Fred Hartman Bridge - Bridge in Channelview, United States
The Fred Hartman Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in the U.S. state of Texas spanning the Houston Ship Channel
Loved it!
Kids ❤️ the view from hereThis photo is taken by my youngest
The imp one was installed in my vehicle and it was dispersed through the AC unit and it was all over me and it apparently keeps me from growing tumors from the radiation Ive been exposed to is what I think but you can look at the research and if you need more information let me know I can access it
my favorite part if my commute, says goodbye to me in the morning and welcome back in the afternoon.
Awesome bridge, looks great at night
Access to travel across town. But,has constant construction! Morning hours backups.
I mean its a nice HIGH bridge but the city needs to take good care of it. Its nasty all around it.
Looks great at night. Gusty winds on the bridge at times.
Great pic when its all lite-up at night i miss the tunnel
I understand closing the bridge for repairs, but what’s the point of putting an opening time of 5 AM Sunday…and its not open????
Welcome to Houston! 😂Nice bridge 👍👍👍
Really beautiful bridge to drive over!
Always saw pictures of it on the internet. Was able to pass by it just today. The traffic is pretty fast moving so make sure that you stop on your extreme right. Also, you are not supposed to park and leave your vehicle. If you decide to do it anyway make it short. The view is not breath taking but certainly is refreshing.
Great example of a cable-stayed bridge. Beautifully designed. Looks cool lit up at night.
On they way to 225 there is a massive speed bump for some reason. OUCH! Poor vehicles. Only way to avoid it, is to go to the left lane.
I guess its a nice spot to fish under plus its nice bridge to cross when Im pulling the boat to get there.
Lived in Baytown went over this bridge often. Great bridge but when it’s windy you can feel the bridge move. Scary feeling!
Such a beautiful bridge but the shoulder is garbage. I rode on it and coming down on a bicycle at 29 mph I hit some wood and the bump/shock made one of my bottles fell off my bike and I did not get the bottle back and was with too many people going too fast on too steep an incline to do anything. I love the uphill being a slow uphill rather than a steep and enjoy the blast of speed I get on the downhill. The road is beautiful and is worthy of tourism but the shoulder is littered and Baytown needs to do something about it.
Similar to a bridge from back home called the The Kosciusko bridge minus the colorful lights at night.
It’s a bridge. It works, it doesn’t break when you drive over it. Looks pretty cool I guess.
Nice and beautiful bridge love seeing it lit at night and nice bridge to cross when heading to Baytown and La Porte!
I lived in Baytown for years worked at old Gulf coast Hospital and loved hearing the stories of Mr Hartman and the bridge. Baytown was a good place to live.
Nice and large view when go down ,feeling well and we are so small in the earth.
As far as bridges go, it stayed UP the entire crossing, never swayed, everyone stayed on the side they belonged...so yeah awesome
This bridge is very beautiful at night when it is all lit up.
There are hippies hanging from this bridge. It’s hilarious. Aside from the car accident they caused this morning it has been a source of amusement on my Thursday commute.
So this bridge was named after Fred Hartman he was an editor for the Baytown Sun. 77th largest bridge in the world, largest cable stayed bridge in Texas and a price tag of $91.25 million!!
It is rare to have stopped traffic going this route for my commute. Use this bridge 5 days a week and its always moving. They do escort crane trucks and an occasional wide thru which will slow it down.
Seems like a pretty good bridge, very functional for getting across the ship channel twice a day on my travels. works great unless it gets icy and they close it.
When I first moved to Houston I was surprised to find a bridge as large as the Fred Hartman between Baytown and La Porte. This bridge is quite high and I think its second after the Rainbow Bridge in Bridge City, TX. Nonetheless, this is a great place for photos or just to drive over if youre in the area. My only complaint is that at night the only lighting is in a boring orange which almost makes this landmark disappear against a skyline of oil refineries. It would be nice to see the Hartman light up in a different color, just sayin.
Its a bridge over the water! It has a place to drive your vehicle. It is open at night too. You can drive up one side and down the other. Normal traffic laws apply.
Beautiful bridge...😍
Beautiful design. At night I love the way the lights shine upwards, makes the poles seem light their glowing.
Great bridge. Nice views. Takes you where you need to go.
Driving across this bridge is the only thing that makes going to work bearable. 10/10 recommend
I love driving on this bridge, its way better than that stupid Toll Bridge and best of all, theres no charge! Feel free to drive across this beautiful bridge as many times as you want, it is even more beautiful at night. No doubt the best bridge in Texas!
This is a cable-stayed bridge, a modern day design of bridge. Somewhat looking scary but its sturdy and strong.
I drive across it every night,I deliver medication from Pearland and as far as Beaumont. At first I was afraid, now I love the experience Everytime I cross it😊😎🤗
Beautiful bridge. Though access, hard to get a good view
Really cool to make a trip over this bridge! I wish there was a seperate biking and walking lane to enjoy it outside of a vehicle and take in the sights of it!
Finally visited the bridge I Inspected while working for TXDOT when I was in high school... Class of 1995...23 years later and I am grateful to have seen it and able to drive over it...
Every day I drive on this bridge back and forth. Clean, easy going very good 😊
Great view of the Houston Ship Channel.
As we approached a large seemingly unpassable body of water on the highway, this magnificent bridge allowed us to pass over it with ease. I wont be swimming out of my submerged car today I tell you!
Love this bridge it is such a beautiful Bridge , it just amazes me every time I drive over this one.
Its always something fun to do when youre low on funds and in the mood for a little urban exploration. Its striking during the day but absolutely beautiful when itslit up in the evening.
I take the back route from Spring, TX to Kemah or Galveston so I can drive on the Fred Hartman bridge. Its such a beautiful site in day & at night...
This bridge is the most elegant and stable bridge Ive ever slept under in my 27 year career as an archaeologist. If you look closely enough sometimes youll find dolphins. Thanks for your read of my review.
Fred hartman bridge is the most beautiful bridge I have ever seen in my life especially at night its like it up opening to evan I get close
