Freebird Bar and Grill - Restaurant in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
American breakfast at $6.50. Choice of ham, sausage or bacon. Coffee/tea and juice included. It was ok.
Good vibe , good beer !
I would recommend Buffalo Wings: even small portion is big 😅👌Every Friday - Ladies night ;buy 1 get 1 free
been coming here for over 10 years my absolute favorite! gordon blue is the best Ive ever eaten and still is! everything after 15 years nothing changed
Very good American food and good service from the staff. They were very friendly and the food is well-priced. They also have some good specials.
The steak special was really good!!! They have great food.
Best wings in town none like other, the place very spacey and chill vibe overall a great place to enjoy wings and beer
Great place for friends, family and co-workers. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere.
Really tasty food here and the staff are really nice and friendly. Would highly recommend paying a visit

Great food and Vibe
Freebird Bar and Grill is one of the rare places in Phnom Penh for a great taste of Buffalo wings! While the wing is delicious, its price is surprisingly great, too! The staff members are super friendly! Their beer and cocktail are also great and are served with care!I hope the place gives the promotion to not only women but also men :D
Cant believe the place still looks the same! And them Spicy Buffalo Wings are still served in the same way with the same great taste! Service warm and friendly. Happy to be back!
I returned recently, this review is still 100% accurate:Their buffalo wings are definitely the best in Cambodia, as good as any Ive eaten in the USA. Also very good salads and burgers. The place is nicely decorated, spotless clean, and the service is always super professional.
Relax corner to have good beer buffalo chicken wings and grills.
Decent food. I’ve tried the burger and steak. Steak was a little rare even though I asked for medium. Cigar room upstairs is really good. Cigars are well maintained and reasonably priced. The owner is a warm host and makes you feel very comfortable. Would definitely be visiting soon
Best cigar selection in town hands down. Nice comfortable lounge, solid food and drink choices.
Variety choice of food!!!Would be the best if the foods come out faster!!
Its very tasty Rib steak I loved
A really friendly place, welcoming staff and management and it has a chilled vibe. A very wide selection of drinks and delicious food available too. Free popcorn also! One of my favourite places to drop into in the very heart of Phnom Penh.
Great place to be, delicious food at reasonable prices and best of all they have German Paulaner Hefe Weissbier ( wheat beer ). Not to forget to mention Henry and his team which are very accomodating and service minded. Will be back soon for another dish to try. Fish & Chips, Cordon Bleu and also the Beef lok lak we tried already and reccomend all of this dishes.
Very nice Bar, Henry the owner is a great host. They serve German Paulaner Beer, yummy. Try their chicken wings or salad with blue cheese dressing, fingerlicking good
Just enjoyed a tasty pile of wings from Henry over at Freebird. Great vibes and friendly staff. They also do take-away, which is awesome. Cant wait to come by on Saturday for all you can eat wings.
Authentic styling, great menu to choose from! The atmosphere is something out of this world
great food..and great ambience...we ordered chicken wings and burritos ...and trust me after 5 days in siem reap and a day in phnom penh..i had a very good food...the germn owner has a great knowledge about his food n drinks .
When we first arrived I thought the prices are a little higher than our regular hangouts but when the food arrived I then realised that the prices are value for money. Incredible food. The portions are really big and the flavours great. We stood chatting outside after we had finished when the owner brought us each a taste of his gluwein. Smooth and aromatic. Just wish we had snow to enjoy it in.
I had the chili which was really nice. Good amount of spicy, and there are plenty of sauses to add on. The atmosphere is laid back, and they play good songs, from the same time era as Freebird
I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the bar. Very good chicken wings and a friendly and interesting owner originally from Germany with an eclectic taste in music. Felt like a neighborhood bar, really enjoyed it!
Very good American food. The wings are remarkably excellent. The owner is a German ex-pat and very friendly and accommodating. The have a great private room for parties on the second floor.
Good food, cold beer and welcoming owner.
Great place. Staff, owners and patrons extremely friendly. Chickens wings were Buffalo style and prepared really well. Jalepeno poppers are next on the list to try.
Came after reading reviews of the wings and I wasnt disappointed. Cooked to what would be considered perfection in the States and sauced with their great in-house dressing. Will return again.
Still the same excellent pub after 6 years since my last visit. Food was terrific and the service was great! The atmosphere is so comfortable. I went mid afternoon and there were no other customers. The music was good and not loud at all. Decent happy hours.
I love this place! When I need some me time or chill time with a few friends, I go here for some buffalo wings, jalapeño poppers, chili, and fries! I order them every time I go.Other items on the menu are relatively good, but sometimes it’s a hit or miss (like Mexican food).I like the atmosphere there because it’s not loud or crowded, not too bright/dark, and have the most comfortable high chairs. I get to enjoy the consistent WiFi and AC that can be rare in Cambodia. Staff is very nice too!
I wrote a review but seemd to have disappeared in the ethos! This place is so good, Ill do it again.Great bar, great food and great music. The owner is lovely, not only looking after everyone but had adopted a cat who has has a couple of kittens. He is taking good care of them as sadly 2 kittens didnt make it in this harsh environment 😢. I had a cheeseburger and my husband had a chicken sandwich, both were amazing with really good wine. Went here twice on our visit, both times food and wine was brilliant. Would throughly recommend. We are staying in the Penh house & jungle hotel which is a 5 minute walk to the Freebird. A must go if youre staying here or wherever you are staying in Phnom Penh!
Cool spot. Nice owner. Good food. Wish they had a bigger beer selection, but they had Dr Pepper which is great!
Very nice place to eat western food.Their burgers are great and you can drink Mountain Dew softs !!Thank you !
Beautiful bar serving American staples. Real orange juice. Real coffee. Real bacon strips. Comfortable. Professional all around.
Great food and easy to find. Glad we were able to eat there a few times as one of members of our trip wasnt adventurous with the local cuisine.
The only bar in phnom penh so tastefully designed curated and maintained. With Bose speakers to cajole your ears.
The barman there (maybe the owner?Henry, knows how to make really good drinks... Ask him for his specialty... It tastes like a pie that is familiar all across the states.
Quiet little bar in Street 240. Great place if you want to talk. Great staff, good music, and reliable food. The manager is a really nice guy to talk to as well. Would give 6* if it only had sports on TV. I really like this bar.
I have been going to this place (almost exclusively for breakfast--all daysince 2009 and through three owners. The food is great--especially the breakfasts--and it is not expensive. Also, they deliver to most areas of Phnom Penh. The staff are all well-trained, extremely polite and cute young women with good English; however, this is NOT a lady bar, or anything like it.The food is distinctively American, and it used to be a big hit among the American Embassy crew when it was one of the only places of its type.It is cozy with nice lighting and it doesnt skimp of the air-conditioning--although the new owner doesnt keep it quite as cold as the former owner, who was a bit of a prick...the tradeoff is worth it. The new owner is a German who has spent many years in the States with extensive restaurant/bar experience, and it shows. The new owner has put in a cigar/brandy/whiskey shop on the top floor, with high-end booze and cigars, but there is no smoking in the main restaurant and bar...the cigar lounge upstairs is far enough away with high quality air fliters so that you would never know it was there if you dont do smoking restaurants. This is a great place to get western-American meals, especially the breakfast. The American breakfast at about $5 is hearty; the Freebird breakfast at about $7.5 always lasted me two meals with three eggs, sausage, bacon and ham, homefires or hashbrowns (both well done), fried Mushrooms, coffee and orange juice included. One of my favorite parts about Freebird is the condiment tray with all four types of Tabasco and Kampot Black pepper.
Long time US owned bar with good American bites. If you miss American restaurant, this is your next stop for quick breakfast or lunch. Very comfortable settings with friendly staffs.
There is 3,5 stars but Google switch of this. This is a budget place in USA country bar style. Average cousin and mainstream local lagers on tap.
I was there on a quiet day. The girls at the bar were pleasant, but dont go here if you are looking for a genuine American vibe. Its all approximation.
Actually the food was good, I really had just a problem with the big feeping mice or whatever that was, which seem to live in the bench seat in the back left, where we first sat. Later they were running to the bar and back to us... So I wanted to change the table. But the personal girls didnt seem to have a problem with them... So I guess its typical Cambodian?
Nice bar with good meat, US style - you see the food, you feel the force ;)Very clean inside - how they maintain it within more than ten years ?
Great “American-style” bar, friendliest/best staff in Phnom Penh. Great food at a great price, and if you go in with six of your friends all your food arrives at the same time, which is basically unheard of in Cambodia.
Right when you sit down you are greeted with a chilled towel to help cool yourself off after being in the heat. Then you can check out their daily specials or look at the extensive menu with all kinds of foods (American, Mexican, Khmer, Italian, Middle East). Tasty appetizers and good portion sizes match the slightly higher prices than at other restaurants. If you are looking to be with locals, go elsewhere; but if you are looking for good great food and a place to meet English-speakers from all over, then this is the place.
