Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in El Dorado

This place use to be nice and good, little pricey but decent. But now? Terrible if you can catch them open. Have made the drive multiple times to find theyre closed when they should be open and their dine in is closed. And good luck calling theyll hang up before you can even speak and then just not answer the phone. Nothings more unfortunate then seeing a decent place get ran into the ground

Was really good when you can go and theyre open says til 11 and theyre closed at 8 call to make sure theyre open a different day answer then hang up and proceed to sent you to an answering service

I loved the burgers very tasty 😋 The service was quick no long wait...

Food was better than staff. This place looked like a free range employee zone. Overall lack of supervision and management. Dirty store. I had high hopes.

I love Freddys. The jalapeño burger is delicious and I like that you can upgrade the combo drink for custard. The kids meal offers kids favorites like Mac and cheese and fresh fruits..

They have nothing. So went there and attempted to order a concrete they didnt have that kind like the other locations did. I then went to order a make your own. The were out of custard. I then decided to get food instead I ordered a chili dog. No can do no hot dogs. I order a side item and left. There is no reason to come to a place if they have nothing to serve. And good grief was the speed of service slow.

Came for dinner with wife. Store was clean with nice decor. Greeted by friendly staff. Ordered double bacon steak burgher with onion rings. Wife ordered Bleu cheese double burgher with fries. Food was fresh and hot. Followed up by turtle Sunday. Wow! Would recommend this place for a nice casual meal. Pricing is fai staff works hard. Will come back again.

Great food and great service. The girl that took our order was very sweet and we were well taken care of. The only reason it was not 5 stars was because the tables were not clean and we had to search around the resturaunt for a table acceptable enough to sit at.

Burger was okay, fries are thin, the Freddy sauces are kind of plain. Just your average burger joint with shakes.

I like the burgers but the fries are not my favorite. The fry sauce is good but I take it home and put them on my steak fries I make. Nice clean store and everyone was friendly.

Sat at the speaker box for a while without being acknowledged, then instead of a greeting i got “go ahead”. Then, as i’m ordering, i try to get a brownie sunday and she tells me that all the chocolate is melted and i can do vanilla instead. I dont know if this was to discourage me from getting ice cream cause they didnt want to make it, but i ended up skipping cause if its true then they arent keeping a safe food temp on their ice cream which is scary. Food takes a while to be ready as it usually does (spent 15-20 minutes total in the drive thru, i was the only car at the time, and it was 6pm so not like they were going to close soonand as expected fries were room temp and soggy, and burger was underwhelming for the price. Ive tried to give this place a couple of chances but even since its grand opening years ago its just been a mess. Each time has been a progressively worse experience, so sad to say i’ll not be returning.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE FOOD and SERVICE!! TODAYS VISIT DESERVES A MINUS 100 STARS!!!! I even tried to call the manager thats on duty today and he had the nerve to have an attitude with me because Im telling him how my food is not prepared correctly. I dont understand why these managers want to argue with customers when theyre the ones giving us subpar, reheated in the microwave, overcooked, burnt food. Whats really ridiculous is Im not lying about what they gave me so why are you ARGUING with the customer who spent their hard-earned money which is hard to come by nowadays at their establishment. The managers name was definitely hard to pronounce but he worked today and said he was busy doing paperwork which seemed like I was interrupting him and he didnt want to handle this issue. I will not EVER EVER patronize this business again!! WHATS EVEN MORE CRAZY IS that IF THE MANAGER WOULD HAVE TAKEN SOME ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE FOOD THAT WAS HANDED OUT OF THE RESTAURANT AND HUMBLED HIMSELF I WOULD HAVE FELT OKAY WITH HIM TRYING TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. I dont want anything free I only want what I paid for and that was edible, hot, well seasoned food.

Service was friendly! But the extremely underwhelming spicy chicken sandwich and regular cheese curds cost nearly $13!! SOOOO ... Not worth the money!!

Customer service is excellent, wait times are minimal, a d of course the hamburgers are so delicious.

The first few times we ordered the turtle sundae it was delicious. Today we ordered our usual and we were disappointed. Two sundaes were completely missing the caramel and hot fudge. One was way smaller than the other one.

The service tonight was awful. These 3 young men seemed as if they didnt want to be here. The establishment was a mess. It took 40 minutes for our food that was slopped together. And 25 minutes for our ice cream which the chocolate machine went down. My first and last time here

It was delish! The burgers are def better than Culvers. There wasnt even a lengthy wait for the quality food served. The key lime pie mixer was soooo yummy. I like the menu, isnt too overwhelming with the perfect amount of choices

Please be patient with them they are very short staffed and doing the best that they can. Still great staff and service, just a little longer of a wait. They serve with a smie.

These are fantastic burgers. Similar to a cross between Schoops and Wendys. Delicious big burgers with some char.I cant stand the fries. They are shoestring and I just dont enjoy skinny fries. If you like skinny shoestring fries, this is a 5 star review for you.

I love Freddys and Its one of my favorite places. The only issue here is the staff. They almost always are pretending to be closed 30-45 minutes before closing time. Almost every time Ive been here within 30 minutes of closing, Ive had to literally convince them to take my order even though they were actually still open. If it happened once or twice, I wouldnt care, but its clearly a daily issue. Besides that, they have the best burgers, fries, and cheese curds!

This place was great when it opened, service was fast and the food was good. Most recently the drive thru has been terrible. A few weeks ago, I spent close to 40 minutes in the drive thru and that was with only 3 cars in front of me when I entered the que. it took about 30 minutes to get to the window after I ordered and another 10 minutes at the window once I paid. I know places are short staffed, but times like that are not going to get repeat customers.On a plus, the food was hot and good.

I asked for a cheese burger was charged for a double cheeseburger then I had asked for a sweet tea which they gave it to me warm with no ice. Just because she was mad. Never will I ever come back to this store. Rude long drive thru time and cant get youre order right dont waste ur time

The food and custard are great. However, what really made it great was the staff. The girl working the register and the guys in back were so polite and helpful. We went on Thursday night 12/2/21 around 7:30 so I hope management takes notice.

The sign looks incouraging and I was hoping to finally get good burger from a fastfood restaurant. I ordered the Jalapeno burger meal from the drive throug. There was one car ahead of me only and it took them 10 mintes to get my order. The skinny fries were good and the meat in the burger was not bad at all. They use a soft bun. Overall, definately the best fastfood burger so far.

Be sure to check your order before driving away. When your order is wrong, the result is less food, never more food. This location has much difficulty fulfilling a large fry request though absolutely zero problems with charging you the $4 for a large fry. This has happened three times in the last month. Lobby closed so you can’t get the order fixed. Shame on me I guess.And insult to injury, ordered a double cheese burger with everything add lettuce and got a single hamburger with mustard and pickle. Fries AND burger are cold. One other person in line behind me. I will update after contacting management.Update: I was contacted promptly after submitting a review on their website. A local manger contacted me via email within a few days and stated he would send 2 meal vouchers. The vouchers never came. I received a follow up email shortly thereafter, and was told the local manager would contact me. I did indeed receive a phone call and voicemail stating that two more vouchers would be sent to me and that the original two were likely to arrive.Guess what? Nothing ever arrived. I checked and rechecked my home address that I sent them. I still never see more than a car or two in the drive thru. Too bad. The first couple times I was here, it was delicious. Too bad, this is a shame.

I ordered a #6 spicy chicken. I had to wait longer than I liked however I was asked if I wanted something while I wait. Well my chicken was not spicy. My vanilla shake leaked from a hole in the bottom I didn’t notice until after I drive away and felt the cold shake on me. It just wasn’t worth 11 bucks.

Very delicious burgers, although my fries was semi warm and not HOT and fresh. i still enjoyed my steak burger. Dining room tables were wiped down but not the seats and the floors didnt look swept. Also i noticed when using the washroom, floors were very very slippery because hand soap leaks on floor/tile. All in all, not a bad place, staff was friendly and nice but some improvements need to be made.

Perfectly crisped melt in you mouth steak burger 🤤. Yummy soft brownies served w/ frozen custard! Excellent customer service, clean and socially distanced.

Great steak burgers. You can make any burger a lettuce wrap. Love the thin fries and onion rings. Not busy when we visited.

I first fell in love with this place when I visited El Dorado, Kansas about 2 years ago and thought it would be almost never til Id see this place again. But when I found out that Tinley Park had one, its now become part of my food-vacay every year I visit (from FL)! Always delicious!!!

First time going there, the burger was delicious, not a fan of the tiny fries. Some of the staff seemed to be more interested in socializing with there friends in the sitting area. But I will give it another try another day.

Wasnt the best food Ive eaten the Chicago style hot dog was kind of bland and the burger was not the greatest and the fries horrible unless you like tiny shoestring fries

Love the fries and the chicken tenders are juicy (something you rarely get from fastfood places, the honey mustard sauce was good as well with a mild mustard kick... the fry sauce was delicious and can be used both for fries and chicken and even some on the burger which was good as well (if you like Culvers, youll love it here).

Come here every so often. Burgers always taste good. The onion rings are really good too! Love the jalapeno fry sauce, yum! Tried the strawberry funnel cake sundae today. Was soooo good! Funnel cake was freshly made and tasted delish. Definitely give it a try when u go as it is for limited time only!(funnel cake was during summerI just tried the cookie butter concrete!!(end of December)Omg!! Sooo good! If you love spice cookies you have got to try it! Worker says she thinks they are selling them thru January!! Dont miss out!

Great new fast food option in the Orland/Tinley area.....unique taste.......the Hot Dog and Burgers are one of a kind. Any comparsion to Steak and Shake is not acceptable, Freddys is real fast food not generic. The Custard is great too, get the mix chocolate vanilla sundae, first topping is free.

I liked it, just your typical steak burger place. The French fries were crispy and the dipping sauce is great. I got the number 6 double steak burger California style, grilled onions instead of raw with fries and a drink for 8.88 and it filled me up. Still had juet enough room for a mini custard sundae and that was good also.
