We diined here a while ago for our Wedding anniversary, it was the best restaurant Ive been to for a long time.I enjoy cooking at home and have very high expectations when dinning out .If I can do better at home , why spend soo much to be disappointed when dinning out .You have more than surpassed my expectations. Absolutely nothing negative at all. Food, wine and service were all amazing. Had the lamb shoulder, which I didnt want to end. So tender. So flavoursome. We had an awesome Sangiovese from Tuscany, which went perfectly.

Excellent service and food

Service was friendly. The meals I chose were disappointing for the price. Prawn bruschetta, boscaiola, 2 cheeses. Entree and main were tasteless.

Ordered takeaway for an eat at home celebration. The three meals were superb, very tasty! The meats were tender and veges flavourful. The meals came out at the time advised and was still hot when I got it home. This was an enjoyable takeaway dining experience others must try!

We were in the area and tried this place out for lunch. Pasta was so fresh, perfectly al dante and theres something about the freshness of the tomato sauce used for the pasta. The tossed veggies had an added dash of zing, may be from lemon, which elevated the dish to the next level. Loved it.

This was our first visit to Fratelli Roma and we were very impressed .From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. We are Maitland locals who have been dining at Fratelli now for a number of years, yet it still continues to wow us each time. The food is always on point; it’s a sophisticated menu, yet also rustic, generous and comforting - as any genuine Italian should be. The dishes are made with love and served with pride. The wine list is extensive, showcasing many local Hunter Valley varieties, as well as authentic Italian wines. But what sets Fratelli apart is its amazing team, and its consistency. The kitchen runs like clockwork and the service is simply exceptional. We work in the hospitality business ourselves and are continuously impressed. The wait staff are prompt, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and they never miss a beat. Being welcomed on arrival and farewelled at the end of the evening by the owner Dan (no matter how busy they are at the timewill never get old. Fratelli is such a well-oiled machine and many restaurants can only hope to aspire to the calibre of food, service, hospitality and professionalism that Fratelli offers. Your team should be very proud of what you have created and also contributed to our local food scene. Maitland is so very, very lucky to have you.

Not an authentic Italian restaurant. We were left disappointed especially with the price and false advertising in their pictures on the website.

The food was amazing and the service was exceptional! It really was as good as you would get anywhere. Great Italian food. Will not hesitate to be back or recommend eating here as it was absolutely delightful at every stage.

Myself, my fiance and our 11 month old son had such a lovely experience at Fratelli Roma on Saturday night. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our food was absolutely delicious and we even received a complimentary dessert which was such a beautiful gesture & much appreciated. Thankyou for looking after our little family so well & making it such an enjoyable dinner. We look forward to coming back!

Loved the special Barramundi meal tonight, a great restaurant, ambience, music and staff. Overall a great atmosphere. Will remember and recommend to everyone. Definitely will visit again whenever I am back to Maitland.

Wonderful, relaxing, calm ambience and great selection of music. Good food and great staff. Book / reserve table in advance as its always full. Barramundi dish was sotasty and was the French Martini.

We took my husbands parents for dinner (from Sydneyand can I just say how wonderful our experience was! Emma, our main waitress was an absolute superstar, as was the rest of the staff. The food was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere, and the wine selection great (although a pinot gris/grigio option would have been even better).Cannot recommend highly enough. We will be back!!

We have been going to Fratelli Roma for our special occasion dinners since moving to Maitland seven years ago. The food and service has been consistently exceptional every time and we always look forward to our next visit.

Simply put this was one of the best dining experiences I have had. Perfect romantic setting. The wait staff were fantastic and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious from starters right through to main. Excellent selection of drinks including top notch wines, craft beers and cocktails. Attention to detail was amazing. The pacing of the delivery of food was spot on. The 2hrs I spent there didnt feel rushed or seem like you were waiting too long. Price of the meal was absolutely well worth it. I couldnt highly recommend this place high enough. I will definitely be back.

I’ve sorely missed dining at Fratelli . After moving to Newcastle for a number of years, then returning to the Maitland area, I was absolutely delighted to find my favourite Italian restaurant was (arguably unsurprisinglystill kicking on. I enjoyed a birthday dinner with family recently, and I was just delighted that Nathan (restaurant manager, and a part of the family operationrecalled my name from years ago. They seem to really have it all worked out. Beautiful food prepared by Chef Dan and his beautiful wife Christine, excellent service from a team of attentive staff, and a lovely venue that is the embodiment of fine yet relaxed dining and Maitland’s history. I look forward to returning to old habits, with many more evenings here enjoying good food and company with the best after-dinner margarita on Earth.

Went out for lunch and used my diners voucher and was a very friendly environment hostess and chefs were very attentive. And the food was great definitely a go to for my next pasta or steak fix ❤

Went for dinner last night at 6pm, didnt receive our meals until 8:15 when we asked if there was a problem with our order as it had been 2 hours and we hadnt received our meals, we were told, yea well its really busy tonight. No apology, we were ignored for the last hour not asked if we needed drinks or anything. Very disappointed with the service.

A great night out at a wonderful Italian restaurant. The wine cellar is impressive, the food is authentic Italian cuisine and the staff were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this treasure in the heart of Maitland. Plenty of gluten free options too

How can I describe one of the most beautiful and intimate dining experiences I have encountered in the longest time, the place was packed, yet everyone was so peaceful and quiet, they were so busy but our food arrived so quick, the staff were run off their feet yet they were so friendly and accommodating... And the food.... Oh my gods the food everything was beyond perfection. If you love someone and that person loves food? Please take them here.

Tonight was the second time my wife and I have been to this venue. This time we took my parents for a Christmas treat. Again we were not disappointed. The service from the time you call to book, table service, check backs and finalising the bill is impeccable. The food was amazing again, portion sizes perfect when there is so much to explore on the menu and the desserts are worth saving room for. Look forward to returning in the New Year for the best Italian weve had locally.

The restaurant was really busy. In spite of this, the service was excellent, the staff really pleasant and the food delicious. We had the best gnocchi with lamb ragu and papardelle ever. Thank you.

One of the best restaurants in the area. I went out with 5 friends of mine after we haven’t seen each other in years. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff did everything they could to make sure we are having a nice, pleasant time.

Outstanding meal. The risotto with confit duck was perfect, and the gnocchi I pinched off my coworkers plate was as well. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service and a menu that had so many good options it was hard to pick just one. I’m not a good photographer - these photos dont do the food justice!

Really, really good...great service, very good food beautifully presented. We booked and were placed in the quiet part of the restaurant which was great. We shared a bread entree and then had mains..Agnello (lamb shouldervery melt in the mouth.Fettucine with pumpkin, pesto and pine nuts. Tiramisu for desert and lemon tart 💕

Great restaurant. Beautifully prepared food. Its great to go to a restaurant where the portions are just right instead of huge meals usually served. Great service. Lovely staff. If I had to pick on one thing that would be that the menu is very limited. Overall highly recommended

Service was excellent. Waitress/waiters are very friendly and know their dishes. Unfortunately a few from our group including myself were quite unhappy with the quality of the main course. My succulent lamb needed a steak knife to cut through and was the toughest lamb Ive ever had. My colleagues was the same. Another colleague complained his steak was as tough as an old leather shoe. Sorry but this isnt what we came for. The desserts were excellent though.

The moment you step into the restaurant the modern Italian ambience rolls through you and your greeted by polite waitstaff and showed to your table. From there, the meals were hearty, delicious and cooked beautifully. The gnocchi is hand made by the restaurant and it’s amazing. If your passing though, definitely stop by, bookings essential and parking is plentiful.
