Freddy Gonzalez Memorial Park Splash Playground - Water park in Edinburg, United States
Fun spot to bring the kiddos and cool off by getting wet in these hot summertimes
It may look dry if your the first one there but just activate the water with the button
My kids like to have fun
The buckets and umbrella no longer work and very little water comes out.
The water park is ran down.. some of the foundations are not working.. needs repairs and paint...
Its ok to jog. But I would be careful if it smells odd. I didnt smell anything, but when I was eating a snack. I saw the little pond look like it form into a green pond that looks like slime or if someone put cement on it, depending on the angle.
Very nice little playground. My boy loved it. We make a little stop here after school.
Well maintained. My kid loves it here!
Enjoyed my self there, grandchildren injoyed it even more, water park was also clean, bathrooms were clean to
My teen kids n i had a blast as usual, and our pups had a refreshing first time visit too...
The kids had fun at this place but water wasnt running in a few spots.
Nice clean park for young kids to play and cool off
Awesome place for kids. Only wish it had more shade for the parents or those watching the kids.
A great place to just sit and relax. Its was great watching all the kids have fun at the little water park.
Kids had a great time! As long as youre in the water too youre safe from the mosquitoes
The state has been open for a while so Im not sure why they closed the park. They legit closed it like the day after Texas opened. I was taking my kids there and then they randomly closed it. Then theres lots of grown men just sitting in their cars by themselves, thats creepy. Like they dont have kids, theyre not running or walking around, theyre just sitting in their cars with the vehicle on. And it not like one car its like 3 or 4 cars at a time.
Such a nice little park I wish the slides and little playground was open for use for my kids but its ok. Either way it was a nice park.
Nice 1/2 mile course to run at. Not too many ppl. Its safe
Two of my friends and I got together for lunch today to exchange Christmas gifts. We have not seen each other for several months and one was not comfortable going inside restaurants. Decided to get our food at Chick-fil-A and eat at one of the tables at the park and it was perfect. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we had a good time catching up. The park is very well kept and enjoyed watching the ducks and birds in the water. We already decided to do this again soon.
Went there to walk but almost twisted an ankle. They need to fix the sidewalk, its all cracked and leans to one side.
nice and quite park but dog owners dont pick up after themselves. beware when walking / running on the sidewalk.
The walk/jog trail is half a mile.. They have a nice small water park, rest rooms, a little pond... very nice. Alot of parking to the side.. tables to sit and rest with shade.
Fun little inexpensive place to spend the summer days with your kids!! Its free, im not sure the schedule but i do know it takes breaks throughout the day by shutting down water. Youre able to take in snacks and drinks, they also have restrooms on site. Only thing they dont have enough shaded areas during the summer it gets pretty busy therefore the benches and shaded areas get pretty full, i usually take an umbrella. Be sure that kids and grownups will have endless hours of fun.
Very well laid out splash park. Clean Bathrooms and nice playground equipment. Concrete walking trail around the whole park. Abundant parking.
Worst experience ever went at 1:50 waited about 2 hours for the water we left at 4:30 pm since there was no water online it says it starts at 2-5 pm no water what so ever my daughters were disappointed waste of time.. do not bother wasting your time i called the number online and machine operator and doesnt give you any useful information it mentioned a website and still no useful info about times of when they turn the water on.. WHAT THEY SHOULD DO IS HAVE A BUTTON WHERE YOU CAN PRESS TO TURN ON THE WATER INSTEAD OF WAITING AND SEEING IF IT WILL IVER TURN ON.. I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING..
I love it here. I came to bring my kids and they loved it so much that no one wanted to leave. Yall already know how kids get when they dont want to leave. It was very entertaining and theres a park next to it as well. So as soon as they finish playing in the water they can go play in the park.
Small park, Peaceful. It has a walking path, slapshpad for the kids, little play ground and restrooms. Wish it wouldnt get so marshy when it rains but the still water brings in some wildlife birds to view.
Its free and fun for all ages but if its your first time going check frist the Operating hours its only open a short time.
Both my boys had a blast playing at the water park. We liked arriving at 5:30 pm to find a good spot to sit and place our things. The water park has 3 intervals of times that will turn the water back on. 10 am, 3 pm and 6 pm
My first visit there and my kids loved it so much they didnt want to leave but seeing as it is really hot today we didnt stay too long after noon.
Nice water park. They open at 2pm they have rest rooms close by and also bar b q pits if u feel to make a cook out and have the kids get wet.
Brought the kids. Unfortunately we werent aware of the schedule and the water turned off after 20 minutes. My fault. But everything was clean, functioning, and safe.
Good afternoon 🌞 n beautiful
I love the splash pad. Its great for kids and there is also a park for after water fun. They also have seating. It does run in different times. But the park has a sign to let people know the right time for when the water is running. Over all..its a nice family park.
Always fun here. Whether it’s walking the dog, playing with my kids at the park, or catch and releasing in the little water reservoir.
Nice place to take kids to play..water park and dry play ground with picnic tables. Needs shaded areas, gets very hot in the summer
Splash park is great for the little ones
Fun play date location on a weekday daytime. Splash pad was tons of fun for my tots. Took a star off because the bathrooms, although clean, do not have diaper changing station.
I first learned of this place because of Pokemon Go! For all Pokemon Go! players theres a gym here. Now, I bring my little boy here for playdates with his friends! Its really fun to watch him beat the heat in their splash park area!! They seem to have so much fun!! Maybe more seating should be added for parents but its still a wonderful place to bring my baby!
Even though it says it closes at 9:00, you can go at whatever time. I like to go at 11:30 pm. Oh yeah, the police station is super close, so its super safe.
My son lived this place. Ill be taking him again soon. I like that theres bathrooms in which you can change once youre done. Id recommend it during the summer when youre looking for something for the kids to do.
Really nice for quality family time
There are very little people during the day. The kids have fun in the water and the playground.
Beat the heat at this neighborhood park . Kids enjoy getting wet.Picnic and barbecue areas available. Childrens playground and restrooms. Raspa shack across the street.moo moo
Love coming here with my fiance and our kids. Great place to just relax and watch the kids have fun.
Splash area is great entertainment for the kiddos. But it was extremely dirty today, we arrived in the morning and the trash cans were full and trash was blowing in the wind. 😔
Splash park had "dont use reserve for private party" signs and couldnt use the spash zone. Had gone a couple times before and park is always clean. It has a splash area, a playground, a couple shaded picnic tables and a walking trial.
The best place for water babies my children love it yes its a bit small but its a very fun relaxing park
Great place to run its about 2 miles when you run 4 laps. There is only one play ground and about 5 benches that are spaced out around the weird swamp looking dip. The water park is never on. They should have an accessible button visitors can press so that when people arrive at the times that are posted on the website the water will turn on when someones there. I think the city is just afraid to have the water running when people arent there so they just keep it off ?Idk . make a button that can call the city so that the water can be turned on when people want to enjoy it in between posted hours . Thats my suggestion.
Fun and exciting place to take your children you can bring food n relax while you children play but of course its not supervised its play at your own risk what more can you ask for when something is free n open to the public its a lot of fun and a good way to cool down after a long day
