s birthday.
My Husband parents was in town for the Holiday. We decided to order pizza. Two hours later after eating the pizza everyone in the house was sick and I mean sick. I called the next day to let them know maybe it was the sausage and the manager tells me. No one else has called about it. I felt like it wasnt a big deal to him because no one else had complain.
We are visiting the area and selected this place based on the reviews. We were incredibly disappointed. There were no menus so that was very confusing as first time visitors. Our cheesy bread sticks tasted like cleaning supplies (my husbands words). The pizza was ok but very bland and way too greasy. And it was honestly pretty pricey considering they dont even give you real plates.I gave two stars because our server was decent and we liked the view.
Its a good place to go for unique pizzas and a great view of Muskegon lake...Enjoy.
No menu. Website with menu and pricing was under construction. Pricing related to Fricanos from Google was possibly out-of-date, but the difference was more at the restaurant (~$17 morewith an expected bill of about $63, being about $80. The pizza itself is very thin; but its real issue is that its flavor is bland.
Not impressed, the limited choice of thin crust pizza was equal to a frozen pizza from the grocery store; the place was dark and dinghy, tables too close together (covid people), servers weren’t focused had to ask for stuff twice and once had to get my own sweetener for my tea…and the price was definitely too much for what was served…
My daughters high school held their prom here. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for their prom.
Terrible! No menu, no idea on prices, or size of the one size pizza. We had to eat off 6” paper plates, limited toppings for pizza. Pizza crust was not crispy. Bread sticks were hot dog buns. Asked for a box, we had almost a whole pizza left and was told we could not have a box and I was expected to put 8 slices of pizza on a 6 inch paper to take home with me. The waitress said that they were told to not hand out boxes but other customers were getting boxes to take their leftovers home. Will never come back!!
Pizza usually comes out a little undercooked and light on the sauce. The building is neat with a nice view. Service is generally quick.
Love this pizza very thin crust but great pizza non like it anywhere else
Ive been eating at the Muskegon location for about 7-8 years and prior to that always enjoyed the Grand Haven location. Today was quite different though The crust was absolutely horrible, felt very chewy doughy not the nice thin crust with the premium flower and I paid about $3 more for the pizza due to the increase. Not happy at all with this product!
I thought everyone was so nice and made me feel comfortable. Except for that I bought some anchovies and didnt get them with my 2 pizzas. My son and I enjoyed our own personal pizza!!
Solid pizza. Great crust, perfect sauce and the only toppings you need. If you want the crust crispy, just ask.
Love the pizza, but... If youve never gone there it can be a bit confusing how ordering your pizza works due to them not having menus. Its always clean, friendly, and busy. The location is beautiful and so is the building.
Fricano’s service and quality is rapidly decreasing on a week by week basis. With all the competition out there I would be scared if I was Fricano’s. I don’t recommend this subpar pizza place. If you want better pizza check out places in lakeside that are far better. Also, they charge you for your Parmesan cheese. How ridiculous.
To say this pizza is bad, is a gross understatement, emphasis on the gross. After the first bite, the pizza coated my mouth with a bitter oily film. If I could give negative stars, I would. The cheese sticks were decent compared to the pizza, but only because it didnt leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemies. Ive had bowling alley pizza better than the greasy, hot garbage they call pizza here. Absolutely disappointing experience, with the paper plates and salad bowls, and condiments that youd get from fast food. Complete waste of time and money.
Our son and his beautiful bride just celebrated their wedding at the Hideaway Lounge. The wait staff and bartender were awesome! It was so special to us to have the owner Ted Fricano come in and say "hi". The pizza, breadsticks, and salad were a big hit. How many weddings do you go to where you get to take a pizza home? Thank you very much Ted and company.
After show cast and crew party. So food (pizza)was room temperature and so were the drinks. The setting was great for a large party. Good location and safe parking. But staff was not equipped for this size crowd. This is a mid-covid situation.
Was just in for a company function. No one met me at the door to tell me where our reserved function was nor was there any signage. Looked like the hostess was chatting at the bar or there was no hostess. 3 of us ordered bread sticks, no one ate them after one bite. Not good. I understand casual dining but to give me a 6 inch paper plate to eat from and a paper bowl for my salad? Pizza came out with the crust burnt black around the edges. The wait staff was friendly and attentive though so at least that was right. I dont know whats going on there but not sure I could ever recommend Fricanos . Very disappointed.
Im sorry.....we are from Cincinnati and I was so looking forward to some good pizza. The setting is beautiful.... but it does not match the food.... in my opinion. The menu is SERIOUSLY limited. I dont eat meat so my choices were....well... it wasnt a place that accommodated a pescatarian. My family didnt care for it either and they eat meat. Great view!
I used to go to the Fricanos near Kalamazoo back in the day so I was excited to try this one out. This menu was limited to pizza, breadsticks and salad, which is understandable. The food came out fast and the pizza was good if you like thin crust, but not quite as good as I remember it being. I would suggest ordering it well done if you like your thin crust crispy. I would probably not recommend getting the breadsticks, they tasted like the dinner rolls you can buy at the store, and the cheese was just kind of thrown on top. The atmosphere was very casual but the view was nice. If you are looking for a quick place to take the family, this is a good option, but in my opinion, there are better pizza places in the area.
It feels cheap, even the food wear has a food truck feel to it. The pizza feels old school like a fast food place before you could have it your way. However the view while dining was over looking the lake watching the boats(which was nice). And I respect that you can get anchovies on your pizza(in fact its the only place where getting them actually kinda goes with the style of pizza Ive ever been to). Also the drink presentation was on point as well as the alcohol to other ratio was perfect
First time ever having their pizza today.. Not sure how I felt about it. It was good but me personally, nothing to flip out about. It didnt have much flavor and the lack of choice in toppings kinda sucked but their Spin/Art dip.. TO DIE FOR!!❤🤘.. And I was super stoked to find out that they do have a Gluten Free option, so I was able to eat with my family. So thats a bonus! If asked if I was gonna come back,... Yeah, Ill give them another shot.
Beautiful place, awesome wait staff n delicious pizza!!
I love thin crust pies but their "wafer crust" set a new standard of tasty for me. The pepperoni, mushroom & green pepper was good but the anchovy & double cheese was the best anchovy pie Ive ever had!
Decent pizza of you like super thin and soft crust. Very large building though, capable of hosting decent sized various events.
Paper thin pizza ??? (Picture included)I arrive and soon relized they served ONLY pizza. Like, no joke, thats all they have. We asked for salad, nope. And you literally dont get a menu. You receive a placemate with the options and NO PRICE GIVEN. You only have like 5 options and that doesnt include onions. I asked if you can add them and she said they litteraly didnt even have them in the establishment. We received the pizza and relized it was literally this as paper. We compared it to the palcemat and it was the same size. We ordered 2 for 4 people. We left hungry. Overall DO NOT GO unless you want to eat paper thin pizza and nothing else. Absolutely terrible and I would be ashamed to serve something like that. Owners and staff should be ashamed of themselves!
Great thin, thin crust pizza. Had a group of 18 & they were able to sit us all together with a 10 minute arrival time.
They only serve one size pie and the only toppings are pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage and anchovy. It’s perfect. I’ve read plenty of reviews complaining that they don’t have pineapple or ham, neither of which belong on a pizza. Both Fricanos, GR and Muskegon, are great! This is not NY Style and they don’t pretend to be. The crust is super thin, the sauce is tangy and the cheese is just as it should be, gooey.
