Frestro & Bar in Kuta

It was a trip down memory lane - very nostalgic .

Unfortunately breakfast was very cold and of very poor quality. The one star 🌟 is for the caramel iced latte.

I come here more than 10 times for food and drinks, the place is very cosy and the food is great! The staff are all friendly and very helpful, also Kadek Ardini is really friendly and was helpful to me whilst I was here, her hospitality was great :I recommend this place!

Nice bar

Food gets 4 star but menu choices, price and ambiance get 2.The reasons?1. Outdoorsy was uber hot, mind you its pretty much dining in a glass house with few wall fans on. HOT. Dont make the same mistakes like we do and come during lunch hour.2. Indoor was not that hot - its an aircon area with comfortable seats but mosquitoes all over the place! We had to move back to the front/outdoorsy area, sigh. And the mosquitoes followed us. It was that unpleasant for us but feast for the mosquitoes.3. Our service staff was a trainee and didnt know whats in the menu, he did ask his senior, whom replied "you can just see the photo". Okaaay.4. At the bottom of each page on the menu book, its stated that we only need to pay government tax 10 percent. Truth is, theres a hidden service tax 11% so were slapped with 500k bill for an appetizer, 2 mains, an ice tea, and a cocktail. Too much for this kind of establishment.Thats the 4 reasons that make us not coming back. Food taste okay, fresh pasta was pretty alright, but its not that exceptional that will let us forgive the uncomfortable place. And why did my iced lychee tea get no lychee fruit?I get it now why its empty during lunch hour 2 pm.

We placed our order and the waiter came back to tell us, the item my date wanted was all gone so he chose another.. then maybe 15-20 mins later, the waiter came back again to tell me the item I wanted was all gone as well.. why did it take so long for them to figure this out?? I chose another item, i was told it was also all gone... Very disappointing.. I settled on the duck and my date got the chicken.. Then my dates food came out far ahead of mine since they waited way too long to tell me they were out of what I originally wanted. My date was able to finish his meal by the time mine actually arrived. Do we not understand that people should be served their food at the same time so they can eat together??? We were asked if we wanted dessert, we took a look but nothing interested us.. they then offered us a complimentary dessert... Only after the fact that we didnt order one. I feel like that should have been offered off the bat. The dessert we got wasnt even on the menu but I will say this, it was delicious. Our meals were also delicious but vegetable portions were very small. For example, my dates dish was described to come with carrots... He literally got 1 carrot. Kind of a joke if you ask me.

Nice hangout place at seminyak, awesome foods & cocktails

The one that caught my attention is they have Bakmi, i like bakmi so i decided to have a try. Their bakmi is delicious, i can see the noodles is made by hand. The seasoning is good.The people are very welcome and very nice.They also have other offer to try for croisant with coffee. And the price is affordable. The price for my bakmi is 30k only.The restaurant is really nice in and open space. I can feel the breeze.

Good coffee. Good place. The music quiet loud though. Especially in the morning when people wanna enjoy clamness.

Too expensive. Fish and chips=barely bigger than a fish finger cut into 4 pieces with about 9 thin style potato crisps. With two very small cocktails cost 24.700 IDR. Ripped. Will not go back.26.000 IDR at Skooby burgers at Bintang supermarket gets you two awesome big burgers, 2 fries and 5 icy cold bintangs. I know which we will choose in future!!

The food was good, presentation was great. You can tell by looking at the food that the kitchen respects their menu and are proud of their dishes. We ate at Frestro & bar on 2 separate occasions to make sure it wasnt a fluke, we werent disappointed. My daughter loved the kids chicken burger, which was succulent and crispy. We found their seafood dishes a little too salty for our liking and the staff mixed up my order but were quick to fix their mistake.

Absolutely amazing. Stumbled upon this place and were blown away - proper gourmet food served with beautiful warm Balinese hospitality in a smart but relaxed dining room. Made our day. We will be back, that’s for sure.

I dont normally write reviews, but this place has great food and service.The Manager Woody went above and beyond when we had a large group dinner there. We will definitely be back next time in Bali.

Nice restaurant with a good ambience and friendly staff. The place was near deserted when we went in, though a large group entered shortly after to help fill the place out. Good selection of food and drinks available, I think I made a mistake going for local food which is not their speciality and instead should stick with the Western "gourmet" for which looked a lot better! With so many restaurants around its hard to stand out, and this one doesnt

My partner and I came to this amazing restaurant in December last year, and we were met with a lovely young professional named Tut Woody who took care of us for the evening. Woody was kind and welcoming, and was very committed to bringing us the very best service at the restaurant. He is hilarious!!The food was amazing, I had a wood oven pizza which was cooked to ABSOLUTE PERFECTION, and my hubby had a seafood pasta that he couldnt stop raving about. Im so sad that Im back in Australia anf cant walk down the road to enjoy the fantastic food and company. We cannot thank Woody and the staff at Frestro enough, for their amazing hospitality, out of this world food and such welcoming vibes. Thank you so much!!! We will be back :-x

What a great Bar.. its not a big bar but the quality they offered us is amazing.. they have good cocktail selection,super food and wow the service is perfect..Highly recommended..

The food was absolutely amazing. The mango or apricot reduction used for plating the chocolate cake was the greatest Ive ever tasted.

When you look at a restaurant you take he reviews with a grain of salt but this was a case of meeting the high rating that others have put out there. Great food, attentive staff great ambience. Definitely worthy of a return to try it out for another meal. House ginger beer and house lemonade were very refreshing.

Food failed to excite if u ask me after reading all the reviews but not a bad place to grab dinner. Restaurant was bright and well lit and staff were attentative as well.

Hidden pearl, if you are looking for outstanding food from a professional chef. From outside this place appears like many others in the neighborhood, but inside you will find a stylish restaurant. There are many great dishes to choose from. The food was very delicious and presented nicely. There is an open kitchen where you can follow the preparation of you orders. Great thing! I ate the best Gnocchi ever in my life so far. Really liked our stay and staff was very polite. There are only two things Id recommend for improvement. Please use dessert spoons (small header, but long in wholeand train your staff (waitressesto serve more tables at the same time and speed up the food serving, once its done for eating (right after the bell rings). Besides, absolutely to recommend!

Woody and the team here are amazing . Great value for money and one of the best places to eat in Bali . Staff are so attentive and know what they are talking about. All the staff are amazing at what they do and it shows through their service . Cannot recommend this place enough

Great place to get dinner with family or close friends. The food taste are awesome, they give complimentary too. The staff so warm and kind towards guests. The homemade ice cream they served taste so good, love it!The ambiance there also so good, to have intimate dinner with your partner suit it perfectly.

Wow!!!! The chefs are incredible!The whole team attentive. This is a restaurant with TRUE fine dining. Three course meal of delicious dishes. I had a craving for lamb shank, I have had a lot of Lamb Shanks in my years and this is the best I have ever had! The food was outstanding and the chefs should be damn proud of there quality they produced! Cocktails are out of this world.As this was our honeymoon last evening dish we splashed out on Cocktails, but for the quality of food and drinks you get the price is well worth it! Well done guys! Seriously well done. When we come back to Bali I WILL be coming hear again! Want to spoil your partner this is the palace to do it!

Amazing restaurant that deserves 3 Michelin stars! Food to fall in love with that are NOT obscenely overpriced, absolutely commendable service, utterly excellent staffs, breathtakingly beautiful interior and best of all, Muslim friendly food menu for those who will be concerned.Our night began horribly when we were turned down by Potato Head, MerahPutih and Sarong. Upon chance we stumbled upon Frestro and at first, we thought we were taking a risk as there was nearly no patrons at all. We were already desperately famished and to make it worse, its my dads birthday and we were nowhere near getting a decent place for dinner. Frestro is a surprise in how it is designed as it looks like just another bar/bistro from the front but entering the place, you will find deeper in is the classy dining area and it is the fine-dining kind of exquisite. Considering its location, look and feel, we were additionally thoroughly impressed that they did not follow many other places resolve to unjustly pricing their menu. And then when the food started coming, our opinion of the place was solidified. The open kitchen concept was splendid as well. In the end, we had a great birthday dinner as we hoped in the beginning. Thanks so much Frestro for saving our first night in Bali! Hope to dine there again soon x

An interesting collection of international food that would appeal to any taste and meticulously presented and served. While fusion cuisine has dramatically evolved and enhanced modern cuisine, some flavours do not mate perfectly. Still very good and kudos to the chef for bold, adventure off the beaten path.

They have cocktails promo every Friday and Saturday. I like the Tropical martini.For the food menu, my favorite is Tuna Carpaccio! 😍

An amazing restraunt with staff that provide an A1+ service.The restraunt has a very chilled / relaxed atmosphere. We got the tenderloin steak done medium well it was delicious the meat just fell apart, the meat was top quality. For desert we got the apple pie which was also delicious nothing like a normal apple pie!A great place that you must try!!

Impressive! One of the best dining experience Ive had in Bali. Beats M*tis and M*m*s*n for sure. Exceptionally delicious food. Everything is of quality. The bar and the dining room are incredible.My husband took me there when I was feeling crappy and thought it was going to be one of those overpriced but disappointing fancy western restaurants in Bali, but boy... was I wrong. I was so impressed with everything here.If you check their instagram, youll see that they hire the best people and they put a lot of effort and care into their product and service. Just love this place!

Amazing place! Ayip and his team of mixologists are exceptional. Didnt order a single drink from the menu, simply asked them to mix something for me according to my taste. Loved every single drink. They also infuse their own blends which they store in barrels on the wall. A must try for everyone that likes a good cocktail
