Fratelli Briganti - Pizza restaurant in Florence, Italy
Excellent food quality with so warm-hearted staff and a very fair price. What a beautiful night I spent there. Grazie Sig. Briganti!
Great food and charming busy Italian atmosphere.
The best pasta with truffles Ive eaten until now. Truly recommend!
This restaurant is fantastic. We were lucky enough to stay in this area where there were no tourists so we hung out with the locals. The food was delicious. The service was fantastic.
Fantastic!!! Pastas were amazing, pizza was fantastic and the veal chop was 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Service was wonderful. Open kitchen so you could watch them prepare the dishes and toss the pizza dough. Heading back through Florence and we will eat here again - it’s a must!!
My favorite restaurant in Florence.
If youre looking for a traditional restaurant where you can eat good quality Italian food for a fair price, this is the place to be. We didnt have a reservation but they found a table for us. I recommend you make a reservation to be sure.
Excellent Tuscan comfort food
Simple food prepared in a superb way in generous dishes. The spaghetti are a must try
One of the best restaurants in Italy. I was in many restaurants but this one is really amazing. Very kind personal and really tasty food for good prizes. Thank you for great experience. Pasta and pizza was amazing.
Very nice place mostly for the locals that makes the experience a little more authentic. Food carries nice tastes only the pasta felt like a standard dried pasta from the shop cooked perfect. Home made pasta could make the experience more perfect. Overall a solid place and a good night out
Affordable and very tasty, one of the waiters (the tallest and nicestwas the most friendly and helpful person ever.
Its very appreciated by locals and their food is very authentic.
One of the best places in Florence: tasty, affordable and friendly.
The food is amazing and the service is excellent. Would definitely recommend this place!! Really fair price as well.
Everything is great about this place; the food is delicious and the service is amazing ! Make sure you enjoy this place before leaving Florence ! Even if its a little bit out of the city center.. its worth the effort !
I spent 12 weeks living in Florence. More broadly, I’ve spent 1,095 weeks on this Earth (21 years). In that time, I’ve come across my fair share of traditional Italian restaurants. Each claims some long, confusing interwoven history of family and food. But Fratelli Briganti, rich with its own backstory (which I recommend you ask about), is BY FAR the best Italian restaurant I have ever experienced. The food is definitionally exceptional. The food’s an emotional experience. There are few restaurants in the world worth traveling long distances for, Fratelli Briganti is undoubtedly one of them.
Great food and excellent, elegant service for a rather humble price. We got beer, water, fries, two desserts, pizza and pasta for exactly 40€. The spaghetti here is famously delicious but if you don’t like Parmesan cheese speak up when you order, because it comes smothered. The pizza was great; we could have had another. We sat outside in a very nice covered and heated area, but inside you can have a great view of the kitchen and also the pizza guy!
Great gem. We loved the food! The service was done by a waiter who was literally running everywhere and had barely any time for anything since he was looking after so many guests but he was good and courteous. He did mistake one of our order though but we were fine with keeping it how it was.We had their famous pasta al pomodoro and pizza with sausage and onion. It was so goooood. The crème caramel was a bit dry to my taste but the tiramisu was excellent. Do make the trip there if you have the chance!
Now easily reached with the metro (piazza Leopoldo stop, then 200m uphill), still the same savoury "spaghettini". Also recommended the steak.
Oh. My. Goodness. That steak was almost too much for me even in its gorgeous, naked state. A light squeeze of lemon, spring salad and sparkling water was all it took to wow.
Great prices, incredible food, fast and friendly service. Came here last time in 2013 and its just as good.
Strongly recommended... From starters to deserts, from atmosphere to servis...It is like Ponte Vecchio, very Florance, it is a "must" for visitors...
Mushroom and truffle pasta very good. Pasta with spicy tomato sauce very good. House wine OK. Better wine by the glass. Service very good.
Talhateli ao ragu is amazing and Tbone grilled and served with sicilian lemon.
Best Tbone ever had . Pizza is also great ! True Italian
Typical, genuine Italian restaurant. Popular and well known for people in the area. It is difficult to find parking for dinner time but the tram, Leopoldo stop, is close. In the evening the restaurant also serves pizza and it is open until late. If you are looking for typical local food and wine this place is for you. It is a good idea to reserve a table if you would not like to wait before getting a seat.
We like a lot to lunch here! We taste the pasta and some deserts.. We love it! The staff is wonderful!
Hustling and bustling with locals and a few lucky tourists like us! Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Service was superb and they had some good handle of the english language. Fun to watch the waiters running around and the cooks prepping in the kitchen. Love it!
Really enjoyed our meal. Lovely location, great food and friendly service
Very good, real Italian food and authentic athmosphere. It is popular with the locals but foreigners are also not rare. If not booked in advance for dinner, you should be ready to wait until a table is free so you can be seated.
My husband and I, with our two nieces, ate three nights in a row at this restaurant. From the steak to the pasta to the fried vegetables, we loved it all! Shout out to our wonderful waiter Franco who was attentive and friendly despite our lack of italian knowledge. Come out and enjoy their food, its really awesome.
This is actually the worst food I’ve ever had. This place probably paid off guy fieri. My entire family agreed it’s garbage. My father of 65 years old says this is a disgrace to Italian food and this place should be locked up and have the key thrown in the river.
This restaurant was an amazing find for us. The food was delicious and our waiters were all really accommodating and helpful. This felt much more authentic than the other meals we had- definitely worth getting a bit out of the city center to dine here.
It might be best to make a reservation, but we dined here twice and only had a short wait both times. Very friendly service and excellent food. The pasta with fresh tomatoes was particularly delicious, and the tiramisu was better than any Id had before.
Amazing food, amazing pizza. Unique staff. Proper local restaurant
Take away prices are incredible and the staff are very friendly! Highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara and the Pizza! We are there 4 nights in a row because nothing else matched it in quality and taste and price!
Wonderful local family restaurant, where food is great - from antipasti to Florentine steak to pastas and pizzas. Fantastic choice of wines both local as well as supertuscans, and above all - heart melting service. We were there twice and second time we were greeted like part of the family, offered extra pecorino for free with our antipasti, because we really loved it last time, remembered which wine we had and offered the same, and on our way our we were given the book about the Briganti family and awesome calendars with family recipes. This is the type of places why Italy, and especially Tuscany is so so so special. Can not recommend this enough!!!
A quaint restaurant away from the city centre. Food here is AMAZING, cheap (8eur on averageand portions are big! Service here is good as well. It is really a great restaurant!! definitely worth a try!
Food was perfection! However felt very much like an inconvenience as British. Its completely our fault as our Italian is extremely limited but felt not welcome. The food is very good though and the restaurant seated us without a reservation. The mushroom tagliatelle was marvellous. A lot of locals eating in so must be good. Would definately give this place try. P.s. do not forget the tiramisu. Lovely.
True to itself, run by the same family since the beginning, this is real florentine cuisine. Simply marvelous, a place to forget time and all the nuisances of life.
The bistecca fiorentina is awesome and the pizza is great. Reasonable price. Definitely recommend!
Amazing food here, if you want a quick into to the restaurant guy fieri does a piece on the place, good overview of some of the signature dishes!
THE place to eat in Florence. You need reservations. Amazing food. This is one place Italian chefs go to eat good Italian food.
Great service and our pasta was delicious with a great bottle of wine for lunch.
Very happy lunch on a very hot day. Last lunch before they close for vacation. Maybe thats why theyre so happy. Simple food well prepared. Eating with locals is such a relief.
Felt like a very local place that served truly local food. The pizza was awesome and everything was for a good price.
Great pasta and a nice place. Prices are a bit high for this neighborhood, so it feels a bit upscale.Would recommend for a weekend lunch!
Very nice and traditional restaurant.Go for classic in there, spaghetti and pizza!
Been to Italy multiple times and this is the only restaurant in Italy I ever had to queue! And I waited for more than 30mins before I got a table
