Community green spot with ballfields, a disc-golf course & a dog park with agility equipment.
I officiate a lot of games there. It is a very nice complex.
Awesome park for not only our fur babies but a great park for making new friends. We all something in common.....our dogs. However, the whole family can enjoy. Come on out for an enjoyable time. You wont be disappointed and know your dog(swont either.
Beautiful walking trails
While I did not go on the course, it did look nice. I was happy to find the dog park.
Enjoyed the round but course is not marked very well. The numbers dont go in order... Number need to go in order
Great place for some disc fun and fam
Nice facilities and great hours! Small running/walking track, but nice nonetheless. Baseball/softball fields are well maintained overall.
I love this park and so. does my fur baby. We try to make visits a regular thing to do so that puppy can work off some energy. The dog park is huge...the park itself is huge. Theres sides for both small and large dogs 🐕 and a common area thats open for both and plenty of room to toss a Frisbee. Theres a large baseball field basketball court. Theres a large track that goes around the park. By the time we come home, were both exhausted 😩 but is a good thing. I highly recommend you visit. You wont regret it!!
Love the shade trees! Perfect place to play all day ball!
One of the best disc golf courses in the southeast. Pads for every skill level.
The park, groundskeepers, and administration Really are amazing! Love going there for my child’s sporting events!
This park is great and I love it. So happy I found it. Ive only been there during the weekdays and I imagine the weekends are crazy because it looks like there could be so much to do.
Very nice park! My son played there in the Perfect Game Tournament. Awesome playground for the kids on the inside. Were excited to come back and visit.
Freedom park is a large beautiful place. The only thing is that the signs are incorrect as far as where the fields are.
I love this disc golf course! Its great for beginners and experienced disc golfers. There are plenty of "extra" holes so the course never gets boring.
Excellent course. Lots of alternate holes for expert golfers. Every pin has three tees, and most have secondary baskets. The course could use slightly better signage, but most signage is clear. And some of the secondary pins have been taken down. But a really FUN course.
They do a very good job on upkeep. The dog park is a nice addition. The disc golf set up is nice. The lack of sinks, as the bathrooms are closed and there are only port a potties with no sanitizer or sinks available, is about the only complaint I have.
Good park to take kids or adult recreation also venders n lots of fun ,I went with my grandkids,we all had a great time 😊🌺
I enjoyed freedom Park my family and I have been there twice including my dog she enjoyed playing with the other dogs and we actually got a good game of frisbee going so yeah we will be back soon
Good place to come and see Miracle league ball on Tuesday nights. This is for disabled people. They also have other fields for normal kids to play on. They have a track to walk on.
Clean, friendly people, puppy had a great time and freedom to run! We will be back!
The course was well maintained for the most part. The course it decently well marked, although the first time playing here it was hard to tell were the basket was and I went the wrong way to the next whole a couple times. Mosquitoes were awful.
Nice park in Valdosta, GA. Wonderful facilities for sports of all types as well as places to exercise. Plenty of open space with a beautiful pine forrest filled with trails. It is a great place to take photographs.
With 3 sections incase your dog wont get along, frankly small but functional running water stations and agility obstacle s this place is great. But it could use more seating, and cleaning stations and a swimming section.
Amazing facilities and the grounds crew is 2nd to none, they did an amazing job keeping fields playable during a very wet Showcase softball tournament!
Super nice facilities! Clearly a ton of money and effort put into this place. Well taken care of. That being said, alittle disappointing that the tax payers have very little to no access to the ball fields. I get that its to protect people from ruining it but still its not right. Need atleast 2 fields open at all times.
The entire scenery set up for the course is awesome! All throughout woods with great little trails to it- you honestly forget there is a whole sports park there with it because you dont hear any of that- peaceful! Even if youre not playing disc golf I love to go out and walk in the nature of it all! 🥰🥏
This park is wonderful! With the disc golf course, there are nicely kept woody spaces to walk around. There is a basketball court, many baseball fields, a little walking loop for the walkers and runners that doesn’t make it feel like you’re running in circles. Overall gorgeous facilities and even has portapotty as public restrooms are closed at times.
This is a great park for walking the trails through the pine trees, or watching birds soar as you walk the huge fields, and in between the fields and trees you can photograph butterflies in the native flowers or watch the dragonflies near the pond. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, frisbee golf course, jogging track, ball fields, and more. I use the park to photograph butterflies and birds.
Great softball park. Fields are always in top notch space and there are tons of fields making it the go to softball park to run softball tournaments year round of all sides.
We enjoyed 18 holes of frisbee golf today. Lots of room and even with 8-10 groups playing there was no waiting.
Really enjoyed this mixed course. The added baskets could use better signage, but other than that - a great place to play disc golf!
nice place. good dogs for the most part. could use some lights for the evenings.
Its a very nice clean park to visit.i love that it has many different reasons for visiting, wheather its taking your kids to the play on the park playground, walking the track,to play basketball or to just go & watch the baseball games which there are many that goes on year round & Im always there.actually my kids & I and couple of their friends had a very big water balloon fight out there in the open field we had crazy fun.i think it has a nature trail as well..and they have lots of nice clean area where you can just have a laid back comfortable picnic this is my thought about this park I love it I love going there for the many reasons and I think you would too
Loved the disc golf course...plenty if challenging baskets....long open throws....wooded tunnels and loads of trees...even swamp shots and elevated baskets and tee pads...has it all...
We went to the fenced in playground and pavilion for a play date with friends. The equipment is disability friendly - including wheelchair. We had a great time and will take our sons back. The only reason i am not giving it 5 stars is the pavilion bathroom was locked the whole time and we had to find a different bathroom. The entire park is ADA compliant and that makes it even more likely we will return for events or just to play.
Glad to see the park still going strong. Probably one of the best maintained Parks here, and Im glad the disc golf is free despite not using it myself for over a year. I often ride bikes, or just toss a catching frisbee with friends here.
It finally has some new and partially shaded play ground equipment. Hardened and shaded concrete pad. Working bathroom and handwashing station. I didnt use the dog walking area or the people walking area.
This is a very nice park. It is very clean the people there are so respectful enough to use the trash cans. We were there to attend a 5K run to benefit the Humane Society. My granddaughter was entered and she is 10 years old and she won first place in her age group. Very proud, and very impressed with the park.
Although the ball fields were nice and neatly groomed for the start of the softball tournament, the directions to get to the park left something to be desired. Someone needs to update Google Maps. I also experienced very high-priced food at the snack bar.
This a very beautiful park I recommend you visiting or enjoying the activities they have going on their it was such a nice place and very warm and inviting I enjoy myself and the scenery was a beautiful site
Visited the dog park with my 8lb Chorkie. It was a real treat for him to socialize in a safe play area. Great condition, separate area for smaller dogs too. Big pecan trees provide plenty of shade from South GA intense sun! Double gate entrance is a nice thoughtful touch.
Great place to play baseball. Only wish is they actually used their concession stand. I ran one in South Florida and it brought in a lot of money. Tons of people with late night practices and games would equal a profit Im sure of it.
It’s great to have a dog park in town. There two sizable areas- one for small dogs and a second for larger. While there is some seating, most of it is not clean. When gnat season is in full swing, you’ll be surrounded by gnats quickly- but it is southern Georgia, so somewhat expected. There are water fountains for the dogs. The only thing missing is a playground for my kid after the dogs play!
One of the best dog parks Ive ever been to
I have mixed reviews. The "walking track is ok. Three laps = a mile. Half is up hill, but it is next to the water treatment plant. So it also smells. The dog park will always depend on the pup families that go. I have had a great experience and I have also had my dog attacked by someone elses. But they have multiple areas, seats, and water for the dogs.
Not a bad place to take your dog on certain days. 1st time we went it was dirty and we was constantly swatting knats and skeeters. Being that theres not a whole lot of options around we tried again months later and found that it wasent soo bad. Has an area for small and large dogs. Some dogs are a little more aggressive than others so just be cautious. But Hershey enjoyed all the company
Used the dog park, nice place. There are two separate areas for dogs based upon their size. There are some fun agility exercises for the dogs to try and have fun. Waste bags are provided if you forget to bring them.
Large park with lots of trees. Friendly dog owners. Water fountain but it was in the sun so I recommend you bring a water bowl. A few chairs were here and there and there was a bench on each side near the entrance. Overall great park.
Great place for the whole family, even those with 4 legs. Softball and soccer fields along with basket ball courts all seem to be kept clean and in good order. Frisbee golf range is great. Clean restrooms, nice walking track, and dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs complete with a dog run.
